Review: My car was damaged when parked in a garage where I had been monthly parking for almost two years. FYI the garage is right below my building and mostly serve clients in the building. On ** Sep 2015 I noticed there was a dent on the side of my car's door when I shortly drove my car on to the driveway to show my potential buyer. I immediately drove my car back to the garage and showed the valet the damage. The garage manager filed a claim (#[redacted]) for me however their investigation concluded that it's not their fault and the only reason is that I've already driven out my car so they don't hold accountable. This has caused my car's valuation drop more than 10k due to the damage and the garage is not even willing to fix the repair for me. I'm very upset about that. I sent out a follow up email to explain what happened on that day and emphasized that since my car and I were always around the garage (in the building's driveway in fact) so everything was under surveillance and I was willing to provide the contact of my witness. But so far I'm not hearing any feedback from them.Desired Settlement: Reimburse the cost of car repair.

Review: credit card was charged for every month parking at $375/car for 2 vehicles. however, payments are not being applied to my 2 vehicles, and they say at the garage that I owe them money. I have proof on credit card with payments since January of this year till october * every month of $375/month and it has to be applied to my 2 vehicles.Desired Settlement: I want them to settle the payment and apply all my payments to my 2 vehicles, and update their records immediately.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

For the second time in 5 months QuikPark ([redacted] location) has arbitrarily raised monthly rates without notifying customers in advance. I was surprised and annoyed to see the rate hikes on the monthly bill. I cannot believe this is even legal. But I continue to park because there was no vacancy in other nearby garages. In addition, their customer service sucks big time. They damaged my car last year and it took me three months of endless phone calls and emails and talking to their general counsel before they agreed to fix the issue.

Review: We parked in the city on 06/**/2014. We provided a coupon, and upon entry, were told as long as we picked up the vehcile by 12am we would be charged $26. When we came to pick up the car, the price went up to $44. My wife first started talking to the men in the office. She got no where, so I decided to step in. When I went to talk to the workers, they spoke a different language right in front of my face. Their response to doing so was that they workes "may not understand english". From that point on, they had no problem speaking in English. I asked to speak to the person in charge, they said they had no one there. I asked for a corporate number to call, they refused to give it to me because they were not there. I walked to the sinage on the building and found a 24 hour number. I have called the number at least four times and no one has called me back. At this point, with my two little nieces in the car, it was approaching 1am. They would not honor the price still and told us to call the police. We called the police, which they informed us this happens all of the time and to file a complaint with our credit card and the Revdex.com. I work in customer service, specifcally travel, and when a customer is dissatisfied, you take care of them. This was not the case at all.Desired Settlement: Due to the time they kept me at the garage (over an hour and a half) and trying to get more money out of us, I would like a full refund back.

Review: I am a monthly parker with Quik Park Corporation. This is complaint about the corporation practices and not the employees at the garage.

This is the second time this Corporation has arbitrarily raised our monthly fees without any type of notification.

They don't list the names of the owners, if you go to the website.Desired Settlement: I want my bill to remain the same for another year. I can't not take an increase in my garage expense. And they most likely will raise it again next year. This is too much. They own many Quik Parks around New York City. I am sure I am not the only one complaining about their practices.

Review: I attended a NY Yankee game at Yankee Stadium on June **, 2015, and used this garage to park for the game. Upon arrival, a machine gave a parking ticket. I took the ticket, parked my car & went to a different machine to pay $35 (incl. tax). At the machine I loaded the parking ticket and my debit card for payment. I was given a receipt for my transaction after approximately waiting 2-3 minutes for it to print, but the ticket was not returned to me by the machine. I was not aware, nor was there any signage on the machine indicating that I needed the ticket for exit from the garage after the game. I happened to glance at the receipt about 15 minutes later & noticed that it said "Must Have Parking Ticket. Receipt Will Not Grant Exit From Lot" (I am paraphrasing as I do not have the receipt in front of me as I type this complaint). I went back to the parking garage immediately to try to resolve this and was basically told there was nothing that they would do and that I would have to pay again after the game. The [redacted] stated that someone else probably took my paid ticket and would get to park for free. There was no offer of any resolution, no ability to cancel out the paid ticket and issue me a new one, nothing but "You will just have to pay again". The total time from when I paid till this interaction was between 15-20minutes, and was still 90 minutes before the event (Yankee game) even began. Once the game ended and I attempted to leave I was told I had to wait for a [redacted] (almost 15 minutes) because I didn't have a ticket to redeem for payment, or a paid ticket to exit the garage. The same [redacted] that I had spoken to before the game came over & began yelling at me and saying "I told you that you need to pay again". I paid again with the same debit card because I was told if I didn't pay I couldn't leave with my car! I feel that this is a scam by the parking garage, and have read an article in the NY Post written over a year ago (August **, 2014) about this very same scam. The signage at the automated machines to get your parking ticket and at the machines to pay for the parking should CLEARLY STATE to make sure you have your ticket at all times, the machines need to be fixed to RETURN your ticket after paying, and the RUDE [redacted] staff needs to be replaced!! I also feel that there should be a way to remedy this for the customer, especially when it was brought to the [redacted]'s attention BEFORE any attempt was made by me to exit the garage, and well before the event (Yankee game) began, which would clearly indicate that the original paid ticket had not been redeemed at that time. There should be a way to cancel the paid ticket and re-issue a new paid ticket based on information off of the receipt. If this is possible, it was not offered; no resolution was offered.Desired Settlement: I filed a claim with my bank the next morning and was given a temporary credit for this transaction. Assuming the credit from my bank is not reversed, I am not seeking any monetary compensation at this time, but reserve the right to amend my complaint if need be.

I feel that there needs to be reasonable checks and balances that can easily be set up by Quik Park to ensure this does not happen any more. Signage can be added to make sure people hold onto their tickets, the ticket machines can be fixed to actually RETURN the tickets once the parking has been paid for, and a system can be created to cancel lost or non-returned paid tickets so they can be replaced when warranted. And most importantly, the [redacted] staff can be trained to think out of the box, resolve a problem intelligently, utilize customer service skills, and understand that when a problem is brought to their attention right away a resolution should be offered.

Response:

To whom it may concern, I am writing with reference to a complaint dated June [redacted] 2015, ID #[redacted]. Thank you for writing to us regarding a customer’s experience at our parking facility. We appreciate the feedback and take great care to ensure that important matters such as this are properly managed. Unfortunately, I must point that we have several signs throughout the facility informing customers about our lost ticket procedure. There is a large sign when you enter the parking facility which states that lost tickets must pay the maximum rate which is $35.00. There is also a sign at each entry ticket dispenser with the same script. The pay stations have several messages, “Please wait for paid parking ticket”, “Lost ticket pays maximum rate” and “Remove paid ticket to exit”. Enclosed you will find pictures of the signage we have throughout the parking facilities. In the interest of maintaining a good customer relationship, we have decided to grant a one-time courtesy refund in the amount of $35.00. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Review: I have spent 2 months trying to confirm the cancellation of my parking spot and bill. I have only received 1 reply stating that my parking spot has been canceled, however I am still receiving bills (including late charges) in the mail.

I was at the [redacted] parking garageDesired Settlement: I want confirmation that I owe no money as I have cancelled the parking spot months ago.

Review: My Uncle was having surgery on January [redacted], 2016 at [redacted].

I pulled into the Quik Park Garage at approximately 5:45 AM. The gentleman asked what time I was returning. Not knowing how long the surgery and recovery would be I said I am not sure I guess around 6 PM. My Uncle was admitted for the evening and I returned to the garage at 4:00PM. The cashier was very upset upon pulling my ticket and said you were suppose to be back at 6 - 7. I told him I am sorry but that the surgery was long and they were keeping my Uncle overnight. I was driving my Aunt and Cousin back to their hotel. The man further told met that I would have to wait a very long time for the car. My Aunt and Cousin left. I told him this was not a bus man's holiday or a shopping spree but that it is a surgical procedure. I could not possibly know how long it would take. I paid for the garage at 4:08 PM. At 4:20 my ticket was still not picked up by an attendant. It was however, the only ticket in the pick up slot as no one else was in the garage. My car was finally brought up at 4:55PM. Standing there about 5 - 7 people came in to pick up their cars. This would not have made any difference in my car. This was a disgrace. If my Uncle was released and I had to wait that long for the car, I would have had the police there. How dare they. Customer Service Rep, Lisa, informed me that this is basically a nurses' garage and that she would call there. Unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I want a compliant on this business. A billing adjustment would be acceptable. I am not even sure how he charged me. I was so exhausted from the day's events. I think he overcharged me. I thought they had an early bird special but cannot confirm.

Review: I have parked at the location with reservation and fixed rate of $16. When I came after 3 hours to pick up my car attendants took 40 to retrieve my car and than charged me $42 for parking, when I complained I was told that they don't care and to call customer service. Pressed in time to make my doctors appointment I paid the fee and left. I than contacted costumer service over 2 weeks and left 7 messages with no response. I am beyond frustrated and cannot believe that they are in businessDesired Settlement: Refund of my payment

Review: I am a monthly customer of Quik Park. We receive a bill every month dated the [redacted] of each month. The bill arrives the last day of the month or the first 2 days of the next month. Payment is due by the [redacted] of the month. In essence, I am given at most 3 business days to pay the monthly bill because there is at least one weekend, sometimes two, between the [redacted] of the previous month and the [redacted] of the next month. I have been charged late monthly fees because the payment is received after the their due date of the [redacted]. How can a bill be dated the [redacted] of a month, that arrives by mail never before the [redacted], be due the [redacted] of the next month? That is 10 days for the bill to be mailed to me, delivered by the post office, for me to write a check the same day the bill arrives (which is an onerous expectation), mail the check, have the post office deliver the check, and then have someone at Quik Park open the envelope and credit my account.

All the other bills I receive (credit cards, medical, rent, utilities) give three weeks to pay from the statement date.

The monthly late fee is 10% of the total monthly rent.

What is the law-mandated amount of time that a consumer should receive to make a payment?Desired Settlement: Refund of late charges for May 2014, June 2014 and July 2014.

Change in Invoice Date and/or due date. Consumer must be given more than 10 regular (business and non-business) days to pay a bill.

Sincerely,

Review: My vehicle is incurring repeated damaged by parking garage attendants in the QuikPark Facility located at 1[redacted] in NYC. To that end, I have filed 5 accident claims in as many months. In fact, my car just came back from being repaired less than 2 weeks ago, when it was damaged again. While the business has paid to fix the car, they will not reimburse me for a rental car or time off from work to take the vehicle to the designated repair shop. I very much wish to continue parking at this location, because it is convenient to do so. Moreover, I treat the parking staff with the utmost respect and courtesy, tipping both when I pick up my car in the morning, and when I drop it off in the evening. I would expect better service and consideration from this company and its employees. I simply can't afford to continue taking time off from work and incurring rental car expense while my car is damaged again and again and again. I would deeply appreciate your prompt investigation into this matter. Respectfully[redacted]Desired Settlement: Stop damaging my vehicle. However when an accident does occur, I expect to be compensated for time away from work and for rental car expense accordingly.

Review: My Girlfriend and I park our car (Business vehicle) at the garage at [redacted] (The [redacted]'s name is [redacted]. One day when picking up the car we realized that the driver's side mirror is broken. They mentioned it was "a little off" and they tried to rig it somehow with a napkin seeing if we wouldn't notice (it seemed, as we had to bring it up). The mirror then persisted to fall off the entire mount on our ride to a family vacation in Delaware. This took place over 4 weeks ago. We have been trying to get in contact with them via phone at their ###-###-#### number and their claims number: ###-###-####. We've tried emailing them at "[redacted]" as well as the customer service email listed for monthly parking - "[redacted]". We received absolutely zero response. The only way we every spoke to anyone over there at all was calling in to the sales line and letting them know that we were calling about an unanswered claim. They transferred us to someone name[redacted] who gave me extension [redacted] to call (on the ###-###-#### number). [redacted] said she would call the Garage [redacted], get the appropriate pictures and call us back with an estimate as to what their body shop could do. It's been 4 business days and still no word back ([redacted] said she would call the next day at the latest). We had to use the car today to pick up colleagues on a business trip and since the mirror has still not been fixed we had to rent a car out of our own expense because driving without a driver's side mirror is illegal. They have still yet to contact me despite me telling them my need to go to the Revdex.com if I didn't get a response. This is very frustrating and we feel that they're almost holding our car captive at this point because of our inability to legally drive it and their resisting fixing a problem that they caused. Claim # [redacted], Silver 2014 Ford Edge, Parking Space #[redacted]Desired Settlement: We need the driver's side mirror fixed immediately at absolutely no charge or inconvenience to us.

We need to be reimbursed for the rental car we had to pay for due to their negligence and we feel it's appropriate that we are compensated 2 months of free parking based on the deplorable, unethical and illegal business practices displayed over the past 4.5 weeks.

Review: I parked my car that has a cargo carrier at QuikPark on [redacted]. I asked if my cargo carrier would be ok, and the attendant said it would be ok, just "take care of the guy". So I tip the attendant to park my car $5 and I tip $5 afterwards. However, after driving for a bit, I noticed the top of my car making strange wind noises. Then I find out my cargo carrier has a big crack and a hole on the top which was not visible after getting the car. I filed my claim on 5/**/2014 which is the date of the incident. It was not until 7/**/2014 until I received a response from their attorney that they will not honor my claim because they said they will only be responsible for claims on "the car". I asked what is their definition of the car since my cargo carrier was affixed to my car, and that there were no signs or conditions indicating what they are responsible for other than "we are not responsible for items INSIDE the car". My cargo carrier was OUTSIDE the car, and although removeable, it is a part of the outside of my car. I entrusted and paid the garage to park my vehicle in a secure and safe manner and they did not live up to their services. The retail of my cargo carrier is $495.00, in addition to the $48 fee and $10 tip, parking my car for 2 hrs in this garage cost me a total of $553.00 in damages and fees.Desired Settlement: The damage to my cargo carrier is $495.00, in addition to the $48 fee and $10 tip, a total of $553.00 in damages and fees.

Review: Garage advertises $7.60 for up to 1/2 hour. Decided to go for the deal was gone 28 minutes so I returned 2 minutes early and was online waiting to pay for service. 7 minutes passed, as people were paying for parking, when it was my turn they said I was 5 minutes late and charged me for a full hour. The price went from $7.60 to $30 when I asked to be giving the rate for half an hour they refused.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded my $30 and charged the half an hour rate of $7.60.

Business

Response:

We do apologize ;however, we will not offer a refund back to the customer. As he stated in his complaint, he arrived back at the location 28 minutes after parking. There was a line of people to pay, and this is something that is beyond our control. When a customer is on a time restraint it is their responsibility to allow enough time for unpredicted delays.

I really hope Revdex.com is a place help us under a unfair situation . Thank you so much!Desired Settlement: I need a reasonable response for these Scratch and damages , NOT a letter says Quik Park was not responsible for the incident with your vehicle and we muct deny liability.

Review: With our printed discount coupon for $24 which allowed us parking for 6 hours, we parked at [redacted] for a show at Lincoln Center. We told the attendant that we had the coupon when we dropped off the car. Lo and behold, when we went to pick up the car, the attendant claimed the computer couldn't honor the coupon and made us pay $40. When we showed him the competitor's coupon (the entrance at the garage had a "Marketing" sign stating that Quik Park would honor competitor's coupon), he said the computer didn't come up with the discounted rate on the competitor's coupon as well.Desired Settlement: In addition to the refund, Quik Park should remove their coupon from the internet. In addition, remove false advertisement 'WILL HONOR COMPETITOR'S COUPON' at the entrance of their garage.

Review: On December *, 2015 I parked my recently purchased car at this garage. The manager Angel received I parked for nearly three hours when I came to get the car back from the garage. I noticed that the front bumper of my car was scratched as well as the grills located on the bumper. I immediately spoke to the garage representative and they told me that the manager was not present to call back tomorrow to make the report. When I called the manager he told me that he needed me to come in to file the report. I supplied the manager with picture evidence as well as the car to check the damage. The process took nearly two months only to receive a letter stating that I would not compensated for the damages because the report was not filed that same night. They have cameras and resources to confirm that the event took place within their garage and refuse to continue. I did not want to waste my time or theirs filing for a complaint or report if I was not 100% sure that it occurred at the parking lot.Desired Settlement: I am only asking for them to repair or compensate me for the damages caused to my car.

Review: On June *, 2015 my wife parked our 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid in the QuikPark garage located at [redacted]. Upon arrival to pick up our vehicle we noticed there were damages on the front driver side of the vehicle. The gentleman who was working when my wife dropped off the car was no longer there when we picked up our car. We filed a claim and took photos of the vehicle. We were given a claim number ([redacted]) and told to call the claims after 5 business days. We then called on June **, 2015 and spoke with Leslie N[redacted] who asked us to send her the photos of the vehicle which we did via email. On June **, 2015 Leslie responded to the email:

We called several times after the 4 week waiting period and never spoke with Leslie and never received a phone call back. Whenever we spoke with anyone at the phone number we were given the run around such as 'the appraiser is not around' or 'Leslie will call you back" and we still never heard from her. On August **, 2015 we called Leslie again and still received no response. We then sent her an email that same day and then again on the [redacted] of August before she responded back and said:

[redacted]"

I then let Leslie know that it was unacceptable that the estimate still had not been completed since we were told a 4 week wait, which had then been an 8 week wait her response was:

"[redacted]"

I then asked for the name of her supervisor and I was given the following information: [redacted].

We have called John numerous times, left voicemails and emails and we still have not heard back.

Then magically that same day, August [redacted] we received this email from Leslie:

[redacted].

The $900 will not cover the damages that were done to our vehicle and we have not been contacted back by his employees. At this point, September *, 2015 we still have not received a phone call or an email back.Desired Settlement: We received an estimate from our bodyshop that quoted the damage at approximately $2,300 and we would like to be compensated for this. At this point, it has been 3 months since the damages were done to our vehicle and receiving a check in the correct amount should not take this long.

Review: Parking garage damaged my vehicle while they parked it for me at the [redacted] garage. The lot was over filled so they double parked it and kept the keys to move it as needed. When I came back to the car it was damaged and they tried to cover up the damage using a Sharpie marker (car is black). After submitting a formal complaint (claim # [redacted]) with the [redacted] the corporate claims department is unresponsive after 6 weeks and numerous (10+) phone calls.Desired Settlement: I have two estimates for the repairs low of $1,117.00 and the higher is $1,300.00This incident happened while in the care of the garage so I would expect them to cover the cost of repairs.

Review: Attendants damaging exterior on vehicles with rushed parking practices. pretend as if they do not know anything and do not inform you or confront you about the issue. cars parked to close to each other. they let you leave as if nothing happened and refuse to playback camera.Desired Settlement: pay for the damages your parking attendants cause. be accountable for mistakes YOU make while providing service. valet parking leaves no blame on the consumer and ALL on the valet. these people do not even let me park my own car but pretend they do not know what happened.
