I have used Payne & Sons 3 times for various roof leaks on my tile roof. I finally decided to get my whole roof upgraded with new material. I spoke to Jason Payne and he was OUTSTANDING along with Conor Smith (Production Manager). We discussed the best option of the 3 offered and proceeded with the job. I was amazed at their thoroughness in replacing all old roofing material (flashing, roof vents, etc) and bring all material up to building codes. Their employees (the folks who redid the roof) worked tirelessly to complete the job which took 4 days given the size and complexity of the roof (lots of pitches and valleys). I now sleep comfortably at night when the rain comes since I have NO worries about my roof leaking. As far as I am concerned, Payne & Sons are OUTSTANDING. Their prices are extremely reasonable given everyone lives on a fix budget (i.e. I am retired and their prices allowed me to upgrade my roof with a 15 year warranty). If you have roof leaks or thinking about replacing your old roof, the ONLY folks I would go to is Payne & Sons. Trust me, this will be one of the smartest decision you make

2 years ago I had a leak in my flat roof townhouse. They came out, had a look, gave me an estimate. I agreed to the price and the roof coating was applied for a price of $4000. There was a 5 year warranty that came with the work. Next time it rained, the roof leaked in the same place as before so I called them up to repair it on warranty. They showed up and gave me a quote of close to $600 to clean the roof and make the repair (nice warranty)which I of course refused. I have kept the roof clean of debris (their recommendation) since and still the roof leaks. I just had an estimate done for the complete replacement of the roof and it is only $6000 but it will be done correctly and guaranteed to be leak free for 5 years. The owner of [redacted] (the roof contracting company I hired) suggested I punch them in the face the next time I see them as what they did was a complete waste of time and my money. A total ripoff. They should not be allowed to work on any flat roof with that kind of workmanship, embarrassing for them and my bank account unfortunately. Will never recommend for anything except their sales pitch...

Estimator showed up on time. After we contracted with them to have the work done, they came at time they quoted, their personnel were very congenial and they did a terrific job of cleaning up after the roofing project was completed. They also have a 10-year guarantee. We were very pleased.

Three and half years ago we moved into our house in NW Peoria Arizona. Prior to moving in we were told by our home inspector that there was an issue with a lower level patio roof. The flashing was incorrectly installed or wasn't present and it was allowing water damage to take place inside the external patio roof. We contacted AAA roofing (now Payne & Sons roofing) They came out, inspected, determined that the roof needed to be flashed and went to work. I am not a roofer but I did observe them remove almost all the tiles, do some metal work and a lot of silicone work, put the tiles back on and I was told that my roof was good. We have looked for the warranty but are unable to find it but the number that sticks in my mind is 5-10 year warranty. (cant be absolutely sure which it was) Now, only 3 1/2 years later I am out BBQing during the first really big rain from the end of last year 2013 and the beginning of this one 2014. I look up on the ceiling and I have HUGE bubbles under the paint filled with water...exactly what we had 3 1/2 years ago when we moved in that AAA roofing was supposed to have fixed. I contact them immediately, explain the situation and before I can even get the whole explanation out of my mouth I am told they (AAA roofing) was bought out by Payne & Sons roofing. The lady then asks me when the roof repair weas done. I tell her 3 1/2 years and she immediately sys, "Oh we are only honoring work that was done in the past two years. I'm sorry." SO, against my better judgement I setup an appointment for an esitmate. A gentleman comes to the house a few days later, climbs up and says, "Yep thats our work I recognize it." Tells me it was not done as well as it should have been, suggests gutters (no one suggested gutters 3 1/2 years ago) and then said the whole roof is not pitched correctly and that is the primary problem. (funny NO ONE said that 3 1/2 years ago.) He takes a bunch of pics and tells me he will email me an estimate. More than a week later I finally get the estimate (minus pictures which were promised). The roof replacement is 4250.00!!!!! To fix the roof (AGAIN for the same thing that was supposed to have been fixed 3 1/2 years ago) is 1350.00 plus tax!!!!!! That's almost 3 times what it cost 3 1/2 years ago...to fix the SAME thing!!!!! Seriously???? We recently had Scott roofing come out to our house to bid the job. The guy laughed at the repair that was initially done, told me we DIDNT need a new roof, that the repiars would be WAY less then 1350.00 and that THEY would gurantee the work for 15 years!!! We will NOT be using AAA roofing or Payne & Sons or whatever name they might swiitch to or hise under in the future nor will we recommend them to anyone we can get the word out to.

Payne and Sons is a very professsional and honest company to deal with. We have used them several times at different locations and have never been dissapointed. They stand behind their workmanship, are on time and finish on time.

My husband and I are very pleased with our experience with Payne and Sons. We requested an estimate for a small job, and was very impressed to have a prompt response. The work was done efficiently and everyone was very professional and courteous. Connor was a pleasure to talk to, and very knowledgeable. The entire experience made us feel good about our decision to hire them, and the job Payne and Sons performed. Kudos to the entire team!

Payne & Sons did a great job on the replacement of our patio roof covering. The roofers did a great job of cleaning up after the roof was complete. Just one suggestion. The roofers did not explain to us about the type of materials being used. (color, quality, type, etc.). A picture of the completed roof would have been appreciated.

Amazing! I wish I had a second roof so I could hire them again. The office staff was so patient with all my questions and the job supervisors were wonderful and so helpful. They really made the whole process less stressful. I got many progress reports and they really work side by side with me. The workers themselves were curteous and worked dilligently.

Payne & Sons Construction Corp. tiled our roof on our house in Mesa, AZ. We were so satisfied with the work that was done! We also wanted roof vents and overhang areas all covered. They were great about handling the whole job and finding people to do the things that we wanted done. They also came back 2 years later and inspected the tile and the flat roof areas. The flat areas needed some resurfacing and they did it as part of their roofing warranty for free. We are very satisfied with them and the quality of work that they do.

Payne and Sons actually came recommended from a manager of a local Building Supply store. After some recent storm damage to our roof, I asked the store mgr to recommend a contractor that could help with my repairs and they recommended Payne and Sons Construction. Although they were very busy due, they worked me into their schedule, provided a timely and thorough quote, and took care of repairs quickly and as promised. There was no rescheduling or deprioritizing repairs to our home for other jobs, etc. They did what they promised, when they promised it to be done, and did quality work. Would definitely recommend them to others considering them for jobs, whether those jobs are large or small.

He gave me a quick summary of the repair needs, and said he would send me pictures and a written estimate via é-mail. After not hearing anything for 3 days, I called the office and asked what was going on. The secretary said she would tell him I called. It is now almost a week, and I have had no contact from Payne. It appears my job of $1000 is too small for them to bother with. They didn't even have the courtesy to tell me anything.

I was very pleased with the work performed by Payne and Sons. I had a flat part of the roof that had water damage due to poor drainage. [redacted] was helpful with options for roofing materials and very informative with the follow up questions we had about the scope of the job.
Since they are full service, they also sent a contractor to replace and paint the ceiling drywall. [redacted] was very professional and did an outstanding job. I appreciate the quick calls, professionalism and pride in workmanship of these guys. Highly recommend!

Excellent company to do business with. The salesman was thorough and knowledgeable. Started job on time. Finished on or ahead of time. Cleaned up after themselves everyday. Would highly recommend them.

I requested a roof inspection from three different well known companies. Daren their Sales Representative did the roof inspection for Payne & Sons. He made an extremely good inspection of my roof, took pictures, and was very detailed. In the weeks following the inspection I drove him crazy with questions, via email and phone. He handled all my questions graciously and answered all my questions in the detail manner that I like. He even showed up the first day of to make sure everything we talked about went smoothly. Koodoo's for Daren. Their Project Manager Conor was there every day and on some days twice. Once again I am sure I drove him nuts, but he handled it well. Conor is the one that make sure everyone is doing their job and to make sure the job is completed as agreed. Koodoo's for Conor. The four men who actually did the work, big Koodoo's to them. By far the hardest working men that I have ever see. Never stopped, and in my opinion did a great job. Doing a complete roofing job creates a mess. I am a very fussy person and I just knew there would be no way they were going to get this mess cleaned up to my liking. Well I was wrong! They did a great job of clean up. As you can tell I was very pleased with Payne & Sons. I would recommend them to anyone.

Estimate was done with complete accuracy and friendly service. Workers came out right on time and did a GREAT job! Used the company through my daughter's recommendation (used them herself) and I would recommend them myself to anyone needing repair work done on their roof.

Everyone was very professional, the initial assessment was quite thorough, and the service was excellent.

I spent months trying to set up and receive estimates from roofers to repair two leaks in my tile roof. The companies I contacted ignored me completely, or more baffling, came and spent time on my roof, and then ignored me completely.

Payne and Sons was prompt, courteous, and as good as their word. They arrived at the specified time, printed a copy of their bid immediately, explained the options they could offer me to take care of my problem, and behaved in a friendly and professional manner. The work was completed in similar professional and reliable manner. They came on time and finished when they said they would. I only wish this weren't unusual.

Review: The wrong shingles were put on the roof but we negotiated a decrease in price. One of the reasons I made that decision was because [redacted] and supervisor [redacted] stated these shingles were better and had a 30 year warrantee. I have attempted to get a copy of the warranty 3 times and have not been successful. I have copies of all the emails but am not sure how to download/attach from my email documents. I can mail them if you need them. First email sent Aug 22, second request 9/4/13 [redacted] stated she was working on the warranty certificate and third 9/17/13 no response.Desired Settlement: I would like a copy of the warranty
