The date of the recall was processed by DMV We would not have been able to transfer the vehicle into your name if there was an outstanding recall at the time, there would have been a stop on your registration(Please call DMV on this)Also, we are not the manufacturer, we were unaware of any recall on this vehicle, this from the Honda manufacturerWe sell used vehicles

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2015/09/18) */ at this time we are in process of suing [redacted] for monies owed to own a car of fresno on a different matter but nether the less monies owed due to money not owed to a financial institution for refund we have seeked legal council and we believe we have the right to hold [redacted] will get a letter of deficiency on the matter and we will allow her her day in courtshe should be receiving soon a letter and she may take appropriate action Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 11, 2015/09/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not agree with them at all, and the fact that they took so long to respond to this complaint shows how they do not care about their customers or reputation, But I have filed a small claim case and will be in court with own a carSo at this point that will be the only way to resolve the issue

[redacted] purchased a 2011 Kia Optima on 03/03/16. Prior to the vehicle being listed for sale, a complete reconditioning was done on the vehicle. Brand new brake pads and brake rotors were installed all around the vehicle, meaning new breaks and rotors on all 4 wheels were brand new. Recon also... included new tires for the vehicle. [redacted] brought the car to us roughly one week after the sale to have the breaks inspected. The vehicle was taken into our position to have the breaks inspected by a shop called "A Plus Automotive Repair". A Plus Automotive Repair inspected the breaks and reported that the rotors had been warped due to abusive driving. Regardless of the cause, Own A Car repaired the breaks free or charge and released the vehicle back to [redacted] . Roughly 2 weeks later after 6:00 PM [redacted] showed up furious at the car lot because the plastic valance had fell off her car, Own A Car offered to get the part reattached on the vehicle the next day because the mechanic shop had closed at 4:00 PM. [redacted] refused to wait till the next day, although we clearly explained to her that we did not have the correct tools, staff, and equipment at the dealership to reinstall the part. [redacted] left the dealership in an uncivilized matter, cursing and yelling out foul language at all the employees. It was later discovered that [redacted] is not the sole driver of the vehicle, she lends the car out to her family members. It is suspected that the vehicle is being driven hard and in an abusive manner those [redacted] loans the car to. Despite all the above, Own A Car is currently paying of the vehicle's repairs. A door actuator is on order and will be delivered and installed on 6/14/16. Own A Car has agreed to pay 75% of the repair costs. Own A Car does not sell lemon vehicles, the term "lemon" only applies to brand new vehicles not used.

*** *** purchased a *** Nissan Altima from Own A Car on
06/20/The miles on the vehicle are actual miles, the vehicle is not a TMU (true miles unknown)The title of the vehicle shows actual and true milesTD is the lean holder of the vehicle, Own A Car would not be able to get financing for the vehicle if it did not have correct miles showing on the odometer DMV would not allow us to register the vehicle to the customer if the miles were not true on the vehicle, however that was not the case and all transactions were legal and successful

I am rejecting this response because:My car was recalled on 06/29/the date I bought my car was 07/15/17. Please refer to yourself to the attachment. Yes you're correct to get the recall fixed it's free. WHATS NOT FREE IS MY LIFE. I could've died to the fact of my car catching on fire without having a single clue that my vehicle had a recall that should've been stated to me at the time of the purchase and should've been fixed. Plus it takes time out of my day to even take my car to the Honda DealershipThat should've been done before I even bought my car. That car had a recall two weeks prior to me even purchasing itMaybe you're not the DMV but you know the DMV rules, which I did take the advice and go speak to them which led me to me typing this complaint

We charged the customer $388.00 which are estimated fees.  Registration came to $300. We sent a check to the customer for the overcharged amount of $88.00The expiration date of the vehicle we have no control over.  These fees were paid to DMV not to the dealership.  We do not make the...

DMV rules, we stated to the customer to contact DMV if she had any questions. As for the recall, there was no recall at the time we registered the vehicle, or we would not have been able to register it in the customer's name.  There is no way of knowing there would be a recall coming up, as, once again, we are not DMV.Recalls are also free of charge, and a DMV requirement.

The vehicle was sold with 41,000 on 4/17/ 2016  miles and now has 70,000 miles (per customer). Fuel injectors and A/C service requires regular scheduled maintenance, similar to any other vehicle in the market. The customer has driven the vehicle 30,000 miles in the past year, which is more than...

double the average California standard.  The vehicle was also sold with The Original Factory warranty from GM being valid ( 5 year 100,000 miles transferable to new owner).

Please provide year, make ,model ,last 6 digits of vin number and location where you purchased your vehicle from the information  you provided is not enough to pull up account Thank you.

This statement is false. Who said we were to busy to bring the car in? It's the transmission you can't even drive it for one. For two tjey are trying to get out of fixing it. They know they sold us a lemon. Like ive stated before the general manager said they only had the car there 8 fays before we got it, all the guys do is sell the cars they font know. He also said it would be better if it was totaled so it can be paid off. Its really funny how nice [redacted] & [redacted] were getting us in the car but as soon as trouble came they switched up. They did not keep their word. Not to mention [redacted] told me a story about someone who only had a car for 2 months from them that broke down. They are selling hard working people lemons and its not right. They need to own up to their word and fix the car. Me and my husband dont have money to give people for free. We have a child to raise. I had explained to [redacted] the situation already before we got the car, because I was already paying a car note on a car that wasn't working, and I didnt want any problems. I asked if the engine was ik, he assured everything was goid. I let him know I didnt wanna be put in that predicament again. Guess what happens, same exact thing. Bottom line the car needs to be fixed at their expense.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 24, 2016/05/31) */
We did speak with [redacted], we both came to an agreement. The vehicle is in the shop, Own A Car agreed to pay 50% of the repairs, and [redacted] agreed to pay 50% as well.
