***,Courtney has reached out to you to see what in her power she can do to turn things around, but she is not able to move forward in helping you find happiness when you keep rejecting any help. For one we do consider years significant time for one to change and turn their lives around and that it was many years ago. *** had not disclosed that he had had prior addiction habits, or that he was a recovering addict. He claimed how happy he was in his life and Christ and things were so positive upon enrollmentAs for not received an e-mail back from Courtney as you stated and she had spoken with you about that she had been gone on her allotted vacation for days and Annie had taken over. I am not sure why you keep going back to thisYou seemed to understand this on the phone...As for Tom only wanting sex you had disclosed to Courtney that you both were "fooling around as adults do at his house while watching t.vI am not sure why you seem so upset with him when you set a precedence with him that this was o.k in your relationship. Now on to things being "fishy" with Courtney not being in the meeting and her statement she was dealing with her sick client. She was on the phone in a sad situation and upon getting off she did not want to come in the room when Annie adequately was handling the situation, nor make you feel uncomfortable in a uncomfortable conversation. If anything she wanted you to get out what you needed in venting to to Annie and if needed she would have come right in. No one had come to her at all however. I do not know what more we can do except honor what you purchased and get you out with someone who makes you happy again and hope it lasts for you both

Again, we can appreciate that [redacted] is so frustrated with the company, but Philadelphia Singles has performed according to stated contract terms.  Of importance, the below discuss what constitutes an "introduction", as well as how "preferences" are used for matching.
According to paragraph 3b. of the
contract (which [redacted] initialed), “An introduction is made when
Philadelphia Singles provides you with a name and a phone number of another
member.”  Also, “Introductions are
generally provided at a rate of approximately one to two per eight-week
period.  However, as introductions are
provided on an AS-AVAILABLE basis, the rate of provided introductions may vary
with each individual member.”

Paragraph
3c. (“PREFERENCES”) of the contract states, “Preferences are used as a
guideline for Membership Services when seeking potential introductions.  As introductions are based on an AS-AVAILABLE
basis, introductions will be made that are as nearly compatible to a
member’s preferences at any given time.”
Further, the same clause states: “Philadelphia Singles, its agents
and assigns, do not represent the characteristics, availability, quantity or
demographic make-up of its membership base at any time.  You, the Member, acknowledge that the
membership base changes on a daily basis due to changes in membership status,
including, but not limited to: new enrollments, expired membership, members
becoming involved in relationships, members traveling, and members temporarily
suspending their memberships.”

Further,
an Addendum to the contract (see attached), signed by [redacted] states the
following: “…I understand that my preferences are ‘preferences’ and not
‘requirements’.  If at any time
Philadelphia Singles is unable to select an introduction who fulfills all of my
preferences, Philadelphia Singles will select an introduction who is compatible
with my preferences but who may not meet all of the preferences I indicated in
my profile.”

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:This response is almost entirely fabricated. I have not received a single approved introduction in almost 12 months of using them. Just to clarify, I paid extra to be able to "pre-approve" matches.  The one person whose contact information I was sent I did not approve and it was sent to me by default without me approving because they were calling me from an unlisted # and I did not answer to be given the option to approve or reject in a timeframe they found acceptable (i assumed it was a telemarketer). When I received the email stating that this was an official introduction, I immediately called and was told it WOULD NOT count towards my overall total due to them not using my preferred contact method and me never approving. That I could have it as a freebie.
Further the person did not meet my established range of criteria (which is why I would've rejected if given a chance). The second and third person they tried to introduce me to also  did not meet my criteria so I rejected, and finally they sent me the first person again as my fourth introduction (who, I already rejected and once again, did not meet my criteria). I am happy to provide screenshots of as much of this as I have available.
Verbally I was assured during the sale pitch that there was plenty of available candidates that met my criteria and that my criteria was not unreasonable.  Further I was verbally informed that I could view pictures if I wanted, an option I choose to exercise on the second match because the first match was not anything like had been described to me.  This is the first time I was told it I was not allowed to preview pictures.
As stated in my initial complaint, I was told the initial interview would take about an hour, after 2 hours I was given a high pressure take it or leave type sales pitch and encouraged to just initial documents without reading because I did not have time to read (I had to leave to go get my children off bus). So yes, I stupidly caved into the pressure, initialed and signed without reading any fine print and only later discovered what I was lead to believe did not match the details. I do not contest it however,  I was specifically told that if I didn't quickly sign and initial the opportunity would be gone forever ,  I was told no when I asked if I could come back later in the week to review more thoroughly.
It is clear that this is an unethical business that preys on people in weakened emotional states and takes advantage of them with high pressure sales tactics and mounds of fine print that people don't read or don't understand, I seem numerous complaints and talks of a class action lawsuit online and would be happy to partake in that if you could direct me.  I am highly motivated to makes sure other people do not get swindled like I have been.
Finally, what is not contestable is that after almost 11 months I have no approved a single introduction and they can not provide proof that I have. (cause I haven't). If that is holding up their end of the deal then the deal was bogus to begin with (my contention).
Sincerely,

Again, we are sorry Ms. Baldwin is so unhappy with Philadelphia Singles.  However, she is not telling the truth, and we stand by our initial response.  Philadelphia Singles did indeed provide her with six introductions, but perhaps Ms. Baldwin only had contact with two.  The...

Membership Agreement is clear that an introduction counts when the member name and contact information is transmitted to the member.  Over the course of her membership, Ms. Baldwin received six introductions.  See below:

I am a widow that didn't finish filling out the profile online. I was called the next day by the director asking if I was the beautiful, sexy and my name. Very unprofessional. I went in for an interview and starting filling out forms, a counselor came in and as soon as I said I had no money in my account until I got paid I was treated like trash! I would not recommend them to anyone, I feel they are only praying on vulnerable people! Waste of time, do not fall for the act!!!

------ Forwarded message ----------From: [redacted] <[redacted].[redacted]>Date: Thu, Dec 22, 2016 at 12:33 PMSubject: REF: [redacted]To: "[redacted]" <[redacted]>Hi [redacted], How come you are asking for the contract, can Revdex.com really do anything with helping to get a refund?  Or is it just the typical next step?  I attached the 2 contracts, I am sure nothing can be done, and these people terrify me.  Apparently, the 4 matches I paid for, they only have to provide a name and a telephone number.  Even if they never call, and we never meet, somehow it counts as a match, which I only had 4 I paid for, with that $1,900.  That was never made clear during the sales pitch.  So from their end, b/c they provided a piece of paper with a name and phone number and no date, that somehow counts on that big landscape contract 3b.  They only called with 1 real match that was followed by a date.  All the rest never called, and I didn’t get a phone call introducing him to me like in 3a. (they introduced a couple who were far away with kids and I declined)   So they word their contracts well, it just doesn’t seem fair.  After I told Harvey that if I don’t get my money back I will have to do another Revdex.com review b/c he didn’t make good on his promises of sending me more matches, they did finally send me someone who actually did text me, after 6 months of silence.  Vs the other ones who I never even heard from.  All in all, I spoke to and met one person.  Can I “get in trouble” of any kind for filling out a Revdex.com review?  Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.  But again, these people terrify me.  I don’t trust them at all, and am not sure how to proceed without “getting in trouble” in some way with them. Thank you, [redacted]

I am so happy with my choice to join Philadelphia Singles! They are incredibly caring and their matchmaker Courtney always treats me like I'm her only client. She has worked so hard for me in finding the man of my dreams and even though it took a couple bad dates to get their I am so happy to report that she succeeded! I've been in love for 7 months with the man of my dreams and I have Philadelphia Singles and Courtney to thank for that!

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: As this company has clearly stated in previous responses they knew [redacted] had a record and did not inform me. I have no information. I have submitted my contract, emails and text messages. They are clearly in breech of contract I just want his matter resolved with a full refund $3,300 in which I paid for services that were clearly not delivered and for breech of contract. I am tired of going around in circles and being redundant in my responses and theirs. The only thing new I have to say is that I find it very offensive, morally bankrupt and down right dangerous with the  comment they made in last response. I did allow a man to feel my boobs while we were kissing. I made it clear to him that I would not have sex with him. For a woman to tell me "what do you expect him to think when you lead him on like that". First of all I made it clear sex was not an option. Second I submitted the text that showed he stated he only wanted sex. Third every woman and man in this matter has the right to say NO at anytime. Would they be saying that if I was taped by this man? I lead him so there I deserved it? I am completely shocked and blown away that a woman who claims they are trying to find "you love" could make such a disgusting statement. I want a full refund. If you need me to resubmit my contract, emails or text message please let me know. I am tired of going in circles and would resolution in the form of a refund. If you could also shut this place down that would be wonderful as well.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Correct.  I signed their agreement.  An agreement is between 2 parties and this company did not fulfill on their terms or promises of their own agreement.  I wrote evidence of this earlier.  I've expressed dissatisfaction on the phone to them several times and they were still not fulfilling on their promises which is how it got to contacting Revdex.com.  I do not wish to proceed with them further in any way and wish to receive a full $2,000 refund.
Regards,
[redacted]

First and foremost, Philadelphia
Singles takes every member complaint very seriously, and it concerns us that Mr.
Demeraski was so unhappy.

Philadelphia Singles has a
firm ''no refund policy'' (See paragraph 4a. of the contract, which states:
''EXCEPT WHAT IS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE IS NO RIGHT TO RESCIND THIS
AGREEMENT.  Philadelphia Singles does not grant refunds or accept
cancellations of any kind, unless otherwise stated in this agreement.'').

Once a person enrolls in our membership and pays for our
service the sale is final.  No right exists for that person to obtain a
refund any time thereafter simply because that person changed their mind.
[redacted] became a member
of Philadelphia Singles on January 10, 2015, purchasing eight (8) introductions.
To date, [redacted] has personally received two (2) introductions—that he
approved with Selective Screening.

As stated in paragraph 3b. of
the contract (which [redacted] initialed), ''An introduction is made when Philadelphia
Singles provides you with a name and a phone number of another
member.''   Additionally, paragraph 3b. (''PREFERENCES'') of the
contract states, ''Preferences are used as a guideline for Membership services
when seeking potential introductions.  As introductions are based on an
AS-AVAILABLE basis, introductions will be made that are as nearly compatible to
a member's preferences at any given time.''   Further, the same
clause states: ''Philadelphia Singles, its agents and assigns, do not represent
the characteristics, availability, quantity or demographic make-up of its
membership base at any time.  You, the Member, acknowledge that the
membership base changes on a daily basis due to changes in membership status,
including, but not limited to: new enrollments, expired membership, members
becoming involved in relationships, members traveling, and members temporarily
suspending their memberships.''

Further, an Addendum to the
contract, signed by [redacted] states the following: ''...I understand that
my preferences are 'preferences' and not 'requirements'.  If at any time Philadelphia
Singles is unable to select an introduction who fulfills all of my preferences,
Philadelphia Singles will select an introduction who is compatible with my
preferences but who may not meet all of the preferences I indicated in my
profile.''

Having said that, Philadelphia
Singles is generous about replacing the introductions that do not result in
meetings or result in very disappointing meetings.  [redacted] is no
exception to this generosity. Because Philadelphia Singles aims to please, Philadelphia
Singles will work hard to find the right introductions for [redacted].

Based upon an analysis of [redacted]s membership file, it appears that Philadelphia Singles provided
service to [redacted] precisely in the manner he contracted for. Philadelphia Singles has performed according
to the stated contract terms and services are most definitely being rendered as
agreed.

[redacted] has complained
about not being able to see pictures of his introductions prior to receiving
them.  [redacted] has been told
repeatedly that this was not an option with his membership, nor any membership
for that matter.  [redacted]’s contract
is also clear on the matter, regardless of how [redacted] claims he did not
have the opportunity to read it.

At Philadelphia Singles we
understand that when people become members of such a personal service they may
second-guess their decision.  Customer satisfaction is important to Philadelphia
Singles.

Philadelphia Singles has kept
its side of the agreement and has remained within the parameters of the
contract. [redacted] is not entitled to a refund.

Senior Management has
directed Member Services to reach out to [redacted] to hopefully move
forward in a positive manner.

Philadelphia Singles stands by its initial response.  All terms and conditions of the membership are clearly laid out in the written Membership Agreement. As previously stated in yesterday's response, Philadelphia Singles will be reaching out to Ms. [redacted] to address her concerns and hopefully remedy the situation. I found the matching services online and filled out the application. They called me on 9/12 and the person was very charismatic and saying I was exactly what they are looking for. They wanted me to come out and talk to one of their 'counselors' I was skeptical and was honest about it and I said it sounds like I can't afford your services. He said there was no obligation to come out and talk - I just needed an 'open mind'. They would also give me a huge discount. So - I said okay - I would come out and see what they had to offer.
So I get there and they have some paperwork to fill out. They asked a lot about finances and wanted details.
So I sat thru the interview process. It was almost 2 hrs. It was a great conversation with the lady. They were very accommodating and seeemed to really understand me and what I was looking for.
I was still a bit skeptical and said I wanted to think about it overnight.
On that - this lady totally changed and started to attack. She kept saying that you said you would have an 'open mind'. If you leave now you will never come back. you will never follow through. She kept going on and on and on... That really turned me off.
Then I asked what the cost was. Well - They would not tell me the cost. I had to sign up and then we could discuss it. Talk about a huge red flag...
I said how can I plan my budget if I don't know the cost. She was like you don't know your budget? I said I do, but I just want the night to go over everything and make my decision.
She said if you do that you will be disqualified.
What?? you want me to sign a contract without knowing what I am getting into... ummm - NO. So I said just disqualify me - because I won't sign it tonight.
I left at that time expecting to never hear from them since I was "disqualified."
The guy call today 9/13. He was belligerent and rude toward me. He said I would die alone. I was not 'open minded' I was closed minded and no wonder I have been single for so long. I could not get a word in edge wise and he started to yell at me, so I hung up and blocked his number. He called back and left a belligerent and rude voice mail message. He kept going on about having an 'open mind', that I will never find anyone, that I needed to deal with my issues.
This is not a company that has ethical business practices. They use aggressive tactics that would be overwhelming to many people. They are very agreeable and patronizing up front but if you want more information about the company they get very aggressive.
