Our hot water heater finally died and our family was without hot water. I called many places to get quotes on what a new one installed would cost. After reviewing many companies we went with Polestar for several reasons. For one, they were able to fit us with a top notch product within an affordable range. Two, everyone we spoke with from beginning to end were highly focused on our wants and needs. Three, the installation crew were friendly, timely and the process was seamless. We now have hot water again and are very happy customers for life!

Had a sump pump quit working and water was backing up into basement. Called about 2:45 and they said could be here by 5:00-7:00 range, earlier if possible. Got here at 4:00 and had new pump in and job completed by 5:00. Only “complaint” would be the invoice did not itemize the costs for the pump, labor and/or rush service charge...but it was the price they quoted and it was done quick so I’m happy.

I called this morning, just finding out if they could take a look at my heatpump, they were here within the hour. Done in about 45 mins. Showed me everything they found (which was minor) very personable and knowledgeable. They even noted they service electric fireplaces - which big plus- I had been struggling to find folks. LSS they are back tomorrow for a look at the fireplace and now Angela and Ernesto are like family! They even had shoe covers on before they rang the doorbell!

We have used Polestar for our plumbing needs for several years without complaint. Work has always been done well and the staff has acted professionally.
But today, Tyler G came to do work for us. He did a wonderful job and made sure his work was done and everything was in order before he left. He answered all of our many questions and provided additional estimates as requested. He acted very professionally. It's great to work with Tyler and Polestar.

Technician sent out by company tried to sell me new a.c. Unit from the time he entered my property I said no but he could give me estimates. He did not do any troubleshooting on my current a.c. Unit that I saw just replaced parts on my a.c. Unit and took those parts away without showing them to me and explain why they were bad. Technician than said he needed to check the control board in my furnace and why he was there he changed out the transformer again not showing the part after he removed it after this he turned on my a.c. And said that my blower was not working and would need to be replaced. I did not let him do anything further as he kept escalating what was wrong. I called in another company and found out that technician deliberately unplugged blower wire when he replaced transformer these two items are not anywhere close to each other in the furnace. There was nothing wrong with the blower.

we don’t know what the other company told you, but we would never practice business like that. Our technician is a great guy and he took great offense to being accused of trying to purposefully do harm to someone’s personal property. We’ve been around since 1984, and we don’t stick around for 34 years by doing shady things. You never asked our technician to see the parts, but he would have provided them to you had you asked. When we got there, we did our diagnosis of the unit, and we found that several parts had to be replaced. You allowed us to do those repairs, but when it came time to replace the motor you were not agreeable to that work. When you told us to stop working, we stopped. However, we did go over the work that we were going to perform with you before we did anything because we always want to make sure that we were doing what you wanted done. We’re sorry that you feel like we wronged you, but we only charged you for the services that you received. Because we only charged you for the services that you received we won’t be issuing you a refund.

I am rejecting this response because:

I accept that no refund will be forthcoming, However, the issue still stands that if I would not have stopped further work I would have been charged for UNNECESSARY services, repairs and furnace equipment that was not needed at this time due to the deliberate unhooking of the blower wire and/or the negligence of your technician to not return the working area to its pre-work status in order for him to tell me I needed a new furnace which I did not need at the time and that is when I stopped further work, as my furnace worked fine all winter and even when the outside air conditioner unit stopped working. This makes me suspect the other work your technician did while at my home. How much of the other services/repairs were truly needed? I called in another company because I did not trust the work your company/technician did at my house and it doesn't instill confidence in my using your company again. Taking advantage of the lack of knowledge of the homeowner may not be considered a shady business practice, but it should be.

Douglas from Polstar came out to find out why our air conditioner was not working. He was here early in the time window. Very polite, knowledgable and quickly diagnosed the problem.

Technician was excellent. He installed an IComfort thermostat. He made sure everything was connected and heating and cooling were working. Thank you for a job well done

I heard of Polestar by word of mouth and I am very happy that I did, their bid was the best I received and they where able to start almost immediately. The technicians treated my home as if it was their own, very neatly and cleaned up perfectly after themselves. They were knowledgeable, thorough and completed the job quickly. The front office was also thorough and answered my every question. Would I have them back? Yes I would without question.

Very thorough tune up performed on our AC unit today. The technician checked numerous areas of the system, and cleaned it up nicely.
