inspected by *** (Post Sale Inspection) and if they pass the mechanical inspection including a frame check, we finalize the purchase and make it available for saleFurthermore, every single listing of ours clearly states that we recommend and welcome a independent inspection of each of our vehicles prior to purchase by the customer or their assigned inspectorThere are many companies that provide this service professionally as low as $And if you check our website, you will clearly see this.** *** first asked us to ship the truck and than he decided to send a driver to take the truck back to him.When his driver arrived ( in this case he told us that it was a family friend) I emailed ** *** and as you will see from the attached documents and I got his authorization for his friend to drive , inspect the vehicle and asked for his authorization for him to sign the final AS IS documentI made sure that he drove and inspected the truckFollowing this, I asked him if there were any issues, he said no and signed the AS IS document and leftThis truck was driven back to IA for 1000+miles and few days later ** * *** *** came up with list of things that WAS NOT existing when it left our dealership and his driver didn't mention a single issue at the premises after his inspection.In either case, we provide every opportunity to our customers and work with them so that they can make their purchase with a good piece of mind.His designated person personally inspected the truck, gave his OK and ** * *** *** were made well aware verbally and by the multiple documents (3) that they have signed that vehicle was AS - IS, there were no warranties once it left our promises especially after they personally inspected the vehicle.They had the option of purchasing a extended warranty and as you will see from the documents, they refused!Again, We have no wrong doing or misrepresentation in this case and their claims are 100% and UNFAIR

We understand that it is very unfortunate your insurance company gave us the wrong information regarding coverage of your vehicleHowever per your attached signed contract it was your responsibility to make sure we have proof of property insuranceAlso see attached the Delivery and Acceptance form that states we may repossess the vehicle if you are in default under the terms of the contract for any reason, which you also signedWe contacted your insurance provider and tried to contact you several times before repossessing the vehicleThere was nothing else we could do. I would urge you to contact your insurance company to reimburse you for the repossession fees since it was their mistakeMost likely they willThere is nothing else we can do regarding the matter and we apologize again for your trouble

On 06/05/we received a car from an anonymous person that ms ***'s vehicle was driving around a neighbor with kids in it throwing personal items out the window littering the street the gentlemen stated he had a copy of the contract from the car in his hands that they had threw out and thats
how they knew Petrie was a lien holderI tried calling Ms *** to see if she was aware of the actions of the teens driving the car and no one answered so I called for a repo guy to pick up the car since I was not sure if the car was stolen or not
The wrecker driver called to inform me that there was marijuana and possible stolen id's, ss cards and debit cards in the console
Ms *** called several times asking about getting her car back we told her due to the items in the car we would have to have the police present and she got upset and started threating the clerk that answered her call
Ms *** did come to the car lot to get her car/belongings and she was threatening the cashiers at the front desk because we where waiting on the police to arrive, she continued to be rude to the police and our staff at the front finally the police had to issue a no trespassing citation and we called the note on the car

At Petrie Auto Sales our goal is to provide good transportation for each customer. I regret that your experience with our employees was not favorable*** is no longer employed here It is company policy to offer a warranty on all vehicle sales at time of sale. My understanding
is that you denied that insurance. I looked at your account and it is active and current. I am hopeful the repairs were made and your are now happy with your vehicle. I found your complaint a little difficult to understand so I hope this response is helpful Thanks *** ***

We knew that when we signed but the dealer's salesman made an arrangement with us because of my husband's terminal illnessIf he had not offered us the deal, I would have made other arrangements at the timePetre's only lose as a business was towing and cleaning the vehicleThe payments were currantThe man lied to my husband and I!

I am sorry to hear about your frustrations with the car you purchased and apologize for any misunderstandings
The contract that you signed does state that you must keep collateral insurance with a Comprehensive deductible not more than $You were in breach of the
contract because you were only carrying liability insurance
As the contract states you are in default if you break any promises to the agreement and that we may repossess the vehicle and we will tell you at that point how much it costs to get it backThe contract is stated in this way because the tow truck prices vary depending on the situation
The contract also states that we will give you days notice before we sell the vehicle to someone elseYou can make car payments or repo payments any time during business hoursHowever the repo lot is closed at 4:30pm and on weekends so that is why the actual piof the car or personal possessions must be done at certain timesI understand that this may be inconvenient for you so we try to keep customers informed so they may make appropriate arrangements
Your car was repoed on Thursday 9/for a repo fee of $And then a car payment due on 9/for $So you only owed $I understand the concern that if you had waited until Monday to make your car payment you would have been charged a late feeThe car payment could still have been made online on the due date as you have done previously if you could not pick up the car until Monday

Here are the facts concerning this complaint. The customer is currently 2 payments behind placing him in default of the contract.The vehicle was totaled due to hail damage.  Mr. [redacted] now has two options.Option 1 - To allow the insurance company to keep the vehicle.  Freeing him...

to purchase a different vehicle.Option 2 - To keep the vehicle himself and allow Petrie Auto Sales to repair the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] would continue in his existing contract. Either way he needs to bring his account up to date and he has a $500.00 deductible on his insurance.  The vehicle is still drivable and the customer is driving it.This account is currently in a collections status because Mr. [redacted] is not making his payments.

[redacted] purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro from Petrie Auto Sales on 10/4/2016.  Her application for purchase showed she was employed at [redacted] in Fort Worth and lived in Fort Worth.  She was contacted by Petrie Auto Sales employees when she became behind in her payments.  At...

that time she stated that she now works in Midland and plans to move there.  When she did not respond to requests for payment her vehicle was put on anout for repossession list. The vehicle was picked up and found to be in wrecked condition.  [redacted] had not reported the accident to her insurance company.  Petrie Auto Sales did report the accident to the insurance company and [redacted] then cancelled thereport.  [redacted]'s refusal to properly repair and maintain the vehicle led to her not getting the vehicle returned to her.

See attachments. There was a misunderstanding between petrie and AMAX insurance, not between me and petrie. References have had no communication with petrie motors. I had not received a voicemail a text a letter or an email from petrie motors until AFTER THEY HAD REPOSSESSED MY VEHICLE ILLEGALLY. Petrie says I didn't phone them even tho I knew they had called me , a ridiculous and untrue statement. AFTER THE REPOSESSION I PHONED PETRIE. WHEN TJEY SAID THEY HAD PHONED ME I SAID TO THEM THAT I HAD NO MESSAGE FROM THEM THAT IF I HAD KNOW I !OST DEFI ITELY WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM BACK BECAUSE I KNOW HOW THEY ARE ABOUT TAKING FOLKS VEHICLES AT ANY OPPORTUNITY. THEY DO THIS TO COLLECT THE RIDICULOUS FEE. THEY WOULD NOT WITHDRAW THIS FEE EVEN AFTER MYAMAX AGENTFAXED PROOF OF I SURANCE ANDTHEN CALLED PERTRIE PERSONALLY TO VERUFY MY INSURANCE. PETRIE STIL REFUSED TO WITHDRAW THE FEE. THEY INLY WANT THE REPOSESSION FEE. THIS ISNORMAL BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR PETRIE MOTORS . THERE ARE HUNDREDS IF POOR PEOPLE THAT TRUSTED PETRIE TO DO RIGHT AND TREAT THEM FAIRLY.NPETRIE MOTORS TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE DISADVANTAGE . The vehicle was damaged.  Because of this damage I am unable to refund any funds to the customer.

It sounds like an unfortunate series of events.  The automobile was only sold to their son because they were willing to co-sign.  A co-signer is only requested when the original applicant does not qualify.  Part of being a co-signer is risking your credit if the original...

applicant does not pay.  That is what happened here.  A remedy has been offered in this case of $1,000.00 for credit removal.  The total loss is much more and Petrie Auto Sales is willing to take that loss.

That's a flat out lie no teenagers were driving my car my information was in the car yes because I left my Belonging in the car they had no right to pick up my car my wallet was in car but no one could see it they have all my stuff and wouldn't give it back to me I work 12 hr a day my car was at work with me in a locked gate u have to use your badge to get in and out  they just picked it up after 10 pm at night Iwasn't at home I was at my boyfriend house when they picked the car up they are lying about kids driving my car that day I told them to give me my belongings back they have them no stranger had my stuff yes police was called because they wouldn't give me my wallet out the car

required.  This requirement was not met.The contract with its additional forms signed at time of sale explains the time frame for right to cure and timeline for repossession information.  Every time a customer makes a payment they are given a receipt which provides detailed account information in writing.I would be willing to work with Miss [redacted] to provide her with sufficient information concerning the amount still owed to clear up her credit bureau reporting.

Per your signed contract, it was your responsibility to notify us of a change in insurance. It is unfortunate the insurance miscommunicated information to us but we tried to contact you multiple times and even reached out to your references. You told us that you received our calls but didn't think you needed to return them. We did not want to repossess your vehicle but must in cases where the vehicle is not insured, which based on the information available to us, your car was not insured. We try to be fair and helpful and were even working with you on the payment you were behind. Again, we apologize for your trouble.

I apologize in advance for the inconveniences and confusion with your situation. Let me take a minute to clarify why your car was repossessed each time.
At the end of July your car was repossessed because we had been notified buy your insurance company that your insurance was...

cancelled. As the lien holder and per the contract you signed, we require the vehicle to maintain coverage.
The second time your car was repossessed, on 10/18/2015, was because you were behind on your car payments. You did make a payment via paypal on 10/18/2015 but our office is closed on Sundays and your car was put out for repo on 10/17/2015. And even after you made this payment you were still behind on payments and were required to make another payment on 10/20/15 to get your payments closer to being caught up.
I understand your frustration with having to pay the repo fees but it is stated in your contract along with information of the tracking device.
I hope this somewhat helps better explain what happened with your car. We have no intention of ripping off our customers. We do however have to do what is necessary to make sure the vehicle is insured and payments are current.
We appreciate your business and hope this helps to somewhat resolve the issues you mentioned.

I am rejecting this response because: I never said I was moving to midland. I paid my payment Friday morning and you took the car Monday morning when I got back. I was caught up on payments. I had reported the accident but I was paying out of pocket.

I do not accept petrie response.  I fulfilled my contract obligations.  I had insurance and it was paid for and active.  they had no right to take my vehicle due to their own miscommunication with the amax agent.
