THIEF! Give me back my money!
I never intended to use your picsart gold! In fact, just because of the ads I accidentally clicked the trial version. I didn't bothered until I checked my bank account and they charged it. I asked for a refund on app store and it reflected but picsart never gave back what they deducted! GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY! PLEASE!
THIEF! Give me back my money!
THIEF! Give me back my money!

It is too early to file a “complaint,” but from it may be on the way soon - PicsArt is a fine app - it eats my phone battery and takes up exponentially more space than any other app on my phone, but it functions ok. I’m extremely disappointed in the way that they attain their customers - every time that you log in there are going to be a number of pop ups that ask you to get the “Premium” version of the app (I had it a long time ago, and I couldn’t validate spending that sort of money for it - a bit pricey for what it is). I was using the free app about a week ago, and I accidentally clicked one of the pop ups mentioned, and the next time I check my email I see that they have deducted $60 from my payPal account. They did not have my permission - they just took it upon themselves to take my money. I would Not be leaving this review, as I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but they have not responded to my request for a refund in almost a week (they will probably try to blame their terrible business practices on Covid-19 - if so, I don’t believe you..).

Every complaint in here has a response from PicsArt that says that things are out of their hands or beyond their control - it’s all Apple fault for making people’s money stay in our greedy hands, but In reality they ABSOLUTELY have control over whether or not a person is refunded. As I write this, my PayPal dispute reads, “Awaiting Other Parties Response”. Not looking too much like anyone but them is trying to make this thing not happen. We’ll see how long this lasts - they have 30 days, and my guess is that they’ll use every one of those just to irritate me. Thanks, PicsArt. Good app, really terrible way of treating people. You’re very thoughtful.

We did not intend to use the app, never get to use it at all and have uninstalled right same day I downloaded it. Now I received a notification from my account that $20 has been charged. And they cant seems to process any refund. Amid this pandemic the money is intended to pay my other bills.

I downloaded PicsArt to edit a few pictures and got an immediate pop up for a gold trial which froze on my app, I had my finger on the home button and kept clicking it to try and get to my home page, in the end I had to turn my phone off and on again. A few days later I saw £58.99 taken from my parents account and was angry, I never knew I had signed up for this. My family cannot afford to spend that much money especially during these times and I am devastated at the thought of my parents working so hard to then lose so much money just because of a complication. The content is not worth that much money and I would like a refund

Thank you for reporting and letting us know about this case.I see that the user purchased the PicsArt Subscription via App Store. I apologize if it was misleading or misunderstanding, but we do not have the authorization to charge for the subscription, cancel it or provide a refund from our side. Even purchases you make in our in-app store aren't directly made with us but handled by Apple (Appstore) and then they transfer the funds to us.This is why we have already contacted the user and kindly advised contacting Apple Support regarding the refundWith best regards

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

I‘ve subscribed for the Gold membership in PicsArt yesterday on March 20th and it showed me that I have 3 days trial and after that I’ll be charged yearly. On the next day, on March 21, I got charged $81.35. I just wanted to use it for a couple days to try it, but they charged me right away, it seems like a scam. I want to get a full refund!

I don’t want to use this app anymore because of that situation.

Hi!Thank for bringing this up to our attention!I have checked the user's subscription plan and it shows that before the purchase of the yearly subscription, which comes with a 3-day free trial, you already had a free trial 08.29.2018 - 09.01.2018.The free trial can be used only once, therefore, the subscription has been purchased right after the confirmation of the purchase. The reason why Ekaterina might have seen the free trial screen again, comes from iTunes store. When the application is removed, all the stored data, including the previously had trial gets removed as we do not have the authorization to store the data about our users if they remove the application. When installed again, the app recognizes the users a first time user which is why the free trial screen might pop-up. However, when the purchasing screen opens and it is time to confirm the purchase, the app tells that thee will be no free trial as the user has previously had a free trial. I apologize if it was misleading or misunderstanding, but we do not have the authorization to charge for the subscription, cancel it or provide a refund from our side. Even purchases made in our in-app store aren't directly made with us but handled by Apple (Appstore) and then they transfer the funds to us.This is why we kindly advised the user to contact Apple support considering the refund. With best regards

I received the free trial from this company. After I used it for couple of hours I deleted the app because I didn't have enough storage. this is the third day of my trial and I was about the cancel the subscribtion. But I recieved an email about the 229,99 try patment. My free trial hasn't ended up yet. Payment should have been taken 5 hours later than that. I demand a refund.

Hello!

Thank you very much for reporting this case!

I can see that Aybeniz *** subscription has already been refunded by Apple. I want to assure you that the purchasing process is done completely automatically. How it works is that the system activates the plan that was selected during the free trial process. The free trial is auto-renewal and cannot be activated without the initial confirmation of the user.

The fact about the free trial rolling over to the paid subscription at the end of the trial was noted on the pop-up that you confirmed when subscribing to the 3-day trial. You also received an email from the Store with start and end dates of your free trial period.

With best regards

I used the free 3 day trial and tired to close my subscription before I got charged but I still got charged $59 dollars to my bank account. I’ve sent multiple emails and tried to call the company a bunch of times and I’ve gotten no answer. I would like my account cancelled and my money back, I didn’t edit any photos I haven’t even touched the app.

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this case!I checked the subscription information of the user Elizabeth Palmer and these is what we have:The free trial started on 2020-01-17 at 01:29 GMTFree trial ended and subscription activated on 2020-01-20 at 03:26 GMTSubscription cancelled on 2020-01-20 at 19:16 GMT

The purchasing process is done completely automatically. The system activates the plan that was selected during the free trial process which means that the free trial is auto-renewal and cannot be activated without the initial confirmation of the user. The application shows two pop-up notification indicating that the subscription will automatically renew right after the free trial if it is not cancelled within the 72 hours of the trial. Once confirming the trial, Google sends another email notification that states that the automatic renewal of the subscription is not cancelled.

According to our terms and conditions, the subscription is refundable if the user requests the refund within 48 hours of the purchase. The subscription plan *** is non refundable as we received the refund request on 16th of February which exceeds the 48h after the purchase.

Best regards

I signed up for a three day trial of an app. The agreement stated that they would send an email reminder before the three days were up. They did not send the reminder, and when I tried to cancel at the end of the trial period, they charged my credit card for a full year subscription of $55.99. I did not even have an option to choose the monthly membership that they had advertised.
On their Google Play page, there are hundreds of others complaining of this same practice, and/or that the app just doesn't work at all. I read 1-star reviews for 2 hours and those were only from the last 2 months! I would like to cancel & get my money back, or at least be charged for only 1 month, as I have already uninstalled the app.
I disputed the charge with Paypal, but they said I didn't provide enough proof that I had not agreed to these terms. Apparently, some of the promises they made are only visible after you start the process of accepting the "free" trial & I didn't want to get caught in that trsp again!

According to the date and time provided in the previous response, the subscription was canceled 16 hours after the 3-day trial ended and the subscription activated.

The purchasing process is done completely automatically. How it works is that the system activates the plan that was selected during the free trial process. The free trial is auto-renewal and cannot be activated without the initial confirmation of the user. The reason why the Gold renewed to the yearly subscription plan after the trial, is that the user selected the free trial which was offered for the yearly subscription plan and not for monthly.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

Elizabeth

I was on the PicsArt app when it froze on the subscription page. I hit the back button and closed the app, no problem. I check my email today...3 days later and saw I was charged an annual subscription. This dev puts pop ups right when you are tryingto navigate the app and this one happened to catch and freeze. I am MORTIFIED! Not at the error because glitches happen, but because they are saying no returns are allowed. The developer can look at my usage and see I did not use any of the service that I was charged for. Because I had no idea I was even subscribed. I don't want this. I DON'T NEED THIS. I WANT A REFUND of $55.99

Was mislead about pricing of app (was told it would be 4.99/month) but was charged $59 for full year. I cancelled the subscription right away, but was told I cannot receive a refund?

Picsart Response • Oct 11, 2019

Dear ***Thank you for reaching out and letting us know of this situation! I see that the subscription was purchased PicsArt Subscription via App Store. For any refund-related questions, the user should contact Apple Support as they are the ones to handle purchases made through them. Purchases that are made aren't directly made with us but handled by Apple (Appstore) and then they transfer the funds to us.With best regards

I have requested for a refund within the company's timeframe, and they are refusing to give me a refund. I do not understand the app and canceled the subscription. How can I pay for something that I do not understand. I have no want or need to use additional tutorials.

Picsart Response • Sep 12, 2019

Dear ***,Thank you very much for letting us know about this situation. I have reviewed the refund request case and it turns out that a misunderstanding has taken place. *** has purchased the subscription plan from iTunes. Since Apple is monitoring the whole purchasing process, it is technically impossible for us to provide a refund for any iTunes purchase. In case of iTunes purchases, we do not have the authorization to charge for the subscription, cancel it or provide a refund from our side. Those purchases aren't directly made with us but handled by Apple (Appstore) and then the store transfers the funds to us.Which is why we kindly advised *** to contact Apple support considering the refund. With best regards

I signed up for this company's free trial period on their app and had canceled it on the last day of the free trial (prior to the period ending) . I was still charged $60 CAD I contacted the company 3 times about issuing a refund and they are refusing.According to a gentlemen named Narek I did cancel it on the same day but not by the right time? 2019-07-22T03:46:37 and I canceled it on 2019-07-22T13:07:57. This is unheard of and extremely poor business practice.

Picsart Response • Jul 29, 2019

Dear ***,

Thank you for contacting us and letting us know of this situation. I have double-checked *** conversation with our support agent and I have also checked the subscription information. According to the information that we have, the subscription plan has renewed because it has not been cancelled within the free trial. We show two pop-up notifications within the app considering the auto-renewal of the subscription before our users confirm the free trial. As we care about our users and we understand that they might not pay attention to the pop-ups, Google sends an Email to the Google account owner's email with the information about the subscription plan and the automatic renewal.
However, we can see that it was not the user's intention to purchase the subscription plan, and we have decided to issue a refund.

With kind regards

Signed up for a “7” day free trial. Was billed for a $50+ annual subscription after 3 days. There is a “no refund” policy even though I cancelled on the 3rd day. It seems others have had this problem as well.

SCAMMED just like the other reviewers. BUYER BEWARE...they used to be a reputable app but I got charged $59 out of nowhere. I am part of a large community that relies on apps like this and I am going to spread the word

This app is a scam because they are stealing people’s money and getting away with it. They charged me $60 without my consent and they’re doing it to loads of people. You have to search for these reviews in the App Store because they hide them but if you go to “most critical” you’ll see they’re stealing money and not providing refunds. Person after person states this is happening to them. I screenshot 77 people who were unethically charged without their consent in reviews just dating back to May 20th, 2019. You also can’t cancel your subscription in the apple subscriptions page even though their app states you can. They’re the only app I’ve seen that has done this, obviously on purpose to scam people even more. Their business policy is that they offer absolutely no refunds. How is this legal? How are they allowed to continue having this business? I want them to personally refund the money they stole, money I never agreed to pay in the first place.

Hello,Thank you for forwarding this case to us.We are truly sad to see that the customer feels this way. The customer has touched several topics such as the automatic renewal of the subscription plan about which we warn our users with two pop-ups and an email notification before the renovation, removal of the reviews from AppStore, Cancellation issue from iOS device settings, and finally no-refund policy.Firstly, I would like to assure you that the application shows two pop-up notifications where the user is warned about the automatic renewal of the subscription plan, the date and the amount and is also mentioned that no refund is available if the subscription is not cancelled within the trial. Afterwards, once the free trial signs up are confirmed, the store (Apple) sends an email notification to the Store account owner's email address with the confirmation of the trial and includes all the important information about the automatic renewal and no-refund policy. It is technically impossible to activate the free trial without the confirmation of the user.Secondly, absolutely no single review has ever been removed by our company considering the feedback of our users because we do not hide any information from our users and also because PicsArt does not have full access to the iTunes Store, which means that it is also technically impossible for us to remove any review from the AppStore.Thirdly, The subscription plan is attached to the Apple ID since the purchase is made from AppStore. We are the app developer and Apple is the Store from which the user purchases the subscription plan. Therefore, the cancellation is made from the iOS device and Apple ID settings which cannot be controlled or blocked by PicsArt.Finally, we have a no-refund policy and we make sure that our users are notified about it before making the purchase, however, considering the iOS subscriptions, all the monetary transactions and the purchasing process is fully monitored by Apple, which means that even if our policy was not no-refund policy, we would have not been able to provide a refund from our side because the purchase is made through AppStore and Apple transfers the funds to us afterwards. With best regards

Watch out for this company. When you download their mobile app, you agree to purchasing it on the third day.
You are supposed to cancel your subscription BEFORE the third day or you will most certainly be charged a $50+ fee.
I canceled on the third day, but it was 4 minutes after they drafted money from my bank account. I reached out to customer service in every method I could find and customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced.
They refused again and again to give me a refund despite me canceling subscription on the third day.
There was no warning, just an email receipt that stated what I had been charged.
Also, there is no phone number whatsoever to contact someone and speak directly. All communication is through email or *** messenger, and every response is nearly 24 hours apart, no matter how quickly you reply.
I still never received a refund and am stuck with an app I have no desire to use.

I downloaded this app, a couple days later I started to set up an account - in the process I realized it would cost money to use the app - so I stopped and deleted the app. I never completed account set up, never verified my email, etc. I was charged $55 from this app! It over-drafted my account. I need this money refunded in full. When I went to contact them about this issue - it wouldn’t let me send a message unless I provided a username which I don’t have!

Picsart Response • May 14, 2019

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know of this situation.

The user has contacted us through the email ***, but has never replied to our email, therefore we have no information of her subscription plan because no username or purchase order number was provided.

We will be contacting the user again and ask for details.

With kind regards

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Don't download unless you want to be ripped off $50.
Their customer service is TERRIBLE.

I received the free trial from this company. After trying the product for a day I decided it would not be beneficial to me and I attempted multiple times to cancel it prior to the end of the trial. Now they say that the cancellation went through after the date the trial ended and they charged my card and will not refund. This company is scamming people. I submitted the cancellation several times and it magically processes after the date the trial ends. Terrible customer service and terrible business ethics to steal from people.

Picsart Response • Apr 30, 2019

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know about this case.

We have investigated the case that you have sent and this is the information that we were able to discover considering the user with GPA.*** Order number.

The free trial has started on 2019-04-10 at 15:15 GMT

The free trial ended and the subscription has been renewed on 2019-04-13 at 15:15 GMT

The subscription has been cancelled after the purchase on 2019-04-13 at 15:15 GMT

The free trial lasts 3 days which is 72 hours. The subscription plan does not automatically renew if has been cancelled within 72 hours. Nevertheless, if the subscription plan is cancelled after the completion of 72 hours and after the purchase has taken place, it is considered as a purchase of the product. Therefore, we are unable to provide a refund since according to our Terms and Conditions, the in-app purchases are non-refundable.

I completely understand your concern regarding this situation, but I would like to assure you that our users are always notified about the automatic renewal of the subscription plan before they confirm that beginning of the 3-day free trial. The reason the user with GPA.*** Order number has been charged, is because the subscription plan has not been cancelled before the purchase date.

Best Regards.

I did not make a purchase through this app but feel that this is an appropriate place to leave a review. Picsart stole my photo of my home and is marketing it on the app as free. I did not agree to this.
