My complaint is by no means resolvedThis company basically came back and said they will not back up the warranty for defective workmanship and materials so I am left with a defective roof that needs to be replaced and they refuse to do itI want to make sure no one else uses them and ends up in the same situation as I haveThanks [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint I reject the response and don't appreciate the bullying threat of legal action by Donnette Pwhose name is signed on the response from RSGC to the Revdex.com dated 9/23/16.It's true that due to the lack of a needed copy of a dated text sent from RSGC (MrP.) and one sent by myself that mutally ended doing business togetherThat copy of the text is why they dismissed my caseI did however send it to the Revdex.com so even though my attempt at representing myself failed, it still is what it isI signed what I believed to be an estimate and it was concealed to me that it was a contractI trusted RSGC to my own demise.BUYER BEWAREIn responding to this highly aggressive posting by MrPwife Donnette who I have never spoken to or seen I will simply state .the factsThose being that on or around July 26th I ask MrPto not buy or order any material due to further insurance monies to comeThey had errored in dating my home as being built in 1990, when it was actually built in This was going to pay additional monies that may have brought in enough to have MrPdo the needed three roofs to be compliant with my policy. In all the text and coorespondence and there was lots of it, I always told MrPhis verbal estimates were to highI had ask in the beginning for shingled roofs and I would purchase the shingles as I saw them at a very affordable price at a local lumber yard.MrPtold me that he could do Metal for the price of shinglesThis was a very attractive offerSo I agreed to let him price me a estimate for metalI had a set amout of 6K to do a manufactured home [which he has one on his web site at RSGC.net] and is placing a red metal over shingeThis is near the same as my own homeIt also says on his site several times NOT TO GIVE ANY CONTRACTOR MONEY UP FRONTI have found that this is a smoke and mirror advertisementI say this because in the response here on the Revdex.com MrPstates that ALL METAL ROOFS ARE SPECIAL ORDERIt however does not say that on his site.Further MrPis and states on his site that he is co partnered with Burch Sheet Metal as their supplier, yet I called and got a off the street non contractor price of Certainly if he is co partnered with the metal company as its stated on his site, he would certainly get at minimum a contractors discountAt our hearing I did finally get to see what he refused to show me or my insuraqnce agent and that was the reciept dated 8/23/This was well after we ended businessHe easily could have canceled his order and not took advantage of a signed estimate that turned out to be a contractBuyer Beware I sent information to the Revdex.com that shows I tried repeatedly to contact MrPto tell him I was not going to be able to afford his pricingHe delayed and avoided my calls on many occasions once being an day gap from my attempt to reach him until he finally responded.Buyer Beware that he states in his Revdex.com response that he was now stuck with useless metalThat isnt even possible as his website sates he does 1,000's of roofsOne again is pictured on his own site that is like mineaHe certainly will use that metal and would be foolish not toso MrPgot my plus the metal which absolutely can be used on other jobsBuyer Beware MrPhas other complaints with the Revdex.com and the other sites that threat tactics are used and are available for you to read on your own.I am ashamed to have let myself be douped but it is what it is, MrPwell knew my spouse was ill and unable to take care of this insurance matter as he was a police officer that was injusred in the line of dutyTherfore I had to do this foreign job on my ownMrPalso knew my spouse was a Purple Heart war vetand that we was raising our abused grandson without any real finacial assistanceI made it very clear that I had a set amout to spendHe did not have to get this material and considering his co partnering with the sheet Metal company, it would have been a simple call to stop them from cutting this metalHe avoiding my calls and ordering the material was deliberate and unsavoryBuyer Beware MrPbullying and threats made in his last response and the other sarcastic remarks made during this Revdex.com complaint should be enough to show all future buyers that if your offered METAL, plan on paying up front and be sure your in the know that a contract has been signed that has a full page of stipulations on the back of it [something that was never shown to me] thaqt states if you, or he cancel, he gets to keep your money and will charge 15% in addition to the original estimateBuyer Beware - read other Revdex.com and additional statements from others that he has bullied or not followed through with his promisesI am still seeking a full refund but would allow MrPhis 15% of the he took from usOther than that I want nothing further to do with Him, His wife or their companyIf this is not acceptable even with the knowledge that I was smoke and mirrored I can only hope this complaint will make all Buyers Beware of RSGCBe it know to that he has complaints out of [redacted] Another from [redacted] and yet another from [redacted] Thank you for being here Revdex.comGod knows at times your the only way to get the word out on companies with less than savory practicesRegards, [redacted] ***

Hi [redacted] Thanks for your inquiry. The answer you seek is simple.RSGC Roofing has NOT called or contacted me to setup the date for the fixing of my roof.1st (original Revdex.com complaint [redacted] ): Their response was a letter of excuses and a promise to be in touch.I “accepted” their promise in the Revdex.com online systembut it NEVER HAPPENEDNO CALL.2nd Revdex.com complaint [redacted] : Got an email from RSGC that they “hadnt forgotten me” and now that theyre“caught up” with other jobs they’d be in touchbut it NEVER HAPPENEDNO CALL.My attorney sent a letter to RSGC to discuss the matter (letter dated 8-31)NO RESPONSENO CALL.Now this complaint [redacted] : Which youre asking about now? NO RESPONSENO CALLI’ve just filed a complaint with the KY Attorney Generals Officecopy provided to RSGCNO RESPONSENO CALLyear and months and all excuses and promises so farNO ACTION BY RSGC TO RESOLVE.I’m certain Donnette Plunkett will provide more excuses and promises, but I assure you thatmy home voicemail and email are checked DAILYAnd I’ve received NOTHING.Maybe you can mention that the much cheaper option of FIXING my roofwill quickly change to a COMPLETE REFUND of the (+ court costs)if this matter is not resolved soon. Please do all that you can to help[redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

The roof in question was installed in January of with a year labor warranty, which expired in January of 2012, almost years ago.We have had multiple severe weather events in the area over the past years that could explain shingles liftingAs for installing over bad decking, I'll just
disagree with that statementSunken spots are generally caused by settling of the homeThe customer was not charged for chimney flashing, he is correct, it was not replaced. As stated in the first sentence, this roof has been out of it's warranty period for almost yearsWe can come and look at it and try to decipher what the issue is, but we will not be replacing it for free

There are no excuses being made!! Mr*** decided to involve the Revdex.com, an attorney and now the Attorney General, when simply being an understanding human being was all that was neededInstead of a response to an email, we received a letter from his attorney, so now our attorney is involved! Not once has this man attempted to contact us, he instead tries to intimidate and bully us into bowing down to him!! We have been advised by our attorney to not contact MrLewis until he has dealt with MrLewis' attorneyTHE REPAIR WAS ON THE SCHEDULE WHEN THE LETTER FROM HIS ATTORNEY WAS RECEIVEDHAD HE MADE A SIMPLE PHONE CALL, INSTEAD OF CHOOSING HIS SCARE TACTICS, ONCE AGAIN, THIS WHOLE MATTER WOULD BE OVER WITH!!!!If he would like to have the repair done in a timely manner, he can call of his attorney and rescind his complaint to the Attorney General, and we will gladly complete the repairMaybe you can mention that the phone works in both directions, and that our voicemail is checked daily as well, and that HE IS THE REASON THAT THIS REPAIR HAS BEEN HELD UP AND HE WILL BE PAYING COURT COSTS IF IT COMES TO THAT!!!!!

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it If you and the business have reached an agreement and compliance is set for a future date, we trust the business will comply Please contact us after that time if the matter is not resolved as agreed and we will review the complaint and proceed accordingly.]

To: *** ***RE: Case #***Mr*** is indeed correct, he does have a year labor warranty through RSGC, but he also has a material warranty with ***, the manufacturerAs for his opinion that RSGC is just trying to hold out until our labor warranty runs out, that is ludicrous for
more than one reasonThe shingles were not installed incorrectly, therefore this issue has absolutely nothing to do with the labor warranty, and everything to do with *** holding up their warranty on their materials, that were packaged incorrectly. We appreciate that Mr*** is frustrated and “doesn’t care who’s at fault”, but he needs to see if from our side as wellIf we ran out and fixed every problem that occurs due to negligence on the manufacturer’s part without recouping the cost from the manufacturer, our business would go bankrupt in a heartbeat, it happens far more often than one would imagine. As for his “holding the customer hostage” comment, that is not at all what is being done here, and we are sorry that he feels that wayWe are also sorry that instead of responding back to us by email regarding this matter, he chose to contact the Revdex.com in an attempt to tarnish RSGC’s reputation in order to get his way, so now we are being held hostage. I would also like to state that Dennis was not only in touch with ***, their representative was at MrLewis’ home on the day that Dennis removed one shingleThe representative asked for the shingle so that he could get the claim started, and informed Dennis that they would most likely offer Mr*** a cash settlementThis was in mid to late October of That information was relayed to Mr*** by phoneWhen we had not heard from him for months we assumed that *** had done just thatRSGC was in no way avoiding this situation, as we aren’t even at fault here, but will suffer the consequences for someone else’s negligenceDo we want to “recoup the cost” of the repair? Absolutely! Are we willing to risk our reputation and losing other jobs over it? Absolutely not! We have no way of knowing what *** has or has not done regarding this issue, as we are not part of the claim that was supposed to be filed, therefore we are not privy to any information regarding what has happened with the claim between Mr*** and ***.In the end, I guess he will get his ransom, as we now have no choice but to go fix the issue, and pay for the repair out of our pocket instead of being paid by the shingle manufacturer to do it, in order to resolve this complaint so that it doesn’t do further damage to our standing with the Revdex.com and future customersWe will be in touch with the customer to schedule said repair in the near futureSincerely*** ***CEORoofing Siding Gutter Contractors, LLC“RSGC

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The contractor says that I did not let them finishTheir crew stayed until just before dark to finish and then the foreman (someone other than the salesman/owner) knocked on my door and he walked around the house with me to inspect what they had accomplishedThey absolutely thought they were finishedOn his second point he has consistently denied the truth of our conversationHe tried to talk me into not removing the shingles and I told him that I had repaired a couple of trusses when I first bought the place and wanted to have the wood inspected and I also did not want to have all that weight on the houseHe is correct that I do want to make this a rental some day and the bargain was to make the outside maintenance free; meaning that all wood would be covered and the house would be secure from the elementsThis did not occurI just had a well known contractor give me estimates to correct what is wrongI quote "this is the worst roofing and siding job I have seen in twenty years." I will make the point again that my carbon copy of the contract proves he was supposed to tears off shingles

[redacted] states that she did not know that she was signing a contract. Why on Earth would you give a down payment on your special order metal if you did not know that you were signing a contract???? We require EVERYONE who chooses a special order material to pay a down payment and our dealings...

with [redacted] are exactly why we do it. We now have over $2200(which is the amount she paid us) worth of metal that has been cut to fit her roof sitting at our shop that is completely useless to us. Yet she expects us to refund her money, we are in the hole on this job. Not only was the material more than what she paid, but we have made multiple trips to her house, which is about an hour from our office. She states that she was told that we would do the job for what she got from insurance. What she was actually told was that the job could be done for insurance pricing. She neglects to mention that she had no idea what kind of insurance policy she had signed, and that in fact, that policy is the whole reason this job became such a mess. The type of policy she has does not pay for replacement cost of her roof, so insurance pricing vs what she gets paid by insurance are worlds apart. Somehow this turned out to be our fault, like we had something to do with the type of policy that she chose for her home. We will not be issuing a refund, we will be taking a copy of her contract, her check and the material invoice with us to small claims court, where [redacted] has filed a claim against us.

We are going to court today, 9/23/16, over this. I will update with the outcome ASAP. As for another response being requested, I'm not sure what else there is to say other than we never once received a request from her insurance company to fax anything to them. I do recall [redacted] requesting it one time, and then she decided she didn't want us doing the job and wanted her material deposit back. At that point there was not point in dealing with her insurance company.

Revdex.com:
Mr. P. is clearly angry by all this but he well knew I was still working with the insurance trying to get an engineer to come out. Mr. Plunkett told us two different times of metal being bought. First time he said it to us. Then he told my insurance weeks later that he hadn't ordered it yet. My insurance said he just told me he'd ordered ut likely to attempt to keep the job. However when he was ask for a dated reciept he refused to give it to me or the insurance. Mr. Plunkett offered me a stock item and color which he had in his truck on a chain (like a paint choice) of stock metal that he and his co partner who owns the sheet metal business from. There was no special order. I have photos but your site does not take them. Mr. P. said in front of witnesses that he does these metal roofs all the time and being co partnered with the metal company he gets it for less or equal to traditional shingkes. Mr.P. business states they will do free estimates and deal with adjusters and issues at no charge. Mr. P. is simply taking revenge on us and the insurance agreed and told me to get someone else out here so the work can be done. Mr. P. would not reply or react to calls from my agent and told my husband that not only was he keeping the $2200, that he'd be sending us a bill for more money. All because he was mad. Mr. P. does houses just like mine all the time. He is just retaliating. Please help us. He never raised a hammer. He only met once with an adjuster whom he was going to attempt to get a 20 x 20 storage shed considered totaled to get additional money. Mr. P. is a dishonest man who tricked a woman into signing a contract claiming it was an estimate.Than you, [redacted]

On the roofing contract the tear off box is not checked, but it states 1 layer. On the second line in the notes block it states "Tear off 1 layer 25 year 3tab shingles" I know it is hard to see on this scanned copy, but it is there and my carbon copy original is light, but it is clear enough to hold up in court and he altered his copy. Any mark on his should be on mine!

I hired pools plus, monroe, ct to fix my pool chlorinator. They came today and replaced it. They left the old one. They also broke my bleeder valve on the filtration tank and rather than fix it, they used rubber tubing, a couple of clamps and a cork to bloke the leak they caused. I went down to the store and they denied everything! I have pictures etc.... How could they deny this! I fired them for the remainder of the season and they didn't seem to care one bit How are they still in business ? What can I do?

My complaint is by no means resolved. This company basically came back and said they will not back up the warranty for defective workmanship and materials so I am left with a defective roof that needs to be replaced and they refuse to do it. I want to make sure no one else uses them and ends up in the same situation as I have. Thanks. [redacted]

Let's start with "The rest of the work was poorly 'finished' throughout."  The work was not finished because Mr. [redacted] would not allow us to finish. "The salesman changed his contract to appear that I agreed to no tear-off of shingles." The "salesman" is the owner of the company, this is...

a pretty serious accusation. The contract was never written to tear 2 layers of anything off, as it was being written, it was to tear off 1 layer, but before anything was signed it was changed to zero, so on this point I don't know what to say. We have spoken to the code department of Boone County and were told that codes are guidelines, not laws, and if the customer does not want to follow code, there is no law stating they cannot. The customer stated that this home was eventually going to be a rental property and that he did not want to put any more money in it than he had to. That is why the shingles were not priced to be torn off. Our original contract with him was only for the siding/wood/gutter/fascia work. Upon that visit we told him to contact his insurance company about his roof, he did, and they paid him to have the roof replaced. The lien is already in motion. He has been sent, and received, the Notice of Intent, which is required by the state to be sent and the customer given 10 days notice. That 10 days ends tomorrow, so on Wednesday the 17th, we will be at the court house to place the lien on the property. All info will then be forwarded to our attorney, at which time interest will be added to the amount due, as well as any legal costs. We will not agree to let another contractor come and finish the work, as we were never allowed to finish it. If Mr. [redacted] would like to have the work completed by us, we need to receive some sort of payment before doing so, as he has made it perfectly clear that he has no intention of paying us.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   I reject the response and don't appreciate the bullying threat of legal action by Donnette P. whose name is signed on the response from RSGC to the Revdex.com dated 9/23/16.It's true that due to the lack of a needed copy of a dated text sent from RSGC (Mr. P.) and one sent by myself that mutally ended doing business together. That copy of the text is why they dismissed my case. I did however send it to the Revdex.com so even though my attempt at representing myself failed, it still is what it is. I signed what I believed to be an estimate and it was concealed to me that it was a contract. I trusted RSGC to my own demise.BUYER BEWARE. In responding to this highly aggressive posting by Mr. P. wife Donnette who I have never spoken to or seen I will simply state .the facts. Those being that on or around July 26th I ask Mr. P. to not buy or order any material due to further insurance monies to come. They had errored in dating my home as being built in 1990, when it was actually built in 1999. This was going to pay additional monies that may have brought in enough to have Mr. P. do the needed three roofs to be compliant with my policy. In all the text and coorespondence and there was lots of it, I always told Mr. P. his verbal estimates were to high. I had ask in the beginning for shingled roofs and I would purchase the shingles as I saw them at a very affordable price at a local lumber yard.Mr. P. told me that he could do Metal for the price of shingles. This was a very attractive offer. So I agreed to let him price me a estimate for metal. I had a set amout of 6K to do a manufactured home [which he has one on his web site at RSGC.net] and is placing a red metal over shinge. This is near the same as my own home. It also says on his site several times NOT TO GIVE ANY CONTRACTOR MONEY UP FRONT. I have found that this is a smoke and mirror advertisement. I say this because in the response here on the Revdex.com Mr. P. states that ALL METAL ROOFS ARE SPECIAL ORDER. It however does not say that on his site.Further Mr. P. is and states on his site that he is co partnered with Burch Sheet Metal as their supplier, yet I called and got a off the street non contractor price of 2200.00. Certainly if he is co partnered with the metal company as its stated on his site, he would certainly get at minimum a contractors discount. At our hearing I did finally get to see what he refused to show me or my insuraqnce agent and that was the reciept dated 8/23/16. This was well after we ended business. He easily could have canceled his order and not took advantage of a signed estimate that turned out to be a contract. Buyer Beware I sent information to the Revdex.com that shows I tried repeatedly to contact Mr. P. to tell him I was not going to be able to afford his pricing. He delayed and avoided my calls on many occasions once being an 11 day gap from my attempt to reach him until he finally responded.Buyer Beware that he states in his Revdex.com response that he was now stuck with useless metal. That isnt even possible as his website sates he does 1,000's of roofs. One again is pictured on his own site that is like mine. aHe certainly will use that metal and would be foolish not to. so Mr. P. got my 2200 plus the metal which absolutely can be used on other jobs. Buyer Beware Mr. P. has other complaints with the Revdex.com and the other sites that threat tactics are used and are available for you to read on your own.I am ashamed to have let myself be douped but it is what it is, Mr. P. well knew my spouse was ill and unable to take care of this insurance matter as he was a police officer that was injusred in the line of duty. Therfore I had to do this foreign job on my own. Mr. P. also knew my spouse was a Purple Heart war vet. and that we was raising our abused grandson without any real finacial assistance. I made it very clear that I had a set amout to spend. He did not have to get this material and considering his co partnering with the sheet Metal company, it would have been a simple call to stop them from cutting this metal. He avoiding my calls and ordering the material was deliberate and unsavory. Buyer Beware Mr. P. bullying and threats made in his last response and the other sarcastic remarks made during this Revdex.com complaint should be enough to show all future buyers that if your offered METAL, plan on paying up front and be sure your in the know that a contract has been signed that has a full page of stipulations on the back of it [something that was never shown to me] thaqt states if you, or he cancel, he gets to keep your money and will charge 15% in addition to the original estimate. Buyer Beware - read other Revdex.com and additional statements from others that he has bullied or not followed through with his promises. I am still seeking a full refund but would allow Mr. P. his 15% of the 2200 he took from us. Other than that I want nothing further to do with Him, His wife or their company. If this is not acceptable even with the knowledge that I was smoke and mirrored I can only hope this complaint will make all Buyers Beware of RSGC. Be it know to that he has complaints out of [redacted] Another from [redacted] and yet another from [redacted]. Thank you for being here Revdex.com. God knows at times your the only way to get the word out on companies with less than savory practices. Regards,

Hi [redacted]Thanks for your inquiry. The answer you seek is simple.RSGC Roofing has NOT called or contacted me to setup the date for the fixing of my roof.1st (original Revdex.com complaint [redacted]): Their response was a letter of excuses and a promise to be in touch.I “accepted” their promise in the Revdex.com online system... but it NEVER HAPPENED. NO CALL.2nd Revdex.com complaint [redacted]:  Got an email from RSGC that they “hadnt forgotten me” and now that theyre“caught up” with other jobs they’d be in touch... but it NEVER HAPPENED. NO CALL.My attorney sent a letter to RSGC to discuss the matter (letter dated 8-31)... NO RESPONSE. NO CALL.Now this complaint [redacted]: Which youre asking about now? ... NO RESPONSE. NO CALLI’ve just filed a complaint with the KY Attorney Generals Office... copy provided to RSGC... NO RESPONSE. NO CALL.1 year and 2 months and all excuses and promises so far. NO ACTION BY RSGC TO RESOLVE.I’m certain Donnette Plunkett will provide more excuses and promises, but I assure you thatmy home voicemail and email are checked DAILY. And I’ve received NOTHING.Maybe you can mention that the much cheaper option of FIXING my roofwill quickly change to a COMPLETE REFUND of the 6082.45 (+ court costs)if this matter is not resolved soon. Please do all that you can to help.[redacted]
