Review: I dropped off my car on 1/**/16 for five day airport parking at Park Plus Airport Parking. There has been damage sustained to my vehicle during the time when Park Plus Airport Parking was in possession of it. I picked up my vehicle on 1/**/16 at approximately 11:40 pm. I noted a dent and scratch to my vehicle that night and contacted the facility the regarding the damage. They advised me to send an email to their claims department to file a claim. I contacted the claims department and reported the damage including pictures of the damage via email . I advised them that I was given this email address to file a claim.

I received a claim form from the claims department in this email they also said claims are not accepted after a vehicle leaves the facility. I advised them that due to the poor lighting in the Park Plus facility and the fact that the car while dropped off in clean condition was dirty when I picked it up, presumably due to the severe winter storm declared by the New York City Office of emergency management, prevented me from adequately visualizing the small dent and scratch located on the front right end of my car that occured at their facility.

I completed the claim form and they emailed me instructions to get 2 estimates and send more pictures of the damages. I got estimates for repair of the damage and sent that along with more pictures of the damage as requested by Park Plus Airport Parking claims department. I then received an email saying my claim was denied due to the claim form not being completed at their facility. I think it is unacceptable that Park Plus Airport Parking will not take responsibility for paying for the damage that was sustained to my vehicle while it was in their facility. They have poor lighting at their pick up locations that obscure any ability to see what damage has been done and do not acknowledge their fault in damaging my vehicle. I was very prompt in contacting them and in completing paperwork that they requested only to find that this was a waste of my valuable time as Park Plus Airport parking does not intend on doing the right thing to resolve this issue.

The summary of their investigation concludes that my claim is denied due to the form not being completed before I left their facility and listed no details of employees questioned or cameras reviewed that will validate my claim.Desired Settlement: I would like for Park Plus Airport Parking to pay for the repair to my vehicle that is needed from damage sustained to my vehicle while it was in their possession.

Customer did indeed leave the facility and called back later to report damages to their vehicle that may have occurred at any time after leaving facility. They also claim that damages were not discovered until after the car was washed. The damages indicated are more indicative of mechanical damage with a car wash machine that with vehicle to vehicle contact which might have occurred in the facility. A claim form was emailed to them to complete as a matter of record. Our intake ticket clearly indicates that claims cannot be accepted after vehicle leaves facility. Our on site signage indicates that claims cannot be accepted after vehicle leaves facility. Our claims forms clearly indicates that claims cannot be accepted after vehicle leaves facility. Customer also submitted 2 different estimates for damages which vary from $625 to nearly $1500, almost double. With such a wide range of damage estimates, both documents become suspect. Our original decision remains in that we cannot accept liability after the vehicle has left the parking lot.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This response from the business is erroneous and ridiculous. At no point during my correspondence with Park Plus Airport Parking which has all been written, have I ever indicated that the damage to my car was noted after washing the car. The damage to the car was noted when I arrived home that same evening in my well lit garage at approximately 1 AM. I called their facility that very morning to report the damage that I discovered. I also sent pictures that very morning of the damage. The car was not washed prior to noting the damage or taking the pictures. For them to fabricate such information is grossly unprofessional. I indicated that because of the fact that their facility was dark, in addition to the snow conditions I was not able to see the damage on the car. I do not think that leaving the facility precludes them from being responsible for damage caused to my car while it was in their possession especially since the facility is so dark you can’t even see your car well enough to access any damage.Regarding the issue of the estimates, I took the car to two local repair shops both of which are reputable and I received two estimates. The variation between the estimates is not something that I am in control of. I have no personal background in mechanics or car repair. If the business would like other estimates done of the damage I have no problem in doing that. I have only communicated with them via email and when I called to report the claim. Today prior to receiving this message I called to speak to Larry from the claims department at Park Plus Airport Parking because I was concerned about not having heard anything back from them via to Revdex.com but I never reached him and I left a message. He called back but I missed the call. I do not know where they are getting this kind of information from regarding damage to the car at a car wash etc. This is basically a business that does not want to own up to its responsibility to a customer whose vehicle was damaged in their facility. I am not satisfied with their response and would like this issue addressed further. ]

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the vehicle had left the facility with any report of damages we cannot accept a claim for damages and be held liable for damages discovered after that time.
