Review: I stored my car at Public Storage on Dean road in Milwaukee. I placed an online request to vacate the outside parking space for 6/24/2013. On 6/21/2013 when I went to pick up my car the catalytic converter had been stolen right off my car and in their gated property. I filed a police report. I called the property and I called the property manager Lucy [redacted] 6/21/2013 to report the theft. She never called me back. I called her again 6/24/2013. I called Lucy a few more times in the month of June. I called customer service but they are NO help. They kept refering me to the property manager Lucy. Lucy must know that my call will go unanswered sense she is the only persons number I can call to correct my problem. To add more problems. I got a bill for $39.01 stating I was late paying them for June. I called Customer Service again on 7/11/2013 twice. They are NO help. I called Lucy again & again no call back. I have now called the regional manager [redacted] and her back up [redacted]. I do not have any confidence in these people to resolve my two problems. 1. I need to cancel the car spot rental 2. I need to have them waive the $39.01 that is now late. I have now been told two different things;Customer service said I need to call Lucy to end the rental and waive the balance owed. Except she NEVER CALLS BACK. Calling the physical store on site they tell me I need to come in and get a rental receipt that shows I left the property.SUGGESTION; REMOVE THE ABILITY TO SCHEDULE A CHECK OUT DATE FROM YOUR WEBSITE IT GIVES A CUSTOMER FALSE INFORMATION. I WAS NOT CHECKING OUT, I WAS NOT CANCELLING MY RENTAL SPACE. I WAS SENDING A CHECK OUT DATE INTO A VOID. NO ONE GOT THE INFORMATION I SENT. IT WAS A HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME...Desired Settlement: 1. I need to cancel the car spot rental 2. I need to have them waive the $39.01 3. RE-TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE, THEY ALL NEED THE SAME INFORMATION; How does a customer end a rental? answer go to the facility4. FIRE LUCY; Your website & rental agreement talks about 100% customer statisfaction. I will never rent from your business again. This person you have employed didn't call me back after 5 phone calls. I have been treated like I don't matter by her & I'll bet I am not alone.

We have resolved this with the consumer and she has a zero balance and has vacated the unit.

Review: I am sending a complaint against the Public Storage whereas I have had my personal items stored since August 25, 2012. On 08/08/2013, I was called around 1:15 pm by the property representative informing me to come to the property on Public Storage on [redacted] to check on my storage unit because it appears as though my lock on my unit had been tampered with. When I arrived at the property on 08/08/2013, I was able to go through the front gate without entering in my code..the front gate was not secure and was wide open and the property representative not available for me to speak with. When I arrived at my unit, and touched viewed my lock on my unit, it appeared as though it had been burned/blow torched. When I touched my lock it fell off my unit...When I opened the door to my unit, I was totally in amazement to see that my personal belongings had been shuffled around...boxes untaped, personal stuff all over the floor of the unit and several of my items had been stolen. I immediately called the police and filed a police report on what had transpired. I also called the district manager of Public Storage [redacted] and left a message and filed a complaint on Public Storage website. The total lack of customer service in regards to my stolen items and to call and offer an apology or any assistance has not occurred. I am totally devastated by this loss and total disrepect that was displayed by someone stealing my family's personal of which I will never be able to replace. When you place your belongings in a storage unit, there should be some type of assurance that your items will be safe and secure but this is not the case nor am I the only victim because as I was told by the police officer this property has had several break ins and there was another consumer on site at his unit on yesterday due to a burglary as well. Please assist me with this complaint. I do not know where or who to turn to...I want a refund of my August rent and a apology for what happened.Desired Settlement: I would like for my August rental rate to be refunded to me and for someone in Senior management to reach out to me in regards to the phone call and complaint letter that I have sent to Public Storage on 08/8/2013. I feel totally violated by by unit to have been broken in and the lack of compassion or empathy from this facility has not made matter worse. I will be looking for somewhere to move my items to asap because I do not feel comfortable with the rest of my belongings at this facility.

Review: According to Public Storage, the rent is due at the start of the month, but the consumer has 10 days to pay the rent before a late fee is added on. I paid my rent on June 1st, but was expected to move out on June 7th, which is before the 10 days. It took me two calls to the DM to receive one phone call back and has taken over a week to actually get a hold of him. Now, the DM of this Public Storage has said that I have to pay the full amount of $115 for the June rent because they are unable to only refund the money, whereas if I had paid on the 9th when the lease was cut, I would only have to pay the pro-rated amount of $34.47. Because of lease is under the name of someone who I am no longer in contact with, the DM said he CAN refund me the $115 due for the month's lease and charge me only for the $34.47, but he still needs to charge the person on the lease for the $80.53. So, if I had NOT paid my rent on the first responsibly, then I would only have paid the pro-rated amount of $34.47 but the DM claims that he cannot refund my rent even though he can.Desired Settlement: I want to receive my refund of $115 and pay the pro-rated amount ONLY of $34.47.
