issue she reported, we did immediately offer to remedy the portion of the contracted services that she felt she could not utilizeWe never received a reply to that offerInstead, we received notice from our merchant account processor that the customer has requested a chargeback from her credit card provider for the entire amount paid to us ($1,672.60), notice from your office (where the disputed amount is listed as $1,100.00) and notice from authorities at the Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs Division.This individual came to our Fairfax location on March 19, for a free Consultation session during which we performed a professional Body Composition Analysis in order to determine what services that would best fit her needsShe was persuaded of her own accord from this analysis that she would benefit most from one of our comprehensive medical weight loss programsThese are designed to assist individuals lose more than pounds, reach a healthy weight/BMI range and acquire healthy lifestyle habits that keep the weight off for the long termThe Groupon voucher she held is not designed for this purposeAlthough we cannot provide evidence here, our records clearly show why the program she purchased was appropriate for her needs.Here is a summary of her interaction with our company:1) The customer chose to exchange her $Groupon voucher for a discount of $off the medical fee for a month comprehensive medical program; the total cost of her medical fee was reduced to $202.00.2) The customer received significant discounts off our regular prices for a comprehensive package including months of active weight loss/stabilization, months of maintenance and a vitamin therapy package.3) The customer provided her initials on an "investment sheet" demonstrating she was offered the option of utilizing a zero-percent financing option to pay for the services over the month period.4) The customer received an additional 5% off services PLUS more than $in FREE PRODUCT for choosing to provide payment in full on that day.5) The customer was provided with a clear outline of the value and cost of each service included in the comprehensive package.6) The customer signed a contract with Physicians Weight Loss Centers of Fairfax that contains very clear terms and a stated cancellation policy.7) The customer signed her initials acknowledging that she had: a) received and understood the payment and refund policy b) received a copy of her contract c) received the terms of our Written Guarantee d) received a "What to Expect" information handout8) The customer signed the credit card payment receipt for the program.9) The customer signed credit card receipts for the free product.10) The customer received initial medical screening in a timely manner including full blood work processed by *** ***, an Electrocardiogram and a review visit with our Center Physician.11) The customer received an interpretative analysis performed with our state-of-the art BioSpace InBody scale along with manual body measurements.12) The customer received pre-diet instruction and materials, nutritional counseling by trained diet coaches, weigh-ins, and proprietary multivitamins/minerals on multiple occasions.13) Progress notes record that customer chose to ignore the professional instructions, guidelines and diet information provided and was gaining weight instead of losing it.Notwithstanding the customer's decided refusal to follow instructions, when she notified us of her concern over taking one of the vitamins included in her package, the Center Manager met with her in person and offered to substitute the value of the vitamin therapy package with products of equal value, an offer that would typically be very useful to those following our diet programsThe customer did not give an answer at that time or call to respond after she left the premises.At this point the customer has tied our hands by requesting a chargeback through her credit card provider for the full amount of monies paid, notwithstanding the fact that the value of the vitamin therapy in question is less than 20% of the total value of the contracted purchaseWe have submitted all the necessary documentation and await the decision (please note that all of the receipts and paperwork listed above are on file but are not being submitted with this letter in order to protect the identity of the customer) If the funds are returned to us as they should be, we are open - as we have been from the beginning - to providing this customer with a partial refund for the discounted vitamin therapy she will not useHowever, under the contract terms she does not in any way qualify for general cancellation and, in fact, has never formally requested cancellationIf the chargeback is upheld by the credit card company for some unforeseen reason, our legal representative will be engaged to recuperate monies equal to the value of the other services she purchased under contract.SIncerely,Susan HM***

I paid over $to this company for months of weight loss services and I only used days worth. Now they only want to refund me less than $300. That is not right. I have attached documentation to rebut the statements that the company is making.

Hi! I am so EXCITED about this program! I visited the Raleigh center on Monday, July 18th, and met with [redacted] She was AWESOME and so patient with me as I asked numerous questions! I started the program on Wednesday, July 20th and loss 6 lbs on my first weigh in date of Saturday, July 23rd! :P I have tried different weight loss programs and centers previously, but PWLC is looking like the BEST one so far! First of all, The Staff at the Raleigh location are so supportive, motivating and friendly! Secondly, PWLC gives you incentives to make you want to loose weight without making excuses and this alone keeps me motivated to WIN!!!! As I began my weigh loss journey again, my self esteem was really low, cholesterol was high and overall appearance was not good. But after a few weeks of working with the Raleigh PWLC program and seeing my weight change, positive support from the staff and just my energy level, I have nothing but great things to say about this program. I am so excited and pumped up about my new way of eating and thinking about food, nothing can stop me now. It has been a wonderful journey and I'm looking forward to maintenance and continuing to refer others to join me as I promote better health and living a healthier life style. I did the program in 2002 and after life happens (baby, stress, divorce)..., I gained some of it back. PWLC does work! I lost over 30 lbs in 10 weeks and I have never felt better! If you want to be your best, invest in a trainer or an experienced professional that can assist you along your way. Your probably thinking this would be the perfect space where would I say, "I lost 100lbs and so can you" but hardly that's the easy part. Not only did I lose the weight, I became a part of a family. While on the program I had multiple family emergencies and PWL owners and staff called to check in on me, not for the program purposes but for my personal well-being. This type of customer service does not exist anymore. This has by far been my Best Experience in a long time.
