Prium Life and Health Reviews (%countItem)

Prium Health is a scan directed at senior citizens. No such plan exists. I paid $179 for an annual contract.
This plan described to me by the supposedly representative said I could save between 30 to 60 precent off the amount not covered by my legitimate health insurance plans. The cost was $179 annually which I paid using my credit/debit card. There is no such plan and this is a scam targeted at senior citizens.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of my $179 paid.

Prium Life and Health Response • Feb 05, 2019

This member signed up for the plan on Jan 31st 2019 and added an additional family member to the plan as well.
The membership packet was mailed on the 1st of February which means she would be receiving it any day now (5-7 days)
I am not sure why we received the complaint, we have no further calls, emails or voicemails from this customer since the sign up date just days ago on the 31st or why she suggests there is "no such plan" for she signed up for the Aetna Dental Access plan in which provides millions of members savings for years.
We called and left a voicemail to ***. We will go ahead and assume she would like to cancel and provide a full refund.

Looking to get a refund for my Father's account. A service from a company that my dad doesn't know he gave his credit card info to.
11/13/2018

Annual renewal fee charged in December 2018 cannot be refunded. This is a scam program directed toward gullible senior citizens. On behalf of my elderly father (I have POA for him), I am filing this complaint. We have noi idea when he signed up over the telephone.... as He's a dementia patient. In December 2018 his credit card was charged an annual renewal fee so I called the bank to inquire about the charge. The bank provided me with a telephone number for Prium Health. I called and had information emailed and mailed to me. Upon examining the information I realized that this was not insurance but only offered discounts at participating providers. My Dad is now has live in care and will not be able to utilize any of these providers, nor did he. I tried calling Prium today (12/27/2018) to cancel, but cant speak to anyone or get a call back. If I understood others on this site correctly, it is too late to receive a refund for the most recent charge of $159.00/year but I can cancel so he will not be charged an annual fee in 2019. He is on a fixed income, & has memory issues which is why he is in assisted care, and cannot, nor has ever used, any of Prium's discounted providers. I am concerned about any company that targets senior citizens over the phone and convinces them to purchase something that they really do not understand.

Desired Outcome

My father has NOT used the service. He doesn't really qualify as being competent of even being able to enroll in such a program. It would cost the company nothing to refund his credit card. (A credit card that he no longer has/carries)

MRS *** Signed up for the Aetna Dental Access Plan in December of 2017

On 12/22/17 The Member called in because she thought the plan was $159.00 and was concerned about the the $20.00 enrollment fee. Customer service explained the charge of $20 and discussed if the member had any further questions.

On Jan 2 2019 Son, *** was updated as POA and stated everything needed to go to him. Explained the plan, benefits and updated address and phone number to Son's information

1/10/19. Members son *** called in stating that his parents wont be needing the plan anymore. Plan was cancelled but plan will remain active until Dec 2019

1/11/2019 ***, ***'s son called and wants to receive a refund from the amount charged on Dec 5th.

1/25/2019 Charge-back Received

After reviewing the notes and speaking with *** and customer service, I believe the customers account should have been refunded before the charge-back was received. As a company we want to save customers money not cost them and in this case the customer would have no use for the plan in the future. The refund should have already been received at this point and we have spoken with the power of attorney.

Customer Response • Feb 15, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I received a call today from the business, saying they had failed to respond to the concerns and would be reimbursing the credit card for the $159. Although I have not checked that, it is my belief they will honor such. If not, I have their phone number and an extension to reach them.
I thank the Revdex.com for assisting us with this issue.

My son and I just moved and one of Prium's agents had given me a call and helped me find a dentist less than a mile from our new home that excepts this plan. We've saved so much so far! We have also saved on all of our prescriptions as well. The customer service was so great and I couldn't be happier with my plan.

I am turning 65 and have been so confused with being new to Medicare. An agent came and explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. I was able to make decisions on which plan would work for me and save money on my dental needs.
