Review: I ordered items from http://platesandnapkins.com and I did not receive all the items ordered. I also received items that were not of the color that was indicated on the website. I have tried to call them and the numbers that are published are disconnected. I attempted to contact them via e-mail on 4 occasions and they have not responded.

I have contacted paypal and disputed my payment with them since they will not respond back to me.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund.

Review: Ordered on April 22, 2013 and they never shipped out my items. They have 3 listed numbers: 2 of them are no longer in service and one has a full message box with no way to leave a message. Wrote twice with no response from them. They appeared to take my money and run. My party is in 2 days and I have to go try and get my items elsewhere. It wasn't until I did some research on the company that I found out that others have been scammed, too! Buyer beware!!Desired Settlement: I would like my $72.52 refunded.

Response:

This customer placed an order on 4/22. Our policy CLEARLY STATES that it can take 3-5 days to just process an order (shipping time is on top of that). We also ask for an event date (if there is a rush or a certain time frame) so that we can make necessary changes if needed (we did not get one). Also take into account that we've been closed for the last week as we've been moving (website and phone message clearly stated that). In our opinion, this customer didn't read or fully understand our policies, and wasn't aware that we've been closed for the last week (moving). We apologize for this customer's inconvenience and have already processed their refund.

Review: I have placed two orders with this company via their website, the first on 9/15/2013 and the second on 10/06/2013. Both orders were time-sensitive, since they were to be used at a celebration at our house. We did not receive either order. I contacted the company, both before our event, urging that the orders be shipped on time, and after the event had passed, asking for refunds to be credited to us. Our requests have been ignored. We are still trying to get the billings reversed, but the company is simply not responding.Desired Settlement: We wish to have our CHASE VISA account (the first order, made on 9/15) credited for $21.85, and our Sound Credit Union VISA account (second order, made on 10/16) credited for $30.80.

Review: They charged me for an item that I had ordered but was never sent because they didn't have it in stock. Have been emailing since may about my refund of $2.25 and I get no responseDesired Settlement: Refund of my $2.25

Review: I placed an order on 3/23/14 and was told the product would ship in 1-4 days. I have not received the product, so I contacted customer service and have not had a response. Upon looking further into the business, it appears as though this shop is no longer in business, yet is still collecting orders and payment. Many others describe similar situations on the shop's Facebook page, complaining of never receiving an order.Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: Place Order # [redacted] with PlatesandNapkins. com for $65.00 on October 222,013. Have not received promised refund . Plates and Napkins promised to apply a $65.00 refund in December 2013.Desired Settlement: credit card credit for $65.00

Review: I had placed an order off of plates & napkins online. A month later I received the Cutlery, Straws, & Balloons, but was never sent $218.88 worth of product I was charged for in plates and napkins. Then after trying to reach out to the customer service department on numerous occasions including leaving voicemails, sending a Facebook message, and sending countless e-mails someone connected me to [redacted] in the Customer Service Department. She was very kind and sent me the plates and napkins, but she only sent me HALF of the order; therefore, I am still missing two cases worth of plates and napkins for my Bridal Shower. She reported that after reviewing my order, she agreed, and the second shipment would be sent out the week of March 21, 2013. I e-mailed her back on April 7, 2013 and she did not answer me back.Desired Settlement: I had order TWO cases of the Grandiflora Rose 10 inch Square Plates and the Grandiflora Rose 7 inch Square Plates. I received one case of each. All I would like is the second case of each to be sent--since I have PAID for this product already in JANUARY. Each CASE contains 6 sets of plates. Ordered: 2 Shipping: 2 CASE_DD627-05973 CASE of Grandiflora Rose 10 inch Square Plates $28.56 Ordered: 2 Shipping: 2 CASE_DD630-05973 CASE of Grandiflora Rose 7 inch Square Plates $23.76

After learning of the customer's situation, we immediately responded and got her the missing products that she never received. To our knowledge the customer is satisfied with the solution.

Review: I placed an order (#[redacted]) on platesandnapkins.com on June 5, 2013. The total of the order was $45.15 ($36.65 for products plus $8.50 for shipping.) I received an e-mail from the company confirming my order on June 6, 2013. On June 7, I received another e-mail from the company saying that my order was about to ship, and my credit card was charged for the purchase. Since that day, I have not heard from the company (today is June 19th) and have not been able to reach them via phone, e-mail, or their "customer service" portal on their website. When trying to contact them by phone, two out of the three phone numbers I found for them (on their e-mails and my order confirmation) were not in service, and the third just resulted in an answering service saying they were "busy assisting other customers." When I tried their one working phone number (###-###-####) again this morning, all I received was a recorded message saying their mailbox was full and could not receive any more messages. I submitted another customer service request form via their website this morning to please cancel my order and issue a refund. I have also contacted my bank to dispute the charge to my credit card and have requested a new card be issued. My bank suggested also filing this complaint with you. I have also done some searching on the internet and found similar complaints about this business/website.Just as I was preparing this complaint, I finally received an e-mail back from their "customer service" apologizing for the delay and explaining that their service was down yesterday. They said they could ship the order today with delivery guaranteed by June 21st and asked if they could still send it. I replied with a "no thank you", stating that I had already purchased supplies elsewhere due to their lack of response and requested again that they cancel my order and refund the purchase price plus postage. After sending my e-mail, I received an automated reply saying they had received my message and would respond.Desired Settlement: I would just like the full purchase price of $45.15 credited back to my credit card and for my order to be cancelled as soon as possible. I want no further business with this company based on similar experiences with them reported on the internet where customers never received their orders even after receiving what seemed to be "legitimate" communication from the company's "customer service" department.

Response:

This customer informed us that their "event date" was June 23rd. On Monday 6/17, they sent an e-mail inuring about the status of their order. Our customer service agent was out sick on 6/18 and so their e-mail wasn't replied to until 6/19. In that e-mail we apologized for not responding in a timely manner and explained that our customer service had been down the prior day. It was confirmed that the order was shipping on the 19th for a delivery on the 21st (two days prior to the event). We also asked if shipment was still ok at that time. At 2:20PM on the 19th, (after the order was shipped and a confirmation e-mail was sent) the customer replied that because of our poor customer service efforts, they wanted the order canceled and wanted their money refunded. We immediately replied in an e-mail, "Your order has already been shipped. If it is no longer needed please

have it refused and it will be shipped back to us. Once we receive it

your refund will be processed. Thank you." As stated, we communicated with the customer on the 19th confirming a delivery on the 21st. It seems that the customer disregards the fact that or customer service was down on the 18th and because of that, believes we made no effort to communicate with them. We did follow through with shipping and delivering their order on time for their event date. As also stated, they will recieve a refund once they return the merchandise.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me, provided that they will truly refund my money when I return the product to them. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Please note that the reason I contacted them on the 17th was because they had not responded to my e-mail sent on June 13th inquiring about the status of my order, though they had charged my credit card on June 7th for the purchase. Further, I did not disregard the fact that their customer service was "down" on the date they referenced. If that was the case that day, I can understand that. What is harder to understand is why I had to try 3 different phone numbers that they listed for the business before I found one that went through and why I never received a response to my e-mail on 6/13. The business also failed to mention that it was only after I submitted a message via their website on 6/19 asking them to cancel my order that I heard anything from them at all. Further, I responded immediately when I received their "apology" e-mail on 6/19 asking if they should still send my order with a definite "no thank you."

I understand that sometimes there are delays and things happen, but in this day in age where there are so many "scams" and the other reports from customers that I found on the internet about this business also reporting absolutely horrible service and often that their orders were never received, I was very concerned when this business did not respond to my inquiries. The last straw was when I tried to call them the morning of June 19th and I couldn't even leave a message because their voicemail inbox was full. It seems peculiar that I did not hear anything from them after I'd tried 3 different times/ways to contact them until I submitted a message via their website asking them to cancel my order. That request was submitted before they e-mailed me asking if they could still send the order, and they never acknowledged that I had submitted that request via their website.

I appreciate that they have tried to get the order to me on time, but I will be refusing delivery of it since I had to purchase supplies elsewhere after not hearing back from them until the 19th, and I will not do business with this company again. With all the internet ordering I have done, I have never experienced a lack of customer service like this before and would not recommend this business to anyone.

Regards,

Review: I ordered 4 items from this company and when receiving them the package only had 2 of the 4 items, however, the packing slip stated all 4 items were enclosed. I needed these items for a baby shower the following day so I ended up using something else and wanted to send the 2 unused items back to Plates and Napkins. I emailed the customer service reguarding the issue and requested directions on how to return, which I received and followed through with. I had a tracking # from the USPS and once the USPS website showed that it had been delivered back to the company I began sending emails to check the status. I sent 3 emails with no response. They have only one phone number listed on their site which has been disconnected. I sent 2 messages via live chat and again have not received any response. In all messages I included the tracking and order #s. My credit card has not been credited for the amount charged back in September 2013.

Review: Placed an order with this company on Oct. 17th, 2013, promised it would arrive on Oct. 26, never received. Have emailed and called several times, no response. So I'm out my money.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my money $79.45

Review: I did not receive plates that I ordered in July. I have called the only number listed on the website, and it is not in service. I have emailed the company at least 10 times with no reponse. I have also filled out the form for a live chat, with no repsonse. I do not want the plates, instead, I want a refund. My order number is [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the plates as well as the $9.00 S/H to my credit card that I used for the purchase. I would love additional payment for the amount of time I have spent chasing this as well.

Review: I ordered several items from Plates and Napkins website for a baby shower. Several of the items I ordered were noted on the website as "Currently Out-of-Stock but estimated to ship in 3-5 business days". I did not believe this would be an issue as the event was well over a month from the date of my order. I received an email from Plates and Napkins stating that some of my items were backordered and asking what day I needed the items for. My response went unanswered and I had to email a second time asking if my order was ever going to ship or if I needed to order from somewhere else. A rep. named [redacted] finally replied that my order would ship out in two days but he did not mention that none of the backordered items would be included nor that I would only receive 3 of an item that I had ordered 4 of. If he had informed me that only a partial item was shipping, I would have cancelled the order (it does me no use to have treat boxes for 24 people when I am expecting 32). I contacted Plates and Napkins again upon receipt of my order with my displeasure at receiving a partial order without my approval. [redacted] replied that he would allow me to return the item that I only received 3 out of 4 of without charging a restocking fee, but has not sent me a return address or a return authorization number. I have emailed three times and called once and cannot get a reply. Plates and Napkins charged the entire cost of my order on my credit card on the day it was ordered, rather than the day it was shipped, which I believe is illegal. According to the packing slip I received, I will receive a credit for the cancelled items but I have not seen a credit come through yet.Desired Settlement: I would like Plates and Napkins to reply to my multiple requests for a return authorization number and return address so I can return the partial order and receive a refund.

Business

Response:

The customer paid with PayPal not a credit card. What she saw on her statement was an initial authorization of funds, not a charge. When the order shipped, the customer was charged ONLY what was sent to her. Second, the customer ordered an item that is EXTREMELY popular and the supplier is now out of stock until May 15th. When this order was placed we assumed (based off of our ordering and purchasing) that we'd have enough inventory to fill this order (reason why customer wasn't notified). Since the supplier is now unable to meet demand, we ran out of the item and the customer was sent (1) item short (this was not done intentionally - and we didn't want to provide her with nothing for her party!). We're disappointed as well and understand the customer's "displeasure" but am hoping the customer can understand that in this economy suppliers do not have the large inventories they once had and companies experience last minute "back orders" and out of stocks. The customer said they have called and e-mailed numerous times and have not gotten a response (TRUE). We have been closed for the past week as we have been moving (states this on the website and on the phone message). We apologize for any inconvenience and will immediately assist the customer and a refund will be issued by the end of the business day.

Review: My original order was placed in the beginning on September. My event was to take place on October 4th. I sent several emails regarding the order to insure it would be available before my event. I was billed and the money was withdrawn from my account on September 19th. Unfortunately, their responses did indeed filter in my spam folder so I miss them. They did call me to let me know my order would ship from the manufacturer and I should expect the delivery by October 3rd. The emails I retrieved from my spam folder were similar in content. October 4th came and went. I had to purchase plates and napkins the morning of my wedding because the shipment did not arrive as promised via phone and email. I was never notified of the shipment and never received any tracking information. Time got away from me after the wedding, and it wasn't until a week after that I realized I still had yet to receive the shipment. I once again emailed the company. They responded promptly, apologized, and told me my refund was being processed. That occurred on October 8th. I have yet to receive my refund.

Had I read these reviews prior to ordered, I would have never even considered using this company. The problems are numerous and all very similar and this company evidently has little interest in fixing them. I do apologize for not recognizing the original email responses, but the continued difficulty with this company warrants further disappointment.Desired Settlement: To be refunded the $146.55 that was debited from my checking account via debit card on September 19th, 2013.

Review: I purchased products from the website on 12/18/13. I received two emails that day, one stating that my order was awaiting fulfillment and then one stating that my order was awaiting shipment. I haven't received any further emails nor have I received the shipment. I sent the company a message through their website on 1/3/14 and then a message on their facebook page on 1/4/14. I also found their customer service phone number on their facebook page (it is not listed on their website) and have called several times and left a message on 1/6/14. I have yet to hear from any of these sources. I also sent an email today to their customer service email address. I am unable to check the status of my order on the website because I don't have an account.Desired Settlement: I need this order to arrive no later than 1/17/14. Preferably before that date as I ordered it a month in advance. If there is an extra charge for the shipping, the company should pay for it, not me since it is their fault the order has not been shipped. I would also like for them to list their customer service phone number on their website and start returning correspondence with future customers. This company has a lot of nice things, but they will lose my business if they keep treating their customers with so little respect.

Review: I placed an order for plates for an upcoming shower that I am hosting. I chose this website because they had a range of colors and designs at a fairly reasonable price. I had no idea what a mess I was getting myself into. I purchased the items on 4/8 and immediately followed up with an e-mail (per the instructions) to let them know that the event was coming up quickly on April 27th. The automated response I received said I would hear a response within 2 business days. I have still yet to hear anything and it's been over a week. Additionally, I received an e-mail on April 9th saying my order was being pulled for shipment and that I would receive an e-mail soon with the tracking information. They also charged my credit card $77.40 at that time for the products. It has been a week and I have yet to receive an e-mail confirmation (let alone the products). I have called numerous times only to receive an automated message saying they are busy (even though I was calling within business hours) and also e-mailed with no response. The shipping information online says the order will be prepared and shipped within 1-4 business days. I have e-mailed to ask to have my order cancelled after reading others issues because I will need to order from another company now and pay extra shipping to make sure it gets here in time. I have ordered other supplies from other companies since this order and already received those orders. I am very frustrated with their lack of customer service and the fact that I can't get an update (the website just says "processing" for my order even though they have charged it over a week ago). Please help me get a refund and do NOT use this company especially if you are trying to plan a special event.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a full refund and have my order cancelled immediately.

I sent an e-mail regarding this yesterday that I did

finally receive a response from the company and would like to stop my customer

complaint. Please cancel.

Review: We had ordered the party supplies because we were throwing a surprise birthday party for our mother . We were assured by the company that we would receive our supplies on time and well before the party date .Needless to say we did not receive the shipment on time . The company prompted us to return the supplies for a full refund . That was in August of 2013 . We have thus tried to contact the company many times , but they have failed to respond in any way .Desired Settlement: We would love to receive a full refund of $75.50 . The amount the company promised to refund .

Review: I ordered from www.platesandnapkins.com for a Baby Shower I was putting on. They asked for the event date which was today, 10/25/13 and I told them I needed my order by 10/24/13. Their website guarntees 3-5 day delivery once your confirmation is received. I received my confirmation 10/15/13. I have not received the product I ordered and I am unable to get a hold of the company. I have tried multiple times calling them and I have email them.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the purchase amount of $69.75.

Review: I ordered 2 packages of napkins from this company on or about July 2, 2013. My card was charged the day of the purchase (confirmation number [redacted]). A couple weeks later I had not received my purchase and therefore contacted the company via email. The company emailed me back stating that the napkins I had ordered were on back order and that it will be some time before my order will be processed. I check their website to see if I had missed that the napkins were on back order and when I looked there was no indication anywhere on their website that the napkins I ordered were on back order. I proceeded to email them again asking for a specific date that I could expect the napkins, as on their website it DID NOT state that the napkins were on back order. I also stated that I would need the napkins by August 31, 2013 for a baby shower I was hosting. I received a reply back that stated I would receive the napkins BEFORE my baby shower, but not a specific date.

On August 27, 2013, I received an email from the company stating that my order was ready, but being held as the authorization to charge my card had expired and therefore my payment had been denied. The email stated that I needed to go onto paypal or re-enter my credit card information in order for them to process payment so that they could ship me my order. The company had already charged my card the day of the sale/purchase- 7-2-13, and so I was curious why they were trying to charge my card again. Not only that, but if they were just now mailing the napkins I had ordered (8-27-13), there was no way that I would receive the napkins PRIOR to the baby shower date of August 31, 2013.

I therefore proceeded to call the phone number provided to me in the email that the company had sent me. The number provided was out of service. I researched their website online and found another customer service number that I called, and that number was also out of service. I then found two (2) other phone numbers that I tried calling, and those phone numbers were also out of service.

This made me very upset, and therefore I did some more research on the company realizing that many reports/complaints have been filed against them for not being legitimate. I was immediately worried that they would continue to charge my account and contacted my bank to see if there was anyway to possibly stop a payment from the company IF one came through.

I am upset that the company DID not let me know the napkins were on back order, nor did their website state that the napkins were on back order. I am upset that it took almost 2 months for my order to be processed. I am upset that the company provides FALSE customer service phone numbers and that there is NO ONE to directly speak to. I am also upset that they have my card information and may continue to try to charge me for a product that I don't even want anymore since it will not arrive in time for my event.Desired Settlement: I believe that this company is NOT legitimate and from my research takes MONTHS to produce orders and/or charges clients without sending them their purchases. Therefore, I think it is in the best interest for this company to either have to have a warning on their website that they are not Revdex.com accredited or something along to that effect OR that the company deserves to be shut down all together.

I do not believe in a company being able to continue to operate on FALSE grounds.

Thank you!

Response:

On July 2nd, the customer's credit card company authorized the amount that the customer charged for this order - that's it. To date, nothing has been charged because the order has not been shipped. In fact we were getting ready to ship the order out this week, (in time for the customer's 8/31 event) and had to send the customer an electronic invoice because their credit card information had expired in our system (which it automatically does after 30 days). Our website clearly shows our one and only phone number (619) 407-7246. Customers can leave a message and as soon as someone is available they'll either call the customer back or send them an e-mail. Our records show that this customer e-mailed about the order on 7/17. We replied back on the 18th explaining that the particular item that was ordered was temporarily out of stock, and confirmed that it would be back in stock shortly and would arrive on time. Then on 8/27, the customer out of the blue sent us an e-mail ordering us to "cease and desist." We apologize for any inconvenience. At stated, the customer wasn't charged and at this point can't be charged. We thought after the initial 7/18 e-mail confirming that the order would arrive on time (and not hearing back until 8/27) that the customer was fine with all that. Needless to say the customer demanded the order be canceled and it has been.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The phone number that the company provided, again, is NOT in service. I have an email with a totally different number to call and that number is also NOT in service. I was NOT able to leave a message. The ONLY way the company has replied to my inquiries about my order is through email. Why wouldn't they have a customer service representative call me if there was an issue with my order? Also had I NOT emailed the business on 7-17-13 MYSELF then I would have NEVER known that my order was on back order. They NEVER contacted me themselves to let me know that my order was out of stock. The order for my purchase was put in on 7-2-13, I received an email dated Tuesday, August 26, 2013 (NOT 7-18-2013 as they claim) that my purchase was ready to ship, but that the payment was declined due to the authorization to charge my card being expired. Even if at that point (8-22-13) I had went through with my order, my order would have NOT been sent to me in time from the State of California to the State of Florida UNLESS they shipped the order with express delivery, and I was not going to allow myself to be charged, after TWO months of waiting for my product, for express delivery. I would have NOT received my order in time. I am sorry, but I do NOT find it acceptable to order two pairs of napkins and NOT receive the order for almost TWO months. I also DO not find it acceptable that the company NEVER notified me that my order was on back order. I had to contact them THROUGH email, as their phone numbers provided are OUT OF SERVICE and DO NOT WORK. I have seen many complaints about this company, and though they have taken care to cancel my order now, since it was LATE and would NOT have arrived in time as I was promised, I would NEVER order from this company again. They are deceitful, their phone numbers are fake, and it obviously takes MONTHS to get your order.

Regards,

Review: I'm very disappointed that we did not receive the order of napkins for our daughter's wedding. Order #[redacted] was placed online by my daughter ([redacted]) on 09/16/13. My daughter was assured via email that the napkins were shipping the week of 09/23. She was again assured via email on 09/26 that they were shipping from the manufacturer that day and would arrive early the following week. Calls and emails to Plates & Napkins customer service on 10/03 and 10/08 have gone unanswered. The wedding came & went on Sat., 10/05, without delivery of the napkins.Desired Settlement: Total refund of $60.32 to credit card used for order (Product: $47.52, Sales Tax: $3.80, Shipping: $9.00)

Review: I placed an order for paper products with the company on December 12,2013 and specified that I needed the items to be delivered by December 21. After receiving an initial confirmation from the company, they charged my Visa card for the amount of the purchase ($14.69). As of December 30, I have still not received my order and have had no response to the 3 emails I sent to the company. Although it is not a large dollar amount, I have never experienced such poor service and complete lack of communication on an internet purchase. Very disappointing and frustrating. I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: A refund of the $14.69 charged to my Visa card for Order #[redacted]. I wish I had done research on this company before placing my order.
