Mr. [redacted] called [redacted] Network directly instead of calling us.  Some customers have difficulty working their TV's when they first get Satellite, that is probably why [redacted] Network had Mr [redacted] go through some troubleshooting over the phone.  When they felt it was not user error, they scheduled...

a service call for us to go out and check his system.  We went out this past Monday and fixed the issue.  I will call Mr. [redacted] and make sure he has our contact information to call us directly in the future.

I do not show any calls from the phone # of [redacted].  Please let me know what phone # calls were placed from

I'm the Manager of Mesa Shadows Mobile Home Community, Mesa, Az.

We are a 55+ Community.

We have signs on our entrance that says "No Soliciting" ... But Plant Earth Satellite

Does not think that sign applies to them...Plant Earth Satellite comes in and solicits their flyers to my residents door. This must STOP!

Plant Earth Satellite needs to educate their Solicitors, the meaning of "NO SOLICITING"

[redacted] account was shut off in December, but not until after the December charge already hit her account.  I have since credited her account 6 months of charges.  [redacted] spoke to the customer and I believe she is happy now.

Review: Six months ago we moved and cancelled [redacted]. We contacted Planet Earth satellite, whom we had our maintenance fees with, to discontinue charging us as we were not longer with [redacted]. Spoke to [redacted]l the Manager and he said he would take care of it. For three months we continued to get billed. I called again and spoke to a gentleman named [redacted], because [redacted] was not in. He looked up my account and said he would be sure to talk to the manager and have it taken care of. At that time I also, sent an email to tom@dishdirectaz which is listed on their website. I got not response. I was charged again the next month, DECEMBER. I called on the 22 and spoke to [redacted] again. He apologized and said the manager was vacation till the 29th but he had my info and promised this time to follow through and get it cancelled. He would call me on the 29th and let me know it was done. I never heard, so called again on Jan 5th. [redacted] said he had turned it in and his manager was not in he had left that morning, but he would take of it and call me back. Never heard. So I called again the afternoon of Jan 6th. Today. I spoke to [redacted] the Manager, he was curt on the phone. Did not care to discuss the issue. He was rude, cut me off and said, I am taking care of it and hung up on me. I have had it with this company. I do not want others to have to go through this. This is not the first time. When we first signed up with them, I was being double billed, once from Dish and once from them for the same service. It took nearly a year to get them to follow through stop [redacted] from charging me. [redacted], the Manager, promised me a 6 month credit, I never received. I had hoped he would offer me a credit for these 6 months, but I was disregard, seen as a bother and he didn't even want to talk to me. This company is all over you and call you back, and sweet talk you on the sales side. But once they start charging you, you cannot get them to stop, or worse get hold of anyone who has the authority to do so. There hours are not as listed on their website. I call often and get no answering machine, no answer, just constant ringing.Desired Settlement: A sincere apology and credit card credit for six months maintenance service fees.

Review: (1) The sales representative ([redacted]) assured me that installation of the Genie DVR feature was free, including no monthly service charges for that feature. The taped phone conversation will prove I asked him twice if he was sure about no monthly service charges, and he explicitly said there were none, and encouraged me to install a recorder in the bedroom too. (2) Manager Wm Watkins agreed to put a 'referral' on my account on 3/8/13, whereby [redacted] gave a $10/month discount for 10 months, starting 4/6/13, to compensate for the misrepresentation. I was instructed to call them in December 2013 to do another referral for the 2nd year of the contract. (3) On 12/3/13, [redacted] assured me on the phone he would submit to [redacted] for the second referral credit. HE LIED, and [redacted] has no record of that being done. My [redacted] went from $41.95 in 2013 to $76.94/month in 2014.Desired Settlement: I feel Planet Earth Satellite is costing me $10/month for the next 10 months because of their misrepresentation of the charges I would incur for TV service from [redacted]. They have not honored the promise of crediting me with a referral; they should certainly refund $100 to me - charges I would not have incurred if they had not lied.

Business

Response:

We received Mrs [redacted]'s phone call in December and immediately attached a referral to her account. It can take up to 30 days to receive her credits but I verified with [redacted] that she is indeed receiving her credits.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. [redacted] staff failed to find the referral credit when I inquired in February, leading me to believe it was not submitted in December.

Review: I contacted Planet Earth Satellite salesmen [redacted] off of a flyer they distributed in my neighborhood. I was in the market for Satellite service. The flyer clearly reads Free Installation, Free equipment, Free High Definition for life. It mentions again in their ad three times, you will receive free professional installation. I was told price was $60 a month first year then goes up to $114 after first year. This deal is with DISH. I agreed and had them install system. When the tech was done he had me sign a contract that included a $50 payment to Planet Earth for a SET UP FEE! I questioned that and the tech said if you have a problem with that, just call them they are great to deal with. I called [redacted] and expressed my objection regarding $50 I was never told about. He stated no big deal we record all of our calls and I will confirm if I told you...or not. If not, no big deal we will gladly refund. A week goes by and I call again and he tells me the same thing. Another week goes by I call and never get a return call.Desired Settlement: If they play a tape with me being told about the $50 charge and me agreeing to pay it, I of course will honor my obligation. I don't think such an agreement exists. I was never told. I would have gone directly to Dish and saved the $50 I paid to Planet Earth for nothing, as far as I'm concerned. They mislead me in their advertisement for FREE everything then stuck me with a surprise $50 charge on my card. They seem to have worded it correctly....a Set Up Fee, they set me up alright!

Review: Planet installed a TV sat. cable thru a wall which was servicable when they started. The tenent who ordered service spoke to the company president, [redacted] several times, and she was assured of prompt payment to the electrical contractor

that had to fix the electric connection in the modular home she had just rented on Feb 1st. Both tenent and landlady have pursued this person with faxes and phone calls several times. No one has called either one of us and no one has

contacted the electrical contractor, who is still billing monthly the landlady for the full amount. It was a lengthy process, because all the wires in the wall had to be checked and under the house. The main switch under the house had been pulled apart, and was the last thing checked by the electrical worker. Although this is difficult to see why this switch

was disengaged, several people conversant with the housing specs in this [redacted] have said not to disturb the wall wiring

in certain places, because of its being impacted in the wall. I don't think the landlady, myself is responsible for the damage and that the persons who installed the wire to the dish, should be held liable. However, since no one has had the courtesy to phone or email me about this, I don't even know if Planet is liable, or if there is a subsidiery company

in San Diego County who does their installations for them.Desired Settlement: The electrical contractor who sends the invoice for the repair should be contacted and the bill should be paid. Or, if there

is some other subsideary company who is responsible, they should be cntacted by Planet and asked to contact the

contractor and pay him, if necessary.

Business

Response:

I contacted the contractor who did the installation and they asked us to send payment to the customer and they would reimburse us. I sent the customer a check yesterday. She was contacted to let let her know payment was on its way. I appologize for the time delay, we thought the contractor had already taken care of this.

Review: Planet Earth Satellite hooked us up with [redacted] TV It has not been working for 2 days June 11,12, and now the 13th

We called [redacted] and they treated us like we had no common sense. this same outage has happened several times since getting [redacted]. Before we could call in and get a person who got it working again. I don't like paying for this kind of service. you will notice I have not used any nasty words even though I felt them.Desired Settlement: I want to speak with the nice guy who talked to me about this service he sound like a great guy. The people at [redacted] are not the same kind of person.

It sure seems I am going to have to make a change in TV service, about all [redacted] has on is Paid programing day and night all the same old crud. Not worth the cost.

My name is michael, I responded for add on Craigslist for employment to Planet Earth Satellite for commission only, After agreeing to work for this company. I was using my personal vehicle, cell phone and out of pocket expenses for gas which was $500 dollars a month. It started out Ok and then as time went on every week Tom was looking for reasons not to pay me. For some reason when I set up a new costumer they were not getting set up so I wasn't getting paid. Because the installers wouldn't show up at the job. I advice nobody to go work for this company, they would not see there last check. There is absolutely no stability with this company as an employee, my best advice to you if you when it comes to Planet Earth is to keep it moving, as find another provider.

There have been 3 times I have called to get help with a problem we were having with TV reception and each time I was told they would call and set up appointment. They never did. On the 3rd such incident I cancelled their service. I would not recommend.

people watch out for this company. they say they will stand up for you when you have an issue with your account with dish or direct tv when you call them they wont even answer your question they send you to direct tv or dish and wont even speck to you. not a good way to run a company. thanks for screwing us over

This company is bogus. They lye and don't give you exact information over the phone , they sale [redacted] and [redacted] and claim to charge a "processing fee" when [redacted] and [redacted] don't even charge that. They charged me $49.99 after the installer was here and they hire these guys to install your tv that don't even know English. I am fed up with this company I tried to call and cancel and they said it would cost me $480 to cancel . So upset just go through [redacted] or [redacted] tv for sales and you will save yourself more money. Don't buy from this scandalous company

Awesome customer service, very helpful staff. Installer went above and beyond to help us understand our new hopper system and even left a channel guide for us!! When you call in for help on any issue they are quick to respond, I was tired of talking to a computer system with other companies and was glad I finally got to speak to a person 1 on 1. 2 THUMBS UP!

I have owned 12 different homes in 9 different states and have had either cable, Dish or DirecTV in each of them. I want to let you know that my installer today, Rick Marquis, was the best installer I have ever had. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was also very efficient with the install. He also took the time to clean up the mess that DirecTV had left. This was the neatest and most professional installation I have ever experienced. Rick also made sure I was fully educated with the system before he departed. Please be sure that my appreciation for his outstanding work is passed on.

I was having trouble as a new customer with the cable hookup. After trying 3 times with 3 different techs and several phone calls and switching 3 cable boxes, the problem was not solved and it was claimed by the company that the TV was at fault. I cancelled my contract.

I then called Planet Earth Satellite out of Tempe Arizona and spoke to customer rep.

James telling him of my problem. He immediately scheduled a tech. for that afternoon.

The Tech, Luis, arrived at 3P.M. He installed a Direct TV dish, rewired the hook up,explained that the original hookup was incorrect and had the TV working in 2 hours !

James offered me a special promotion and has called back to ask me how the TV was working. It works exceedingly well and the original problem has been solved .l highly recommend Planet Earth Satellite. The tech was very professional and skilled and James has been extremely helpful.

SCAM ARTISTS!!! Long story short, they didn't tell me any of the details about what I was signing up for until they had my money and then I had to fight for the $100 gift card they advertised in the first place. Totally unprofessional scam artists.
The details: I received a box of "gift cards" on my doorstep when I bought my new house and inside I found a $100 gift card offer from this company if I go through them to start cable/internet/phone services. The salesman, [redacted], didn't tell me ANY of the details about what he was signing me up for. I was just told that I could get faster internet and more cable channels if I went with [redacted] and [redacted] instead of [redacted] which I had literally started only hours earlier and was scheduled to be installed the next day. I wasn't told about the two year contract with [redacted], or that the bill nearly doubles after the first year, or the "one time fees" that came up multiple times. They neglected to tell me SO many things! They told me that after two weeks of service I send in the card I received for the $100 gift card. After 3 weeks I hadn't heard anything so I called and was told that "the owner was out of town" and he'd have to check on it when he got back. Several weeks later after hounding them I received a $50 check in the mail with a post it note saying that because I only got internet and cable I was only eligible for $50 instead of $100. I had to call them and rip into them about how they NEVER said anything about it only being $50 for two services...When I requested a copy of the phone call that they supposedly listened to and were certain that they had informed me, I finally got a phone call back and they changed their story and because I demanded the full amount they have supposedly sent me the rest of the money. It's been a nightmare and if it wasn't for me going after them they wouldn't have followed through with anything. It's been two months and I am still waiting on this gift card...

I have a "do not solicit" sign in my front yard and on my front door. I called Planet Earth Satellite and when I cited my concerns the man that answered hung up. Rude and uncaring.

This type of business people enjoy blaming the solicitation companies and just don't care. My concern is that if I'm not home for several days, this is a notification that I'm not home and an easy target for a break-in.

Why do we have laws if businesses that don't care continue to ignore potential customers wishes?

Review: Charged of $49.99 that was never discussed. Calls and email to this company were not returned. I am a new customer with Direct TV. When I called Direct TV, they knew nothing about this charge. Very deceptive.Desired Settlement: Issue credit for charge.

Business

Response:

Mr. [redacted], I listened to the call in its entirety and Amy indeed did not talk about the $49.99 set-up fee. I apologize for any inconvenience and will issue a credit of $49.99 today. As you may know, Amy is a new salesperson and was quite nervous on your call, as you were her first sale! We are putting her through some more training to alleviate any further issues. Thank you for bring this to our attention.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

J[redacted]

This business is using terrible advertising tactics. They put a piece of paper in my mailbox that had no address or stamp on it. My mailbox is adjacent to my house, and I do not appreciate a stranger coming so close to my house and opening my mailbox. My mailbox was left open on a rainy day as a result. The business shows poor business skills if they aren't willing to pay postage for their advertising. I called the number on the (tacky) flyer to complain and the man who answered just laughed at me.
