I purchased vehicle and was told that the car only needed a transmission mound but found out it burned oil, turns off, and has 13 check engine lightsI purchased a 2004 bmw 325ci convertible on March 10, 2016. When I arrived the car was being looked at by mechanics. I asked was there anything wrong with the car and was told no, that they were just checking it before I made the purchase. I discovered that the car had 169,000 miles on it after being told on the phone that it had 150,000. I should've known then that they were up to something. During the test drive I again asked was there anything wrong with the car. I was told that it needed a transmission mound and I asked how much that would be and was told $200. I asked if $200 could be taken off of the price because I had to make that repair and was told yes. I then again asked is there anything else wrong with the car because I have a 2 hour drive and didn't want to be stuck on the side of the road. I was told no and that it was a good car but the owner no longer wanted it so he was selling it for the owner. After making it home, 2 hours away, I had a mechanic to look at the car to make sure that I needed the transmission mound. I found out that the car had no oil left in it because all of the oil burned out on the ride home. They filled the car up with oil at the dealership before I left so I know it had oil in it. I also found out that I had 13 out of 30 check engine lights on. These repairs will cost $2500.00 + dollars to have done. I called the dealership and informed them of what was going on and was told the only thing I can do was take it to a mechanic and get it fixed on my own and they hung up. I was mislead, lied to and taken advantage of and now have a car that I can't even drive.Desired SettlementI would prefer a refund but will settle for at least an exchange for a better car.Business Response All customers have the right to have the car checked out before purchase by a mechanic as written on the as is no warranty buyers guide. The customer is also told the vehicle is as is no warranty several times. These things are very unfortunate but we are unable to assist. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not accept this response because as I stated before I was lied to about the condition of the car just so I could make the purchase. They knew the car wasn't any good so they told me whatever they needed to, to get it off of their hands. I have taken this car to 4 different mechanics and they all said that I was ripped off and that I needed to take the car back. They wouldn't even fix the car because they said that it would cost more money to repair the car than I paid for the car and they didn't think that was a good idea. I appreciate their honesty as opposed to these lying, manipulating people at Quality Auto Sales. I will not give up, I am fighting this until the end because this is completely unacceptable.Final Business Response The customer purchased the vehicle knowing they have no warranty's. Just because you go on Revdex.com and file a complaint doesn't mean we going to just give you a car unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Also to say someone wouldn't fix your car is absurd. No real mechanic is going tell you not to fix it. The only thing I am willing to do at this point is for you to bring the written estimate of a shop and I will gladly fix the car at a discount. If we cant result in an agreement to this I have nothing further to say. Thanks,Colby

Review: Went on 12-05-15 to take a look on a [redacted] that saw on dealer website . Took it for test drive but notice that check engine light was on and let the salesman that I like the truck and will buy it if any issues were fixed and write it down. Salesman man promised on writing that skip in motor and engine light also before consumer leave dealer with truck. On 12-08-15 went to pick up the truck and light wasn't on start driving home after a couple miles light came on called the dealer immediately and they said just drive it like that for a week. After calling dealer for the next couple weeks I got an appointment on 12-29-15to sscan the truck when got to dealer was told to leave the truck. A week went by and no calls from dealer, stopped by on 01-05-16 to see the status of my truck and was told that can't figure it out and they are sending the truck to another shop to get fix. Reason why I bought the truck was to make some extra money and if it's at the shop I'm not making money and still have to make payments. Also I use it as transportation to go to my appointments at the veteran hospital on West Haven .Desired Settlement: Make the repairs necessary without runaround on a timely manner.

Response:

This vehicle has no guarantee, we replaced the catalytic converter on Jan 5,2016 at no charge as a courtesy to the customer which was $245.00. The vehicle needs transmission work , the customer was advised not to drive the vehicle that he could damage it further which would make the repairs more costly. We offered to fix the vehicle and gave him an approx. estimate of $600.00 to $700.00 which we would pay half of. Customer refused to have the vehicle repaired and is taking the vehicle back against our advise.

Review: Upon returning from military training, I was expecting to pick up my car that I had placed a deposit on and signed an sales agreement but instead they had sold my car to the next individualI asked for my refund and they denied me.Desired Settlement: $

I am rejecting this response because: I am not happy with the business that they have tried to provide for meit was not understood that I had military priority first and wasn't able to receive the vehicle until I returnedThe salesman that I was keeping in contact with was fired from the company and after that had happen no more communication was providedI no longer want to receive any type of business from themNot only did I tell them I wanted a dodge charger but I also told them a Honda accord along with another selectionnot only is it against the law to withhold a customers deposit but it's bad business and would expect a professional business to act more accordingly instead if denying access to a customers own moneyI went to make a purchase of a vehicle not to donate money to a dealership

I missed 2 payments on the vehicle I purchased, and they came to my house with a spare key to my car, and took it. They must have had a tracking device on my car as well. Is this even legal?

Review: I purchased a ml 350 truck from this dealer in October of 2015, I tried to return the truck because it was basically rigged up .I give this dealer 80 percent of my money which was 5,000..I was trying to pay it out for 5,900.but they wouldn't agree so they added on 2,700 more.long story short the truck continued to break down it was under warranty .the battery was old and I literally had to take pictures of the old battery so they could change it which at one point they charged me $99.00 dollars to charge this battery knowing they didn't Change it.the truck keep breaking down I bought the truck to a certified mechinic and the drive shaft needed to be fixed.which quality auto sales give me false documents of things they had fixed and one was the drive shaft. Now they didn't give me this right away they waited until I had asked for all the things they fixed .I would have never purchased this truck if I know it needed a new drive shaft.when dealer was confronted he told me why dont I drive a horse and his daughter was also there being rude.I ended up putting more money into this truck and I also was out of work for two weeks. I was behind in payments because of repairing the truck .on may 5 ,2105 they repossed the truck I owed 1900 which I was behind 500.00 dollars. I had recently moved to [redacted] they came to [redacted] to get it .I didn't receive in notice of intent for them to come get the vehicle. When I called car financial they said it was all on the dealer and they never told me a bank was going to be involved its no where on my paperwork .it was suppose to be buy here pay here.this dealership is very trifling and because if them I'm in a financial set back.Desired Settlement: I give them 80 percent and on top of that I had to put over 500.00 dollars and more into this truck .it really put me in a financial set back and they handled everything unprofessional. I truly believe they owe me my $5,000 back I worked hard for that money and I trusted them and they sold me a lemon the car wasn't drivable.they repossed it after I fixed certain things which it still needed more repairs.up until today I have no vehicle and it really put me in a financial set back.
