I am rejecting this response because:  I never agreed to anything more than one year for our subscription and the one year gift subscription at $55. for the two for one price.  This sounded like a good offer, because currently we can renew directly with The Week magazine for $88. for the two subscriptions.    The problem has never been resolved because somehow  Publisher's Elite has changed what was originally offered.  Also, according to the date on our most recent issue, they only extended our subscription for 6 mos. not a year.  This whole situation has caused us a great deal of stress over these months since July.  We were promised to receive the terms in writing which were never sent to us,  however (after the fact), they managed to send what they claimed was a copy of the agreement to our credit card company to somehow prove their agreement.  It is very easy to write and date such a fraudulent agreement.  Had we received such an agreement, we would have cancelled before our credit card could be charged $55. four months in a row.  I do hope that this information will help resolve this issue for us.Regards,[redacted]

collect on a personal loan she took out in her name.             We spoke with Ms. [redacted] on March 16, 2016 to discuss the above loan. Ms. [redacted] indicated that she had been paying our company monthly on the loan. After reviewing her file with her, it was determined that she had been paying another company. Our representative then gave Ms. [redacted] contact information to provide the paperwork of prior payments as they were not noted on the account when we received them at our office. To date, we have not received this paperwork, but will take Ms. [redacted] at her word. However, we are not able to determine what was paid prior without Ms. [redacted] providing the documentation or calling into Lionstone to discuss further.             It is important to note that after reviewing the file, at no time was Ms. [redacted] left “threatening messages.”  Reviewing the complaint with the representative that handled Ms. [redacted] account, they were trying to verify her correct information as they are required to do prior to sending any correspondence.              We will honor Ms. [redacted] desired resolution and cease all calls, only communicating with her via mail.  However, as stated above, we are unable to properly note her account for any payments she made with a previous agency unless and until she provides the information to our office, either electronically or over the phone.  At this point, we will place Ms. [redacted] account in do not contact status unless we hear from her. Just had a lovely conversation in the phone with Mrs. [redacted] =), she now has the tracking number to her refund and was happy with my customer service.

we are able to verify we have reached the consumer we were looking for. As stated above, Ms. [redacted]
number was dialed by mistake. There were a few calls placed to Ms. [redacted] as we were unaware that we had
an incorrect number. When Ms. [redacted] called into our office on April 27, 2016 to inform us that we had the
wrong number, our representative informed her that her number would immediately be removed from our
system.
Ms. [redacted] number was removed and noted as an incorrect number. As of April 27, 2016 when Ms.
[redacted] informed us that we had the incorrect number she has not and will not receive any other calls from our
office.

We reviewed the recording of the customer service call and discovered that the customer was placed on hold and the phone line was disconnected.  While we understand this does not seem a likely scenario, the customer service agent was attempting to follow our procedures however did not know that...

Power of Attorney's do not have to be listed on the account to provide cancellation.  The order has been cancelled and the number has been placed on the Do Not Call list.  The reason for the investigation was to catch any potentially unscrupulous activities, however PoA's can cancel before investigation is completed.  We have corrected and retrained the customer service agent and will continue to monitor his behavior to prevent any further misconduct.

This customer is 1 of 110 who got sent letters due to improper cancellations. When our collections department printed past due notices this month the system for some reason even printed the CANCELED orders with outstanding balances. This never happens and since has been fixed. received false letter we sent a correction letter with an apology. Had the customer just called in and asked they would have been told the same thing. The order in question is from 10/29/2017. No one ever called in to cancel we simply received a CHARGEBACK from their bank in the mail for their 3rd and final payment of $19.95 that was NEVER made. So for the 2 payments of $19.95 that were made, they will still receive 5 years of Guidepost Even though the other years were never paid for. if the customer stil had any question they may call the office as we are always available M-F 9am-4pm CST.

Our agent was contacting Ms. [redacted]in an attempt to verify her location information as we are required to send a letter by federal law.We believe that Ms. [redacted] mischaracterized what took place. We reviewed the complaint with therepresentative that spoke with Ms. [redacted] and she stated that at that time an agreement was sent up to take care of heroutstanding loan with our office. Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted]'s payments that were set up to resolve the matter with ouroffice declined. We did attempt to reach out to her to see if she would like to set up a new arrangement, but have notheard from her.As requested, we will treat this complaint as a cease and desist. This customer was contacted on 3/6/2017 and was told his magazine has errored out. This happens from time to time due to an address or name being over a certain amount of characters. He was told that the magazine would arrive again within 4-6 weeks and that he would not lose any credit for the time...

he had left and won’t start until he receives his new copy. From the notes it on the account the customer was satisfied with the resolution.

Customer has been contacted in regards to this matter. As well as a service request for labeling issue/additional time has been added. Please be advised any changes to your subscription can take up to 3-6 weeks.
