Review: I went to buy the used car from this place on May 14th 2013. Sales person [redacted] was helping me. He told me my car was $17999. I got the car with that price. When I got home, I checked the price on the internet sale. It was same VIN no: listed $14987. May 15th I called the sales person and let him know they were not price I saw on the internet. He was saying because of my credit they can't sell the same price listed in internet. His manager called me and he told me again about my credit. Because of my credit they can' t sell the same price as listed. I need to bring the money from my bank so they can sell it. I told them I am going to return the car. I went back on May 16th, manager showed me another prepared document showing they are giving me different price on that car but not the same as listed price.

I called other dealer and asked about if I saw the price in the internet they will sell with that price or change the price. The other company was saying I will get the same price as listed in the internet but interest rate will change depends on my credit.

If I haven't noticed the price of my car, they will over price $3000 more than listed. It was over price and very dishonest to the customer.

They are very dishonest and kept picking my credit problem. I was very disappointed that company.

Price couldn't change because of my credit. Interest rate will change because of my credit. That is my understanding.

I believed these people are taking advantage the people has bad credit. They think they can make up the story anything they want.

I returned that car. The store manager kept saying because of my credit he couldn't sell listed price.Desired Settlement: I need an apology from that Pohanka CEO. Not from any other store manager or district manager.

Regards,

Review: I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Pohanka Honda on Saturday, August 16th, at the time of the sale, I continually asked the Sales person (Sabrina) what my interest rate was and she repeated 10%. When I went to financing it was 12.99%. According to her, the financing was also contingent upon three things: 1) two current paystubs; 2) $500 downpayment to show good faith; and 3) proof of insurance. They provided a loaner vehicle while they made repairs on the one they talked me into purchasing. I was able to secure financing from another party on Monday, August 18th, but was also dropped from my insurance policy because I no longer had a co-signer. I told them this on Tuesday and was immediately harassed. Sabrina and two managers proceeded to force me to purchase the vehicle and waived the $500 requirement, plus took out insurance in my name without my consent and authorization. I asked them not to do that and asked them to terminate the sale because of my inability to met the three requirements. The conversation escalated and the manager called me a terrorist and threatened to kick me and my mother off the property. The manager also accused me of purchasing another vehicle from another dealer, which is incorrect. I called the police and under advice of counsel, I left the vehicle. Currently they have my trade-in vehicle and the new vehicle.Desired Settlement: Termination of original contract because of inability to meet original requirements of the contract. A written and oral apology from the manager who called me a terrorist and a written apology from the owner of that particular facility. Refund of cost of rental vehicle.

To whom it may concern,The client came back the day after purchasing a [redacted] from us saying she wants to return the vehicle. We explained to her that a contract had been executed and she has purchased a vehicle. The next day another manager contacted the client and resolved her issues. She then came back and signed all new documents and took her car, All issues have been resolved to the clients Satisfaction.Thank YouDanny M.

Review: While trying to purchase a 2004 Honda [redacted] from Pohanka Honda of [redacted], MD, I deceived for hours until the point of actually signing paperwork. The vehicle was listed online with very little information. There were no pictures and the price of 13495 had a slash going through it. There was a car fax available which we looked at. We arrived at the dealership at 2pm after a 2 hour drive to get there (sales rep knew as we had spoke several times on the phone over the last couple of days). When we get there we see the vehicle and plastered in a big yellow sign ion the windshield of the vehicle is a sign stating "this vehicle comes with a 2 year/ 100,000 mile warranty. I test drove the vehicle and noticed a vibration in the wheels as did my passengers. We informed the rep of the issues and she got her service dept. to look into it. We do some negotiations and come to a figure that we were ready to entertain pending the results of the issues we brought to her attention. At that point we were leaving the dealer to kill time when the rep came back out to tell us new terms of the deal. They were not going to fix any problems that we brought to their attention, unless the money we negotiated was added back to the price. If we chose not to get the repairs done, they would still diagnose, but the negotiated price would stay put. BOTH OPTIONS STILL INCLUDED THE 2 YEAR OR 100,00 MILE WARRANTY. Not only did we see the sign in the front windshield (which I have several pictures of), but the sales rep reiterated it many times throughout the negotiations. Even with the new terms, I was still willing to entertain the vehicle. While out killing time, the sales rep called me to let me know they had diagnosed the problem as a tire balance issue. If they fixed it it would cost me $60. I told them there was no way I was paying for repairs to a vehicle I don't even own yet. they then said we can just come back and test drive it again...without the repairs being done. I told them that was pointless, but to do the repairs before the second test drive and if I'm satisfied with the results I would not only pay for the repair, but also purchase the vehicle. When then get back to the dealer for the second test drive. The problem was still there, but felt different. I'm not going to say they didn't balance the tires, but they did rotate the tires which would't keep things consistent to make a comparison. The rep is the one that pointed that out about the rotation. Even after that, we liked the vehicle, already ran credit and had financing and we had been there for 4 hours (not including the ride). 30 minutes later, right as we are about to sign the paperwork to purchase the vehicle, the sales rep inform us that the vehicle does not in fact have a 2 year/100,00 mile warranty. It wouldn't qualify because of the age of the vehicle. That put a screeching halt into the process and changed the entire perspective on the value of the vehicle. The dealership not only did not want to honor what they sold us on and what was advertised on the vehicle, but they were very unprofessional and made a joke of us. They were not professional and were not willing to even negotiate the price of the vehicle considering their mistake. There only response was showing us a white normal sized paper buyers guide that was also on the back side window of the vehicle stating as is. In our defense they had an even bigger yellow sign on the front windshield of the car saying it came with a warranty, and the sales rep used the warranty as a selling tool the whole time. We were given several different deals throughout the negotiations process written and verbal and they all consisted of the 2 year warranty literally until I was about to put ink to the paper. We spent almost 5 hours at the dealership and another 4 hours driving to and from. They ran my credit at least twice, and were very unprofessional. They also made a joke of us as there were a lot of smirks after we were clearly frustrated with the process. I tried to speak to two different managers while there and got the same result. They only stated that they were entitled to make mistakes and that was it. I HAVE SEVERAL PICTURES OF THE VEHICLE. IT WILL CLEARLY SHOW THE WARRANTY BEING ADVERTISED.Desired Settlement: I would like for the dealer to honor the deal we had before they started the scam. The price of the 2004 Honda [redacted] with 22500 miles would be $13495 plus approximately $800 in fees/taxes (The Reconditioning fee of $1600 was already dropped in the initial negotiation), with the 2 year 100,00 mile warranty that was advertised and negotiated still in tact.

Outside of the desired outcome above, providing a similar vehicle, with similar miles, in the similar condition, I don't know what else can be done.

This was no case of an innocent mistake Like the managers tried to down play it as. I can say that in confidence because they used the warranty as the "ace in the hole". We negotiated for hours, including the general manager in the process several times. In fact, before we left the first time to "kill time" when the rep came out to catch us, she said the new terms came directly from the GM which also included the warranty. I had three other guest present while that negotiation was being made.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from the dealership on 12/27/2013. I was told the vehicle that I was trading in would be paid off in 10 days according to there policy. The vehicle wasn't paid off until 1/27/2014, which caused me to make an additional payment on the vehicle I traded in which was in there possession and should have been paid off 10 days after the trade in. I spoke with the sales manager [redacted] informing him of the situation. I was told that I would receive a full refund of the remaining balance after the check was sent to my bank to pay off the vehicle I traded in. I had to make a $275.00 payment, I received $208.00 of the $275.00 only because it was the remainder of what was left after Pohanka Honda paid off my trade in. Which means Pohanka Honda still owes me $67.00, I've tried dealing with there staff but they refuse to handle the issue and unfortunately the original person I was handling the issue with no longer works for the company.Desired Settlement: I would like for Pohanka Honda to issue me a check for $67.00

Review: Went to buy a car on Tuesday, July 22nd. Told salesperson was contingent upon price of insurance. This was a verbal agreement. Called on sales person on Wednesday, July 23rd to tell her that I would be bringing it back but would check for lower insurance. Called Thursday morning to let them know I was bringing car back because I could not afford the insurance. Got to the dealership and was told that they don't have a "Cooling Off Period". I was not told this before signing documents. I agree I should have read all the agreements but as a business they should inform their customers of this clause. Now I am stuck with a vehicle that I will probably turn into the finance company before the first payment.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel this transaction and return the vehicle.

If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Car was accepted back by the dealership not because I could not afford the insurance. They refused to take it back because of the insurance which is how and why this compliant was filed. They took it back because I notified the finance company that I was not happy with the car and the way the dealership handled the transaction. The finance company refused to honor the financing based on my compliant.Regards,[redacted]

Review: Purchased a brand new vehicle at the end of May. I used my car as trade which was registered in New Jersey. I requested the car be registered if possible in Maryland ( which ever was cheaper ) since I now live in Maryland and would need to get a Maryland License. I was told to hold onto the NJ tags and if the car was registered with NJ I would just need to put those tags on the car and do the switch when I got a maryland license. The temporay tags expired on 7/30/14. Prior to the expiration I contacted the tag and tiltle department on numerous occassions and no one would answer. I continued to leave voice mail messages but no return phone calls. On July 11, I went to the dealership to find out what was going on. Again I was told to contact tag and title. I did this and no response. Then on Monday July 28th I called the dealership spoke with a salesman and because I was so upset he personally walked over to tag and title to find out what was going on. No one was in the office so he said he would have to call me back. Later I received a phone call from the gentleman who sold me the car . He stated that I owed an additional three hundred plus dollars because they made an error when calculating the the amount due durning the finance process. I wanted to know why after alll this time am I hearing about this??? Now I am being told they will not process registration until I pay the three hundred plus dollars. The car salesman told me he knew nothing about it and it was the first he was hearing about this as well. I asked how can the registration be an additional three hundred if they never processed the registration for either Maryland or New Jersey. I expalined the tags expire in 3 tags and they had an obligation to notify and it was thier error not mine. I told them I did not have the money in 3 days. I was then told I could come in and get another temp tag until this is resolved. After I hung up with the saleman, a sales manger called and left a voice mail on my phone notifying me of the error and the additional amount due and I could pay with cash, check, credit card or debit,. And he stated I could call the tag and title office to make arrangements to pay. I did not call him back because his message was rude and very cocky. I went out to the web and searched for the name of the General Manager. I sent him an email requesting he call me to discuss the service and business practice of the dealership. Too date no response.

Then on Wednesday 7/30/14 I called the dealership to tell them I was on my way to get a temp tag ( which I was told that I could get) until this was resolved. My car salesman called me back about 15 minutes later to inform me no one would be there to help me and the tag and title office was closed and he wouldnt be able to get me a tag. I asked what do you do when you sell a car after 6pm? You put tags on a car then. He could offer no response. I informed him because of my work and distance I would never be able to be there before they closed. I contacted another dearlership to find out if what I was being told was true and was told they were in the wrong and someone could of helped me. I now have a car without tags because they will not process until I pay for thier error. How do they know the amount is 300 + if they haven't begun to process the tags for either state? I even contacted the General Manager via email but no response. I have also contacted a lawyer about this dearlership practices.Desired Settlement: I wandt the registration for the car I purchased processed and I want the tags. My contract shows I paid for the tag and title service. If there really is an error, I should not be responsible. They are in the business of selling cars they should know the fees for the services .

To whom it may concern,RE – Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]Customer-[redacted]We ended up paying the $300 difference in tag and title fees and sent the client her registration. We sent the registration to her NJ address where she no longer lives. While waiting for the new registration to arrive she was pulled over and got a ticket for driving on expired temp. tags. We agreed to reimburse her for the $50 ticket and to take care of the first oil change. The client is satisfied with this outcome.Thank YouDanny M

Dear [redacted]:

Review: I took my 2011 Honda Civic to the Honda Dealer that I purchased the new car from on 4/20/13 to check on a noise the car was making when I braked. The car had 29,995 miles on it. The problem was loud scraping during braking that began on the left side. I was told the car was in excellent condition and the brakes were great. I was assured there was absolutely no problem, although I was sure there was. The sound eventually migrated to the right side and both sides were loud. Because I was told the car was in excellent condition and given the fact that the car was fairly new, I did not bring it back until 6/23/13. At that time, the car felt very dangerous to drive and the brakes felt like they were not working because they did not stop the car well and were scraping extremely loud. There was never a time when the brakes squeaked as if the brake pads needed replacement. When I brought it in, I was told that the pads and rotors needed replacement at 32,176 miles. I was confused because the car had just been checked two months and 2,181 miles earlier, but the pads were completely worn down and the front rotors were in absolute need of replacement. The repair serviceman was the same associate who inspected my car before, named [redacted]. He said that there may have been pressure on the rotors causing them to be warped and he missed it the first time the car was brought in. It is common knowledge that rotors can be affected when brake pads are worn below a safe level and when I asked for a compensation for the rotors, I was given a $50.00 discount. This was unsatisfactory, given the fact that the car had already been brought in and inspected for the brake issues. I asked if this was covered under a warranty or covered due to their negligence to fix my car when I brought it to them, but they refused to address the problem. I paid $461.56, but I felt as though I should have only been responsible for the brake pads because the rotors were likely destroyed due to driving with completely worn down brake pads to begin with. I did not take my car elsewhere because I only felt comfortable bringing my car to the dealership where I purchased my car due to prior issues (never reported) at smaller repair shops. Pohanka Honda has not been helpful in addressing this situation, which is why I am reaching out for consumer help. I was charged $65.99 for the brake pads, which I have no problem paying for and those associated fees. I paid $210.70 for the rotors, $180.00 for labor, $19.90 for a quiet brake kit and $16.20 for disposal of materials.Desired Settlement: I would like to be charged only for the brake pads and reasonable labor associated with that. I feel that I brought the car to my dealer for help and was mislead about its condition. Their negligence to find the problem or the fact that they did not disclose the problem caused me to need larger repairs than the brake repair needed at the time. Rotor damage is related to worn brake pads and there is no way that the brake pads and rotors went from excellent to dangerous in 2 months and 2,000 miles. I am disputing $210.70 for the rotors and 71% the labor cost ($180.00), which is proportionate to the total cost of the rotors out of parts total (210.70/296.59). The estimate for labor costs I would like refunded is $127.87. This amount is (210.70/296.59)*180.00. The grand total for the cost of the rotors and the associated labor is $338.57. That means I am still willing to work with the dealer and pay $122.99 for brake pads, even though this price is high for 2 brake pads and I have gone through a lot of trouble. I have called a few times since paying and leaving, but no one has answered my calls in the service department. Thank you.
