Review: I received a 'bill' today for renewal of my Wood Magazine subscription earlier this week even though it does not expire until April 2017. The Bill was from 'Publishers Payment.' I trashed the publishers payment service 'bill' after checking out their web site ([redacted]) and will wait for a renewal notice directly from Wood Magazine. I advised Wood Magazine of this "bill" and they advised that according to their records, they never authorized this agency to act as a subscription selling agent for Wood Magazine. They further indicated that their records show my subscription and my gift subscription to a good friend both will expire with the December/January 2017 issue. Wood Magazine noted that all renewal notifications, and invoices will come from: Wood, [redacted] ###-###-####.

How did Publishers Payment get my subscription information? How can I get OFF their list? The mailing that received is downright deceiving! While their mailing did not fool me it did annoy me. In addition, it appears to be "official" enough to fool many folks. This outfit should be made to clearly define that they are NOT AUTHORIZED to represent any publisher!!!!!Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me and also revise alll mailings to clearly show that they are NOT authorized representatives of Wood Magazine. I assume that they pull teh same scam for other magazines as well.

Review: I just opened an invoice from [redacted] no other name or addresson the envelope or inoice. The are requesting payment for 129.95 indicating a control numer[redacted] covering Washington Times Weekly Edition 104 issues 2 years. I have never heard of this company or this publication. I've heard of scams like this as the invoice is printed in red "Notice of Renewal/New Order. Please do whatever is necessary to get me name off this list. Thank you. Sorry for the misspells, I'm angry as something like this happened with a "free" language course and it almost ruined my credit. Please advise.

Review: Publishers Payment Processing continues to send me solicitations in the mail despite a verbal request from me to stop all solicitations. I have called their customer service department asking them to stop sending me solicitations in the mail and to put me on their non-solicitation list.Desired Settlement: I want Publishers Payment Processing to put me on their non-solicitation list and stop sending me advertising via mail.

Business

Response:

Customer has been removed from mailing list .It can take 90 days to stop receiving the offers as these agency pre-print the offers 90 days in advance.

Review: Received 2 "Notice of Renewal/New Order" invoices for 2 magazines which I do not currently receive nor which I ever indicated anywhere at anytime that I wanted to subscribe to.

Furthermore they are for outrageous amounts - far, far more than both the full cover price and any reasonable subscription offer. 1 bill was for $69.95 for a 1 year subscription! This company's business practice of blindly sending bills when no order or reorder has ever been made is obviously designed to prey upon individuals who assume the invoice is legitimate.Desired Settlement: Delete my name and all other personal contact information from your records and never ever contact me again with you unethical and disreputable business practices.

Review: In June, 2013, I received a notice in the mail that my subscription to Daily Word would soon expire. The notice came from a company called Publishers Payment Processing which I assumed was the outsource company handing the subscriptions for Daily Word because the letter contained such data. I went online and bought a subscription to Daily Word via the Publishers Payment Processing web site using my VISA credit card for a payment of $49.95. I thought at the time that the subscription price had increased, but because everything else was going up in price, I disregard this reservation.

This week I received a notice from the real Daily Word publisher stating that my subscription would expire February **, 104. Today I called the Customer Service department of Daily Word at ###-###-####. I was told that I should contact the Publishers Payment Processing company and to ask it for a refund. The current price for a subscription to Daily Word from the Daily Word official company is one year for $14.95 and for two years for $24.95. Daily Word is published bimonthly. I have received only two issues of Daily Word since buying the subscription from Publishers Payment Processing. I contacted Publishers Payment Processing today at ###-###-####, and I was told that I could ask for a refund of $35.00; however the processing fee would be $20.00 with no guarantee that a refund would be granted. I decided not to spend $20.00 for the appeal for a refund. I am making you aware of the misleading practices of the Publishers Payment Processing company. Their fee of $49.95 was for only one year which is $35.00 more than the one year subscription charged by the official company of Daily Word. The advertisement from Publishers Payment Processing led me to believe that it was the only official way to subscribe to Daily Word. This is deceptive.Desired Settlement: I hope that you can look into business practices of advertising of the Publishers Payment Processing company and take action to prevent other consumers from experiencing over charging from such misleading and deceptive advertising. Of course I would like to get a refund from Publishers Payment Processing based on the same price for one year's subscription to Daily Word that is charged by the official Daily Word company. ($49/.95 minus $14.95= $35.00) The cost of each issue at the Daily Word official company is $2.49, but the cost of each issue of Daily Word from Publishers Payment Processing is $8.32 per issue.

Review: I have not received a subscription paid for in Nov. 2014 for a magazine- Atlantic- $74.95.

Numerous calls and a promise to get back to me after an email to a superior, then more calls, kicked off the phonecall line after 16 minutes three times.

My control number identifier is [redacted], which brings up my account information.Desired Settlement: Full refund of amount paid.

Review: I had placed an order with Publisher's Payment Processing Inc for a subscription to Sew News magazine. I never received any magazines, only a subscription cancellation notice from Sew News. When I inquired as to why the subscription was cancelled, they informed me that they never received payment from Publisher's Payment Processing Inc. In the process of contacting Publisher's Payment, I also found out that they were charging almost twice as much for 6 issues than what Sew News charges for 12!

On June **, 2013, I spoke to a young man named [redacted] and he told me the refund would be issued by check and I can expect to receive that in 4-6 weeks. On 8/*/2013, I had still not received anything so I called again and spoke to [redacted] who said it was in the system and she apologized for the delay.

Once again, I called this AM, August **, 2013, as I still not have received my refund! I spoke with [redacted] and she informed me that the refund was approved on August *, 2013 and that it would be ANOTHER 4-6 weeks before I received my refund!! I find this totally unreasonable! It has been 2 months since my first phone call!! It should not take 4 months to receive a refund! I feel they are trying to keep my money and are giving me the run around!Desired Settlement: I want the check expedited ASAP!!! no more delays or waiting!!!

I received my check from the company today!!!

Sincerely,

Review: After investigating, I see there are a number of complaints against this and related companies. I renewed a subscription for them at double the rate in July. The amount has not been credited to the subscription. I have since renewed my subscription with the magazine itself for half the price and have sent this company a request for refund.Desired Settlement: These businesses should be closed; I think there is enough evidence through many complaints that they are not legitimate.

Business

Response:

Customer was contacted in regards to complaint. Refund being processed in full and will be received with in 10-15 business days. Customer satisfied.
