Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I have not received anything from the business as of today Wednesday January 14, 2015.

As stated in my previous response, I am providing this additional response to the original complaint.
Following the purchase...

of the services, the next scheduled appointment in the treatment package is called the Pre-Op appointment. During this appointment, the patient met with our medical staff. Not only did she undergo the testing requirements, but was provided realistic expectations of the results she could expect to obtain. To ensure understanding on the part of the patient, we provide documentation as well. The patient signed all the documentation and was provided copies.
Once treatment is complete, we also provide scheduled follow up appointments to the patient, as part of the treatment package. The patient kept all her follow up appointments, as well as requested to be seen again, almost a full year following the completed treatments. This additional appointment is not part of the treatment package, and was provided to her free of charge. During all follow up appointments, including the last one, results we explained specific to her situation and body composition, by medical staff.
All purchased services were fulfilled by our office, with expectations set forth before treatment was administered. There is no refund due.

I am rejecting this response because:This response completely ignores the issue.  The results I received were horrible.  My stomach was left lumpy and uneven, more fat was removed from one side than the other, and I have a crease running approximately 6 inches across my upper abdomen, and I have loose and baggy skin along the side of my belly button - other doctors have indicated these results occurred because of poor technique.  In the pretreatment meetings I asked both the office manager and the physician about the risk of these types of negative occurrences and was repeatedly assured that because I was in good shape, was not overweight and had healthy skin, that my results would be very good. The repeat visit they reference (there were several actually) was because of my extreme disappointment with the results I received.  These appointments were scheduled to seek some sort of corrective treatment that would mitigate these horrible results.  I was seen at both the Roseville and the Folsom locations and was told by the physician who performed my procedure that there was nothing she could do for me now and that the only remedy to the loose, baggy skin I was left with was to undergo a tummy tuck - a very invasive, expensive procedure  that will leave me with a huge scar and will require significant time off from work.  I was told no less than 3 times by 3 different office managers that a refund seemed appropriate and would not be a problem. I was told to provide a written request for a refund, which I hand delivered to the Roseville office.  I contacted the office 6 times and the 4th time was informed my request had been for a refund had been "misplaced".  Having spent my available savings on this treatment, I am not able to afford the recommended tummy tuck absent a refund from the procedure that caused my current situation.  I was disappointed, but not surprised, to learn this this physician had been the focus of numerous complaints by other clients who received substandard results. I have been pursuing a remedy for this situation for several years now.  I have been respectful and polite to the office staff, who have agreed that a refund was appropriate when they examined and photographed my extremely disappointing results.  I am seeking the refund I have been promised.

Patient completed services referenced in complaint in 2010 - over four years ago. We are reviewing her file, and will be responding with additional details within 48 hours.

I did receive check the day after talking with you but was waiting to see if check cleared before contacting you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed[redacted]

We sincerely apologize for the delay and frustration experienced by this patient. A refund, in the amount of $1,195.00 is being processed today and will be mailed to the patient. address our patient provided on this complaint. Please notify me immediately if there are additional concerns.Thank you.

We are working directly with our patient to resolve this complaint. There should be a final decision made today.

We apologize the delay in response to our patient's complaint. An account review was necessary in order to determine the corrective action. After researching, the following has been determined:The patient was invoiced for $750.00. This amount reflects a 50% discount  2 treatments (tx) of...

Microderm Abrasion = $150.00 ($75.00 per tx)2 treatments (tx) of IPL (laser pigment facial procedure) = $600.00 ($300.00 per tx).She paid half the invoice amount: $375.00.  She was entitled to 1 tx of Micro ($75.00) and 1 tx of IPL ($300.00).Because she received one tx of Micro (value of $75.00) = her total refund amount is $300.00.  However, we have issued a previous refund check in the amount of $75.00. The remaining $225.00 will be processed immediately and sent by check to our patient.

Review: I formally requested a refund in February. After 3 1/2 months, they have yet to honor their refund policy. My phone calls & emails have been ignored.

This business has NOT complied with their refund policy. Because the cancellation took place before any services were rendered, I am owed a refund of 90% of the $2900 I paid. Office staff has informed me that they were surprised that I had not received my refund yet as it customarily only takes 4-8 weeks.I have called [redacted] as well and she has yet to return a single call.

Purchase Date: Jan 19, 2013

Refund Request form in person: Feb 19, 2013

Desired Settlement: Refund of $2610, issued before the end of June.

$2900 - $290 (10%) = $2610.

Business' Initial Response

We apologize for the delay in processing the patient's refund request. That is being rectified immediately. The patient will receive a check by mail on/before the first week of July 2013. I have also contacted [redacted] by phone today, and left her a voicemail with the same information.

Review: Went into Physcians Skin &Weight Center in Roseville 8/19/14 for a pre-op appointment for a procedure and paid $3,820.up front .The doctor examined me and stated I was not a candidate and I would not get the result I wanted. So procedure was canceled . Went back to the front desk to have them credit my credit card and they said they couldn't cause it had to go through the business office . Waited a couple of weeks and called them a few times to see why I have'nt received my money. They sent emails to the business office supposedly each time I called . Still no refund. I made an appointment with my consultant in Elk Grove office where my first initial appointment was for her to help with getting my refund . She also sent an email to the business office . Finally someone called me from the business office and said they would refund me 2/19/14 but that never happened . I called my credit card company but they said past 90 days they can't help me which I didnt know . So now I'm reaching out to the Better Business Burea for assistance . My last resort will be Small Claims Court if still no resolution. I don't understand why they think they can keep my money??????Desired Settlement: Since original procedure wasn't going to benefit me I tried another service of theirs which also wasn't working so discontinued that service which cost total of $600. So total they owe me is $3,220. That's what is owed me

We apologize for the delay in response, and processing of this patient's refund. The refund is being processed, and a check will be mailed directly to her by May 15th.

Review: In March of 2013 I went in for "Smart Lipo". I had 1st part of a 2 part procedure done (Arms & thighs). When I went back in April of 2013 for part 2(Tummy/thighs), I was advised by the doctor that I should not have the procedure done due to "Loose Skin" that was around my tummy. She stated that I would require additional procedures to remove loose skin. This was all told to me after I had already been through the consultation and had the 1st procedure. So the tummy procedure was not done and I was told that I would be refunded for the amount that the procedure costs. I had already paid for both procedure(s). In May 2014 I called to inquire about about the status of my refund. "I spoke to [redacted]", who stated that [redacted] handled all refunds and that she would make sure that she returned my call. In June 2014, I called and spoke to [redacted] again. I told her that I have not received a call or email from [redacted] or anyone regarding my refund. She seemed surprised that no one has contacted me. She then assured me again to relay the message. I called again in June and left message for [redacted] to call me because I still had not heard from anyone. My call was not returned In July 2014 I went to the office to get some answers since no one was returning my calls. I spoke to [redacted] and she had me fill out a "Refund request form". She was surprised I had not heard from [redacted] and assured me that once I filled out the form she will submit to [redacted]. She said she will for sure contact me once she has received. I filled out and left it with [redacted] who emailed it to [redacted]. I have called several times from September through November and I get the same excuse or run around. I have yet to hear from [redacted] at all. In November I spoke to "[redacted]". He is a manager who stated the same thing about [redacted] being the one who handles refunds. I have not received a call or email from [redacted] nor Have I received my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like the refund that I am entitled to. The refund that I was told I would receive. The over all cost was over $8,000.00. I was told my refund was $1,195.00. At a minimum I would desire my refund in the amount of $1,195.00.

Review: Fraudulent charges for unprovided services because they were mad due to my canceling procedure due to horrible reviews.

I went in for a consult and signed up with their finance company. I canceled the next day-within 24 hours with them and their finance company. They are now charging me nearly $700 for a purported EKG I never received. I told them I had one the month before at a cost of $50 they were going to accept. They also forced me to pay out of pocket for another battery of blood tests. After going to another consult at [redacted] that didn't require any tests and had 5 star reviews with NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER, I went with [redacted] Now they're mad and trying to screw me for charges I WAS NEVER INFORMED OF OR AGREED TO. THEY ARE RUINING MY PERFECT CREDIT BY BILLING THE FINANCE COMPANY WHO HARASSES ME DAILY. THIS IS A LIVING [redacted] FOR ME AS I WORKED 7 YEARS TO REBUILD MY CREDIT. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THEY ARE BUTCHERS AND FRAUDS. ANOTHER CONSUMER COMPLAINED OF CHARGES FOR CANCELING.Desired Settlement: I WANT A FULL CREDIT TO THE FINANCE COMPANY FOR THE BOGUS SERVICES THEY CLAIM THEY PROVIDED I DID NOT AGREE TO OR WAS INFORMED OF.

Initial Business Response

The remaining charge of $600.00 on the patient's account is for the Pre-Op testing, which was completed with the patient in our clinic. The patient was made aware of all charges, in writing, prior to anything being done. Furthermore, the patient gave consent and signed the documents that specified the charges. All of charges have been credited/refunded.

I have spoken to this patient verbally, in which she told me, "the Pre-Op was not done". When I explained to her that we had the signed documents as well as the lab testing backup showing her results, she changed her statement.

There is no additional credit/refund due. The patient is responsible for work completed by our clinic, which was documented and agreed to by her.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

I went to this rip off place to consult on a lipo procedure. I then read their reviews and they are mostly all 1 star. I elected not to go ahead with procedure there. They then took my info, opened up an account by badly forging my name on two documents and charged it nearly $1,000. I have been fighting this for nearly two years. I had to hire an attorney and paid them nearly a grand and still haven't had it removed from my credit files. Their collection agency hounds me mercilessly. I am elderly, disabled and have had a nervous breakdown due to this horrific harassment and destruction of my once perfect credit.

I WANT REIMBURSEMENT FOR MY LEGAL FEES AND THE DEROGATORY CREDIT REMOVED FROM ALL THREE CREDIT BUREAUS. ALSO, I WANT $5,000 IN DAMAGES FOR MY EMOTIONAL DISTRESS AND MENTAL ANGUISH DUE TO THE TRAUMA I HAVE SUFFERED DUE TO THEIR FELONIOUS ACTIONS DESTROYING MY GOOD CREDIT, CAUSING ME A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN.

Response:

Please see the attached document, which is signed by the patient. The first line states, "SmartLipo procedures cancelled after your pre-operative visit or rescheduled less than 2 business days in advance are subject to a $600.00 fee."The patient's financed account was refunded, minus the $600.00 Pre-Op fee. The patient did complete her Pre-Op appointment, and is therefore responsible for the charge, which again, was not refunded to the financed account. Any additional amounts incurred are between the patient and the finance company. We have gone above and beyond in demonstrating this patient's agreement to our company regarding the completed Pre-Op appointment on 6/3/13, and her obligation to honor her agreement by her signature on the document provided. We consider this matter resolved.

Response:

ONCE AGAIN. I HAD NO PROCEDURES FROM THIS PLACE, JUST A FREE CONSULT. AFTER READING THEIR HORRIBLE REVIEWS LATER THAT DAY, I ELECTED NOT TO GO FORWARD! THEY CANNOT DRAW BLOOD AND PERFORM EKGS IN AN OFFICE SETTING. I CANCELLED PROCEDURE THE VERY NEXT DAY THAT WAS SET THREEE MONTHS OUT.

Review: I received poor results from a liposuction treatment from this office and have been repeatedly promised they would refund my money, but they have failed to do so. They have had high turnover of the role of the office manager and with each change in staff I have to begin the refund process again. The physician who treated me acknowledged there was nothing she could do at this point to remedy the loose skin, lumpiness and unevenness I was left with and told me a tummy tuck was the only option. I was seeking a refund for the services to help offset the cost of this far more invasive procedure that I now need to have done. In doing some research on this physician/office, I came across past complaints regarding the lack of proper training and experience of the physician to perform this type of service. Since I have had this done, other physicians have told me I was not a good candidate for this treatment, and a competent physician would not have performed this service. I am requesting the assistance of the Revdex.com in holding them responsible for providing competent medical services and for refunding my money as they have promised.[redacted]###-###-####Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the full cost of the liposuction I had performed. This will only partially offset the cost of the procedure I now need to have performed. The total amount paid was approximately $5,000.

Review: Requested refund for services not received and services not completed. Refund promised 2/5/2015 but never received. Company has been non-responsive. I went into the Campbell, CA Skin & Weight Center on 4/18/14 for a consult for 2 locations of smart lipo, inner and outer thigh. I has told by the salesperson, [redacted], that I would need my knees and banana roll done as well for the full effect. I was basically told that if I did not get these additional sections it would not look right. I was marked in the areas of what would be done. On procedure day, the first day meeting with the actual doctor [redacted], I was marked in different areas. I questioned the areas and I was told that they couldn't do the back if knee or thigh as there were sensitivity there. I questioned why I was told these parts would originally be done and received the response that she did not mark me. So initially I was lied to as to the sections that would actually be done so they would receive my money in advance. As I had already paid since payment is due in advance there was no way out at that time. Dr. [redacted] assured me that it would look fine and if any problems they would re-do the areas to my liking. During the surgery the doctor seemed really rushed. It was on 5/23/2014, the Friday before memorial weekend. I was watching the entire surgery and questions why certain areas were not done, upper outer thigh and banana roll. She told me don't worry they were done. I was awake, I know they were not done. I go for my follow up a few weeks later and advise the nurse that I was not happy, I had no bruising on banana roll because it was not done or on my upper thigh, the part of the thigh I specifically wanted done. She mentioned it takes 6 months for full recovery and that the doctor was unavailable, but I would speak with her in 6 months at my follow up and discuss a re-do of the sections of my outer thigh missed and the would do the banana roll if it was missed at that time. When I asked to speak to another nurse or doctor the nurse said that there is nothing the doctor can do now but can fix it with another surgery and complete the undone parts as well until after 6 months. After patiently waiting I went in after 6 months for my follow-up. I again told the nurse and Dr. [redacted] my frustrations, and requested that they fix all the problems and actually do the section of the banana roll that was missed as well as the upper outer thigh that was missed as well. Dr. [redacted] said that she did not want to do the surgery. They supposedly have a policy where if you are not happy they will re-do the work. That's a hoax. On 12/1/2014 I requested a refund and she referred me to [redacted] the Clinic Manager, [redacted] then sent me a refund form and said she would send it to the Clinical Director, [redacted] for processing. I send in my request with back up and never heard from [redacted] until I sent several emails and phone calls and asked [redacted] to help me get a hold of her. I received a call from [redacted] on 2/15/2015 stating that my refund would be processed by accounting that week and I should received it by 2/13/2015. As of today 3/30/2015, nothing has been received. I sent several more emails and made phone calls to see why I didn't get a refund as promised. Finally after a certified letter was sent, an email was returned from [redacted] saying my file was in review with corporate and she would have a response by 2/25/2015. I am not sure why the file was being reviewed again since a refund was promised in February 2015. It has been 4 months and I have not heard back from [redacted] regarding resolution as of today 3/30/2015.Desired Settlement: Full amount of services was $7205.40. I had requested the fair amount of $3717.00 for 2 sections plus fees charged in addition to those sections. I am asking that a refund in the amount of $3717.00 be sent to me for services not received or completed.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: The response from Physicians Skin and Weight is False. They did not complete the work that was paid for. I purchased 4 areas of smart lipo: inner thigh, outer thigh, knees and banana roll. The banana roll was never done in the procedure and the outer thigh was not completed and the back of my knees were not done (I was told during surgery that it was an unsafe part of the body due to veins, however when I bought that section the sales rep assured me the back would be included and showed me by drawing the section on me. The doctor only went up a portion of the way, half of the area of my upper, outer thigh was not touched. I expressed my concerns during surgery when the areas were not touch and during my follow up appointments. The follow up appointment were with the nurses and when I asked to speak with the Doctor then said she was not there. The response from the nurse was that the areas had to heal and that if the sections were not done or not done to my satisfaction that the sections would be re-done but for me not to worry about it that I would be taken care of and that I would have to wait 6 months when I was completely healed for the doctor to examine and I could address my concerns with her then. I waiting until my 6 month follow up appointment and Dr [redacted] agreed that the banana roll was not done and that the outer thigh was not done high enough and said she completely understood why I was upset but said that she would not re-do the surgery. Since the surgery would not be redone I requested a refund. The doctor agreed that a refund was in order but said I would have to go through the Clinical Director. I sent several requests to [redacted] addressing my concerns and request for a refund. [redacted] called me on 2/5/15 and promised a refund based on the refund request I had sent in for $3717.00. She said her Accounting Department would mail it out by 2/13/2015. I received nothing from them, sent more emails and phone calls and now their response to my Revdex.com complaint is that no refund is due. A refund was promised and since the requested work was not done, or not completed based on the areas that were sold to me, a refund is clearly due to me.

Review: I filled out a refund request form on 11/11 at the Roseville office on Nov, 11, 2013. After several follow-up calls, still have not seen the refund.

On June 25th, I went to a consultation with [redacted] at the Physicians Skin and Weigh Centers in Roseville. I was told that for $4350.00 I could have the Lower Abdomen and Back/Waist done. [redacted] convinced me to finance $3000.00 of the procedure with [redacted] at 18%, and bring $1350.00 to the office prior to the procedure. I was then sent into another room for a "Pre-Op" procedure that consisted of a cardiogram. At the time, I was not told by the [redacted] or by [redacted] the Pre-Op nurse, that I would be charged $600.00 for the pre-op regardless of my decision. I was also not told that they would immediately charge my [redacted] account $3000.00 even though I had not done the procedure yet.

On that day, the company charged $3000.00 to my [redacted] account prior to the procedure. The procedure was scheduled to take place on July 26th. I contacted Physicians prior to the procedure to cancel due to unforeseen financial loss. I was told by [redacted] that there would be a $75.00 cancellation charge, and a $600.00 "Pre-Op" charge of which I only did half the pre-op. I never did the blood draw. I was also told that for the $3000.00 already charged to my credit account with [redacted] I could still do the Lower abdomen. I agreed to do the lower abdomen.

Due to my work schedule, I had to wait until November to do the procedure; all the while my [redacted] account was getting charged 18% interest on $3000.00.

On November 6th, I called to schedule the procedure, and was told that I would have to come in for another pre-op because it had been too long since the last one.

On November 11, I came to the Roseville office for the pre-op. In the room I was asked to strip down so they could take pictures of my body before the surgery. Then the Dr. came in and yelled at me to suck in my stomach; it was sucked in. I felt very humiliated.

After all of that, and another cardio, I was told that they could NOT do just the lower abdomen, and that I would have to pay an additional $1350.00 for the upper abdomen as well. I asked to speak to the initial consultant [redacted], and was told she was out of town on vacation.

At that point, I decided to cancel the procedure and filled out a request form for a refund. I was told that I would not get $600.00 of the $3000.00 back because of the pre-op. I only did half the pre-op.

On November 18th, I called the Folsom office and spoke to [redacted]. I asked her if I could speak to [redacted], the person in charge of the refund, and was told she was not there, and that [redacted] would give her my information.

On December 6th, I called the Folsom office because I still had not received the refund, and there was no answer. I called the Roseville office and spoke to Tera. Tera said that she would email [redacted], and the owners of the business regarding my refund and that I needed to speak to them. I received no call.

I am concerned that I will never see the refund, and have been very stressed out about this for far too long. I have also wasted a lot of time and money regarding this issue.

Desired Settlement: Because I was mislead from the beginning regarding the cost of the procedure, I am requesting a full refund of $3000.00. I am out of pocked the 18% interest of $3000.00 that was charged since June 25th. When I tried to cancel in July, I was told that I could still do the lower abdomen with the $3000.00, only to find out in November that they could not do just the lower abdomen. I should not be charged $600.00 for a pre-op when they only did half the pre-op.

Review: Paid cash in advance for cosmetic procedure. Procedure cancelled by company, 9:30 pm night before procedure. Company states refuses to refund.

In March 2013 I secured an appointment to have cosmetic surgery with Physician Skin and Weight Centers.

My procedure was scheduled for April 19th at 1pm. During the consultation appointment in March 2013 I paid cash for the procedures, as required by the company. I wrote a check for $6,673.00.

The check was cashed by the company on 3/20/2013. Included in the cosmetic procedure was a pre-op visit which involved an assessment by their Registered Nurse, and lab work. I took off from my job to complete the pre-op assessment on April 3 2013. My appointment was for 9 am and I did not get into see the Registered Nurse until 9:30 am.

On April 18th at 9:30pm I received a call from an employee of the company stating a physician was ill and they had to cancel my procedure.

On April 19th I contacted by phone Physician Skin and Weight Centers to ask for a refund. Due to my work schedule I would not be able to re-schedule for several months. The procedure would require me to request time off work plus include time to recover. The Consultation employee who originally set up my appointment was on maternity leave and therefore a new person eventually took my call. Many attempts were made by the employee to reschedule my appointment. I explained that I could not reschedule for several months and was requesting a refund in full. My request for a full refund is because I did not cancel the appointment.

After a half an hour of resistance to verbally grant me a refund I was told I would receive a form to fill out to request my refund.

I recieved the form on April XX XXXX, by email after several phone call requests. On April 26, 2013 I sent the form by mail to Physician Skin and Weight Centers.

In addition, the week of April 22, 2013, I called the Center and asked to speak with management. I was transferred to a "corporate office" number. I have made multiple calls to this corporate office to speak with [redacted] whom I am told handles the refunds. I have spoken with many receptionists, always a different person. I am told that [redacted] is not in, that she is not available, that I can not know her last name and that they do not know when she can return my call. I asked to have the address of the corporate office and to have the name of the owner of the company. I was told by a receptionist that it is private information.

I am very uncomfortable after this struggle to ever have any procedure done at this company for fear of retaliation.

Still as of May 19, 2013 I have not received my refund or been contacted by Physician Skin and Weight Centers.

I am requesting a full refund in the amount of $6,673.60 immediately. I am not including the time it cost me to drive to Roseville for the pre-op visit, or for the day off from work I took to have the procedure, or for the interest they are making on my money.Desired Settlement: I am asking for Physician Skin and Weight Centers to refund my money in the amount of $6,673.00, immediately.

I did not cancel the procedure nor does it need to be my concern why they cancelled the procedure.

At this time, I would feel very unsafe to ever have any procedure at any of their facilities due to this struggle to have my money returned to me.

Business' Initial Response

After speaking with my director, we would like to try "to save" this patient if at all possible. I have been directed to offer the patient an additional discount ($1,000) from her total sale amount. Additionally we will schedule her procedure immediately, as well as closely monitor the situation to make sure she is well taken care of.

I have contacted [redacted] today, in order to communicate this as well... I left her a vcml.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

No I would not accept the proposal for a discount. I was left a voice message from a [redacted] and have returned her call twice without speaking to her as of yet.

This communication is too late and their delayed response is an example of their business practice. Since their cancellation this person [redacted] has been unable to speak to me, that is not good business practice. I am not a patient that can "be saved". This is insulting to me.

As originally requested I want my full deposit returned to me, immediately. It has now been 4 months that this company has tied up my money of over $6,500.00. I am getting very inpatient.

Respectfully submitted, [redacted]

Business' Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

I have received the full refund of the check for the services I did not receive. I want to thank the Revdex.com for all their assistance because without your influence the company would not have reimbursed me. I have not deposited the check but I am hopeful that the check will be able to be cashed.

Thank you again.

Review: Requested refund on 7/16/2012. 1/30/2013 spoke to refund mgr she said she was working on it and would call the next day. Have not heard from her.

Following is copy of letter requested by [redacted] at Physicians.

On Jan 17, 2011 had a C02 procedure at Roseville. I am writing this to request a full refund.

My husband and I are seniors on a fixed income and so I gave having this procedure a great deal of thought and asked Linda [redacted] many questions. She assured me that your clients were extremely happy with their results including her aunt and that in some cases clients could look 10 years younger. I'm aware results can very.

Here begins my problem. I explained to Linda that I already had facial laser procedures done that had made no improvements what so ever. She asked where I had gone and when I had told her she said that she no longer worked for that company because of that reason. Afterward she showed me before and after photos which were impressive.

I finally had my procedure which I was told was aggressive , it was also very painful. After some time when my skin healed and the red went away I could see absolutely no change, nothing, neither could anyone else. At that point my husband and I went into see Linda. I told her how unhappy I was with the lack of results. We asked to see the before and after photos that had been taken. She could not find the photos taken before the procedure and asked us to come back the following week. She later cancelled the appointment because the photos could not be found. This was very disturbing to my husband and myself. After much discussion Linda made an appointment for me with the doctor to possibly schedule a second procedure at no charge.

When I went in to see the doctor she agreed on the second procedure but I could see a reluctancy about her and finally she looked at me and said "Lasers do not work on everyone and you would probably need a facelift." I was dumbfounded.

When I left the office shortly after it was assumed I would have another procedure but what was the point when the doctor herself was so pessimistic. My stomach was in knots. I could not leave fast enough. Why hadn't I been told this before, especially with my history? Shouldn't each client be evaluated individually.

This letter was addressed to [redacted] who requested it. She is no longer there. [redacted] is no longer there. Those were the original people I dealt with. When I call I am told I need to speak to [redacted], the refund manager, she is the only one who can handle this. But since she does not take my calls or call me back I have requested to speak to the person in charge who I was told is the "Director" but his identity is confidential. I have asked for him to call me back but he has not.

This procedure cost $2,640.00. Procedure was done 1/17/2011Desired Settlement: Full refund of $2,640.00

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

On January 17, 2011 I had a CO2 procedure at Physicians Skin & Weight Center in Roseville. On April 7, 2011 I went to see Linda [redacted] and told her that I saw NO improvement. My husband and I asked to see the pictures, they could not be found. She scheduled another appointment for May 6. On May 5 she called to cancel , the pictures still could not be found, almost one month later. These are the exact dates.

June 14, 2011 I saw the Doctor who said "lasers do not work on everyone and you probably need a facelift."

[redacted] says "Every patient responds differently to any treatment based on medical history, compliance, skin type and individual response to treatment." Isn't that what I have said. I was forth coming with my medical history and lack of results. But Physicians Skin and Weight Center was more interested in finances than "excellent customer service."

Business' Final Response

Patient was informed verbally and in writing of this no-guarantee procedure. She signed the document to that fact on 12/9/10. Additional complimentary/no cost treatments were offered in an effort to go above and beyond for this patient.

Patient is not qualified for a refund.

Review: I had a consult for liposuction in May of 2014 at the Roseville CA. location of Physicians Skin and Weight Centers . Based on an assessment by a consultant, I agreed to and paid for liposuction of four body sites. However, on the day of the procedure, the physician told me that he would not recommend liposuction of one of the body sites (outer thighs)because, in his opinion, there was not enough fat in that area to warrent the procedure. He told me that he would document this in my procedure record. The nurse assisting the physician assured me that as long as it was documented in my record that the physician recommended not having liposuction, I should have no problem getting a refund for the cost of liposuction to that body site. I emailed a completed refund request form to the Roseville office. After not getting a response, I called them. The office staff emailed the Communications & Customer Care Manager asking her to respond to me. She did not respond. I went to the office and requested to talk to the that manager or someone in authority. No one was available that day but the following day the Customer Care manager called me. She said I would have my refund check mailed to me by the end of May. She told me that they were very back-loggedwith refund requests. She also emailed me and told me the same thing: that I would receive my refund by the end of May. I have not received that refund. I emailed the to find out where the refund was but have not gotten a response. The initial refund request was made in Sept 2014 and it is now June 2015. What should I do now?Desired Settlement: I would like the refund check mailed to me as soon as possible. Communications & Customer Care Manager name is [redacted]. Her phone number is [redacted].Thank you so much

Review: I prepaid for a service, showed up to scheduled appointment and the physician opted not to perform procedure paid. I was told I would get a full refund. I have called over 100 times. Never received a call back or received paper work to start process. I have moved away from the location of the office. -I have emailed, called, left VM and yet to get any resolve. It has been over 2 years.Desired Settlement: Full refund as promised, since the physician opted not to proceed with scheduled procedure.

Review: My complaint is about them not refunding money they promised to refund, not about a health issue. My wife went to visit them on January 8, 2015 and got pressured into purchasing $5400 worth of plastic surgery. She dealt with [redacted], Clinic Manager. She had to prepay $2500 that day, $600 of which was for services that day and the rest was a deposit for surgery to take place on January 15. A few days later she decided not to have the surgery and told the office that she wanted a refund of at least the $1900. They told her it would take 8 weeks to get the money credited back to her credit card! We are now at 10+ weeks and four unreturned phone calls and still no refund! This is criminal behavior. No one should do business with this outfit. I spoke with [redacted] - the women who answers the phone there on April 10, 2015. She told me that [redacted] was not at her desk. I asked to speak to [redacted]'s manager. She refused to forward me to him or to give me his name. I told them that if I did not hear from them by end of day April 10, 2015 I would take them to court to get my money back. It is now 5:21PM April 10 and they have not called. I am putting in this complaint today with the Revdex.com and if I do not get a refund by April 15, 2015 I will begin a small claims court case against this unscrupulous business.Desired Settlement: An immediate refund of the $1900, credited back to my wife's credit card.

Response:

We apologize for the delay in issuing this refund. The payment has been processed, check mailed, and should be received no later than May 20th, 2015. I have also called our patient to verbally notify her of this. This matter is considered resolved. Thank you.[redacted]Customer Care ManagerPhysicians Skin & Weight Centers
