Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: again I am being offered a warrantyI was supposed to be offered a year and a half ago but failed to be offered to so now I'm being offered the same warranty that should have been offered to me then for the same exact price and which I had already went out and purchased another DVR and I have my camera's going on my ownmeans the DVR that they gave me stopped working I am NOT purchasing a DVR from them when I only have months left in my contract and will be switching to another providerSo I'm glad you think that you are helping in the situation when you are offering the same thing that you offer every other Customer when your company failed to offer me the warranty and the beginning instead of months before my contract is outthanksAs well as they stated they had called me several times that is right they have called me several times because I have had several problems and have needed assistance in fixing them.Regards, [redacted]

We apologize for the inconvenience and lack of response due to the requestPoint had a network specialist reach out to the customer on 8/17/and resolve the issue of the customer obtaining new network equipment, thus causing the camera system to no longer have the remote feature availableThe specialist noted there may have been some initial confusion on the brand of equipment the customer had, which could have been the cause for the incorrect e-mail guide

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They state they are offering me a warranty even though mine is outThe truth about that is they NEVER offered me one to begin with because their employee failed to notice a lot of customersNot to be nice so that's a lieThey are trying to fix what someone else messed up, but I bought a dvr through another company now and will not never recommend this company to anyoneSo im tired of exhausting my options and want people to know HALF the time I owned this stuff it didn't work I ALWAYS had to call in to fix these...And still paying for services I DONT HAVE SO THANKS Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Since making my original complaint, I have learned that the month service agreement is NOT with Point Security It is actually with Monitronics, the monitoring company Point Security is just the installation provider However, it is Point Security who is invoicing me for the remaining balance of the contract I talked to Monitronics twice and each time the representative told me that they own the contract and not to pay Point Security But when I talked to a representative today, she told me that she talked to Point Security and as long as I turn my monitoring service back on with Monitronics, I will not owe Point Security the remaining balance of my contract When I questioned Point Security about month service agreement being with Monitronics and not them, they still said that I owe them money They couldn't explain how I even though my contract is with Monitronics, I still owe them money Point Security and Monitronics cannot explain anything, blame each other, and change their statements each time I talked them I have no idea who to believe

Our Service Department has reached out to Mr*** and explained our move policiesThe Service Department and Mr*** have come to a mutual agreement about how to get his new home covered with the security system from his previous one

The customer has been in contact with our Customer Relations department and they are working together to come up with a solutionThe account was terminated through the monitoring station as Point Security has no authority to terminate monitoring servicesPoint Security's Customer Relations rep
heading up the solution is in contact with both the customer and with the monitoring center to see what has transpired and what can be done

We are very sorry about the confusion with running credit. *** is well aware we run credit, and we only run credit through bureau...Equifax. I believe that is what he meant by saying it is a soft check, as we don't run all major bureaus, just the 1. Either way, we will

*** and our customer relations rep spoke with each otherThey mutually found and agreed that the dispute on this complaint not with Point Security LLC

An agreement was made for the customer to be able to tie in his existing hard wired smoke detectors and to keep all his zones separate from one anotherPoint had to put in a system that would accept hard wired zones rather than translating the zones to wireless signalThe customer was installed on
3/1/Point apologizes for the delay in the install, however, we always want to make sure we are able to accomplish what our customers wantThis time took longer than intended, but we are happy we were able to successfully get the system operational while fulfilling customer requests

We have spoken with [redacted] multiple times, and have tried very hard to offer her a fair resolution.  The DVR is out of warranty, and she did not receive the warranty info, so to be fair we offered her the Camera and DVR warranty for $174.99 retroactively even though it is out of...

warranty, as a courtesy to her.  I don't know many companies that would offer to warranty something not working and out of warranty, but we did considering she said she did not receive the warranty info.  She does not want to pay that, as she said she is going to go with another company and get all new stuff.  I even offered that if she does get a new DVR from another company, then we would buy back the new DVR we gave her for the full amount of $174.99.  We are exhausting all of our efforts on this, as we care very much about making our customers the happiest customers around.  We will keep that deal available for her if she chooses to take us up on it.[redacted]General ManagerPoint Security[redacted]
