I am rejecting this response because: As you can see from the attachments that my buyer of my property had to hire a carpet cleaner and also charged me for the removal of the furniture left behind to the total amount of $350. Hector credited me $200 for the smashed desk and nothing for the filthy carpet, but made note of the condition of the brand new carpet needing cleaning.,Regards,
A[redacted]
I disagree because:Please see the attachments from my realtor and the new buyer of my property. The new buyer states that he had to get the carpet cleaned and charged me for the removal of the furniture left behind for a total of $350. I am just asking to made whole again, I disagree because:Please see the attachments from my realtor and the new buyer of my property. Hector gave me a credit of $200 for the smashed desk and made note at the end of the move about the filthy rug. I am just tying to be made whole again, nothing more or less.

I am rejecting this response because: this saga only continues because this company is still telling stories. Yes, we had a personal estimate, they are well versed at offering additional services and products, boxes etc without revealing a cost. I was contacted on several occasions to set up the move date, and when I explained that I had received a lower estimate, I was told that our move was not going to be more than $2500, and no where near the "Not to go over " price of $3309.15. After this very convincing conversation, I booked the date for the move.we had been preparing for this move for 2 months, and had boxes packed in every room, the statement that we were not ready is completely false. At NO time was there any conversation about leaving any items for our family to move ...utterly ridiculous. There was never a final walk through, the team leader "T[redacted]", was very quick to cross off the area of the paperwork that indicated that nothing was left behind, so if this agreement was made, I would expect it to be on the receipt. When my son called the day after the move,to report the many items that were not moved, the response was to send out a truck to complete the move but never said there would be no change, and could not tell him when the truck could be there, this was on Saturday July 23rd. We had a deadline to be out of the house and had to complete the move using five personal vehicles and several trips. I have never asked for anything more than what I feel is fair. I had spent hours on the phone with 4 people at this company before trying to talk to the GM. We made specific days and times to speak by phone, and she did not follow through with those plans. I waited for two entire days for her call, which never came. After so many tries to resolve this issue I felt I had no other option than to use social media to tell our story. I told them on numerous emails that I did not want to do that, I never have posted anything negative on a review site or on social media. We have documented many of the broken items that were packed by their packers, as well as boxes we packed. All were marked very fragile, but we saw the movers ignore this. I had NO idea that anyone went to their office and do not condone this visit. If I felt it would make a difference in the outcome, I would have been there myself. I really don't know how to get this to a reasonable outcome. I am still shocked that this company operates in this manner. As I may have mentioned previously, I am not the only person who has been treated so unfair, overcharged and did not have their move completed. I am positive they know this fact, and continue to create me as the villain and extorting. This is completely unjust and a sad attempt to believe their own lies. In the responses from them, through the Revdex.com , I find it interesting how much their story changes, while mine has remained consistent.

ost to $2500.00. This included us not completing the entire scope of work and the client having to complete a portion so we could get the move done in less hours. On move day, the client was not fully packed and it made it difficult to complete the scope of work in the time we calculated let alone to get it done in less time that would fit what the client wanted to pay. We performed her pack and she sent the packers away and we refunded her for the cost of materials and gave her two hours of free packing. On the move, we exceeded the maximum price by almost $500.00 and we did not charge the client for that additional time that it took because they did not prepare for the move. After the move, we were informed that items were left that the client wanted to be moved despite the fact that the crew completed a walk through on move day. Regardless, we offered to come out at no cost and move the remainder of the items. The client refused and said that want money instead, which they were not entitled to because we completed the scope of work and more work that we did not agree to at the time of the estimate. We spoke with her and she requested almost $1000.00 back. We did not understand why she felt justified in asking for a refund and told her that so she requested to speak with someone else. Our General Manager tried on several occasions with scheduled calls and emails to speak with her with no luck. Rather, the client emailed that she was too busy to talk and spent time writing negative reviews and then started demanding $1500.00 back rather than the $1000.00 she initially asked for. At this point, we realized this client wasn’t interested in being reasonable and must have had other motives in demanding money back. About a month later, a family member of hers came into our office demanding a check for $1500.00 claiming we ripped his family off and cursing and threatening my staff with physical violence. We had to call the police because our staff was afraid of hi. We let him know we would be happy to speak w

I am rejecting this response because: I never went to this office,I never threatened anyone's! I have tried many times to connect with the General Manager,A[redacted]. She has scheduled times for a telephone conversation, only to wait all day, no call. I feel she is exaggerating our claim for "huge " amounts of money, which is also Not true. We have asked for a fair refund for a job they did not complete and for damage and broken valuables that were discovered after I filled this complaint. After speaking with several people in the community, l find our issue with this company are common, I would certainly never threaten anyone, I consider myself to be professional and honest in any situation and have tried to resolve this issue in a professional manner. At this time I feel that this is going nowhere unless I go to Small Claims court, and have no energy to continue dealing with the,,which is what they were planning on. I am a strong believer in Karma, I will leave it there. I don't know how they can continue running a business in this manner, and feel good about themselves. I have better things to do than play this game.I appreciate the service provided by the Revdex.com and the assistance provided to me. I'm not so sure that they deserve the stamp of approval by the Revdex.com, perhaps a review of the business practices is due.

As A[redacted] has pointed out, we were not able to provide a complete estimate due to the nature of how her items were situated. We did move more than what was agreed upon with no increase in the Not to Exceed price in an attempt to make A[redacted] happy on move day. We did have to put a limit on how much additional un-billed work we did for A[redacted] and it is unfair for her to demand compensation that we did not perform even more services for free.  As A[redacted] admitted in her response, we did end up exceeding what we had quoted but we did not charge her for this in the interest of customer service. The documentation prior to any complaint that A[redacted] had made, explicitly pointed out that we refunded A[redacted] $200 for damage AND carpet cleaning. A[redacted] agreed to this after the move and it is unclear why she is demanding to be refunded again for the already settled amount.  We had offered A[redacted] an additional refund of $40.00 which she refused stating that she will simply go to the Revdex.com to get all of her money.  We had already provided more moving services beyond the original agreement at no additional cost to A[redacted]. We are unable to refund for not doing more free work for A[redacted]. We have already refunded A[redacted] for the damage and soiled carpet/rug which she is asking for.

I am rejecting this response because we are still trying to get this claim resolved.  We have submitted claim forms and are mailing in additional information.  The final letter is being mailed in today.  We have been routed around their company with no resolution.

As our client has stated, we did perform an in person estimate and we did have an accurate scope of work. We had offered a 2nd truck option prior to the service as well as early in the day. If chosen, the 2nd truck option would have alleviated any cargo space or time issues. It is unfortunate that we were not able to fit all of the items into a single truck. Of course we offered to complete the service the following day but this option was also refused.   As previously stated, in the interest of customer service, we have offered a substantial refund even though we were able to offer solutions prior to, during and after the service which would have completed the move. Unfortunately, all of these options were rejected as they were presented. Eric’s requested solution would have put or moving crew’s safety and well-being at risk.

I am rejecting this response because:Of their overall dishonesty of changing what I was originally told. When the inventory was done, I was told that not everything could be seen and that would have to make a best  guess as to all that was there.I had no idea that there was a time limit for the move and was certainly not asked to pay extra for the things left behind. They played with the "final dollar amount"  because they did exceed that amount and make an adjustment without stating "what it was for" so that they would not exceed the contract. Unfortunately, they could say that money was for anything. What has NOT been covered is for the filthy rug, which Hector made note of at the very end. Also, there was no allowance for the furniture that was left behind, the dresser and nightstand (which I have photos of). They broke a clear large glass jar filled with seashell and deducted $40 and deducted $160 for the smashed desk. I have purchased a new on and I can prove that, as well.I an still requiring $200 for the furniture left behind and $150 for the carpet cleaning.Attachments to followRegards,

It is unfortunate that William is not happy with the agreement he had made with Meathead prior to the day of his move. We understand that the documentation needed to complete a move can be overbearing to some and we empathize with this client. We always make sure that our charges are outlined...

in detail on both the contracts (which we provided almost a week prior to William’s move date) as well as over the phone when scheduling the service with our clients. We do provide a minimum price which is based off of the crew size, minimum hours and the zip code of the move. The minimum is not an estimate in anyway and is never referred to as much during or after the scheduling of a service. The estimated price we do provide is the Not to Exceed price. The Not to Exceed price is explicitly explained as the estimate for the completion of the moving service. We quite often do come in under the Not to Exceed price due to the efficiency and hustle of our crews. On William’s move, the crew was able to beat the Not to Exceed price by almost $1000.00. William is expecting to pay the minimum price without mentioning that we came in over $900.00 UNDER the Estimated Not to Exceed price and just $317.00 over the MINIMUM charge.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10678763, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, I would never recommend this moving service to anyone. No one from this corporation treated me with respect-instead just said "You are getting a free move, we don't care that we damaged your items". There is an extreme lack of professionalism with Meathead movers-they don't want you to comment about how your move was, they just want you to pay them and go away.

I am rejecting this response because: The company's response and description of the situation is not compatible with my record of events and statements between me and the company. They have however, after long delays refunded their improper charges to my account---and in that respect only, I am satisfied.

The $200.00 which we discounted was explicitly for a damaged desk and the soiled carpets. If Andrea was to have filed a damage claim for the desk, we would have been liable for approximately $45.00. The $150.00 that Andrea is claiming for carpet cleaning along with the additional $50.00 for the...

damaged desk exceeds what Andrea has asked for in her complaint for those items.   We offered to take additional items for Andrea with a price adjustment and she declined. The items that Andrea is claiming we left were not included in the originally agreed amount of work to be provided. We did move several additional items in the interest of customer service without a price adjustment. During our visual estimate, all of Andreas items were stacked in a garage which limited our ability to get a complete assessment of the items to be moved. We provided Andrea with an itemized inventory more than 10 days prior to move day for her review. At no point did Andrea contact us to let us know that we missed items or that she wanted us to move additional items. We are unsure why Andrea is expecting us to pay her for even more unmoved items (which we offered to move with a price adjustment) that were not presented to us until move day.   At this point we are unable to justify any discount exceeding the previously discounted $200.00.

I am rejecting this response because:The Consumer stated over the phone that the business last response does not seem to pertain to this complaint, but if they would like to get this resolved she is willing to accept a discount of the bill and then she will have Amex pay the rest.

I am rejecting this response because:  The vendor, Meathead Movers, failed to address the issues presented. 1.  The presentation of paperwork, minimum price, and double-drive time policies is not clear and is done so in a fashion which obscures the true quote.  The response does not address these practices or provide any assurance that my complaint is understood.2.  The response does not address the way I was treated by the staff when I called for resolution...vile, angry language and a raised voice.  I have received a voicemail from Meathead Movers Quality Assurance, but have been unsuccessful in the past two weeks of reconnecting with this department...voicemails have been left unreturned.

I am rejecting this response because:The items that were set aside to be picked up by the Salvation Army the day that H[redacted] came to do the estimate were picked up prior to the move date and was not there anymore. The items that Meathead Movers had on their list that was not included in the original list consisted of two sofas and matching living room chairs, a triple dresser,  two TVs,  patio furniture,  table lamps,  a small desk,  4 area rugs, 7 pieces of artwork,  an ironing board,  a ladder, two end tables and 2 large tables along with various other items. No way could these items have been missed. It was after the move when many things got left behind because of lack of time that I came back to get and loaded my SUV.  All the other items that I could not take with me I called the Salvation Army to pick up. These items we're not ment originally to go to the Salvation Army but rather than hire another moving company to move them I gave them away. I told H[redacted] every thing was to go. When I signed the contract online I did not notice that the long list was missing these important items not expecting that everything wasn't lifted.

We have tried exceedingly hard to resolve the issues that the client felt they had on move day, including offering free services, amongst other things. We realized that a satisfactory resolution would be impossible in this situation when the client came in to our lobby and threatened physical...

violence against multiple employees if we did not pay them the large amount of cash they were demanding as a resolution.
