My wife responded to the promotions for $1 down and $10/mo. However, when she went in she was up-sold to the "Black Card" that is $23/mo. She was up-sold by the staff there on the benefits of a certain machine (Total Body Enhancement) that was eligible only to Black Card members, but was not given adequate information about the risks of the machine prior to having to make a decision. When she came home and researched the machine, she discovered that due to her health conditions, she is unable to use the machine and will not receive ANY benefit from the Black Card. Five days later (today), I went in to downgrade her plan to the basic membership at $10/mo and to get a refund on the first month, which had already been charged at the $23 amount. The manager Antonio *** refused to provide a refund of the difference, even though it had only been 5 days, she had NEVER used the upgraded services, and she will never be ABLE to use the machine she was sold on. Any good customer service would do what they can to make it right: offer a credit, a partial refund, or even some one-time perk to say they are sorry for the misunderstanding they facilitated. But the manager adamantly refused to do ANYTHING about the extra $13 in charges.
