We have tried resolving this matter, but without any communication from Mrs. [redacted] there is little that we can do. We are unable to control the circumstances of any...

individual's credit and try to work with any potential homeowners where we can. Due to Mrs. [redacted] lack of response to our attempts to contact her, we have had no choice but to send a letter requesting she close within 5 days time as per Article 4 in her Purchase Agreement. If she is unable to do so, or does not reach out to us for further evaluation, we will have no choice but to cancel the contract, as we cannot hold the home any longer. It is with great disappointment that we have been unable to reach an amicable agreement as of yet, and we offer our greatest apologies for any inconveniences or disappointments.

Village are closely monitored by the city and we have received no violations
regarding trash, weeds, or mowingAfter an inspection of the lots, we were
unable to find any garbage or anything to be regarded as "trashy and
ugly",

natural wildlife, so we suggest anyone in the outdoors at any time, please be
aware of their surroundings as it is common for animals to be present outsideHowever, due to your concerns, we have had the lots freshly mowed as a

Anglia Homes builds all over the
Houston area, and as such has different schedules regarding when to build

Regretfully, we made the decision to invo*e Paragraph Seven of the Purchase Agreement, which was signed by the potential home buyers, and states:   "If Seller, in its sole discretion, determines that it is not able to construct the improvements to the property to Purchaser's satisfaction, if Seller determines that an irreconcilable dispute has arisen between Seller and Purchaser or if Seller is not able to perform hereunder for any other reason beyond its control, including, but not limited to, its inability to acquire title to the lot designated above, this contract shall terminate upon Seller's giving Purchaser five days written notice and returning of Purchaser's Earnest Money. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to meI would like to say that due to the new Superintendent that took over the construction of our home was the best move Anglia could have made.  He was amazing and pulled off the impossible, during our walk through on [redacted] we were pleasantly suprised what he completed and it looked great.  A few minor paint touch ups which is normal and that allowed us to breathe easy, he is a force to be wreckened with and Anglia should be thankful they have someone like him to complete their homes to a homeowners satisfaction!  There were several bumps in the road but we are pleased to say we are in our home and slowly settling in.  One thing is I would not reccommend using their financial ([redacted]) the issues with them is one I still am upset about and have already begun working with my credit union to get rid of them.  I realize I can be difficult however I became that way due to the way I was treated.  They do not listen to you, you are rushed when asking questions, and of course blamed if something is wrong.  Our closing went fine, at first.  We left about 15 min into our drive home we were called from [redacted] because the cashiers check for our down payment did not have our bank name listed on it, well I knew that and told that the day before when I was called because our bank is actually back home in [redacted] (we were told to keep it to show banking history) we use a shared banking branch here.  The shared bank would not issue a cashiers check as we were not account holders with their bank., we took the cash out and went to another bank (that I am joint acount holder with my [redacted]) and they issued me a cashiers check so I assumed all was fine.  When he called me he had an attitude and said "you did not do what I told you to do" I was taken back at his aggresive tone, I told him no I told you it would not have our bank name on it you asked HOW we did our banking here and I explained that.  As my [redacted] and I listened to him and they way he was talking to me I told him I will call the title company and deal with them and I hung up.  All in all about 5 hours later I had my bank (back in [redacted]) wire the money and all was done.  The home is beautiful and I am happy but I am not satisfied with the financial aspect and would NOT reccommend anyone use them..

Anglia Homes made many mista*es in the communication of our contract. They believe that refunding our money bac* would satisfy us. The truth to of the matter is that we were told to sale our house of 16 years in order to purchase their home. We did what we were suppose to and sold our house after signing the contract with the word of Anglia.   Anglia *new we had sold our house and proposed two options to us. Move to a smaller lot or move locations. We told Anglia that we would move locations for the same price. However, Anglia did not want to honor the same price at the new location because they would not receive a profit. Anglia wanted to pass the extra cost of $25,000 to us. Anglia made many mista*es on our contract and did not want to ma*e it right. They were not willing to ta*e a loss in profit on their behalf but rather to pass it to us.

The contract was cancelled 01/29/17 and an [redacted] was issued 02/03/17 and mailed out the same day. It appears that the check was never received by the potential buyer, but we were not informed as such. A new check has been issued 04/19/17. If the check has not yet been received,...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  The builder has told us that they would refund our earnest money but we have not yet recieved it. Furthermore, we believe our request regarding Anglia's advertisements and contracting practices are more than fair. Property values have increased since we entered the agreement. Anglia stood to benefit from running us off and we have lost out on the market. Furthermore, Anglia's position about the floorplan being an artists rendering and "approximate" simply is not true. Anglia does not use the same renderings for this floorplan in all of thier neighborhoods. In fact they change out the floorplans to show the difference between neighborhoods where this plan has a two car garage and neighborhood where this plan has a three car garage. Anglia is the advertiser and the sole drafter of thier contracts. When we asked for a more detailed plan for the contract, Anglia told us no. We didn't find out until the house framing was complete. And when we brought the problem up to Anglia, they led us on for three weeks telling us everything would be ok. They would talk to the contractor. It would get fixed etc. before they decided to tell us that the house had been built exactly according to the plans they had for it all along and that somehow the problem was all OUR FAULT! Baloney.We are not talking about an error in an artists rendering. We can understand that minor changes in the building process sometimes occur. Sometimes things are a few inches off for this reason or that reason.  We can even understand that sometimes floorplan dimensions may have to be rounded to save space in an advertisement. But what Anglia is doing is blantant, knowing, and purposeful false advertisement. Anglia had plently of opportunities to cleary and fairly disclose to us in writing that the house they would be building for us would be SIGNIFICANTLY different than what they advertised and attached to our contract. Anglia knew all along that half of the bedrooms in th home would be shaped entirely different from the floorplans in the contract and advertisements. Anglia knew all along that the house they intended to build would be nearly 100 square feet smaller than what they advertised and attached to our contract. Anglia is knowingly continuing to use deceptive practices and preying on consumers trust. I can only hope that this problem is constrained to [redacted].
