I called Mark M. for an estimate for sealing pavers at my new house I haven't moved into yet. He went to the property and sent me an estimate with options. I told him what option I was interested in. I paid for stain also for him to apply to my dock and seawall cap. We set a date for him to pick that up at the store. He took it upon himself to go to the house without me there and did the sealer and dock stain unattended. Garage doors weren't up so he did not fully seal all the pavers. And he sealed over sand at the bottom slope of the driveway and lanai stoop.
He refuses to remedy the situation or cut back on his price so I can pay someone else to take care of it for me.
He advertises taking credit cards but demanded cash. I calls me stupid, nuts and crazy and now says he's taking me to court.
I am an elderly woman and this is abuse and bad business practice.
Finish the job seal the pavers at the two garage doors and correct the areas where sand was sealed over
Im sad to say that Sandy's story changes by the day. Perhaps she gets confused. My estimate and scope of work was very clear on the estimate I submitted to her. She is asking for work to be in addition that I am not able or licensed to do. I don't do concrete repairs. Sandy was supposed to me with the day I showed to do the work. I have phone records and recorded phone calls with her to prove she is indeed lying. I have numerous emails showing that 3 times I offered to meet her to do my best to fix what she was unhappy with. She not ONCE would agree to meet me on site. She was well aware that I was at her home. She told me she would be coming by. I called her before I began sealing the pavers just before noon and have the phone records to prove that. She said she was going to order the paint at that time from Sherwin williams and meet there. I told her I would her around 1:30 - 2 after I completed sealing the driveway. When I called to tell her I was to head to sherwin williams she informed me she would not be meeting me there.
If she won't meet me onsite to fix the issues I can't help her. I have 3 emails all asking for her to meet me. I told her she would need to pay me 80% of the job when I arrived to fix the issues and then the remains 20% immediately upon completion. I don't believe she ever intended to pay me. I believe I was and am being scammed by this consumer. The price quoted for seal was simply to seal the existing pavers. There was NO prep work in the price quoted because sandy told me the house was brand new and needed no preparation or cleaning. The price I quoted to seal the pavers was $995 with No prep. The price with prep would have been $1850. As my quote clearly showed for the boat dock. Cleaning and prep work were in the quote. There was no concrete repairs in the quote for the brand new boat dock. The concrete contractor should warranty that.
The bottom line is that I am being held responsible to do work that was not quoted in the written estimate. I believe this customer never intended to pay us. Her statements made are completely fabricated. My attorneys are currently seeking a lien on the property.

Lee County tells me that anyone working with pavers is required to have a contractor's license with the county and he does NOT have that.
