Poole's Septic Systems Reviews (%countItem)

We had no idea what we were doing concerning a septic system. We made a few phone calls and still had no idea. Through a friend's recommendation, we called Poole's. They answered our questions, explained the system, and cleaned it out for us. They were so prompt, efficient, friendly, and priced reasonably. Definitely recommend them for septic service.

Poole septic is a *** if you want to get *** call them 7-3=19 they did a job for me, they did it wrong, now the job has to be redone at my expense. They can’t operate like this very long. It will come back on them

This customer contacted Pooles Septic in 2018 requesting a bid on a new septic system. A soil morphology report was recommended. The homeowner contacted us stating he had the soil morphology report completed and requested an estimate. On May 15, 2019, I met with the homeowner, discussed the findings from the report, his existing tank and an estimate. The homeowner explained that he purchased a septic tank from a company that was going out of business and hired someone to deliver, install this tank and system. The septic tank was delivered by the original installer, unloaded from a trailer, but was not installed and was sitting in the homeowner’s driveway. An estimate was giving based on the soil morphology report and his existing septic tank. I sent the estimate to the customer, the customer immediately started negotiating. The original estimate was for $9625.00 this was to include 600 ft of SB2-10inch sock pipe with D-box, approximately 250 ft of trunk line from tank to Dbox with a clean out every 50 ft, plumbed to homeowners tank, additional clean outs from trunk line, 2 adapter plates for septic tank, 1 riser and lid for inspection port over outlet and relocate and set septic tank. I agreed in a text to install adapters, 1 riser, baffles and the price of setting the existing septic tank at no cost to the homeowner. A new estimate was sent to the customer for $9000.00. While prepping the site for the customer existing tank, the tank manufacture I hired to move his tank before hooking up, he inspected the tank and said that the customers tank was cracked at the bottom and that the septic tank was not water tight and in sound condition. The homeowner was called and was given the information. He was on speaker phone, so that the tank manufacturer could comment on the homeowners existing tank. The homeowner asked what a new septic tank would cost. I told him it would be an additional $2000.00 installed. He immediately started negotiating. We agreed on an additional cost of $1800.00 for the new tank, installed, bringing the total amount due to $10,800.00. Later that evening I received a phone call after the new septic tank, risers, baffles, pea trap, clean outs and new trunk line was installed, the homeowner started negotiating again, this time stating he did not have a penny more than $9000.00 and was unable to pay. I explained to him that the new tank, pea trap, riser, clean outs, baffles, trunk line were already installed the only thing left was the field. The homeowner stated to stop ALL work, he would pay for what was already installed. I met with the homeowner on the following day, July 3, 2019. The homeowner tried to negotiate again. I was done negotiating. After the homeowner signed a release and the equipment was loaded, he now explained he does have the money, was done negotiating, and asked if I would install the field, to complete the system. I had already cancelled the rest of the materials, loaded up the machines, and called off other labors. Pooles Septic Systems has done everything to make this homeowner happy. As you can tell this customer has many negotiating tactics. Everything that has been installed meets the minimum Missouri State codes and standards.

The job Poole did for me was not done right, now I have to disconnect the tank pull it out of the ground and install it properly.

Poole's Septic Systems Response • Jul 15, 2019

The tank was installed correctly and meets all State requirements and minimun standards. The septic tank will and does pass a State inspection.
The new installation was not completed due to the homeowner stating he did not have the funds/ money to complete the job. The homeowner signed a document stating that he understood that the job was incomplete due to the lack of his funds and agreed that he found Pooles Septic Systems LLC harmless with NO LIABILITY due to HIS LACK OF FUNDS / NO MONEY to complete the job.

JW Poole was great but when his son in law took over he just cheats his customers, turning them into victims. The son in law charged me $400.00 for the pump and $600.00 for the labor and the pump did not last. Stay away from this
