Quality Services Moving Reviews (%countItem)

I’m now physically sick as QSM issues a stop work order to the truck driver and his one helper as I have asked the Revdex.com for help. The driver didn’t want to loose his job so he left with about 25% of our items still on the truck. As we are in day three of what was to be a one day completed delivery I broke down and cried.

The driver showed up at 8:15 and no one was here from the company to help him. He left in his moving truck to return with one helper for a still significant unloading. When they started bringing items in, our boxes were upside down and torn. Many were un-numbered — I am checking the inventory sheets myself - it’s added insult to injury.

One of Quality Services Moving success stories is they moved ***. That’s good for sales — yet what our family’s experienced is failure.

I am rejecting this response because:it does not solve the outstanding issue of the company holding our household items at an unknown location under unknown conditions after the company billed our credit card for the amount due. We have no communication from the business since 9/14, when they drove off still undelivered items on their truck.

Military move from temp storage to ***. Hired to pickup additional items from *** on the way to *** to move all items. Items specific as "IMPORTANT" for move were 65inch flat screen TV and 3 tables with glass tops. Movers arrived to *** without room for any items other than one TV. Had to go to *** to drop items to allow for room in the moving truck. Some items, including 1/3 piece of a sectional, were not included in shipment. Returned to *** and came without any moving supplies including ZERO BOXES OR TAPE, and nothing to pad or wrap the TV or glass tables with. Written clearly, on the first line of the invoice is the information about the 65 inch TV and other boxes, etc. When I called the day of to verify, I was told two trucks were coming to do one move each. Only one truck and one crew was sent. Then when I called the office line again to ask why nothing was correct, they said to let the movers move the other items first and go back for the TV and tables. They also said they didn't understand why it changed and said it must have been a dispatch issue and they would call me back. I got no call. So I called again and they said to have the moving crew move the items anyway. The moving crew said I shouldn't do that because they have no way to protect the TV or glass and if it breaks, they won't cover it. So I asked them not to. But now I was charged for a moving crew to move some boxes and roller bags that I could've done myself with my truck. Then I still had to find a way to move the fragile items. If I knew they weren't going to move the TV and glass tables, I would have just turned them away from the beginning. Now I can not get a call back and can not get a response from the company. I have already complained about this to my moving manager for my military move.

Thank you for allowing us the time to review Ms. complaint. All documents relating to Ms. COD move were thoroughly reviewed. Ms. was charged a total of $380.00 for her COD move. The estimate, provided to Ms., which Ms. agreed to was for the services of a 2 man moving crew, at a rate of $120.00 per hour for an estimated 2 hours time, plus $120.00 travel fee and $20.00 surcharge.

In addition the estimate was based on labor needed to move the estimated 632 pounds of household goods, including 10 boxes, 2 trunks, and 1 big screen TV as listed on her estimate and per her request. The coffee table and 2 end tables Ms. references were not included in her estimate. Additionally, Ms. did not request any packing services or packing supplies, therefore she was not charged for either as she stated in her complaint.

All services provided to Ms. in her estimate and based on her request, were completed by Quality Services Moving with the exception of moving 1 large screen TV. At this time, we will gladly provide Ms. a refund of $60.00, equivalent to .50 hour of labor for the 1 TV we did not move. A refund will be posted to Ms. credit card on file.

(Ms. also had a separate military move, paid for and contracted separately by the Department of Defense which is unrelated to the $380.00 Ms. is disputing)

I am rejecting this response because: As stated in the email, and as stated in my email correspondence with Mr. Mark R, the major factor and reason for hiring the company was for the TV. Why on earth would you send a moving crew to move a large and very expensive TV without any packing or moving supplies. Not to mention them showing up only prepared to move the TV and nothing else. So either you were going to move the TV and the items on the estimate or you weren't. You can't have it both ways. If the estimate was for all of the items stated, then should the moving crew not have been prepared and have room in the truck for all the items given on the estimate? Out of all of my military moves, this has not only been the worst experience, but the most unprofessional company I've experienced. I've already complained to my military move manager and have suggested this company never to be used for military or government moves again.

One of the worst experiences. Took them 12 hours for a2 bedroom condo to move to storage for 10 days. The company did not supply adequate materials for them to do their job. Movers bickering constantly about working, each other, and the company. Very unprofessional. Large items not inventoried. Company was glad to contact me when they wanted their money. But not so quick to reply when I had questions or concerns. Sent in claim for missing item and also requested callback. Crickets. Was promised some sort of compensation for all the issues. Again have not heard back. So much more to add...... Do not use this company unless you want headaches

Terrible is too good of a word for this company. They only present a final contract after they pack your home. The packers are not professionals to say the least. Many items ar3 broken. None of pur matresses has protective covers. Once the ruck arrived at the new home. There was only 1 man to do the job of 3. No one attempted to rectify the issue. In fact the owners son was rude, unprofessional, and a bully to myself and my husband (who ended up unloading the truck with the one gentlemen) They refused to after our 3rd call for help to even answer the phone. We had 1 man to unload a 4 bedroom home! Now they claimed that a check bounced. We didn't pay by check. We paid by Amex (we now have an open dispute over the bill since my husband did 50% of the work of 2 unloaders who were no where to be seen. They even stopped communicating with the employee who did show) Their lack of professionalism, thievery and chauvinistic attitude is evident in everything that has so far transpired. Hidden fees, broken dishes (the bow was labeled fragile high value but they put our Crystal on the bottom of the box) Beware of these disgusting excuse for quality movers.

Quality Services Moving and Delivery Response • Jul 27, 2018

Mr. Davis brought some of these concerns to the Claims department and they were immediately addressed by both the Claims department and owner of the company, promptly.
Contrary to the remarks made in this review; a contract is provided the customer prior to the move. Once that contract is signed, the move is booked and scheduled in accordance with the customer's needs. Once the packing is completed, the shipper is provided with a complete Inventory.
All the mattresses were packed in cartons.
The owner's son is not employed by the company, therefore would not have spoken to Mr. and Mrs. Davis to "bully" them.
Packing was in fact paid for with a check that was not authorized by the payer's bank. Customer subsequently paid for all services provided.
Shipper was also provided a generous refund by the owner.
As for packed damages, Shipper has been provided with instructions of how to file their claim however have not filed their claim yet. Once filed, their claim will be processed, in accordance to the valuation option they selected for their move and in accordance with all federal regulations and the American Moving and Storage Association.
We look forward to receiving and processing Mr. and Mrs. Davis Claim.

THEY LOST VALUABLE ITEMS AND WOULD NOT MAKE GOOD ON THEM.

Contracted with the business to provide packing of home and moving from Gainesville, VA to Fredericksburg, VA. Two hours late after workers had already moved two other homes and exhausted. Left my home in disarray. Did not disburse any boxes throughout the home. Left everything in the garage. Boxes not packed properly- many many broken items-- broken china, broken furniture- furniture not put together like contracted-- many boxes only had one inappropriately packed item in them ( relevant as I was charged to pack and per box over 3K). Also missing jewelry and rolex watches. I have pictures etc... I have been contacting to Mike S to no avail. Persons were supposedly going to get back in touch to finish and go through broken items etc.. No one has called back. I am a 75 year old military widow and am appalled that I would be treated in such a manner.

NEGATIVE: Services were to include long-distance relocation with short term storage, special packing of grandfather clocks, marble table and 400 lb gun safe. Misleading sales tactics-price quoted and agreed upon was only one part of the move with and oops! my bad explanation. Disgruntled workers-one professional showed up on move-out with day-laborers without the proper "tools" for special services. Packing was not appropriate and upon delivery NUMEROUS items damaged or destroyed. Family heirloom items that cannot be replaced or repaired to original VALUABLE condition. Never get a live-person on the phone. Erroneous unsubstantiated charges to our credit card. Took out additional insurance and will be placing BIG claim but, given the overall culture of the company, we expect to have to hire an attorney for resolution.

Everything about them from start to finish was absolutely terrible. I paid to have them pack my kitchen and everything on my walls. They called me the morning they were supposed to come out and said they were sending 4 people and only 1 showed up. When I called them back they were surprised and said 4 were dispatched and they would see what was going on and call me back. I had to call them back several times and was left with only one person the entire day. Then, they had my move date wrong, and after trying to fix it several times I had to adjust my schedule and the schedule of those that were helping me because they didn't make things right. Then on moving day (which was the wrong day as mentioned earlier) they said they were supposed to have 5 people moving, but only showed up with 3. They started at 9:30am and didn't finish until almost midnight!!!! They did not put things where they were supposed to go..damaged some things..etc. I did not sign anything about what was to be charged to my account because it was too late for them to tell me the total when they left here, so I did not give them authorization to charge my account. Lastly, out of the nowhere they charged my account for an amount that was not authorized...the sales person was called and texted several times, but never responded. Poor poor customer service, management, time management, etc. I would NEVER recommend this company for anything..you would be better off hiring random people off the street and get better results.

I am rejecting this response because: The job was for 5 movers and I only received 3. I contacted Operations several times to discuss and they continuously told me that they were trying to get other movers out there. They DID NOT contact me. The same thing that happened when 4 packers were to show up, but only 1 actually did. I did not speak to the sales rep several times. The last correspondence from her was when I advised her, via text, that my move date was incorrect and she replied "I will make it work". I sent that text to Operations as well. She didn't contact me again until a week after the move saying "I hope the move went ok". She was well aware that the move did not go ok because I had texted and called her several times with no response. So, not only did they not move me on the correct day, but they did not send the number of movers that they were supposed to. The damage to my things is moot, as the entire job was incorrect and the damage to my things is not my dispute, but rather just an additional problem.

Leading up to our move Quality Services Moving provided the greatest information about how to move across the state. They promised a move that would not simply place boxes at the thresholdin the garage but instead would deliver the boxes to each room. I was told they would take apart and put back together our furniture. I was promised that they would do everything except quotput the sheets on our bedquot and I paid a price to match that. The moving team arrived on both days of our two day move without any tools needed to disassemble and reassemble our furniture. We had to supply the tools some of which we had to go out and purchase. Quality Services Moving and Delivery Response

Good AFternoon,

*** never contacted our claims department to report and file a claim for her damages she referred to in this Revdex.com complaint. I have attached a copy of the email I have sent to her along with Claim Form and instructions. She had contacted our Sales Rep. Mike S a few days ago regarding her issues with the service during her move. He assured her he would meet with the company owner to discuss and follow up with her to provide a resolution, however it seems she has not afforded him the opportunity. I will now be reviewing her services provided, the fees she was charged to determine if she is due a refund. I see in this Revdex.com complaint filed, *** has requested a refund of $750.00 I'd like to request how *** determined that figure as a refund she believes she is owed.

Thank you

Customer Response

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID. I don't fully accept their response because they had questions for me and some of the information in their response was erroneous. To answer their question: I requested a refund of $750 because we were considering using another moving company who said our move would cost $1500 less than what Quality would cost. However, I chose to go with Quality based on what was promised to me regarding the level of service. I did not think that asking $1500 was fair, so I requested half of that.

I did contact the claims department and the salesman, Mike S. The claims department alerted us that we had 9 months to prepare our claim, and we have been working on tracking down all of the information they require to file the claim. So that is false that we did not contact claims. And I contacted Mike to complain via phone and email. He responded to me after my third email message to him and said that he would be following up once our claim was filed.

On the secondlast day of our move some boxes were placed in the appropriate rooms as indicated on the outside of the box. However about 13 of the boxes were placed in the garage which was specifically advertised to me as something they would not do.
