Here is a big question mark, why do I need to pay 30$ to turn the water on? If im paying 30$ im expecting something in return like at least next day to turn it on, but we dont work on sat, sun and monday we have busy so tuesday onlyCan you imagine sitting without water for days, without any notices and my last bill I recieved didnt show the shut down notice or anything like this

Good Day,
For the past three years I have been experiencing financial hardships which I was not able to maintain the utilities as well as fighting to keep my home from going into foreclosures (twice)Our water service with American Water @ Osprey Way, Cooatesville, PA have been off for over two years because I was not able to maintain the bill while fighting foreclosure due to loss of of jobThe the total bill $which I tried tried to make payment arrangements but was told to pay the full amount to restore service
For the past two years; bathing & washing clothes are done at my Mother's home in Philadelphia; purchases of gallon cases of water are used for the toilet & washing dishes and preparing food in the home
Now, I am working but I do not have the full amount $to restore water serviceMy pay check covers my mortgage, electric, food, transportation and tuition for my Son who is in college at Morgan State University as well as water bill upon restoration, but not enough to save $without neglecting essential bills above
That said, if American Water provided ultility forgiveness or payment arrangements to restore service will be be beneficial to all customers and the enhance reputation of thier company; if other ultilities companies provides assistance to thier customers (via Phila Water Works CAP) then why can't American Water or is it all about the money
Thank you for your time and consideration, be blessed
Sincerely,
Katrina Hendry

On 6/a Pennsylvania American Water crew shut off water service to my block to dig a hole and do water pipe work in front of a residence down the street No prior notification was sent stating that the entire block out not have water This lasted around hours
Ever since water was restored to my house the pressure has been causing the pipes entering my house to rattle for several minutes until the pressure has subsided This occurs whenever a faucet is turned on or a toilet is flushed At times, the pressure and rattling is so great that there is water dripping from my main valve
I called PA Water on the morning of 6/and found that I could not just talk to someone about this issue unless I contacted the Emergency Line I would not consider this an Emergency like flooding or discolored water, but I did not want this issue to go the entire weekend in fear that the constant rattling would damage my pipes
When I finally got someone on the Emergency Line named Tara, I

both my wife and I are disabled*** *** *** is a monopoly in my areathey can charge as much as they want whenever they wantwhy can't I choose another *** company? I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the Pennsylvania American Water Company right nowI have been experiencing this issue for well over a monthNormally, my bill ranges from 40-dollarsIt has been this way since moving to the apartment in AugustWhen I got the email to view my January bill, it had tripled! On January 2nd, I was expected to pay almost $150! The bill stated that it was "estimated" and not an actual reading which showed we used OVER 11,gallons of waterI would be curious to know how a household of two human beings could go from using roughly 2,gallons a month and then increase that muchI attempted to contact the water company to dispute this before having to pay such a high billI received no answerI sent emails to the customer service departmentI received no answerI was told with the extremely cold weather I should try to figure this out by myself onlineStill, I waited on the phone to speak with someoneA few times I had to wait on the phone for

My bill due date was March 02, On the 13th of March I was told that I owed not only for March 02, but for the April bill alsoThey combined a bill that was late for days with an April bill while still in the month of March They then threaten to shut off my service on the March 18, if I didn’t pay the total sumShutting off Water for being days late is unreasonable, but then combining a bill that is days late with a bill that isn’t due is abuse of powerI have a year old mother at home while I workThis is how American Water treats its customersToday is only days past the due dateI was planning to pay bill with my next paycheck but who needs to hear threats of Water shut offs when you’re only days lateThis is water not cable TV and there’s a 74year old in the home

Terrible providerTerrible customer service You pay for a service that you don't getThere is no one resolve issues because every representative tells you a different story I pay money and get no adequate service and no resolve

Since January of I received a bill of $2,000, been here since DecemberBy February they had someone come out to read the meter, my toilet was runningSo they gave me an adjustment of $But then my bill was still highSo finally someone put me through to the supervisorThis was in May of 2017, mind you my water was to be st off, I had not paid on my bill yet since the first billSimply because I was told by American water company employee name Kevin my bill should only be $(February)I was also trying to get on the *** program but they never sent me that billSo now may or so another worker comes outMy sink is leakingI was told I couldn't get an adjustment and that I had to have the sink fixedFrom my knowledge the sink has been leaking since I moved in, but my landlord assured me it wasn't a problemI was the referred to the water commissioner, where I was told there was nothing they could doThey gave me a number for housing to report my landlord, b

In September of I purchased my first property and went to settlement for *** *** *** in ParkesburgI corresponded with the builder of the property as well as PA water to ensure that all of my services/utilities were set up and operatingI was told that my meter was installed and that I would have water After moving into the property and giving birth at the end of February I realized that I had never received a bill or any correspondence from them I contacted PA water company around that time and was told that because I was in the new properties it would be a delay before I received my first bill and not to worryTime passed and I simply forgot about the water companyI had been receiving all of my other billsI later began to think that my water bill must be being paid for through my lender with my other bills that they payI called PA water a couple more times in and was told that I fine and had no outstanding billsSometime in December of I received a p

I made an online payment to *** *** *** in December Since that time, they no longer send me any paper statementsWhen I called to pay my bill they said that I was not signed up for paperless statementsI had to pay a fee in order to pay my bill over the phoneThis scenario repeated itself every few months with my complaint about not receiving statements, and their insistence that statements had been mailedToday my water service was shut off with no noticeI called the company and found out the service was turned off because I had not paidBut I have not received any bills in order to payI cannot pay online without my account number, which would be on my statementsThe representative today told me that the statements had been sent to my previous address (not my service address and current residence) up until December 17, I have not lived there since May Now I have to once again pay a fee to settle my account over the phone, and now an addition

I had an unusually high water bill for a month and looked into the issueI spoke with them about the issue to let them know I was looking into the issue with a plumber to see if there was a problemI also let them know that I would wait till next bill to see how the reading looked before paying full amount from disputed billThe next bill looked fine and a new due date was set up for the amounts in which I was going to pay without disputeDays before they turned off my water with NO CALL or NO WARNINGWhen I called to complain I let them know I could pay the amount currently due with no problem but did not understand why they would just shut it off, especially before the "new" due date was upThey in turn wanted me to pay a fee and also set up an installment schedule and deposit? I never have paid a bill late in over years of owning this property....on top of that I have two children and a pregnant wife and now they are telling me they can't guarantee it be turned on before

Twice in the last three billing months, I have not received my bill in the mailI emailed them the first time claiming I prefer to pay via mail and would need my bill sent to me and I was not paying late fees for a bill I didn't receiveAt first they only attached the bill to the email and I don't have access to a printer, nor is that what I asked forSecond they did extend my bill due date, but when I finally did get them to send me a bill in the mail, they didn't include a return envelope, knowing this is the method of payment I have used for the last two yearsBy the time my payment reached them it was deemed late because this was at the end of December when the postal service observes extra days offI'm not upset with the USPS, as I tried to get my bill in the mail ASAP to avoid the late feeThen the second time this happened, I again requested my original bill be mailed again with a return envelopeI didn't get eitherThe bill was a xeroxed copy and no return envelope was

Hi, I am the seller of a house and I attempted to have my account closed as of my settlement date of 7/17/ I was told there are no appointments available and that I could only close the account as of 7/ Obviously at that point I no longer own the house so I would be paying for someone else's service I attempted to make the appointment more than a week in advance

This company is requesting to come into my home during the hours of 8-Monday-FridayWe work at that timeI requested a Saturday appointment and they replied we don’t work on saturdaysI am not leaving my house unlocked to have a stranger come in when I am not home! The representative said well they can turn off your waterI asked if they will pay my salary and explain to my boss why I can not be at workThe representative said no

PA American Water turned off water without noticeAcknowledged theirError in the call but still refused to dispatch someone earlier than hours despite health risk issues
