While in escrow to purchase my home, it was required of me to obtain home owner's insuranceI reached out to PEMCO since they held the current policy and had for yearsI advised them that I would be doing quite a bit of work on the home to bring it up to standardsThey did not have any issues or concerns with it I was presented with a contract and rates to which I agreedI signed and submitted the information to my lender and escrowApproximately weeks after closing, they advised me that they would be unable to insure my home due to some repair work that needed to be done, and sent me a letter listing out the issuesAll of which had been previously disclosedThey put me in touch with another department who would be able to assist me with getting insurance, but all I got was bullied and harassed about the poor conditions of my home Since the items that PEMCO had presented to me were already on my list of things to repair, I advised them that I would take care them by

[redacted] , We’re sorry there’s still confusion regarding the premium change due to your move and amounts remaining due for your automobile insurance coverage With your move May 16, to zip code 98258, your premium calculation changed This new ZIP Code generated an additional premium of $for the time period of May 16, 2017, through Nov14, (Months) Your move did not impact your premium between Nov15, 2016, through May 15, The $is the premium charged for the time period of May 16, 2017, through Nov14, It might be helpful to see a breakdown of the premiums charged and payments made Please note the $service fee is not considered part of the premium payment The premium and premium adjustment column lists the debits and credits that adjusted the premium The total adjusted annual premium of $1,at the bottom of the chart is the total amount you will pay in premium for coverage Nov15, 2016, through Nov14, including adjustments (Auto Plus Homeowners discount and Address Change) Policy Term 11/15/– 11/14/ Premium and Premium adjustments Payments Payment Made Running total of Insurance Premiums Beginning Term Premium $ $1,Payment Date Insurance Premium Payment Service Fee 11/8/ $$$-$ $ 1,12/07/ $$$-$ $ 1/4/ $$$-$ $2/10/ $$$-$ $3/2/ $$$-$ $ 4/14/ $$$-$ $ 4/17/Auto Plus Homeowners Discount applied -(4/17/to 11/14/ -$ $ 5/16/Address change and Vehicle use change applied $(5/16/to 11/14/2017) $5/16/ $$$-$ $6/6/ $$$-$ Total Amount Due $$$ Total adjusted annual Premium after Changes are applied $ We hope this addresses your concerns If you have any other questions, please call 1-800-GO-PEMCO and ask to speak to a customer service supervisor

Ok, I'd say watch out for these folksThey come across as the nicest locals that would be considered a traditional insurance company and hint toward regionalism, etc., but have not real differentiation from a larger impersonal insurance firmThink AIG pre melt Great sales person, horrible customer service / adjustorUnhelpful yet also condescending and rude

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:While I understand your business policy with the detailed explanation you have given, for me the numbers don't add up to the same on my end with my paperworkFirst off, you said the remaining balance I owed from May 16th to November 14th was $ But my numbers show I only owed $for the remaining monthsHere are my calculations (based off my contract of paying 20% down the first month and the rest over the course of months): My beginning premium was 1,for November 14, to November 14, I paid $in November for the first paymentI then paid $per month from December to April I called in late April verifying that I had bought a house (but had not moved in yet until the end of May) and was given the benefit of a homeowner discount which lowered my annual premium to $1,My May payment was lowered to $So, 256.71+(x months)+= 1, 1,168.05-1,020.47= for the remaining balance of the previous premiumSo this is where part of my confusion comes in - are you using my original premium at the start of the contract to calculate what I still owe you? Because I am not seeing where you are getting the remaining balance of $As for the additional $to make up for the difference of the new premium of 1,506.48, this still leaves me with one of my previous complaints/confusions - why am I ending up having to pay for a FULL YEAR of a premium that only applies for the last months of my payments? You are charging me a full new premium as if I have lived at this new address since November of 2016, that's what I don't understandWhy is this not pro-rated?Please help me understand thisThank you Sincerely, [redacted] ***

PEMCO sent notice to an address in California that I have not lived at for well over years, attempting to notify that they were going to non-renew my policy because I no longer lived in Oregon or Washington I in fact live in Oregon at this time, the two years prior to this time, and currently The letter was not received, as it was for a very old address They then are stating the policy that expired on November 27, is not able to be renewed since it is past days, on January 9, This is nowhere near accurate, as that is not even days ago, but they are unable to provide any response of any kind why November 27th to January 9, is "over days"

I had property insurances with PEMCO before, and these property insurances were paid by mortgage companies for the renewal insuranceBut I switched the insurance providers and notified PEMCO before the new insurance datePEMCO is supposed to refund me the insurance premium
I contacted PEMCO on June about this issuePEMCO told me one check was already cashed by someone else, and the 2nd check mailed out that week
I am still able to receive other mails and checks from other sources, and I still have not received the 2nd check yet by todayI highly suspected this was PEMCO side issue to cause check stolen by PEMCO insiders
I am disappointed by no response further from PEMCO side, and no proper action either

The auto insurance quote I got from Pemco when I first moved to the west coast was similar to the quotes I received from other insurance companiesI went with Pemco even though they were slightly, not significantly, higher than a few other quotes that I received because they were local, and that is important to meTwo years later, my rates have increased drastically in a short period of timeI have not had an accident, ticket, or late payment with Pemco, so I was obviously upsetI called Pemco and was told there was nothing they could doI started calling other insurance companies for new quotesEVERY SINGLE QUOTE I RECEIVED WAS ABOUT HALF OF WHAT PEMCO RAISED MY RATES TOI switched yesterday to a new insurance company where I am literally paying less than half of what Pemco raised my rates toRaising customers' rates so significantly without cause is horrible business practice, and I don't foresee ever giving Pemco my business again

I was driving on Iduring morning rush hour I was behind a large semi - truck when suddenly a large piece of shrapnel was tossed up from under his back tires and hit the front of my car! Pemco claims I was "50% negligent and it was my responsibility to know the condition of the road." There is no way I could of prevented this event!

Pemco used to operate ethicaly but times have changed After recieving a $increase in our yearly premium we found they increased our rates for a "NOT at fault accident" A fender bender last year that the other party accepted responsibility for..and it cost Pemco nothingPemco wouldn't have even known about the incident had I not given them a courtesy call to let them know in case thet were contacted by the party at fault A poor busniess practice charging good customers, with perfect driving records, for other peoples issues It's going to cost them all my accounts and I'll warn as many people as I can through the miracle of social mediaBuyer beware

Rating of this insurance company is by far from A!!!! I got rear ended by one of their drivers who called them on the spot, filed a claim saying that it is 100% her faultAdjuster by the name Kyle Lodge told me that unless he can get recorded statement from the driver, he cannot approve my claim and their driver that rear ended me is not returning callsFirst of all, it has nothing to do with meIt is obvious that its her faultShe admitted it when filing a claimKyle also told me that it has to be days and if they don't get in touch with the driver within days, they will approve the claimWell on the day #Kyle goes on vacation and gives no f* about our claimNow we have to wait for him to come back and that will put me driving broken car to days

I was told that my insurance rates went up $per month due to the amount of accidents that happenedSo that rate is being passed down to me, the consumer, who follows the lawsI live in a rural area and its not my fault they are loosing money on claimsRaise the other persons rates, not mineThen I said well my renters insurance went up as wellThis is bogus that I have to pay for the increase of someone elseThis is not fair and I got told this is just the nature of InsuranceWell the general consumer doesn't know thisIt isn't written down that I am paying into a fund that is a poolI would have chosen a different routeI have never had my insurance raised in years like thisIs the company failing? Is the CEO being paid too much? BonusesThis is fraud and should be disclosed on a document that due to an increase it may be because the amount of accidents others haveI am not taking the downfall for somebody else...BEWARE OF PEMCO

I was with PEMCO for 26yrs and they decided to jack my auto insurance rates over 40% for no apparent reason other than they told me repair costs and medical costs have risen over the yearsI highly recommend using another company for auto insurance Unacceptable and should be illegal to jack rates that much

I just bought my house and now after a month before we closed I was approved for homeowners insuranceNow that all the paperwork is complete they won't cover me because of the type of roof I haveMy agent asked me to take pictures of the home and I feel that was his jobIf he would have done his job and came to the home and took his own pictures I would not be dealing with this issue now
