Presidio North Apartments

This is the worst place I have ever rented from. I could write a book, but I'll try and keep it short. I moved into a studio last year in the beginning of summer. When I signed the lease I was given a key but asked to make a copy because they didn't have any extras. I did that and returned the original. When I moved my stuff in I noticed that the kitchen was infested with roaches. I called immediately to report. Not to mention the place was filthy and on my inspection sheet I listed all the dirty spots and requested a walkthru with management. That fell on deaf ears. I told them that if the roach problem couldn't be resolved, then I was going to leave. They told me I could move out right then and there and they would let me out of lease. I asked if they would try and get rid of roaches, and that I was willing to give it 30 days , then I would make a decision. The manager said nope. You can leave now but we won't give you 30 days. I had no choice but to stay because how was I going to find a new location overnight. They came on several attempts to rid the bug problem with no success. Now I'm locked in. So I learned to live with them and killed hundreds on a weekly basis. It seems as though it's just the studio bldgs that are infested. After some time I started talking to people in other bldgs that didn't have any issues. So the end of my lease came and I was tight on funds, so I decided to sign a lease for a two bedroom. Man was that a mistake. This place was just as dirty and I even told [redacted] about it on move in day. She called the cleaning staff to go back and finish cleaning and that never happened. We found a narcotic pain pill in my daughters medicine cabinet. So we cleaned the areas in question and moved on. I got a reconciliation sheet on my door about 10 days after I moved into new apt. It said I owed 7 dollars and some change for cleaning. Ok so be it. I figured it was petty and whatever I will pay. Then my wife made an overpayment on the rent by 57 dollars. I went in to use that credit to pay for a gate opener and [redacted] told me the credit was used to pay for charges on other apartment. I said no way I want to speak to you're boss. So I emailed [redacted] requesting a meeting. That didn't go well. She is a rude person. Told me I got off light. I've never dealt with trashy people like this before. They are liars and thieves. So whatever....they stole my 57 dollar credit. So then my ac goes out. They came to fix and said nothing was wrong and after jamming the breaker several times it worked. It continued to go out daily and finally I called them to come fix again. If you don't want them in your house without you home they will make it as hard as possible. After finally waiting 14 days the ac has been fixed. RENTER BEWARE.
