I want to know if the "system error" has been fixedIf it hasn't, when will it be fixedIt is very odd that this system error occurred when it did Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 11, 2014/06/24) */ Attached is AEP Energy's response to the above follresponse Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 13, 2014/06/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) How do they know it was an "isolated, one time event" if it was really a system error? I am not letting this go because they are obviously lyingSaying they "aren't charging an early temination fee" for a situation that never should have happened does not make the situation go awayDuane

I will accept the response with one minor correctionThe check was cut on 8/29/14, not 8/21/as statedIt took over days to get my money returnedI do appreciate the apology Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2014/09/26) */ Please see attached follresponse

They claim that I do not have an account with themI have an account with AEP Ohio and it is not possible to file a Revdex.com complaint directly with AEP Ohio; the only address that can be selected is AEP Energy's address AEP Ohio has the following addresses (which are not selectable when filing a complain): AEP Ohio PO BOX XXXXX [redacted] OH XXXXX-XXXX [redacted] AVE SW [redacted] OH XXXXX This seems to be a tactic for them to avoid having to deal with any complaintsIf you look back through some of the other Revdex.com complaints there are other people pointing out the same issue Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 10, 2014/09/22) */ FollResponse attached Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 13, 2014/09/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have already tried contacting AEP Ohio directly prior to filing this complaint and they are unwilling to resolve the issueAEP Ohio and AEP Energy are both subsidiaries of AEP (reference http://www.aepenergy.com/blog/what-is-the-difference-between-aep-energy-and-aep-... and since only AEP Energy is on Revdex.com, it is reasonable to expect somebody to get this complain forwarded to the appropriate parties at AEP OhioI have tried calling AEP Ohio's customer service and they will not escalate beyond a supervisor

Each company is blaming the other and no one will assume responsibilityOther customers need to be aware of the underhanded billing practices that are occurring with these companies and how they do not have any customer service since they just blame each other and leave the customer hanging Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 11, 2014/08/28) */ Attached is AEP Energy's response to the above case Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 13, 2014/08/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They continue to point to another and that entity points to themNo one will accept ownershipI've been a customer for many years and never late and they treat their good customers like this? UnacceptableOthers need to know of their bad practices

This company, like many energy resellers offer little advantage over [redacted] offerings They are quick to compile fees and penalties and then cancel contracts should bills be paid lateWe missed a couple payment dates, but otherwise paid our balances AEP cancelled our contract, demanded full payment and penalties and then sent the account to collectionsWe eventually negotiated a payoff which was paid in full We are again being harassed by a collection company on an account that have been paid and closed for three years STAY AWAY!

An average of 35kWh per day (135,628/3,918) for months (days) equates to 19,180kWh, or $at $0.01/kWh, not $A check issued to me or a credit issued against the AEP Energy account are the only acceptable forms of settlement, not a [redacted] gift card since it cannot be used to pay the bill they send meThe remittance must be for a total of $due to the inconvenience caused me, the time and effort required to even get a response from AEP Energy, and the emotional distress the BREACH of contract has caused Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 11, 2014/09/22) */ Follresponse attached Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 13, 2014/09/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Unacceptable form of paymentI've constantly informed AEPEnergy that a Prepaid [redacted] card is not acceptable because it cannot be converted to cast can only be used for discretionary purchasesTo use it to pay a utility bill incurs additional costs, for example, in the form of feesPlus it must be used before 3/or the remaining balance disappearsI am on disability, have very limited income, and need to pay non-discretionary billsI need a Check or a credit issued to the AEPEnergy account for $ That AEPEnergy ignores my request for a Check or Credit to my AEPEnergy account is reprehensible!!

The response by AEP Energy was just a direction to send my complain to its affiliate AEP OhioWhen I went to submit my complaint on the Revdex.com website and entered the nearest zip code to my location, I was sent to AEP EnergyTherefore, I can only place a complaint to AEP EnergyRather than pass [redacted] my complaint for them to improve their payment services, they choose instead to say basically it is someone else's problemI still do not wish any personal, direct compensation, merely that the company recognizes the difficulty it raises

Employees are rude

My situation is similar to those reviews I just readDon't use this companyI switched in September and lock in to a six month rateAt about the same time I also switched to auto pay with my distribution companyAEP I assume decided this would be a good time to scam me and began charging my account almost double what the contract amount was suppose to beI confirmed with one of there agents that my rate was incorrectI was transferred to another agent who proceeded to tell me that my rate was auto renewed at a higher rateI haven't auto renewed my account in years as I shop for energy ever to monthsSo don't bother with this company over a couple of cents off your energy bill just move on to the next best offerThey scammed me good, don't get scammed

I inadvertently made auto payments and when I contacted them to clear it up I was given miss information on how it was to be handled When asked today about it they said that they couldn't help me with the miss information They couldn't even apologize Basically when I make a mistake on something with their company they have a lot of recourse but me as an individual when they make a mistake I don't even get an ignolagement that they messed up

I would definitely not recommend this company as I feel they are unethical in their practices I signed up on 10/28/via the internet with a contract that was to last through the May billing cycle Everything went smoothly until I received a letter dated 7/14/from my electricity deliverer stating that since I had canceled my current electricity provider, they, the delivery company would also be the provider I immediately called the provider and questioned it They confirmed what the letter said, that I had canceled my provider and suggested I call the supplier So, I called them and spoke with a rep who said "You spoke with *** on 7/13/and asked to cancel your service." I assured her that I had not called on that date (or any other date) to cancel my contract I also asked if she had a recording of this alleged phone call but she didn't answer that questionI told her that I wanted them to reinstate my contract at the previously agreed rate She said that since it was already canceled, they could only start a new contract And, of course, it was a noticeably higher rate I told her "No thank you I will take my business elsewhere if this is how you treat your customers." At the time I wondered how many other customers may have had this same "scam" perpetrated on them because the company wanted to get out of a long-term contract

I will not accept this response as
resolutionAs I stated before in my complaint to the Revdex.com, AEP Energy, and AEP OH; I never received a bill for the amount that has been reported to a collection agencyThe first correspondence I received for that amount, as well as notified of a balance due or a delinquent account, was the collection letter I received from AEP Energy in March for charges from DecemberI paid my final bill in December or early January, as advised by AEP OH, as the last bill and the final account balance due for AEP OH and AEP EnergyAEP OH verified that information to me as well, when I contacted them about the collection letter I received from AEP EnergyThis is why they generated the itemized billing for the last two yearsAccording to AEP OH, AEP Energy should have called me and discussed me moving, at that point they should have discussed further options for serviceI was not called by AEP EnergyPer AEP OH, they did not receive correspondence as from AEP Energy until the end of JanuaryI had already paid my account in full and they sent the bill back to AEP Energy to collectI assume AEP Energy didn't receive or process until the end of February, as I did not receive the collection letter until MarchI never received a bill from AEP Energy for this amount, I did not know this balance existed, I assumed my balance was paid in full because I had a zero balance per AEP OH, how was I supposed to know I had a balance without a bill and with a zero balance on my AEP OH accountI had no idea that my contract was cancelling with AEP EnergyAll I did was contact AEP OH a week or so before I had to move, I did not know I had to move until a week prior to moving, and I did not know that would cancel my service with AEP EnergyActually when I called AEP OH, the resident that purchased the home I currently lived in *** St), and set up her service to start December or 31, 2013; which automatically scheduled my account to close for that addressWhen I spoke with the AEP OH rep, they told me the resident doing such, automatically canceled my account for the address, he set up my new service, I was not told that I had to contact AEP Energy for anythingI didn't even know I didn't have a contract with AEP Energy until I received the collection noticeThe AEP Energy csr told me I was NOT on a budget with them, which I was not aware of, especially when I had to call multiple times to be put on a budget, when I first started using AEP EnergyThe csr then informed me that AEP OH was not billing me properly for AEP Energy servicesWhen I spoke to the csr at AEP OH, I was notified of the AEP Energy bill being returned to AEP Energy in February, she agreed that AEP OH did not bill me for the balance past due from AEP Energy after my account was paid in full and closed, the AEP Energy bill was returned to AEP Energy from AEP OH, that they did pay AEP Energy correctly based on the bills AEP OH received from AEP Energy, and that AEP Energy is responsible to contact me when cancelling service or movingAgain, I had no idea that I was cancelling my AEP Energy account, I was only setting up service for my new addressMaybe the purchaser for my current house, *** St, impacted my accountNo matter what, I never received a bill for the past due amount that was sent to collections from AEP Energy, until I received the collection letterThen for AEP OH to tell me they handled the situation on their end per policies, but AEP Energy did not, is very aggravatingI tried to pay the bill even though I was making a report to the Revdex.com, not noted anywhere on the collection notice I received, I was told by a AEP Energy csr that they only except checks via mailSo, I tried to pay the bill regardless, but because it was not made clear on the collection letter form AEP Energy; my payment would not have been timely anywayIt appears to me that AEP OH and AEP Energy need to clear this billThis is clearly not my faultI don't know bills exist if I don't receive a billHad I not received the information from AEP OH that AEP Energy could have prevented this error, AEP Energy did not follow policies, or received a bill before a collection notice; I would've gladly paid my billI am not employed right now, I am a full-time student, and if I must pay this bill; I want four months to due soThey took four months to notify me of the bill for the first time, gave me a couple weeks to pay the bill or further collection would be necessary, and now I will have a ding on my credit reportWonderful customer service practices

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2014/05/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As I stated before, AEP OH did not bill me for that amountThey told me that themselvesThey sent the print out to me, to show the Revdex.com with my complaint, how they billed meI was told by AEP OH, they did not receive the invoice for that amount or another amount from AEP Energy, for that billing date for my last bill due to my movingSo, at the time they last billed me; they removed AEP Energy from the billThey billed me only their charges because they never received the invoice for that billing period from AEP EnergyAccording to AEP OH, they did not receive the bill from AEP Energy until January, then immediately returned the bill to AEP Energy, and all unknown to meThen I got a collection letter in MarchSo, out of nowhere I received a collection letter for a balance I did NOT know existed, meaning the collection letter was my first bill seeing the balanceJust because AEP Energy sent the bill to AEP OH, like normal, doesn't mean they billed me and they sent the invoice to show that to the Revdex.comIf you look at the detailed information I provided from AEP OH, there is the date they billed me, the date I paid the bill, the date they received the AEP Energy bill AFTER I paid my last bill to AEP OH, and the date and amount they returned for the bill back to AEP EnergyAEP OH and AEP Energy never billed me for the chargesThe point isn't about trying to get out of paying a bill,.to pay the bill, but it was very upsetting to receive a collection letter and know nothing about the billI did not hear of this bill, know of this bill, I had no idea I owed this moneyI think that because I was not billed properly, AEP OH or AEP OH should write off or pay the balanceI paid the amount billed by AEP OH and from January and on, I had no balance for AEP EnergyAEP OH also noted that it is their agreement that AEP Energy with my situation, I was moving into a new home, I should have been contacted by AEP Energy to square away any account information, last billings, and train
