Greetings to Revdex.com [Central, Northern & Western Arizona]:

COMPLAINT-Regarding Porter Electronics .com

Earlier in July 2014 this writer took interest in the above noted business site on the Internet. I was interested in one of two (02) items so advertised. However, before I could place an order, a few questions had to be verified FIRST.

) Tried placing a telephone calls [July 17th & July 23rd] and left a US number to respond back to. As of this date I still am waiting for a return call!

) Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 12:50 AM EST I dispatched a Email making mention to the aforementioned. As of this date still no Email reply ... to include checking my Junk mail.

) July 29, 2014 I dispatched a tangible letter, which included copies of the aforementioned, address "CONFIDENTIAL" to "Mr. [redacted]" and as of this date NO REPLY WHATSOEVER.

This writer would appreciate a formal and proper response from:

.Porter Electronics; AND

.Revdex.com

This writer is very suspicious that had I placed an order with Porter Electronics, I may or may NOT have received the merchandise and forfeited my money. AND if I had received the merchandise and required additional Porter Electronic customer support ... knowing what I KNOW NOW, there is ZERO customer support!

We appreciate your business.  Due to the crazy rush with the holidays we ended up getting back ordered on this product.  I apologize for this.   We have issued a full refund.   Let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

We also had a delivery issue with Porter Electronics. We ordered 2 VCR's on May 1st. On May 8th they supplied a tracking number which did not work on the UPS site. On May 18th I contacted them and they said also that there was a remote problem and that they would be shipped the next morning. I thought they claimed they were shipped on the 8th???? This seemed to be quite a red flag. After 18 days of no product and an obvious lie we decided to cancel. They did respond promptly to my email and said they would credit our credit card. They stated that contacting my credit card company was overkill on our part. But I think it was justified in assuring a good outcome. I would not do business with them again.

Prior to this complaint, we are not showing any incoming calls that we received from this customer.  I do show that on Feb. 19th we did get a call and this was resolved over the phone.  A full refund was issued back to the customer.

Is this company still in business? I've been calling/emailing them for weeks...no response. What's up?

I ordered a VCR from [redacted]. Tehy stated it shipped 7-1-2014. When I went to UPS to track , they had no records of the shipment. I wrote to [redacted] and they stated the VCR had not been shipped due to no having a remote. The ad stated the remote would be the original. I it is a universal remote I will not be able to use the full function of the VCR. If porter is an honest company why didi the give me a shipping date and tracking numer that was flase. I feel I have been screwed out of $80. I will never do business with porter again.

Review: I ordered a thermal printer from their website, did not hear anything from them for several days. Sent the a message using their website contact form, no response. They do not list their phone number on their website I had to dig in order to find it, called the number and there is no options to speak with anyone.Desired Settlement: cancel the order and refund me my money, I did not want to have to file a formal complaint however there was no other way to reach the company and they failed to respond to my inquiry

I needed an old school camera for my high school son for photography class...p[redacted] had the best price with a 90 day return policy. Had a small problem with the shipping but they were very quick to fix it.....I will be purchasing another camera from them. The camera was in excellent working order too!

Review: I placed an order on Dec 12th. It took them no time to take our money but as of now, I still not received my order. I got an email with my order number but no tracking or shipping info. I have called and called during business hours. I have left messages. They never answer the phone not even during business hours. They never return my calls. I want my order or my money back.Desired Settlement: I expect to hear from them. I expect my order or my money back.

Review: On February 2nd, 2014 I ordered a new VHS tape player for Porter Electronics. I received a order confirmation and my Paypal account was charged. When more than a week passed and I had not received the item I checked back with the company and received an automated email advising the my order had shipped. This was on February 11th. On February 12 I used the Tracking number to attempt to track the package but UPS advises a Label was issued but as of February 19th at 9PM Pacific they have not received a package for shipment. I have sent three emails and left two voice messages with Porter Electronics and have not received any contact.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel my order and have my Paypal credited.

I have done business with Mr [redacted] on two or three occasions -- all have been pleasant experiences. On the second occasion, I received a VCR that did not work properly. He immediately replaced it with one that did work, and told me to keep the old one. After fiddling with the original, I got it to play old tapes (and it records picture but not sound). I offered to pay for the VCR play function, but he refused. A more honest man, you'll never meet.

A very favorable business transaction. Totally impressed with Porter Electronics commitment to customer satisfaction.
