As a young woman, it is generally difficult to find a someone to repair your car who isn't going to attempt to take advantage of your (assumed) lack of knowledge regarding automobilesThis is a perfect example of a branch which practices the aforementioned regularlyIn September, I brought my Subaru Legacy to the shop to have my transmission looked atThe man I spoke to found that I wasn't entirely sure of the problem and used this to persuade me to allow him to take apart my transmission, ensuring that he would be able to reassemble the part regardless of the condition afterwordsHe even mentioned a similar problem on his daughters car, he wouldn't mind helping someone around her ageAs time went on, I received a call about my transmission, which can not be re assembled in its condition with a scoffThat and a new transmission would cost upwards of 4,but he insisted that I decide immediatelyEventually with all of the lying on their end, I resorted to having my father, a man who works in the auto industry, try to decipher what was occurringAfter a long conversation, it was quickly found that non of what I was told was correct, as well as continental knowing there was recall on the part from the dealer, but failed to provide me this optionAt the end of this conversation, my father simply put "I sincerely hope that if you have daughters, no one ever treats them the way you just treated her" where he was followed with "Well I don't have any children" *Flashback to conversation Number [redacted] Following the chaos, the owner refused to release my car to the dealer, doing all he could such as lying about the fate of the car and claiming inconvenienceThe general treatment of this encounter was poor and I will never return or allow friends to return to this store

I paid for The services on my transmission and fenders to be done I’m 9/14 /2016 and since then they have not completed the service of fixing and installing my transmission and the keep giving me a date and time of when it will be done but upon showing up on those time and date the give me another time and date this has been going on for over 3 weeks and now they say it will get done when it gets done

My vehicle required engine work and was covered by warrantThe dealer we purchased our warranty through recommenced Continental Transmission owner Greg [redacted] Greg assured my husband an I that we would inquire no cost to fixing our engine problem and a rental car would be covered at no cost to usI took my car into Continental on November 15th, and picked up a rental car that evening My car was in the care of continental until December 13th when I picked my car back up an dropped back off a rentalWhen I had dropped off the rental to [redacted] on [redacted] in buffalo, they told me I was responsible for a bill of $I was completely unaware that there would be a bill an never informed until that dayGreg the owner of continental never informed us on when our car would be ready for pick upMy husband and I called once a week to check on the status of our car and received hardly any answersThe day we picked our car back up an learned of this bi

On December 20th I had my car towed to Continental Transmission for a diagnosis of a bad sound the car was making while I drive itGreg, the owner, said they weren't sure of the problem without taking the transmission out and evaluating itThe said the charge would be $for the diagnosisI agreed to the work but also informed them that depending on the quote I may get a new car insteadThey were unable to give me any kind of ballpark number without paying the $feeOne day later they call me back saying the whole transmission must be replaced and it will cost $I was appalled and let them know I'd need a few days to look at my optionsIt was a few days before Christmas but I was able to find a new car to purchaseWhen I called Continental Transmission to let them know I would not be getting the work done Greg's whole attitude changedHe was nasty to me and told me that now they're going to have to put it back together and I'd have to pay $800!! All this for a car I w

Unsatisfactory repair to my Ford Ranger, involving my rebuilt transmission

I signed a contract for a rebuilt engine for my Honda, paid a $deposit (on $5,plus tax total) and left it with Continental Transmission September 22, Delivery was promised in contract for Wednesday September 28thOn Sept29, I called and was told vehicle was ready Went and paid in full ($4,on debit, $on credit, and $1,in cash) only to be told minutes later that it wasn't ready With some difficulty, I was returned the $1,in cash, but not the other $4,I was given 9/as a date - then still not readyOn Tuesday October 4th, still waiting for my car, Continental claimed to have been sold a faulty engineOwner said probable delivery October or October The non-faulty/rebuilt engine had not even arrived earlier today (Oct12), and owner hung up the phone when I complained, suggesting I should call the company supplying their engineAlthough they are paying for the rental, I am paying for the insurance on a rented car, and I do no

Do not take your car here! I brought mine in after hitting a potholeThey gave me a long list of things they thought were wrong: bent strut, bad axle, spindle, A-armAfter having the car for days they still could not give me an estimate or a plan of actionWhen I called multiple times to check on it I was frequently put on hold until I was eventually transferred to a voicemail accountMy calls were never returnedWhen I gave up and went to pick up my car with no work done the battery had been drained (it is brand new, one week old) and the hood would no longer close properlyI took my car someplace else where they informed me the only problem was a bent rim (never mentioned by Continental)It was repaired cheaply and my car has been driving perfectly ever since

Today's date 12-12-17] a couple of months ago I stopped into continental transmission because my white 2006, land rover -lr3, vehicle had started making a noise, and didn't give the smooth ride I was accustomed toI met with the auto technician (tech), steve *** and inquired if continental transmission did repair work for land rovers? Mr*** , said yes that they were very familiar with land rovers, and pointed out a green land rover actually suspended in the air on their liftHe then explained what the auto techs were going to do for that land rover, so I felt some confidence in knowing they would know how to repair my vehicle's transmission problemI also inquired about the cost of possibly installing a new front window or repairing the seals around the window because I noticed some moisture to touch on the front passenger sideMr***, explained the window repair would be costly with the parts, and told him I had someone else I was going to use, but wanted to find ou

My transmission in my vehicle went and had them do the work. They arranged financing for me that covered half the cost of the work. They kept my vehicle in "storage" until I could come up with the money to pay for it.When I had the money to pick up the vehicle, they did not release it to me because they said a brake line blew and they sent the vehicle out for repair and that I would get it later. When I went to get the vehicle they hit me with an extra $bill that I had to pay for the damage they done when they took the transmission outI was also horrified at the condition my vehicle was in;THE HOOD LATCH WAS BROKEN AND MY VEHICLE HAD REAR END DAMAGE TO IT FROM ONE OF THEIR TRUCKS BACKING INTO IT.They did a total of $worth of damage that I have yet to recover from themI did not see the vehicle at any time during the repair as it seemed that they wanted to hide what they had done to it.They totally have no respect for other peoples property and delibertly lied to me about doing itThey can only be trusted to do two things 1) Rip you off 2) Lie about doing damage to your vehicle when they are clearly at faultIf you value your vehicle you need to take it somewhere else and not here

On I *** *** took my vehicle to Continental transmission at *** *** *** to confirm what repairs my vehicle neededOn I confirmed with the Continental staff my vehicle needed a transmission however I refused for the services due to the charges that were placed for the labor were not in my price rangeI paid the amount for the diagnostic check but refused for the recommended workI was informed by the staff that on my vehicle was going to be ready for me to pick up my vehicle from the shopUntil this day my vehicle is not ready for me to pick up although I have been told by their staff that my vehicle will be ready by the end of the business day everyday

My car has been in their shop for over months for a clutch replacementIt took them months to tell me what parts I needed and when thry finally did they told me wrong imformation, which led to me having to order another clutch and flywheel kit costing me thousands of dollars Everytime I ask when the job will be completed the owner greg tells me "this weekend" or "just a few more days"

I consulted with Continental last year around October about my transmission problemI had to borrow from this one and that one to get funds together because none of my close family and friends would pass for financing, but they tried of usNow before my year date, the van had broke down times because of transmission issuesI only want my transmission fixed as its suppose to be as I paid forMy warranty is still goodThey said they cant find me or any proof of my vehicle ever being serviced thereI literally am in the middle of a move, and I cant pull up my own proofThey claim they cant find anything in their system? Never have I had such horrible buisness, and I am furious about this and need to get this resolved immediately! Please help me

I drove my vehicle into Continental Transmission on 2/21/because the gears didn't seem to be shifting properlyMy truck was put on a machine which assessed the issues, and when I asked how much it would cost to fix I was told that the transmission would need to be removed and checked (for a fee of $249.95, which is the only work I signed off on) in order to find outAt this time it was not explained to me that once the transmission was taken out of the vehicle that I would need to pay another fee to have the transmission put back together and put back into the vehicle if I chose not to have them do the repairs for whatever reasonMy transmission was removed and checked and I was quoted a price of $I explained to the guy that was more than I paid for the vehicle and did not have that type of money to put in to repairsI asked him to put the transmission back, but was offered a financing option to which I did not qualifyLater on that day I spoke with the guy again who lowe

I took my car there for a simple it wouldn't go in reverse All of a sudden, he took the transmission totally apart and is now telling me that the tranmission is shot and that I owe Originally he told me that it was only a cellinoid (sp?) problem and that it was only cellinoid

sept 2017, they picked my truck up for transmission problems, they gave it back days later even worsei took it back and they said they had to order a few partsthey got the parts back and they said they didn't fitso they reordered them only to have the same problemthey then said that they would fabricate the parts themselvesthat didn't workso they then said they ordered the parts from a new vendor, they never received the parts so I demanded a refund and the manager guaranteed that the vehicle would be completed the next day close of businessthe vehicle was not ready because they said the spacing was not correct, and they recommended that they would call me when the car was completeit's now January 10, still no vehicleI have argued until it became personal with these people, they are bent on not refunding my money, though out this period, they never called me to let me know anything, I called them, the never apologized for anything, just excusestoday Jan
