[Your Answer Here]

Plated.com is in violation of US and New York State law, both of which require a functional unsubscribe link in unsolicited email. My complaint requests specifically that the Revdex.com enforce this requirement so that, rather than  "removing this address", Plated.com provide the link I need to be sure the problem  email address actually gets unsubscribed. The Why doesn't Plated.com's unsibscribe link work?

I had been initially offered free boxed of meals by Plated and had to give my credit card number to do so. We received our first box and then I was notified that I'd be charged for the next and cancelled my subscription. Nothing came the following week which led me to believe it had in fact been cancelled. Then. The next week came & I unfortunately had to be admitted not the hospital for 2 chronic conditions I suffer from. I'd been charged unknowingly $72 and another box arrived in my absence. 5 days later when I was released from the hospital, I found the box sitting on my porch, & saw that actually $144 had been charged to my credit card. I was being charged for yet again another box. I contacted the business who did in fact vouch for the fact that they had received my initial cancellation. And yet they stated that they'd only refund me for 1 of the 2 boxes. They also claimed that it would process in 3-5 business days. It's now been 7 business days and my refund has not been received! Plated scammed me and inappropriately charged $144 even though I cancelled and I'm extremely dissatisfied! Do NOT order from this company. They are total scammers.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have responded to the business, multiple times, and have had hit or miss responses back. At one point, after going back and forth for at least a week, I attached a screenshot of the website error I was receiving and said that if they can't figure out what was wrong, that I'd like a refund. I responded 2 times without receiving any communication back from Plated about getting a refund. It's awfully convenient for them to respond now that I have exceeded the 90 day transaction rule they have. I have copies of all emails sent and received back from the business if proof is needed.

Review: I signed up as a new user on plated.com with the plan to use a gilt voucher. At that time I signed up and I placed an order using the voucher. I then checked my email and I saw two order confirmations-- one for the charge of $72 dollars and one with no charge bc it credited my voucher. I immediately tried to call plated but there was no answer so then I emailed them to cancel one charge. I then got an email the next day stating it was too late and they would only credit me the $72 and could not refund me. I asked that they refund me and I obviously did not want to order the meals back to back of the same thing. I did not receive a response and instead received two orders two days apart. I suspect that when I signed up as a new user it charged me automatically. When I called to have this refunded they refused thus forcing me to have to use their service again in order to get my $72 back. I have filed a dispute with my cc company. I cannot return this product as it is perishable food. I feel that this is poor practice and a ploy to force patrons to come back as their website is confusing. Now that I look back more carefully at the website there is one small line at the very top thatDesired Settlement: Refund me $72, change your policy and make your webiste clear for voucher holders who have already paid.

Review: Have tried on multiple occasions to cancel my subscription, product is being sent and am I being billed for items never ordered and sent over 10 days past the cancellation request.

Subsequently upon sending another request to cancel I was sent a link to complete my cancellation, and the provided link offers no method to cancel service either.Desired Settlement: I would like my service cancelled and to be refunded all charges billed after the initial cancellation request was made.

Response:

Customer contacted us on 1/*/2015 and we have refunded him his purchase amount and canceled his membership per his request on 1/*/2015.

Review: My wife signed up for the service using a gift certificate. We received one shipment and were unimpressed planning to cancel. They "claim" that they send a reminder e-mail on 1/** with a default menu choice; it was never received. Today we received a notice that our next order had shipped. We immediately called to cancel everything and were told that it was too bad, they had already billed us $48 (we had a $6 credit left over from the gift certificate) for the shipment and they would cancel going forward. They offered an account credit good for a future shipment but since we were unimpressed with their first shipment we are not interested. I requested a credit card refund and was told that was impossible. I requested a supervisor and received the same story. I requested a senor level contact and was told that was also impossible. I said I would refuse the shipment but they were not interested in getting it back.Desired Settlement: A credit card credit for the shipment.

Dear [redacted]:

Yep! Classic story! My well intentioned children purchased a subscription to this SCAM service as a GIFT. Before I could access my GIFT, I had to provide MY credit card info to obtain items already PAID for by my children. The SNARKY attitude of representatives conveys a "We got your Money, So TOUGH" suck it up OR sue us" attitude...Guess what? I'm going to SPEND the money and go after these CREEPS!
