that prepaid card site is a disrespect to its customers and the internet. that behavior is always escalating, therefore, they are probably stealing.
I order small purchases with these gift cards via the internet. last night, my brother wanted to buy a game for ps4 that came out today which is Friday, so I barely made it to Harris teeter to purchase one for these gift cards, I used to buy a drink at a local bar I work at, then not even 20 mins later I walk across the street to the convenient store and buy 1 Dr Pepper and a sandwich, the card worked perfectly both times and then it shut down, declined online and in person. so I went to the prepaid gift card site that's shown on the back of the card and it actually let me register it, then the site locked me out and I have not been able to fix it since....the main problem is the customer support number has hung up on me 43 times. there is no customer support through the phone, they simply do not care. I called all banks that were possibly attached to the visa company but they as well could do nothing(which on their part they have done nothing wrong). the Prepaidgiftcardbalance.com is a crappy, they offer no help at all. I'm sure I'm not the only individual who has had this problem. I develop hardware and write software for computers. that company needs a lesson in respect. I do not want to act this way but I feel impugned and disrespected, I will shut that site down if this can not resolve in a respectable manner.

I received a $100 visa gift card and the website and phone number do not work. Funds are inaccessible and customer service is non existent.
I received a $100 gift card from this company on 6/13/2020. I tried calling the company in order to "register" my card for online purchases. The funds on my card (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) are inaccessible until I reach the company either by phone or via their website. The website (prepaidgiftbalance.com) is down completely, and the phone number (X-XXX-XXX-XXXX) hangs up on me as soon as it starts ringing.

Unable to use gift card
I received a gift card for $50.00 as a birthday gift. I was able to register it on the company's website & was able to see the card balance. On 6/7/20 I attempted to make a purchase on Walmart's website using the gift card. The transaction was declined saying card could not be verified. I attempted to login to my account to view the gift card & was unable to login. I made several attempts to contact the company on 6/7/20. Each time I was unable to connect to a live person. No matter what time I called a message would say they were extremely busy. There was no option to wait & be put in a que. I attempted again on 6/8/20, the same thing happened. I had to go into the option to report the card lost or stolen which gave me a live person to talk to. I did not have to wait which led me to believe they really were not that busy. The person on the phone was very unprofessional. I would explain my problem & he would not respond. I had to constantly ask if he was still there. He offered no solution. Told me I wasn't using the card properly. That made no sense since I was just trying to make a purchase. Also told me that the reason I can't access my account is because the website is down. I told him that was not true because I have another gift card from them & I could access that one. I also told him I was able to use that one on Walmart's website & it worked fine. I felt there was something wrong with the card. He said there was nothing wrong with it but would not offer a solution to fix this. Not even to replace the card. I'm very frustrated with this situation. I have seen other reviews of this company & almost everyone has had the same issue as me. Make me wonder why this company has not been shut down. They have very poor business ethics & don't seem to care to assist. Thank You.

I would like this company to acknowledge these issues & fix them. I want to be able to use my gift card. I shouldn't have to go back to the person that gave it to me & tell them they got me something worthless. I want the issue with the card fixed or a replacement for it.

My son purchased a Visa gift card, with $60 loaded on it. He registered the card and has been declined everytime.
The Visa gift card my son got has been declined everytime he tries to use it. He registered the card. He took it back to where he got it, the store called for him and was informed the card was ok to use. He has tried multiple times to use it and still gets declined.

Gift card number was compromised prior to me loading and purchasing the card. $500 load amount was stolen and the dispute department is not resolving.
The following is supporting documentation for my transaction dispute. The gift card I purchased, which has now been assigned with card ID XXXXXXXXXX was purchased on March 19, 2020 with an initial balance of $500. On April 3, 2020 I signed in to the web portal to activate the card and create my settings. At this time became aware that my card number had been compromised. A purchase was made at a Walmart (store #4511) in Silvis, IL for $498.74. I did not make this transaction, and I did not authorize this transaction. I immediately called customer service at this time and reported the funds from my card had been stolen. At this time, the customer service representative also explained that the situation I was in was possibly due to someone accessing and saving the card number from the unloaded gift card prior to it being purchased by me and that person waiting and checking the number consistently until it was loaded in order to steal the funds. Upon checking a map I also would like to point out that Silvis, IL is 2 hours and 30 minutes from where I purchased the card, and it is located on the opposite end of the IL border. Somehow the theif used my card number to make a physical purchase in store. The card has always been in my possession from the moment I purchased it.

Per instructions from the prepaidgiftbalance.com customer service representative, I began the process of registering the card in my name through submitting a series of proof of ownership documents via fax. I submitted my receipt for the card purchase, my ID, the front and back of the gift card, and my contact information including home address. Once the proof of ownership was established, I began the dispute process. I returned this statement along with an official dispute form back to the gift card company, on which I have indicated I did not authorize the disputed transactions and I don't know who did.

The letter was returned on May 11, 2020. I still have not received any follow up from the company. The company is claiming the letter was never received by their dispute team. I followed all instructions required of me to provide the correct documentation. Several phone calls to the company have been made, 50% of the time the "systems are down" and I am left on hold for upwards of 30 minutes at a time. There has been no progress made to resolve this issue. Calls are frequently dropped with no resolutions. There is no other contact method to reach customer service or the dispute department.

I would like a refund of $500 to a new gift card. My $500 was stolen and the proof of this was provided to the company.

Terrible company! After receiving a $250 gift card, we stored it for a couple of months. When I went online to certify it for online use, the total amount had been removed, only days after the card was purchased. I have called them a number of times to fix what is an obvious internal issue of theft and reimburse my card, and they have made me jump through hoops to communicate. I have now faxed 4 times and called 6, still not knowing if they have any intention of reimbursing our card.

DO NOT BUY THESE CARDS!

The folks at "PREPAIDGIFTBALANCE *** gladly take your money but it is IMPOSSIBLE to contact them. Their automated phone number kept cutting off the calls. There isn't any prompts for a HUMAN. I feel they should be put out of business. I'll give them 1 star but it's really a ZERO RATING.

We were denied any level of service due to locking out our account and not knowing the original balance. Now they keep our money.
We locked our account when trying to do a captcha as our computer tried to autocorrect the captcha word. We then called the phone number to confirm balance and the automated system stated that the information from the card was invalid. We then spoke with a representative on the phone and were told they would not give us any info due to us not remembering the original load balance.

We advised them that the online and phone systems were not working for us and they stated that there was nothing else they could do for us.

They are going to keep our money as we now do not have any way of accessing the money or hearing the balance. I wonder how much money they have been able to keep over the years with this practice.

UNLOCK the online account so we can verify into it and use the funds. Don't simply tell us there is nothing you can do for us, especially when one of the options to verify a balance is not available due to an issue on there system side. If the IVR was able to give us the balance we could use the card.

Received a gift card and couldn't register it on their site. After numerous attempts of trying to register the card, the site crashed saying it was "down for maintenance". Called their customer service number, but could never get a "live" person on the line.

the Company PrepaidGiftBalance.com is a ponzie scam. I received a $100.00 gift card, used it twice for a small amount then it became locked. When I called they wanted proof of ownership. I told them it was a gift received and I didn't have proof of ownership. They now have $60+ dollars since the card is locked and unusable.

Do not purchase their card or do business with them.

Purchased card. Registered card. Verified the balance, i.e. $50. Tried to use it at a site and is denied every time. Tried to contact vendor.
Card does not work. Not what it is advertised as. Site will not accept it but will accept other VISA cards. No way to contact vendor thru their phone loop. Also this card requires you to register, i.e. no way to keep identity from the person receiving gift. Suspect they will sell data. Will formally complain at store where I purchased it. THIS IS A SCAM IN MY OPINION. WILL NEVER USE ONE OF THEIR CARDS AGAIN. 10% premium on card and no service and limited use.

Visa Gift card was registered in wrong name and address. The company refuses to resolve the issue after I have provided info requested 4 times.
My son received a $50 VISA gift card from his grandfather for Christmas. He tried to register the card on the card website, however the website was not secure so he gave a fake name and fake address thinking he could use the card and not jeoparde personal information on an insecure site. He found instead he has not been able to use the card because of this. When I called the card company to explain the situation they cancelled the card and told me I would need to provide proof the card is ours. I was told to fax a copy of the card (front and back), my driver's license (front and back), and the original receipt, and the case number.They stated it would be three business days before I should call back so they had time to process everything. I did what they said and they said they never received it. I faxed everything again, waited 3 business days, and this time they said I need to make a larger copy of the receipt. I faxed a larger receipt, waited three business days, and this time they told me I should have sent all of the information along with the receipt, not just the receipt. I faxed a 4th copy of everything and waited three business days, and they said it was not received and I need to fax everything again.
It was a $50 gift card and I have possibly compromised my entire security by giving them a copy of my driver's license over and over. I told them the last time I faxed that if this was not resolved I would be reporting them to the Revdex.com. Sure enough, they have asked me for another copy of everything so here I am reporting them. I called them and found out that they are called Cardholder Services and they are out of Jacksonville Florida and they are through US Bank. Also, when we tried using my daughter's card she received at Walmart as both debit and credit, it did not work. This company told me that for some reason they do not work at Walmart. I find this ludacris. So we have two gift cards that do not work.

Remaining balance on card not used, but can't access it. Business won't pick up phone and website not working.
We were given a gift card from Prepaid Gift in the amount of $100. We used a portion of it back in July, but had a balance of $20 because the restaurant put a hold on 20%. We left a cash tip, so we know for certain what was remaining (plus we always keep a record of gift card spending so we know the balance at all times). We went to use the card the other day and were declined. When we logged into the website, we couldn't access our balance. Even if the card had zero funds (which I know is not the case), we should be able to log in and see our spending and balance. When I tried to call customer service, it just kept looping and never connected me to anyone. It appears that the company stole the balance on our card, which if they are doing this to others (as it sounds like is the case), they are pulling in a hefty amount.

Can not use $100 gift card.
I received three $100 gift cards last Christmas. I tried to use them in November and two worked fine, but the third was declined. When I contacted the company they said the card was registered to someone else and could not speak with me. The card was brand new in packaging when received. I contacted them again and they told me to send a copy of the card, a copy of my driver's license, address, phone number and best time to call. I was told I would be contacted within three hours of receiving the fax. When no one called, I called back three days after sending fax and was told it would take three to five business days to receive a call back. I phoned again 8 days after sending fax and was told that they could not speak with me because the card was registered to someone else. I explained that I had already faxed the requested information to the fraud department. She told me I needed to have the receipt. I explained to her that it was a gift and I didn't have a receipt. She said she could not help me then. I told herI intended to file a complaint with the Revdex.com she ended the call.

My son was in Colorado visiting his uncle, my brother. They went to a Kroger out there and my 13 year old son purchased a $50 gift card-brand www.prepaidgiftbalance.com When he came back home to Ohio, we activated the card. He tried to use the card to get Subway and it was declined. I've contacted the company and they were very rude saying there's an open investigation. The investigation needs to be opened on this company because they are criminals stealing from a MINOR!!

I'm being denied $350.00 from a prepaid gift card company that is rightfully owed to me.
I recently purchased prepaid VISA (debit) gift card in the amount of $350.00 USD from a local grocery store in the Portland, Oregon vicinity. Kroger's owned Fred Meyers. I registered my card online from the given prepaid Visa card company and I did this prior to making an online purchase. I tried to make an online purchase, but was denied, due to a typographical error on my behalf. Apparently, it was zip code single digit error. I typed in XXXXX as it should have been XXXXX. Any rate, the transaction didn't process and I was contacted by the retailer online that I would be getting a refund in the amount of $350.00. I was told that it would take several hours for the refund would take place and then I would try for a transaction again. It never happened. I contacted www.prepaidgiftbalance.com to find why my gift card balance wasn't restored to the original $350.00. I was told that it would take up to 14 days,10 days and several hours. Never got a straight answer from a CSR www.prepaidgiftbalance.com! I'm being denied a refund that is rightfully mine. Waiting 14 days to get my prepaid VISA refunded is not reasonable. I just want the balance to be the original $350.00 on the same card. VISA XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Purchased a VISA gift card and gave as a gift. Card was compromised before ever using. Credit still on card of $100 but card can't be used at all.
Purchased the gift card. Gave as a graduation gift. Card had already been compromised by someone before purchased. Company will not give the name of the person on the card but it isn't my name nor the person I gave to for a graduation gift. Card was still in the packaging when given as a gift. Gift card has $100 on it. When we've both called in they won't talk to either of us to give any information. The 3 digit security code saw invalid when we call in. Unfortunately, I no longer have the receipt from the purchase. Now they want a copy of my full ID and a copy of the card in order to see if they can help!
