I paid via *** for round-trip transportation from Oxford Transportation ($85 each way in separate payments but totaling $170) for my daughter, from Miami University to CVG airport for Spring Break 2020. Oxford Transportation promises full refund for all rides cancelled with 24 hours notice.

Due to covid-19, we drove out to get our daughter and move her out of her dorm instead of flying her home for Spring break. I cancelled both rides via e-mail with Oxford Transportation on 3/13/20. The trips were scheduled for 3/18/20 and 3/25/20, so well before the 24 hour cancellation window. Their employee, Carol, responded to my e-mail, acknowledging my cancellation and promising a full refund for each ride.

I never received a refund to my *** account. I e-mailed Oxford Transportation on 4/20/20 and 7/1/20. When I received no response I contacted ***. On 7/7/20, they had me e-mail the company thru their site. Again, no response. *** encouraged me to escalate the claim due to lack of response. I did so on 7/23/20, and *** took the case to investigate my claim.

This morning, 7/29/20, Oxford Transportation agreed to refund the first trip ($85), the second trip payment is still under investigation with ***. What they did next is why I am contacting you. As soon as they agree to pay the $85 refund, *** closes the case. I did not know this, but apparently Oxford Transportation does. After they issued the $85 refund, closing my claim, they immediately cancelled the refund and the funds were not sent to my account. However, because they did initiate the refund, *** said the case is closed and I have to pursue Oxford Transportation myself for the refund now.

I did e-mail them Oxford Transportation again today, but of course they haven't answered. I am outraged at their devious business practices. They basically skirted around refunding me and cut off my use of *** as a resource to help with settlement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Oxford Transportation did finally, after 4-1/2 months of unanswered e-mails, refund me. I find it telling, the dismissive and insulting tone of their response, labeling a formerly loyal customer a "drama queen". I will never know if I hadn't filed this complaint with the Revdex.com if I would have received my refund, but I am happy that I finally did get reimbursed. This all could have been avoided if the the company had simply answered one of my many e-mails.
