Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Over the last severalmonths I have been in conversation with them The following is what has transpiredin conversation with [redacted] (the man who originally called about renewing our subscription for the Week magazine which was for our subscription and a gift subscription for our daughter.The two together was to cost $for a one year renewal Our previous subscription was good through April Our daughter's was good through Dec As of last week, mydaughter has not received any magazines for January We of course will not know about our subscription until the current subscription expires at the end of April.Throughout January I was on the phone with [redacted] at least three times He told me a check wasin the mail and that it would be for $to cover the three additional charges of $each that Publishers Elite had charged to my credit card It never came I called back several timesand I got various excuses why I couldn't talk to him He wasn't in today He's in a meetingetc.Then one time that I called I spoke to a woman *** She also told me the check was in the mail and she gave me a USPS tracking # [redacted] When I tried to track it It just said "Status Not Available" This woman [redacted] also told me that [redacted] had been suspended.When I tried to call her back she was not available On Jan26th I talked to another female employee, she said that the policy was no refunds and that there was no check in the mail and that [redacted] had beensuspended over all of this Later [redacted] returned my call he apologized for what had happened, butsaid he could not change anything He also told me he had been suspended over it.I feel that these over charges should be reimbursed to usThank you, [redacted] and/or ***, but neither were available

We are in receipt of Ms [redacted] complaint referenced above and appreciated an opportunity to respond Lionstone is a collection agency and currently working an account in Ms [redacted] nameThe [redacted] account with last digits [redacted] originated in August, and was placed with our office in March, Unfortunately, we are unable to speak to what took place between Ms [redacted] and [redacted] when she contacted them but can assure Ms [redacted] that she is not being led astrayWhen her account came into our office, we contacted her to verify the information that was contained in her accountWhile she states that it is old information in her complaint, it is of note that this personal loan was taken out in and the information attached to the account, may be reflected of that timeMs [redacted] did in fact verify her information prior to disclosing the purpose of our call, where she immediately disputed that she ever took out the loan We have no intention of taking Ms [redacted] to court as she indicates in her complaint, nor has that ever been expressedOur initial calls to her were in an attempt to verify her identity so we could mail the attached to her as required by federal law We will cease contact with Ms***, unless she calls into our office, as her account remains unpaid Please contact the undersigned if we can be of any additional help in this matter Sincerely, Authorized Representative of Lionstone Holdings Group

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I did not receive any written correspondence from this company as they stated they were coming to my home to have me sign for papers.So they had to know where I lived, right? No the information that they have is not accurate and they are going to any means necessary to obtain personal information They asked for personal information from someone who was not meIncluding my social security number verificationHow did they know this was even my husband? The tactics used by this company are harassing and they have made absolutely no attempts to contact me by mail since I sent the cease and decist letter This all started in July I recorded the entire conversation left on my answering machine and the conversation with my husband should you wish to listen to it It will clearly show that they knew exactly what they were doing and the manner in which they attempted to get my personal informationUntil they provide me the appropriate letters, signatures, and proof of debt, I will not deal with them I have an attorney and reported them to the ftc as well I filed a police report with my local department that they were stating they were coming into my property Once again they claim they were attempting to locate me, but they in the same breath stated to make myself available that they would be at my home to get my signatureSo, they contradicted what was stated to the Revdex.com This company is not legit Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because: I never agreed to anything more than one year for our subscription and the one year gift subscription at $for the two for one price This sounded like a good offer, because currently we can renew directly with The Week magazine for $for the two subscriptions The problem has never been resolved because somehow Publisher's Elite has changed what was originally offered Also, according to the date on our most recent issue, they only extended our subscription for mosnot a year This whole situation has caused us a great deal of stress over these months since July We were promised to receive the terms in writing which were never sent to us, however (after the fact), they managed to send what they claimed was a copy of the agreement to our credit card company to somehow prove their agreement It is very easy to write and date such a fraudulent agreement Had we received such an agreement, we would have cancelled before our credit card could be charged $four months in a row I do hope that this information will help resolve this issue for us.Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:i did get the check and cash it but the problem is I have still never got the *** and I switched it the last of oct so on their end it went through first nov and we are in the middle of feb and no *** yet I call they tell me someone will call back they don't I leave message and no one calls someone did call right after I filed this again and said I should get it by feb but that is to mth after I first filed this so im not sure if I will get it I have both these magainze till

I am rejecting this response because:This is a statement, we have not received a second letter, stating that the first one was an errorWe waited on hold for more than minutes and got hung up on twice This is a sad display of dishonesty and diversionI will not stand for thisWhy would you have letters go out in the first placeWe have spent more than an hour on hold to this company and that is wrongI will continue to show openly the disatisfaction with this comapny until they make it right, thats all I want

I am rejecting this response because: I sure hope that the address & phone number
are not seen by the public. It happened to my mom so I gave her address, I gave my phone number. I did get a phone call but have not returned the call as I have been ill. The bank has said they will handle this as a fraud, so I leave it to the bank to handle it. I just want people to know that this happened & can happen. My mom just told me this morning that she got a call about her Reader's Digest subscription, which she doesn't even get so she wasn't tricked this time

in May, has an account number ending in ***, and was placed with our office inJuly, 2016.After reviewing the calls, we believe that Ms*** mischaracterized what took placeAny phone call to a third party was in an attempt to verify her location information, as we are required to send a letter by federal lawWe did end up speak with Ms*** on August 16,where she set up a payment agreement to take care of the outstanding loan stated aboveWe spoke with Ms*** again on August 19, and adjusted her arrangement based on her requestWhen said payment declined, we reached out to her in an attempt to continue to help her resolve the balance onthe accountAfter speaking with her today, September 8, 2016, she is again making payments to our office on this account.As requested, all other numbers were removed as contacts for Ms***, other than her personal line ending in -***.We apologize if any information was misconstrued and we have sent the agent, who had instated her agreement back for additional training to better communicate with consumers.Please contact the undersigned if we can be of any additional help in this matter.Sincerely,Authorized Representative of Lionstone Holdings Group

Customer did agree to service on recorded lineShe called in to cancel after the day cancellation grace period as stated over the phone and in confirmation letterHowever customer still was told on 1/6/that she would receive refund check in mail

Hello Mr***, I have reviewed your complaint and your orderIt appears you signed up for a 5yrs service for an additional discountI am unaware who you would have spoken with in regards to a refund as our entry level sales reps are unable to authorize thoseHowever, I do see a refund check
was sent out yesterday on your account as seen in the attachment for a reduction of the orderA customer service agent will be in contact with you to further go over options to insure your satisfaction as the confirmation letter and the rep would have notified you of our cancelation policy

I am concerned to the dollar amount now saying owedPreviously the total amount was $total Now they have type up a letter stating I owe over $I have contacted *** Payday and they do not know who the company is stating collectionFurthermore, I was in no way misguided by the conversations with threats of court, garnishment and criminal chargesMy home and work were threatened by liongate as well as my ex husband of over years receiving harassing calls by this company stating they have filed court complaint of NSF and bad checksI am working with a debt attorney to further assist me in this matter as I feel the inconsistency of amount has been manipulated wrongfullyThe tactics used by this company were unethical as they seek to ruin my reputation and slander my name personally and professionallyI will make all owed debt whole to *** payday as I lost my Job shortly after receiving loanI am currently working again and will prefer no have no unwitnessed dealings with Liongate and will request Liongate respect my privacy as I have taken actions to repay debt
