We appreciate you sending an invoice with late charges, but without a signed contract, we are not obligated to pay late fees.  Additionally, we did pay in a timely manner, i'm not sure what happened with the check.  As previously stated as well, a quick phone call to us would have resolved this matter in a much more expedient manner.  Please consider this matter closed unless they can produce a signed contract (which I don't believe they can as we didn't agree to these terms)   where we agreed to pay late fees.  Thank you for your time and patience in this matter.

Review: Probe Marketing contacted me about doing a research study for them on 12/**/2013, I was told after completion of the study I would be compensated $200 and that payment would be made 3-weeks after.

I contacted '[redacted]' the gentleman who screened me one week before the three week deadline to follow up with any progress. [redacted] kept stuttering before mentioning the study was still in progress and actually concluded the last week of December, 2013.

I waited an additional week and called back. Again more stuttering and the person who handles payroll, I was told was not available at the time. [redacted] told me he would call me back later in the day; this was now 1:30pm in the afternoon. Around 4:30pm, I called [redacted] back. The story now changed that she actually did not come in today and that he would now contact me first thing Monday morning (today, was friday).

1:00pm Monday and I called [redacted] and asked to speak with someone in charge. I was told it was a woman name [redacted] who also was not available. I made 3-calls to [redacted] no calls were ever returned. [redacted] also told me that they made a mistake and that the study actually did not conclude until the first week of January. I was told [redacted] would be in on Tueday. I never heard back from [redacted] and put in another call. I was told she was on the phone and would return my call.

About 20 minutes later I received a email stating this:

From: [redacted] To: [redacted] Subject: payment

Date: Tue, **Jan 2014 14:21:33 -0500

I understand you have been calling, but we are still interviewing in that job this week and don’t send payments out until we bill.

Here is my response:

[redacted],

That is unexceptable. You cannot hire someone, tell them one thing and then later, say something else; this is breaking the law, and a violation of my civil rights.

The story has changed 3x's now about this study continuing...

At this junction I am requesting that my check is sent out to me within the next 24-hrs or I will report your company to the Revdex.com, the Federal Trade Commission and I will also promote what is happening on all social networks. No one deserves to be taken for a ride. I also saw that when I went to Google your company name the words, "scam" shows up, as it seem there have been previous issues with this company.

This is a poor reflection on this company and your poor ethics to even have the decency to return phone calls. Please note I am sending a copy of this to my lawyers. There is no need to respond, I await my check.Desired Settlement: I have yet to receive my check.

I am asking that the FTC look into this business and its practice. I feel that I am being scammed and from the look of things that is not the first incident of someone claiming to be scammed from this company.

I am asking for Probe Marketing to expedite my check over night for the full amount of $200 that is owed to me.

Thank you in this matter.

Response:

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted]regarding Probe Marketing Group has been resolved.

The company finally paid me with a verbal, form of apology.

I would like to thank the Revdex.com/New York for all their hard work in their due diligence in this matter. I honestly, do believe it is due to my involvement with the Revdex.com,that this company choose to do the right thing; if no complaint was filed, I am not sure things would have worked in my favor.

It is my hope this will not continue to be a re-occuring practice from Probe Marketing as I will no longer work with them again.

My name is James. I just recently completed a research project with Probe Research. I want to say that this company IS NOT a scam! I encourage anyone who may be interested in doing Market Research to give them a try. The checks may be a little late in coming, but they WILL come, I guarantee it!! Instead of bashing the company for your payment being a few days late, why not offer your appreciation to them for allowing you to be a part of something that's cutting edge?!

Review: On August **, 2014 I participated in a market research study conducted at two Lowes Home Supply stores in [redacted] New York. I was recruited for this study by Probe Market Research and was to be paid $125. Two days later I called Probe to inquire when I would be paid. [redacted] said it would take a week. On August ** I again called and was told that the person who cuts the checks was on vacation and would return after Labor Day. On September * I again called Probe described my problem and was told that [redacted] would get back to me. I received an email from [redacted] later that day saying "I'll look into it". On September 8 I emailed [redacted] to inquire about my payment and as of yet I have had no reply.Desired Settlement: To be paid for my services.

Review: Dear New York Revdex.com,

I was recruited by [redacted] of Probe Marketing Research to participate in a 15-min. International Business Plans & Strategy Phone Interview on April *, 2014. I was told by her that at the conclusion of the interview in two-weeks that I would receive an incentive check for $100.00. I waited patiently and after two weeks, I contacted her. I told that I would reach out to her client in an attempt to find out why I have not received my promised incentive. As of May **, 2014, it has been nine weeks and still no check. Not looking to go back and forth. I stated clearly in one response that we would waive late fees. We did call, several times and left messages for two different individuals, faxed a note, and even used Twitter direct messages: Maybe your information online is incorrect? I hear what you are saying about not knowing what happened to the check, maybe you could review your bank reconciliation and see it was never cashed the month following it's remittance. Review: On August **, 2013 John T[redacted] from Probe Research contacted me to participate in a paid nationwide telephone interview regarding Ce. Probe Research agreed to pay $75 for a one hour telephone interview. They also agreed to pay me $75 in the form a check within two weeks after the telephone interview.

I did not receive the check as agreed. I sent John T[redacted] three e-mails regarding the issue, and he did not respond. I called the company. I spoke with Brian. He stated that John was not in the office. I explained the nature of the call and he stated that I should expect a check within three weeks after the study. He also stated that he would give John the message that I called and also started that Lynette E[redacted] handles issues regarding payment and would pass the information over to her also.

August **, 2013 I sent a second e-mail to John T[redacted] asking him to correct the spelling of my name and my address. I also stated in the e-mail that I understand that a check in the amount of $75 will be mailed out to me in two weeks. I asked him to confirm receipt of the e-mail and he failed to do so until August **, 2013, the day on the interview. When the client did not call me according to schedule, I e-mailed John (J.T.) to confirm that the client was supposed to call me as opposed to my calling the client. John T[redacted] who now had a history of not responding to my e-mails, sent me a reply within eleven minute because this is an issue and concern to him. I then asked him to confirm that he received my e-mail regarding the changes and payment and agreed that he had received it. At no point in time did John T[redacted] state that any information communicated to him was inaccurate, as a result I expected to receive a check in the amount of $75 within two weeks as agreed.Shortly thereafter the client called. He was running behind schedule. I completed the telephone interview successfully.

On September **, 2013 I called Probe Research regarding my check and John T[redacted] answered the telephone. I explained the issue and asked if he had received my e-mails. John told me that he had not. Then told him that I called and left a message with Brian and did he receive that message and he stated he had not. I inquired about my check and he told me that it should have gone out already. He stated that Lynette E[redacted] handles all payments. I asked to speak with Lynette. He stated that she was not in the office. I asked for her voice mail and he stated that she did not have one. I could leave the message with him. Since I know what happen with the last message- it was not delivered, I asked for her e-mail address. He gave it to me. I emailed Lynette E[redacted] and she replied that the client has not paid them yet.

Clearly this was a breach of contract because my participating in this study was not contingent upon whether or not a third party paid them or not. My agreement was with Probe Research. When I told her that that was unacceptable, she then sent me an email stating that their policy payment terms are Net 60-90. But I thought they were waiting for the client to make payment? I never agreed to such terms and why was she the only one who knew this information.

The letter was very professional. It was only an inquiry, and Lynette E[redacted] threatened to file a complaint with the police if I contact her regarding payment. She was very unprofessional at best, and there is something rotten in the state of Denmark. As a result I am reaching out to you for your help.

Sincerely,

L. N[redacted]

Review: I completed a Market Research study via smartphone through Probe Market over a seven day period May [redacted]-June [redacted], 2014. The logistics promised in email and over the phone before beginning were that upon completion, payment for my participation would be mailed to me within two weeks.

Upon completion of the study, I received an email from the company that hired Probe Market to administer the study (Over the Shoulder) indicating that I had successfully completed the study, and would be receiving payment ($130) within 2 weeks from Probe Market.

Two weeks came and went without any check arriving, so I contacted [redacted] at Probe Market. I emailed her several times, the first few she responded by saying payment was on it's way, or would be out by Friday, June [redacted]. When no check came by then, I attempted to contact her again, and now cannot get any response at all regarding payment status.

Regardless, we are now at one month since the study ended, and the agreement was that the payment for my work would have been here within TWO weeks.

My latest attempt to contact her resulted in a reply that she is on vacation.Desired Settlement: I would like the $130 I earned for spending several hours working on this study over two weeks delivered immediately as promised.

Review: On September *, 2014 I participated in an over the phone interview for market research. I was told I would receive a check for $100 via mail after the study was complete. I followed up with [redacted] on 9/**, and she said they were still completing interviews until 9/** and they didn't send checks out until after the study was complete. I waited to email again until September [redacted], and [redacted] responded that they had lost some of their data, and wanted me to provide my mailing address again. I provided my address, and followed up a third time on October [redacted], and [redacted] responded saying the check was mailed on October [redacted], and please wait five full business days before following up again. I am submitting my complaint now, because I am tired of waiting! I have participated in many legitimate market research studies, and the payment is always very timely! I will NEVER participate in a study with them again, and will post complaints about the company in as many places as possible online, so no one else has to go through the trouble of dealing with them! This type of business practice is not acceptable!Desired Settlement: I want my check! I'm tired of false promises, and lost information, and whatever other excuse you can come up with. This is ridiculous and unacceptable!

[redacted] emailed me and her check was cut last week - she was told this information and she was told that it would take 5 business days from that point, but yet she still decides that is not good enough for her, she wants to register a complaint. people are told that checks take approx 2-3 weeks - we are not always on point with the time frame and they can take 1 week or 4 weeks, its an imperfect system with holidays.

I received my check via mail today; however, I want the complaint to remain on the website, because it should not have taken this long to receive my incentive for participating in their research study. Had I not been persistent in following up with this company, I would have never received the check! After my second follow up, [redacted] emailed me back saying they had lost my information, and wanted me to provide my address again. This type of practice is very unprofessional, and it's a wonder these people are still in business after having an F rating, and so many complaints against them!

I did a follow up e-mail to Lynette E[redacted] at Probe Market Research she informed the client hosted the board and they determines who gets paid. Probe Market Research solicited and assured me I would be compensated for participating.. I have call called several times but no return calls. Thank you for looking into this.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted] -When we recruited you for this study, we had told you that checks would take approx. 4 weeks because of the holiday. No one who deals with payments was in the office on 12/**, so i'm not sure how you actually spoke to us on that date. You were told on subsequent phone calls that we hadn't received the data from our client, so therefore we were unable to cut checks on this study since they held the attendance records. We are still within the promised period, and a report to the Revdex.com regarding non-payment is pre-mature. We did speak to the client and we have been promised a list of people to pay by tomorrow. Sincerely,

Review: My teenage daughter completed a survey in early April for an educational study regarding career and college. She gave them a very good feedback and my daughter spend over 25 minutes answering questions about career and college. I was told by a worker there name J.T. that the survey would pay her $50. He made several attempts to confirm the survey appointment. It's interesting how after the survey was complete, I never heard back from him. After several weeks, I called and left messages at their office and I never received a response back. When I did speak with someone, I was told that they would send me a confirmation to confirm that a payment would be mailed. Afterwards, I still never heard back from anyone. I left many voicemail messages on ###-###-####. When you call this number, the greeting will advise that if this is an emergency to contact Lynette at ###-###-####. This is truly an emergency because no one will return my calls. So I called Lynette to expect to hear a pleasant sounding voice but instead she answered the call in very rude manner. When I tried to explain to her that I am not getting anyone to respond to my calls, she rudely insisted that I call the office back anyway. The tone of her voice was very very unprofessional and belligerent. The only rebuttal she had was that checks are being cut on Thursday. I read several other complaints like this where clients were told the same thing. I am very disappointed with this company and the experience I had because my daughter was very skeptical that this could be a scam and I convinced my daughter that the company was legitimate. I've never had a bad experience with completing any surveys with any company. This is now my first bad experience for me which I will never do again with this company and I most certainly won't put my daughter through this. It's not so much about the $50 that disturbs me but it's the principle putting my daughter through this. If you can't pay the clients for these surveys then I believe you should let your clients know this upfront and if you plan on paying clients for surveys, then you should give them a date or time-frame when they will rece. No one has time to waste time!Desired Settlement: Send my daughter her $50 as she and I were promised and take my name off your marketing list for surveys.

Business

Response:

I emailed her this morning notifying her that my client said that her daughter did not participate in the telephone study and should not receive the $50.. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseThe email that Lynette was prior to the recent email that she sent me today. I have also attached the email from where she states that her contractor never got back to her. It's apparent that her contractor she hired is incompetent of managing their clients professionally because my daughter remember most of the questions that she had to answer from the study. Now my daughter know and I know that she participated in this study. I will continue to complain until this is resolved because this is ridiculous for me and my daughter to receive this much hassle over $50. It's apparent that Lynette gives one-sided stories to the Revdex.com and not the full story. This says a lot about this so-called survey company. I want my daughter to get paid for her time!

Review: On April [redacted], I participated in an in home market research study on shaving for $250. Review: Probe Market Research invited me to participate in a study for which I was to be compensated $50 + $10, for a total of $60. Now, the representative (the website indicates she is the owner) is refusing to honor this contract and pay my money, despite telling me for over one month that my check was "in the mail." In addition, she has e-mailed me statements threatening as follows.

"Im emailing all my friends in NJ @ all the facilities and letting them know that you are a TIOTAL DO NOT RECRUIT (and I know everyone)."

In other e-mails, she asked me what my problem was because I actually expected to get paid what she promised to pay me.Desired Settlement: 1. Apologize for refusing to honor the contract, being rude and nasty and threatening me.
