Premier Chevrolet of Buena Park Reviews (22)

Review: I recently went into Premier Chevrolet of Buena Park to purchase a vehicle. I was de-frauded and lied to regarding the purchase of the vehicle and the purchase amount. Not only was final sales pricing an issue, this company lied verbally to my face after I repeatedly asked important questions regarding the physical issues with the car.Originally the purchase price of the vehicle was agreed upon as $35,000 with $10,000 down. Due to the dealership closing early, they rushed my husband and I out of the lot with the car as a loaner until morning. The following morning we came back to finish signing the paperwork and to have the car cleaned etc. Since the Finance Rep hadn't reviewed the paperwork with me I quickly glanced thru it and signed. HUGE MISTAKE. Car buying 101 which I failed to take the time to read. I specifically asked the finance rep what a $2500 charge on the paperwork was for when he stated that it was a fee the bank was charging them to process the loan. Come to find out from Zarhi the general manager, the fee was for an extended warranty on the vehicle. Which I was never asked if I had wanted originally. At the bottom of one of the forms, there was a line that had the total purchase price of the vehicle as $34,571 not far off from the agreed $35,000. Not only did the Finance Rep not disclose to me the CORRECT purchase price,he also failed to inform me of the interest rate which I would be charged. A whopping 12.39%. Come to find out this dealership charged me $44,571! TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE THAN WHAT WAS AGREED UPON!Kelly Blue Book value of this vehicle I purchased was $34,000.00.Not only was the FINANCE DEPT a complete fraudulent sham, they even went as far in telling me that all of my concerns with the vehicle were covered under warranty and that the service department would fix/replace the issues I had. Bald tires, metal exposed broken fixtures. I asked 2 different finance guys and was told the same answer. In reality the service dept. does NOT do this. TOO MANY PROBLEMS!Desired Settlement: This dealership needs to be investigated regarding their sales practices. They are fraudulently submitting information to banks to push thru car loans to make a sale. They are miss-informing consumers about purchase prices, interest rates, vehicle warranties, service repairs and more. All of the employees at this dealership need to take a long ETHICS course. Their actions are not ethically nor morally appropriate. I'm a Hispanic Female purchasing a vehicle and was taken advantage of.

Response:

This customer came into our dealership on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Having been told the price of the vehicle prior to their arrival. Upon doing a credit check and getting all the necessary information together for a bank approval, We were unable to secure the financing on that day. We explained to them that the rate would be dependent on the lender. They returned the following morning, Sunday, March 23, 2014 and consummated the transaction. Prior to going into the Finance Department to finanlize all the paperwork, We disclosed every penny, every detail, the terms accepted by our lender and moved forward. The customer and her husband were present at all times and were not rushed as she puts it since it was Sunday morning and they had all the time in the world to read through the paperwok. We did not hear from them until approxiamtely 2-3 weeks later when they showed up at our dealership.

I greeted them upon their arrival some 2-3 weeks after they had purchased the Suburban and stated to me that they had concerns about the purchase. This was the first time we had any contact with them since the purchase. As the General Manager, I sat with them and went over their entire contract line by line. In her complaint to the Revdex.com, she states that she purchased an extended service contract without her knowledge. I provided her multiple copies of documents as required by State and Federal law that are a requirement with her signature and acknowledgement. I then proceeded to offer to cancel the extended service contract if she would like and she stated that she would rather keep the warranty. She also complained about the APR of 12.39% and explained to her that it was because of her credit history and nothing else. I also provided her a copy of our lender's "callback document" showing her the bank's buy rate. Premier Chevrolet did not markup the APR as she claimed. That matter was justified and she accepted the facts as such. The converation then turned to some items of concerns on the vehicle which, given the situation, I agreed to accomodate her although they were not on the 'due bill'. I also agreed to replace one of the tires as well. I introduced her and her husband to my Service Manager, made notes of the items to be addressed and offered to provide her a loaner car when she was to bring the Suburban back. She stated that it would not be necessary. When they came back to pick up the Suburban, I can honestly say that they were(showed) in complete satisfacton with the work we had done. We had completed all her requests and there was no other outstanding item or concern. That was how things were left. I had also offered my business card for them to reach me in the future for any and all concerns should the need arise. I have/had not heard from them until this complaint to the Revdex.com. This is unfortunate to say the least.

General Manager

Premier Chevrolet

Made an appointment for my older Chevrolet vehicle. Their Service Manager turned me away, saying it would take at least a week for their technician to get to it. In other words, they only accept the easy jobs. Apparently they forgot how to work on their older vehicles, and/or refuse to take responsibility for the flaws they were built with. If I were able to charge $130 PER HOUR, I'd be willing to work on antique vehicles.
