After coming home from a great afternoon with good friends, we looked at the sky and it wasn"t grey, it was BLACK!!! We tried to get home before the storm, but when we turned onto our block, it was obvious that storm had already come through! There were trees and limbs everywhere!!!! As my husband went outside to inspect for damage, I went in the house and OMG THERE WAS A TREE THAT HAD BROKEN, AND LIKE A MISSILE, WENT THROUGH OUR ROOF, THROUGH OUR CEILING AND INTO OUR BEDROOM!!!! IT WAS RAINING IN OUR BEDROOM!!! After I called our insurance and told them what happened, we received a claim number. We began to call tree removal services, and finally found someone who would stop a job they were in and they arrived the next day! As we watched in horror, they slowly removed the tree from the hole in the top of the roof and thank God that was gone! That same day the insurance adjuster came and recommended Paul Davis Restoration for this overwhelming job! The next day after that, a Paul Davis Truck pulled up and there we met the crew with Paul at the helm, they already had a plan! As you must know, I was a basket case, and EVERYONE who came were so calming and reassuring.....everytime I had a question, they had already had the answer! We had 100 year old furniture in that bedroom, and I was worried about that! So instead of picking it up and taking it somewhere else, they brought a POD in our yard and carefully wrapped it up and put it in the pod, which had a good lock on it! All of our belongings were handled with kid gloves! Everything that was damaged, which was a lot, they told us to go shopping and buy new and we would be reimbursed! Everyone, from drywallers, painters, electrical and carpenters were all so courteous, and I never once felt funny about all these people coming in the house! I never once felt uncomfortable with them here! I had just had spine surgery, and they made a point of going above and beyond to be quick, without sacrificing quality and to be as quiet as they could!! I would recommend Paul Davis Restoration!!! If anything ever happens to you, God forbid, just call Paul Davis!

I have nothing but praise for PAUL DAVIS RESTORATION TEAM. Everyone one I tdealt with was a

Carol, thank you for the comments about your service with Paul Davis. We are happy to hear our contents department was able to exceed your expectations! Thank you very much for the opportunity to be of service to your company.

One Month after moving in to my condo...there was a fire in the unit below. I was displaced for 4 months . A true nightmare. The restoration took a long time due to the insurance companies involved. My contents were handled very well and Paul did a great job and was very responsive and professional at all times. He was great to work with.

Mary, we appreciate the opportunity to have been of service. Thank you very much for your comments regarding your experience working with Paul Davis!

As an on-site manager for Becker Property Services, I have been challenged by a few different building "calamities" over the years. These are generally nothing more than minor inconveniences but when you get the occasional fire/flood/etc that affects several units/tenants and requires a total renovation the only way to keep your sanity and get through it is by having a competent restoration company doing the work.
Paul *** is so much more than that. I recently had a large portion of my building - several units, lobby, common areas - affected by a broken water pipe in a second floor unit. Of course this happened on a Saturday, as these things ALWAYS happen on the weekend. I called Paul ***. The phone was answered by a human! I explained my situation to a very nice young man by the name of James, the manager of the Paul *** emergency response team, swing shift. James was on his way to assess the damages immediately, while notifying his crew and keeping me informed of what was happening and when it would happen. Within a very short time I had an entire crew here with tons of large equipment. The speed in which these guys went about their business let me know they were experienced and knowledgeable about what they were doing.
I want to give sincere thanks to Sam, Brandon, Thomas, and David plus the Saturday on-call crew of David E., Iseah, and Eddy. So efficient and more importantly so polite and considerate of my elderly tenants. Care was taken with their possessions, their questions, their fears, and their feelings. For this I am extremely grateful.
And last but not least, my heartfelt gratitude to James, the crew manager. Along with being a delightful young man, he is efficient, knowledgeable, polite, caring, and a credit to his company.

There was a fire in the condo below our unit which caused major smoke damage in our unit. This happened December 18th and we were leaving 12/21 for vacation. Bryan H and the contents team were amazing to work with. Bryan had us pick out our vacation clothes that he had cleaned, ready and delivered to us on the 20th for us to pack and then clothes and jackets, etc. for when we got back that were delivered to us at our temporary apartment. Throughout the 5 month renovation, Bryan was accessible and responsive to needs or questions about our belongings and progress. We set up a couple of times to go 'shopping' in our cleaned belongings that were being stored in the PD Warehouse.
When we were able to get back into our home, Bryan scheduled the move in. The crew that moved us back in was amazing - clean, tidy and polite. Proper protection for the floors was put down and the moving crew worked with us to get all of the furniture and boxes into the correct areas. The cleaning and packing of our belongings was amazing. We did not have a single broken item - no glassware, art, anything. There was a scratch on a dresser and Bryan had us order another immediately and cut us a check for the new one.
I can't say enough about how easy Bryan and the PD team made this terrible situation for us. I would highly recommend Bryan and Paul Davis. Thank you!!

M*** was outstanding. Kept us informed, was calm and reassuring, and walked us through the process. He was extremely knowledgeable which gave us the confidence we chose the right company. He was a pleasure to work with. He kept us informed, was honest, careful and got the job done quickly.

I am so pleased with Paul Davis and the work they do, most especially Rick E and his exceptional customer service. I called Paul Davis to restore my home after a significant roof leak years ago. Each of the workers was polite, competent and respectful. Rick E was so helpful and reassuring. He continues to be, as I call him with questions I have about potential water damage in my home. I feel relieved and in good hands. Thank you for such great service. I highly recommend them.

Dennis and his crew took care of the demolition phase of our flooded basement restoration. They were efficient, thorough, and courteous. I would recommend them highly.

Sadly a small kitchen fire put us out of our home for 8 months. We had to empty out the entire first floor of our house, and everything in the house had to be cleaned and packed away. The process was overwhelming, but made so much easier by Bryan H and his content management crew at Paul Davis. For days his staff would show up, clean and pack away all my belongings, leaving some things onsite and taking some things back to their storage facility. All the boxes were packed professionally and marked well, so unpacking was easy. I must have hundreds of pieces of pottery and glass, and not a thing was broken. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and went above and beyond on many occasions. When it came time for me to move back in, Paul Davis did all the grunt work setting up the furniture and putting boxes where I wanted them. And as I took weeks to unpack over 300 boxes, they made periodic visits to my house to take away the used cardboard and paper in which everything had been professionally wrapped. Bryan was in constant communication with me to make sure all my needs were met, and to solve any problems. I wouldn't wish the trauma of a house fire on anyone, but I would gladly recommend Paul Davis to assist you in the sad event you need help.

Paul Davis is amazing to work with!! We had a grease fire in a duplex we own and had tenants living in the unit. Paul Davis was very flexible in arranging their schedule around our tenants. I would work with them again in a heart beat!!

We had a team of service people at our home after ice damage. Not only was John R, the supervisor amazing and quick to respond, but the team of Matt M, Granville H , and Jon R were professional, informative and very very polite. I would use all them again in a heart beat.

I couldn't believe how quickly the ball got rolling...
From my first call to seamlessly working with the insurance adjuster and getting a clear picture of the entire game plan, I couldn't have felt more secure than with Paul Davis. Their first point of contact, Moshe, was just so easy to work and communicate with. Every base was covered.
I would recommend Paul Davis over anyone else!
ps...this was the first time I used them!! #bonus

My insurance company recommended Paul Davis after we incurred some interior damage as a result of a water leak. A representative from Paul Davis came to assess the damage on the same day that we filed a claim and their team was on site the following day to begin the process of drying out the area and repairing the damage. Overt the course of that process, they communicated frequently, showed up when they said they would and returned phone calls within minutes. I am pleased to report that our ceiling, wall and floor are fully repaired with no sign of any damage. I highly recommend contacting Paul Davis if you find yourself in this type of situation.

I’m he handling of my contents after a fire was excellent. Brian H kept in close contact with me and I appreciated the communication and sensitive handling of my items. I would recommend them

We had water damage in our kitchen, which necessitated emptying out all of our cabinets so that they could be removed. Brian and his team from Paul Davis came in and boxed up all the contents in little more than half a day. They have a very professional system, and did a great job.
Ed and Judy M

Bryan H and the entire emergency response team regarding the contents that we lost and also had reconditioned and refurbished were unmatchable!! Bryan was very knowledgeable, sympathetic, and compassionate. We hope that we never have to endure this tragedy again, however, if it does, we know the first phone call we will make.

We hired Paul Davis to complete an extensive renovation project following a fire in July 2017. The bulk of the work was paid for by our insurance company, however, we signed a change order for an additional $50,023.67 of work towards which we have paid $30,000, leaving $20,023.67 unpaid. Paul Davis has agreed in writing to $5776.15 in credits for items we paid for out of pocket and work left uncompleted. This would reduce the amount owed to $14,247.52. We are claiming an additional $4283.39 credit for repairs to our basement ceiling that were not completed, which would bring the amount owed to $9,964.13. Paul Davis sent a notice of intent to file a lien on 2/12/19 for the amount of $32,504.45. On 2/28/19, I emailed Paul Davis with documentation regarding the work still not done as well as my calculations of the amount currently owed. I let them know that I was prepared to accept the project as complete and pay $9,964.13 as payment in full in exchange for a lien waiver. Paul Davis has not responded.

Re: ***
Customer Complaint #***

Dear Ms.,

This letter is in response to the above referenced customer complaint filed on March 7, 2019.

According to Mrs.’s complaint, she submitted an email to Paul Davis February 28, 2019 regarding the amount still owed for the change order of her project. The billing representative for Mrs.’s project, Mrs., was out of the office the first week of March. Upon her return, Mrs. met with the estimator for Mrs.’s project. After reviewing the account, Paul Davis agrees with Mrs. on the $9,964.13 still owed for her change order. Unfortunately, payment of this change order does not fully bring Mrs.’s account current. Paul Davis received a letter on January 10, 2019 from Mrs.’s insurance company that informed the billing department that $27,089.98 of the agreed upon repair cost has been categorized as “non-recoverable” depreciation. The customer’s total repair estimate amount was agreed to by Mrs.’s insurance company. Therefore the $27,089.98 is an expense the company made for repairs to Mrs.’s home and this amount is still owed to Paul Davis for work completed.

On March 13, 2019 Mrs. spoke to Mrs. and discussed with her the account status described above. After this conversation, Mrs. is understanding of the situation and account status and is providing her assistance in having these funds released to the company by sending a copy of her insurance policy for Paul Davis to review. Mrs. also agreed to postpone filing a lien on the property while investigating this billing issue with Mrs.’s insurance company. Once Mrs.’s specific insurance plan information is known, the billing department will be able to determine the status of the remaining amount on Mrs.’s account. Therefore, while the remaining payment of $9,964.13 on the change order cannot close Mrs.’s account at this exact time, we look forward to working with Mrs. and her insurance company to determine the status of the “non-recoverable” depreciation and bring this billing issue to a satisfactory resolution.

If you require any additional information, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely

Dear Ms.,

This letter is in response to the customer comment submitted on March 14, 2019.

Mrs.’s account has a balance of $37,054.11. $9,964.13 is owed by Mrs. for the change order of her project. The remaining $27,089.98 is designated as non-recoverable depreciation by Mrs.’s insurance company. As stated in our previous response, the customer’s total repair estimate amount was agreed to by Mrs.’s insurance company, and it was not until later that Paul Davis was informed the $27,089.98 was designated as non-recoverable. Therefore, it was necessary for Paul Davis to determine the payment details of the depreciation funds.

On March 15, 2019 the estimator for Mrs. project was able to speak with the insurance adjuster. It was determined that Mrs.’s insurance company will be sending payment for the depreciation amount. This same day, Mrs. shared this new information with Mrs. about her account status. Mrs. informed Mrs. that once the payments of the change order and the depreciation are received, that Paul Davis will release a full waiver to Mrs..

We thank Mrs. for her patience and understanding in this matter. Once both payments are received, Paul Davis will be able to close Mrs.’s account and provide her a lien waiver.

If you require any additional information, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Meghan Keller

Revdex.com:

I have now received a lien waiver from Paul Davis in order to address case # ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like to note, however, that Paul Davis's assertion that they were unaware until January of 2019 that a portion of our project ($27,089.98) had been deemed un-recoverable depreciation appears to be inaccurate. After receiving their response indicating that they had been unaware of this amount of unrecoverable depreciation, I went through my documentation and discovered an email from my insurance adjuster, dated 10/10/2017 (please see attachment). In the email, the insurance adjuster stated, “This is the last agreed upon estimate that was sent to PD when I issued payment to you.”

I do not know if Paul Davis’s assertion that they did not know about this un-recoverable depreciation is a result of poor project management or lack of candor, however, I suggest that they review their project management practices in order to avoid such inaccuracies in the future.

I had a Townhouse burn partially down 9/17/2014. Paul Davis was elected to do the restorations. While they were in the Process, they agreed to Pay me for Work my Company did such as replace the Windows, and for work they did not complete due to mutual agreement between them and me. These Items they said I would be reimbursed for. I can send you a itemized list of these items to the best of my current knowledge.

On 08/08/2018 I received a Check from *** which *** said Payed the Balance of what was owed to Paul Davis and the case was closed whit the Insurance Co.
The check was for $32,397.75 and was addressed to *** and *** to sign. I have contacted them Numerous times via E-Mail, Telephone calls with no response from them. After my first call *** said to send him a Itemized List which I did the next day. Again no reply after serval calls. It has been 4 1/2 years since this all happened. and it has been 5 months since I received the Check. They owe me
$28.050.00 for my Work and for the items they did not accomplish or did not do them as they should have.

***Re: *** Customer Complaint #***Dear Ms.,

This letter is in reply to the customer response received on Friday, January 25, 2019.

As discussed during the original response to Mr.’s complaint, Paul Davis does not disagree with the request that a credit is owed. However, this credit is against the agreed damages with the insurance company, and not against the final supplement payment issued by the insurance company as proposed by Mr.. With the information from *** Insurance about Mr.’s type of property coverage, Mr. had hoped to meet in person with Mr. to discuss this information and how it relates to his credits on this project. On January 31, 2019 Mr. spoke with Mr. who agreed to set up a meeting. This meeting will include Mr., Mr., and the insurance agent for Mr.. Together, they will discuss the type of property insurance coverage on said property, the settlement of his claim for fire damages with *** Insurance and the basis for that settlement, and change order credits of this project. This meeting will finalize the dollar amounts needed to complete the insurance claim, close Mr.’s account with Paul Davis, and satisfy the credits owed to Mr..

The date of this meeting still needs to be arranged between the 3 parties, but an update can be provided to the Revdex.com once arranged.

Paul Davis wishes to thank Mr. for his agreement to this upcoming discussion and we look forward to bringing Mr.’s project to a successful conclusion.

Sincerely,

***

Customer Service Support

I had a flood in my basement and called more than 3 companys that take care of these type of situations.
I had PaulDavis respond to me within 2 hours of my phone call.
Others told me that if I could not find anyone to help me to call them back in a couple of days???
There response team was more than helpful and showed that they did care that I needed help and they were going to be there to help me.
I want to point out that in particular Paul H and his team were more than I expected since I was blown off by other businesses that could have had my bussiness but showed they could care less.
I dont mention another bussiness because I'm commenting on PaulDavis.
I'm grateful to Paul H and Team leader Brian V ( and all his crew he leads ) for there attitude and caring in my time of need.
Paul H has gone over and above to help my family and we are very grateful.
