[redacted] transitioned the management of my 401k from [redacted] to Empower late last year I took a loan from my 401k via [redacted] *** A Fee was added to the principal balance as well as an interest rate All of this was made very clear by [redacted] *** After Empower took over my 401k as well as my loan, they began withdrawing $as a quarterly "maintenance fee" As previously stated, this was not the practice of [redacted] *** As the loan is automatically withdrawn via payroll deduction, there is no maintenance involved My loan agreement was with [redacted] ***, NOT Empower I emailed Empower advising that I was paying the loan off to avoid these fees in the future I also requested that the $billed thus far be refunded [redacted] declined the refund His claim is that is was disclosed via a mailer and is non-refundable I then called customer service today at 5:pm CST I was again advised that they refuse to refund the fee The empower representative attempte

On July 26, 2017, [redacted] received an offset loan request I had emailed to themIt was also confirmed that it had been received and was showing in my fileI had requested that the payments on a loan taken out in Feb be cancelled and not deducted from my checkI qualify due to the fact that I am over years oldThe first person I spoke to was a male who argued that I did not qualify when I knew I didThe following amount of $should have been left in my paychecks issued on July 31, Aug 15, Aug 31, Sept and $for the Sept paycheckAll of these are datesI did not hear anything back about this and the deductions were still being taken from each of these paychecksI started calling again in Aug and have been calling or more times every week sinceI have talked to females who all confirmed that I do qualify for this loan offset but I have been continuously told by each of them that it is still "under review"I told each of them tha

Great West (now Empower Retirement) was the 401k provider of my previous employerWhen that company was acquired, the 401K was shut down and my funds were placed in "temporary holding"I have been trying to have those funds transferred to a different provider in order to consolidate my accounts, but Great West has made it exceedingly difficult to access or move this money, beyond what is reasonableI suspect they are doing so intentionally so that I may forget or delay removing the assets which are rightfully mine My list of complaints with their process: 1) While in this "temporary holding", there is no way for me to access my account or see anything onlineIn order to get even a basic balance or account number, I must call customer support each timeThe customer support hold time is frequently longer than minutes 2) When I requested to be sent a copy of my statement for an urgent matter, they would not offer to email because this is not secure enough, suggesting o

Great-West Financial had made an unauthorized disbursement into my Fidelity Rollover IRA, which was auto-invested, then reversed causing a cash debitFidelity advised me to contact Great-West but Great-West is refusing to talk to me because they are unable to verify my identityI provided all of my prior addresses but apparently none of them were correct I then called my former company's HR to verify/update the address on file (which I had provided the correct address)But then I was informed Great-West no longer manages the company's 401k and they were not authorized to make any disbursements I currently have a cash debit (equivalent to an overdraft) of in my IRA that needs to be resolved by November 7th

My 401(k) is being managed by Empower Retirement (through my former employer)I am not receiving my quarterly statements (enrolled to receive them online) I have been in constant communication with Empower retirement since April regarding this issue They still have not been able to provide me with my quarterly statements (or even a backlog of my quarterly statements - I am missing quarterly statements dating back to Qof 2017)They promise to look into it, and every time I call I do not get a resolution or an estimated time in which my statements will be providedThis is impacting my ability to get a mortgage loan because underwriting requires FULL quarterly statements (not statements on demand that you can self generate) My primary contact promises to call me back and never doesI have left voicemails My previous employer has tried contacting Empower Retirement on my behalf without any successThey keep getting the same runaround that I getI believe they are REQ

I am an employee of [redacted] ***, a corporate account I have spent endless hours on the phone, over the course of week to try to resolve an issue Seems my company thinks I am married, and am not How this ever got changed is beyond me But after calls to reassure me, and multiple calls to my payroll dept to say I am not married, therefore no forms involved I got a loan of you folks online before, but since this snafu - I have 7,to borrow, am asking for $= cant do online Cause they want my spouse signature? I have never been married, and at my wits end in this battle phone calls - times having to explain the problem I just don't get the miss connect - I AM NOT MARRIED! And should be able to get the loan via this companies website, or phone, but still no loan for me when I apply, Week and half now - and still feel like a ball on the tennis court

Empowerment Retirement Services are the absolute worst!! I have tried for months to rollover a retirement account It is not happening--without reason or apology I have attempted to contact Tom L [redacted] , help I received an e-mail from Michael P [redacted] (specialist correspondence)--no helpI urge businesses to avoid Empowerment for the sake of their employees!

Trying to withdraw some of my retirement money. Was suppose to be fedex'd yesterday....never was. Supposedly was shipped today but fedex hasn't received it. Nothing but the run around and lies from this company so far. I will update this if they do their job and send me MY money as agreed.

company took over account, never sent notices to me until loan in "default" agents are not licensed to speak about the plan-illegal service and sales practices. non-finra licensed individuals. did not offer any help for their errors. I am being penalized for their poor accounting and lack of communication and now its going to involve the IRS and they are taking no responsibility for their actions!!!!

We submitted paperwork to rollover our 401k to TRowe Price They sent our money to *** *** We had to talk to supervisors before we were able to fully get to a resolution which still involves us going to *** *** to now get our money The first supervisors were absolutely worthless The reason that we were provided was that after a certain period of time any de minimis accounts auto-rollover to another company This hadn't been done for 2+ years (per the words of the 3rd supervisor who could actually provide an explanation) - - and even though I trust that he is telling the truth I find this all too convenient that when we have all these issues the problem now resides on this end instead of Empowerment just doing their job as we requested

I found my last 401k check that was sent to me back in January that cannot be cashed due to only had six months to cash so now want check replaced asapWhich I've called and sent emails with no response into this matter

I need to amend my earlier complaintAlthough my original problem has not been fully resolved, a Great West customer service person contacted me today October 12, and gave me a great deal of help; putting me in contact with other agencies and persons, and offering to assist in any way she could to get me the contracted benefits I was impressed with her approach and her knowledge of the issues involved I have hopes that her assistance will bring final resolution soon So, thank you Great -West I can't say the company is perfect, but you have top notch customer service personnel

My money ended up with this company unbeknownst to me and without my consent after it was transferred from a Merill L*** account In the months they've had my money, I lost 25% of it They claim to have sent a check to an address I haven't lived at in years, and put a day hold on my account when I updated to my current address, claiming this is for my "safety." I am currently having an emergency situation and I can't wait 2+ weeks for them to mail this check to the correct address (a check for 75% of my money they got from Merill L***, again completely without my consent) After reading some comments here and on other sites I called today to ask the day hold be overridden, even offering to come into their local office to pick up my check in person (saving me the $dollars they're going to charge to mail it to me, as well as my time and sanity) The representative on the phone put me on hold to find a manager, came back minutes later, pretended she couldn't hear me, and hung up in seconds This company is trash and I'm irate that they got a hold of my money without my permission, lost 25% of it, and won't send me the rest
