Regarding the complaint file with your department we regret customer dissatisfaction regarding the transaction at our outfit. Our appliance shop always tries to help our customers as much as possible regarding purchase of used (2"' hand) appliances. All appliances are sold "as is" without any warranty or guarantee in any way, sign at the shop verify all sales are final and there is no return or refund of any purchase. Almost all appliances get tested prior to sale and could be tested at our store when customer thinking of buying, customer has the option to do test appliance before purchase all the time. In some cases we have seen customers open inside appliances and remove part they need form our appliance or mishandle heavy appliances and drop it after purchase then return it as faulty items, store have no way to find out what customer has done to the item. Since we are small shop and small shop cannot afford losses, we allow and encourage customers to test almost all appliances at the store prior to purchase since there is no refund or return, if customer decided not to test item it would be up to them. As small shop we always try to help out customer the best we can and we regret any customer's dissatisfaction. Our goals are to help our customer, to get best product for least amount of money spent and best customer service as possible.Sincerely, Payless appliances llc

I am a 73 year old person who purchased a used washer from this company on 3/7/2014. I was told I would be the first delivery in the morning, between 10-11, on Saturday, 3/8. I was told I would receive a phone call letting me know when the driver was on the way. At 11:16 a.m. on 3/8 I called the store because no driver, no washer. Was told he had to deliver a fridge elsewhere and she would call back to tell me when he would arrive. No call again, but the driver finally showed at 12:23 p.m. He took out old washer and installed the washer I purchased from this company. He left and said I could start using it right away. I started a load of clothes only to find out I had a major flood because the washer was not hooked up correctly. I placed the first call at 12:56 p.m., less than an hour after he left my house. Called again at 2:19, 4:24, 5:49. Each time a different story. One time she said the owner was on the phone with her and was sending a person from their other store. Never happened. Called again on Sunday at 12:55 and was told the driver would return on Monday between 10-11. No one showed so called again at 11:16. This time I was told the manager was not there at the moment. She needed to check with her and would call back. No call backs. I now know I am being lied to and that they do not intend to fix the problem. The tub is also not installed correctly as it bangs from side to side and does not spin fast enough to spin the water out. They only accept cash payments for their items and offer no refunds for faulty equipment they are selling. I certainly do not have the money to hire someone to fix this machine. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT TRUST THE EMPLOYEES BECAUSE THEY WILL TELL YOU WHATEVER LIE THEY CAN COME UP WITH JUST TO GET YOU OFF THE PHONE.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I made several efforts to resolve this issue, and to make a luticrist statement that I may have done something to to washer to make it not work is just plain stupid and denial.  Upon receiving the washer it did not come with hoses and we purchased them shorty after receiving it and started a load of laundry.  It would not work to pump water or spin water out of the washer.  I notified the company and was told the manager was off and several other excuses.  I did not buy a used washer so I could spend $300 more to fix it.  I could have bought a new one for that money.  And to say we could test the washer prior to purchasing is not possible.  For one, they do not have the availability to hook up the washer and run a cycle, and second, they brought it from their "other" store to the house.  I have spoken with several other individuals who have purchased appliances from this place since I have and they have had similar experiences.  There are several other complaints with similar situations listed on [redacted] site.  I have documented all my efforts and phone calls to the company without any resultion.  I will pursue this as a small claims in the [redacted].  This is a company who clearly sells appliances that do not work with the false claim it is in working order.  This is not an honest company and should be shut down.  They will get plenty of negative feedback about their company from me and others.  We have posted the compliants on a local facebook forum and the numbers are growing with others who have had problems.  This is right out false advertising and should be illegal.  Several other individuals are looking at hiring an attorney or finding one to take on the case to get results.  How can people steal from others like this?  This company clearly does not care about their reputation and will contiue to rip others off for as along as they can.  What a joke!

I saw an ad for a range-which said it was in excellent condition and it even had a picture-I called the number-went to the store to see it. They said it was at there other store. So I paid for it. They missed the delivery time-I called. When they brought it out it had a huge crack on the cooktop. In the picture the flash was covering it. Called and they refused to do anything. They make you sign their "AS IS" receipt when you pay for anything. Very fraudulent in my opinion. Buyer Beware

Extremely UNETHICAL!!!!
Stay miles miles away from these people.
what happened to me: they only deal with cash, gave no warranty, dropped off defective appliances, didn't bring tools or parts to install them, they left and never answered me again. They ripped me off $1,000 for 3 defective appliances. costed me another $200 to remove.
Horrible reviews every where, complaints aginst them with [redacted] office, F rating on Revdex.com, etc...
This is actually a SHAME for the State of Arizona and [redacted] that sit back and allow such businesses to continue ripping people off.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

When the appliance was delivered, IT WAS NOT WORKING.  The delivery guys instructed us to call you and they would send someone to repair it.  I called your office over 25 times and asked for a return phone call from the manager.  I was also PROMISED that someone would be going out on several occasions to repair the appliance.  In order to be there for the repair, I took off work to meet someone.  Each time no one showed, costing me time off work, even though I was promised someone would show.  The appliance was faulty UPON delivery.  I demand a full refund.  When it first occurred, all I asked was for it to be repaired to working condition, since it was delivered in a non-working condition, or to exchange it for something comparable.  However, it has been over 3 months now and I have had to purchase another washer.  Therefore, the only remedy is a full refund.

Regards,

Advertised FREE Delivery on all used appliances .

Then after agreeing to purchase , said house was beyond their FREE delivery .

Also would not take credit card over the phone . Had to have relative go in to purchase .

The Refrigerator failed , they tried to say it was past the 48 Hours , when it was not .

Then charged us again to deliver another Refrigerator !!!

No refund policy forced us to trust them again to get us a working Appliance .

That one also failed , needing almost $200 in repair

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews, but after talking to the staff, I decided to buy a washing machine for one of my rentals. Even though the unit had only a 24 hour warrantee, the price was right and it included instulation and removal of the old unit. They were a couple of days longer than they said they would be on delivery, but overall, I am quite satisfied. I'd do it again.....in fact, I will very soon for a different property.

Company delivered BROKEN washer/dryer unit. I paid an initial delivery/installation fee plus a 30 day warranty fee. When I came in to exchange it I was told I had to pay another 35! Owner refuses to waive the additional 35 even though the unit was broken when it was delivered to me and flooded my home. They didn't even have a replacement for me for several days after I reported the broken unit. Terrible company that sells broken equipment and then steals more of your money to replace it!!!

I purchased a stove from Payless Appliance and asked them not to deliver it until Friday of that week due to a large project I was working on. The sales clerk assured me that if I took delivery that day, they would extend the 48-hour warranty to the end of the weekend (2 more days) so I would have an opportunity to test the stove. She also told me the stove was 4 years old but I found out later it was 8 years old. On Saturday morning I tested the stove and oven and the oven quit working right away. I called the store and [redacted], the co-owner would not listen to what I had to say, called me a liar, said it was past the 48-hour time period and wouldn't even listen to her own employee when she told [redacted] that she had indeed made that promise to me. It was less than 12 hours outside the 48 hours from which I had taken delivery and she just kept harping about the contract. But on her own contract there is a place where I am suppose to initial that the appliance was tested in front of me before taking delivery and that was not done. [redacted] is super difficult to talk to, talks over the top of you, and then hangs up on you. Do not buy from this seller unless you are prepared to get stuck with a non-working appliance.

Do not buy from them. They advertise appliances that they say are in working order, take your money (in my case $500) then they don't agree to do anything for you if the machines don't work.
Very unethical and untruthful way to do business.
