TOTAL FRAUD!! DO NOT BUY THESE
I received two $100 visa gift cards from my employer around mid-December 2021. I used most of one (except for about $4) pretty quickly after receiving, but held on to the other until January. I tried to use the 2nd $100 gift card for an online purchase, only to find out it had been used 2x at a Target in CA (I live in VA). The other card I did use was also wiped clean of the remaining $4. After calling, being on hold, filling out the PAPER dispute form and mailing it back to them within 5 business days, about 3 weeks later I received a dispute resolution letter. This letter told me that the dispute was resolved in my favor and that $99 would be credited to my account. Upon checking my balance immediately after reading the letter at www.prepaidgiftcardbalance.com (after several rounds of dreaded browser spin time), it is STILL a $0 balance. The letter specifically said it would be credited on 02/17/22. I received the letter today (02/28/22). What the hell? I'm now on hold going on at least 10 min and being told how important my call is to them. Yeah. :< Can I put a zero star?

Prepaidgiftbalance.com scammed me out of my $100 gift card Christmas present from my mother.
I opened the gift card package on 12/22/20, retrieved the 4 digit security pin number from inside the package and went online to activate. The sight said my balance was zero with a purchase of an amazon transaction I verified from amazon was fake below:

I found out through their agent that prepaidgiftbalance.com changed the security pin to the last four digits of the card number a few months ago bypassing the internal security pin code provided.

I contacted 1-888-853-9536 provided on the US Bank gift card and after a three hour hold I was told I can not access the card without proof of ownership of the original purchase receipt.

I spoke to Abigail and Vanessa who provided me a laborious process to retrieve my money after I provide them the purchase receipt and saying I must only fax them the substantial amount of information required to gain access to the account. The representatives were abusive and dismissive regarding my fraud claim and never gave me the full retrieval information details.  After the call they cancelled my card account so now I have no access to the fake amazon purchase details. Luckily I saved the details through amazon’s fraud department.

It is my belief this company is directly stealing money from consumers through a fake amazon company scam and a rigorous process to report the fraud and retrieve the stolen money.

Numerous similar complaints are filed against Prepaidgiftbalance.com at the better business bureau.

I'm having a problem as well concerning a refund of a product that I did not receive. In fact, my gift card was suspended. So ,even if the company that neglected to provide me with the product I paid for wanted to refund my money, they cannot because Prepaid Gift Balance suspended the card! Prepaid gift balance wants me to continually call them. Why should I continually call them. They know what needs to be done. I'm seriously looking into a class action lawsuit against Prepaid gift balance. I need individuals who are willing to join my potential action. Also, I'm considering approaching outlets that sell their cards and inform these outlets that the cards are a fraudulent scheme and should not be sold by any outlet.

Unable to use visa gift card after registering online.
I received a visa prepaid gift card online and I registered it online. I went to use it at my local Walmart and it was declined. When I got home I called the number on the back of the card and was told by a customer service rep name "Felisha" that she could register the card for me. I gave her my information and she told me to wait one hour before using the card I waited the next day and went back to Walmart, only to be told that the card was inactive. Today on 9/25/2020 I called the number on the card again and this is the message I received. "The customer care center is under maintenance and to call back after 3 am central standard time. I immediately called back and the message said, " customer service is experiencing a high number of calls and the wait time would be very high." It never let me be put on hold to wait for someone to answer it only let me give my card number to hear the balance.

I would like for the business to refund the amount of the card.

Received a $100 card as a gift. Tried to register the card on their site (www.prepaidgiftbalance.com). Site is fake - I just get "Error" after about a minute of browser churning. Tried this on multiple browsers - same result.
How can VISA allow such a fraudulent company to use their branding on what is obviously a scam?
DO NOT EVER PURCHASE VISA GIFT CARDS FOR ANYONE, BUT ESPECIALLY FROM THIS COMPANY. Get gift cards from a legitimate company like Amazon.

I was given a gift card For $100 from this company.
I have tried to use it repeatedly. It failed every time. Registered it, failed again.
Thieves.
Unfortunately I thought that when I registered it and added it to my amazon account... it was working.

Turns out it wasn't and now thanks to these thieves... I now have credit card bills to pay... and they have failed to give my MY money... this disgusting and is absolutely not okay.

Trying to reach dispute department since Monday 8/24/20 Im able to get costumer services, then transferred to dispute, on hold for hrs no answer.
Trying to reach dispute department since Monday 8/15/20 I'm able to get costumer services, then transferred to dispute, on hold for hrs no answer. Unauthorized Funds on my account for $55.00 on 8-14-20. Just trying to get my amount on balance for $100.00, without any fees added. I have spoken to two people within each week since the charges happened, and each time they referred me to call back. Now into week three and can't seem to get threw to anyone, on hold hours at a time, I have called x3 times in this week 8-24-20

Worst service ever. Bought 25$ gift card to son. Registered it on-line. After trying to purchase apps in apple store was declined and locked. Apple do not support it. Card is not returnable. lost time and money.

I am expecting a refund on my card from another company that I made a purchase with, yet I am unable to check my balance online and confirm that I did receive my refund. I only have a small window of time to request another refund if they don't process it properly. I can't even gain access to know if they did or not because the prepaidgiftbalance site doesn't work and I'm on hold for ages when I call with the number provided. I just simply want access to MY own card that has MY own money on it. And the fact that it has been this same issue for me for almost 2 weeks now with no solution is very frustrating.

I tried to register my card online and was told the card number and the security code did not match. When I called customer service to see what was wrong they gave no explanation as to why the card and the security code did not match. They told me I was locked out of my card for 24 hours and no one could unlock it. I spoke to a customer service rep and a manager who were both extremely rude and did not answer any of my questions and did not help get my card registered. So now I have a locked unregistered card and have no idea how to use it.

Not able to use the card
I had to register it online to e able to use it. Got locked out for 48 hours and now I can even check on the website for any info on the card. I have called them multiple times and get the same run around. (Website must have a glitch, or the merchant has an issue, but keep trying) then get locked out for multiple fails. This is the worse giftcard company ever!

bought a prepaid visa debit gift card from krogres and cannot use it. it has funds but the card is rejected when I try to use. company unavailable.
I bought a prepaid Visa gift card at the local king suppers in conifer co. I registered it with the company but cant use the card it is always declined. the card has funds on it
but the company cannot be reached and the web site doesn't work. I feel like I have lost the money and the company should be charged with fraud.

I was given a $100 PrepaidGiftBalance VISA card as a gift in April 2020. I only used it a couple of times because a lot of vendors would not accept it. In late June, I tried to use it at a couple of vendors that do accept this card but it was rejected. I tried contacting PrepaidGiftBalance at the number on the back of the card. I called several times and it just kept me on hold until I couldn't wait any longer. The 4th time I called, I waited over 40 minutes before someone finally came on the line. Please note that they do allow you to contact them online, send an email, or chat with them via their website. They don't even list an address on their website for you to write them a letter. They only way to contact them is to wait on the phone for until someone picks up the phone; very, very frustrating. When I finally spoke with someone, they determined that fraud was committed on the card and the remaining balance of $41.49 was used by an unauthorized user. They said they would send me some documents to sign and then they would conduct a fraud investigation which would take up to 90 days before the refund my money. A month later I contacted them again because I never received any paperwork. They said they would resend me the paperwork to sign. And of course, upon receipt of my signed paperwork back they would begin their 90 day fraud investigation. It's not a lot of money and the $41.49 would not change my life. This company is just taking advantage of consumers and should be exposed. Please, please, please do not purchase a VISA gift card from this company.

Don't buy these gift cards they dont work well and if you need support and call the number it will just tell you that they're busy and you wont be able to talk to anyone I purchased 2 things on amazon the first said payment declined then after it finally worked I had a problem with my second purchase the transaction has been on pending for 4 days save your money

Gift card will not work and customer service keeps disconnecting my call after hours on hold.Still can not use card.
My son bought my daughter a $100 visa gift card from Ralph's in June 2020 for her birthday. The first time she tried to use it, it did not work. We called the company and they said it had not been activated (even though I watched the cashier activate it). My daughter was able to then make one purchase for about $10. The second time she tried to use it, the card was declined. I called customer service and they said there were fraudulent charges. I was told I needed to register the card and she asked for my address and name. The phone call was then disconnected. I have called back multiple times and been on hold for hours without being able to reach a person. When I finally reached a rep, she asked for my phone number, and the call was then disconnected. I have called back multiple times and still can not reach a person after literally hours on hold. I feel so bad for my 13 year old son who wanted to give a generous gift to his sister and now, she can't even use it. This company is absolutely the worst! I want a refund!

Fraud issues are disregarded. I received a prepaidgiftbalance gift card for $100 from my father in law for christmas which he bought from a local Ralph,s grocery store and when registering the card it showed 0 balance. I contacted their customer service to resolve the issue and was told that it showed multiple transactions 2 years previous for several small amounts then the balance of the 100 dollars in a area 200 + miles away. They would not address the issue of fraud and said that my father in law probably used it and forgot. He is 80 years old and only drives around his town and this response was totally unacceptable. They said that since it was so long ago it was out of their hands and not their problem. Their customer service number will no longer pick up and keeps you on a indefinite crackling hold. Do not trust this company they are stealing your money.

I received a $100 visa gift card and I cant use the card. Called customer service, they say I need a receipt. I dont have the receipt
I received this $100 gift card a while ago, never used it and now when I tried to use It says call customer service.
I tried for online shopping, I tried at the store, no luck.
We called customer service, we ve been told that the card is registered on somebody elseS name and we need to reregister under my name.
So here is information we asked to fax:
1. My CA ID back and front
2. Card id# XXXXXXXXXX
3. Good callback number
4. And The receipt.
Now, regarding the receipt. We told the associates that we dont have a receiPt to which she said no problem,write a letter that you dont have a receipt and you need to register the card under your name.
We faxed everything, never got a respond. Today I called again, talk to a representitive and a supervisor and was told that Everything received but The back office does not accept the letter without a receipt.
No contact info for that back office.

I was given a gift card and the balance was stolen. I tried to report the fraud and they would leave me on hold for hours.
I recieved a gify card for $100 on Father's Day June 21, 2020. On July 12, 2020 I tried to register the card online so I could make online purchases with it. When I entered the card info, it said I had a $0 balance. I immediately called customer service and they said someone used the $100 at a grocery store (Kroger affiliate) in Colorado (I live in TX). Customer service said they could deactivate the card and tranfer me to the fraud dept to open a case. I was on hold for 1.5 hrs and no one picked up. I called again the next day (7-13-2020) and the same thing. They tranfered me to the fraud dept and I was on hold for 2.5 hrs and no one picked up. I called the third day (7-14-2020) and instead of a customer service agent picking up, there was a recording from a movie playing in the background. I hung up and called back, but this time no answer. I was left on hold again.

I had been given the Visa gift card and was not able to register the card. I was not able to resolve the issue online nor the phone number given.
The gift card that I received from this company is basically useless. I am unable to get my giftcard registered nor am I was not able to talk to anyone via the phone number on the giftcard. It is impossible to talk to anyone to resolve the problem.

My card is inaccessible both online and in person, and neither the website nor the phone number work so I feel duped.
I got a $25 gift card for my birthday in may. obviously, I wasn't suspicious because it was visa and visas reliable and it was from my dear grandparents. upon trying to activate my card for online purchases, I would click the "activate/register card" option or whatever but it would just take me to the same page. I can't use the card at all. the website now won't even let me log in and the phone line is a joke. there is no customer service, all you can do is check your balance. based on others similar experiences, this is a massive scam and really should be litigated. now my grandparents are 25 dollars short and I no longer have a birthday present. this is literally the sketchiest thing i've ever seen, please refrain from buying.

A pre-paid $50.00 mastercard way back in 2016 never used but found in 2020! Tried to activate but the site does not recognize the number.
This is about a prepaid $50.00 Mastercard gift card that was never activated nor used that was gifted to me way back. Since the expiration date isaid 11/25 I thought I have time to use the funds. I activated the card on 6/29/20, but the AI on the other line said," the 16 digit num is not recognized." After several tries and long que, I finally talked to a live representative and told me that indeed the card is not recognized. She then gave me a number to call that might help me with so called archived cards. Well, this new entity told me that they don't service my card. So I went back called (again) the prepaid Mastercard. And again, after many tries and long que, I spoke to a live person but this time I asked for the supervisor. Waited for a lifetime and the supervisor came through and said, "I can't help you because you did not activate your number and we have no record etc." I explained to her that the fineprint said that the funds are good till 11/2025. And the supevisor stuck with the issue of activation. My point was if a card was not activated then the owner was not ready to use the card. Furthermore, the declaration on the card was good till 11/25.
