The Volkswagen Passat that we purchased from Dixie Motors, has had a host of ongoing problems some of which has gone on since our first complaint to the Cincinnati Revdex.com in 2016.? OIL: For the last months or so, we have had to fill the oil tank on a weekly based as it leaks just as often as we top upWhen Eric and I took it to the mechanic, we were advised that there was a leakage in the tank itself that would have to be repaired at costWe would always arrive at a destination in the vehicle and pull out a highly heated key which we figured would not happen once we had put more oil in the reservoirWe decided to call Dixie Motors again to request a copy of the warranty which they promised us at the time of purchase (as well as a $gas card for the trouble of having to drive from Indianapolis on three separate occasions to pick up the car which we would only arrive to find out, was not quite ready to drive back to Indiana.? COOLANT/ANTIFREEZE:? Recently, we were on the highway when we noticed steam billowing out from the hoodWe checked and it app***ed the anti-freeze coolant needed to be topped up since it was far below the minimum lineThe dashboard also indicated a the need so we didWithin a day or so, while driving, the same steaming problem seemed to occur againThe blinking signal showed on the dashboard and we took it to a Volkswagen dealership where we l***ned that the pipe carrying the coolant back and forth beneath the car, had cracked/burst in different places and therefore could no longer hold any fluidWe were advised that the extent of the problem had caused the engine itself to give and therefore would quite possibly need an entirely new engine.? ELECTRICAL & OTHER ONGOING PROBLEMS: We have had to replace worn? tires? in the last couple of monthsOne tire has a large bulge/bubble on it that posed a risk which we had not seen until a mechanic noticedThe? headlights? have not worked since we bought the vehicle and have only relied on the fog lights and fancy strip of lead lights that we were informed was put there by the last owner after he purchased itThe? horns? do not work and therefore makes it impossible for us to alert another driver if we were in their blind spot and they were within inches of hitting us (which has occurred more than once.) The? radio? has not worked since day one and was one of the promises make to us by Dixie Motors that would be covered by warranty and could be fixed by the dealershipLastly, the? trunk? will not open unless my son climbs into the trunk through the back seat and pulls to release the latch and open the trunk.? Since we had been promised a one y [redacted] warranty before and had not as yet received it almost one y [redacted] after the purchase of the vehicle, we contacted them again and have had no luck speaking with anyone there at Dixie Motors.? The vehicle is un-drivable and has cost several hundreds of dollars simply getting it to run on a daily basisThe promise to give us a warranty has not materializedWe made direct complaints to Dixie Motors immediately after we took possession of the vehicleTo date, there has been no such warranty received from Dixie Motors and efforts at contacting either our sales person, [redacted] or his manager [redacted] have been impossible at best.? Our goal is to be mobile and in a safe, reliable vehicleWe are both employed and must be at work each dayWe have kids who are enrolled in extra-curricular activities that cannot be reached without transportationFrankly, with this many problems, we would prefer to give the car back for a full refund of our deposit of $in March 2016, at the time of our purchase.? Mrs [redacted] my name is [redacted] I have just read your complaint with Revdex.comYou originally purchased on 04/17/and you stated that the problem happened on 06/29/which is months agoI am really not to sure of the mechanics you toke the car to but not really sure how they can tell you there was a problem with this car for a year agoPlease feel free to get me something for the different techs that looked at the car so I can have a better understanding of the situation

Thanks for your inquiry.? Our records indicate that you and your husband attempted to purchased a vehicle, a Ford F-pick up truck, from us on February 17, 2018.? Unfortunately, your financing was declined by the lender when they could not verify some of the information that you had provided.? We satisfied your request to retain use of the vehicle while we attempted to search for an additional lender that would approve your application.? The next day a second tentative approval was located for the vehicle loan and again you assured us that it would be no problem in providing the needed documents relating to your husband as the joint applicant.? Daily we communicated with you for the needed documents and daily, you indicated you would provide them all the while continuing to have possession of, and use of, the vehicle.? Finally after more than two weeks you told us that the documentation for your husband would not be available.? We then, at your request, went so far as to seek and find another lender that would make the vehicle loan in just your name only, which we successfully did because of your stated need for the vehicle.? After doing so, you reversed your decision and declined to proceed with the loanWe then advised you that as a result of your decision to not proceed with the vehicle loan, the vehicle would have to be returned, at which point you asked for your down payment of $2,to be returned and began making claims that “you were being treated unfairly”.? ? We were, and still are, confused as to why someone would desperately want a truck so badly as you expressed, apply for several loans to buy it jointly with your husband and fail to produce each time the very last document needed to complete the loan.? Then, as a last resort, you asked us to find a lender who would make the vehicle loan in just your name, and we did.? Now, with the loan you wanted approved and after using the truck for almost weeks and on more than one occasion remarking how happy you were with the vehicle, you abruptly returned the truck and began demanding the return of your down payment.? ? Because of the suspicion created by such an abrupt change of mind, document irregularities and your change of attitude demonstrated by your profane and confrontational language directed toward members of our staff, we took the time to review the entire set of circumstances and as you are already aware, the decision to issue a check for the return of your $was authorized on March 21, and will be sent to you at your address of record as it would have been days earlier had it not been for the aforementioned concerns.? ? We hope this action taken is satisfactory and would hope that the next time you have an interest in a vehicle purchase you will stop and see us at Dixie Imports and become one of our plus satisfied annual car buyers
