Preston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Reviews (22)

I will reimburse them the I already discounted the vehicle because we thought the tires needed to be replaced so we saved him severql hundred for a situation that didn't exist which would more than cover the rental charge let me know if this is acceptable, if not, we will unfortunately have our first dissatisfied customer with the Revdex.com THANKS

You are correct, you discounted me for an issue that didn't exist because of the negligence or incompetence of your service departmentThat is not m faultThere turned out to be a more serious issue with a major drive train component which set me back $I should not have to "pay" for the dealership's mistake

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1.) The vehicle was reviewed by someone on the day of sale that stated there was a balance issue with the tires and that issue was causing the vibrationI do not believe the salesman made that call, he only relayed that information to us2.) I would assume all vehicles that are traded in are inspected at an OEM dealership - dealerships certainly like to sell based on some numerical point inspection their trade-ins go throughAn inspection, let alone a test drive, should have told you this vehicle wasn't worthy of sale at the timeI guarantee, if this was one of the technicians vehicles, they would not have left it in that state so why would they for a customer? 3.) On the subject of safety, this issue presented concerns to the shop that we took it to for the tire evaluationThe vibrations from the driveshaft caused a seal to fail and transmission fluid to leakThere are many scenarios that could have played out because of this but luckily we made it the entire trip without too much trouble 4.) My biggest issue with the sale was that the salesman knew we were driving back to TN after the weekendTherefore, we could not have come back to the dealership to have this issue resolved thereInstead, we've had to rent a car while the Jeep has work doneThe total for the car rental is not $That was my estimate at the time of submitting the initial complaintThe total rental costs to us was $(receipts attached) 5.) That leads me to the warranty work being done (I understand full well Preston dealership is not responsible for the work being done at [redacted] in [redacted] **)The driveshaft was found to have a worn U-joint and was replacedHowever, this does not necessarily account for the damaged seal(s) and transmission fluid that was lostI cannot get a straight answer out of [redacted] service department on whether or not the seal(s) was replaced and if the transmission fluid was filled to the proper level 6.) I am confident this issue could have been resolved at Preston if we were in the areaWe made it clear at the time of sale that we needed a vehicle that could get us home no issue and last us for years to comeI do believe the vehicle is solid following the work that's been done (assuming the items in #above have been taken care of)But, this does not take away from the negligence of letting a vehicle in that state off of your lot Regards

I am not sure what this gentleman wants Like I said, we would take full responsibility if we missed something on the vehicle inspection I have no problem giving him the dollars for his inconvience I don't know why they would if had a vehicle so long because Chrysler offers overnight service on parts so that dealer would of had it the next day if the order was placed by 3pmIf not , it would be there in two days If the technician did miss something I apologize But it seem like this gentlemen isn't going to be happy for anythingI have no problem paying for days rental

I'm not sure what was actually said about our service dept looking at the car while they were here but my service dept didn't work that day because of the holiday either way, my service dept is excellent and always looks every car over like their own on the other hand, I don't want to say they never miss anything because they are human I very highly doubt they would miss a leaking transmission because they get paid to do that job by the manufacturer because it was still under the factory warrantystill had months and roughly miles left on the factory powertrain warranty maybe there was some play in the driveshaft, I can not talk intelligently about that but without a doubt if the customer were here I would have all of this taken care of for them I just find it hard to believe that the car was driven for miles and so called not safe to drive doesn't make much sense but either way, I would have no problem giving this customer for their inconvenience even though the rental was also covered by the warranty and there should have been no out of pocket expense to this customer if it were processed correctly by the other dealership we stand behind our vehicle and our workmanshipand that is why we have an outstanding rating with the Revdex.com I'm sorry this customer is so upset

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint As a consumer the vehicle that I purchased shouldn't have any motor or transmission problems the first months of owning itI drive long distances with my daughter in the back seat and now it has become unsafe for me and my daughter to drive itThis vehicle is now unreliable and I am requesting for a replacement vehicle that does not have any issues Regards, [redacted] ***

we sold this person a new jeep wrangler for a price of - rebate for a price of on 05-31-2016. he came back on august 17th at 12:50 for an oil change and tire rotation and a courtesy multipoint inspection and everything was fine. he then came back on sept
at 2:36pm and mentioned that he thought the transmission wasn't shifting right and the light was coming on and going off. we checked it and contacted Chrysler and they had us do a powertrain control module under warranty. checked for software updates and recalls and there were none. he came back in on October 11th at 1:and we performed an oil change and tire rotation with no other problems being brought to our attention. he came back in on November 2nd at 1:and stated the check engine light came on during a long tripChrysler informed us that we need to replace the valve body ( allows the transmission to shift ) and inform them how it is going. we did so and drove the vehicle miles without any trouble. unfortunately we can only do what Chrysler tells us to do since they are paying for the repairs under warranty. thank you if there is any other info you would like , I would be more than happy to give it to you

My biggest issue with the sale was that the salesman knew we were driving back to TN after the weekend. Therefore, we could not have come back to the dealership to have this issue resolved there. Instead, we've had to rent a car while the Jeep has work done. The total for the car rental is not $140.00. That was my estimate at the time of submitting the initial complaint. The total rental costs to us was $302.15 (receipts attached). 5.) That leads me to the warranty work being done (I understand full well Preston dealership is not responsible for the work being done at [redacted] in [redacted]). The driveshaft was found to have a worn U-joint and was replaced. However, this does not necessarily account for the damaged seal(s) and transmission fluid that was lost. We made it clear at the time of sale that we needed a vehicle that could get us home no issue and last us for years to come. I do believe the vehicle is solid following the work that's been done (assuming the items in #5 above have been taken care of). But, this does not take away from the negligence of letting a vehicle in that state off of your lot.

The only thing I can say is he would have to claim lemon law with the manufacturer.   In his books , it will explain how to do that but I do believe in order to claim that it is a defective vehicle with the manufacturer, he would have to have 3 documented , unfixable problems with the same part of the vehicle before the manufacturer would consider it , but he can try .  The truth of the matter is this is why manufacturers put warranties on vehicles .  Just in case they break , the consumer will not have to pay for it .  Unfortunately I have warranty claims and recalls with vehicles several times of day with all of our manufacturers. Thanks

I will reimburse them the 140.00.  I already discounted the vehicle because we thought the tires needed to be replaced so we saved him severql hundred for a situation that didn't exist which would more than cover the rental charge.   let me know if this is acceptable, if not, we will unfortunately have our first dissatisfied customer with the Revdex.com   THANKS
