Rallye BMW Reviews (27)

Review: I am filing a dispute against my end of lease AutoVIN Vehicle report, in which I was charged for damages which were incurred before leasing my car and without my knowledge. I was also charged for the service light being on, which was notifying me that the car needed to be serviced for a 40,000 mile inspection (covered under warranty). When the car was returned to Rallye BMW, the car had 39,681` miles on it.

I am being charged $400.00 for damages which incurrred prior to my leasing the vehicle and without my knowledge AND

I am being charged $250.00 for "Mechanical Issues" because service light which was on prompting me to bring my car in for a 40,000 mile warranty covered service, even though I returned the car with only 39,681 miles on it.

>Details on the history of the dispute:

> When my lease began with my 2011 328xi, it already had 10,000 miles on it. I was told the car had been a loaner car previously.

> I have never been in any type of accident with this car where the front bumper or back bumper was involved.

> When my AutoVin vehicle report was performed, the paint on the front bumper was cracking/chipping. The person who performed the inspection said that the car had definitely been in an accident. You could tell that body work had been done and the chipping paint was due to a bad paint job. When the woman looked under the hood, she said she was able to confirm that the car had once been in an accident and received body work in a body shop to fix the damages.

>

> I had NO idea that the car had ever been in an accident and according to BMW financial services, a history report does not include an accident. Now, if I was never in an accident and there is no history report of an accident, then why is the person who performed the inspection saying the car was in an accident? Someone clearly tried to cover something up. I should absolutely not have to pay for someone else's accident. I have no problem paying for normal wear and tear. There is a $75 charge for carpet stains and $100 for scuffs. I will pay that. But I am NOT paying for damages that I did not incur or even know about at the time of purchase.

Additionally, I have been charged $250 for "Mechanical Issues" which was due to the maintenance light being on. The maintenance light was on because at 40,000 miles the car was due for a service. My vehicle inspection was on August **, 2013. My car was due to be returned on September *, 2013 (two days later). I called Rallye and asked if I should bring my car in for service before returning it on September [redacted] to avoid a charge and I was told that I would not be charged because the 40,000 mile service was cover red under warranty. If I had known I was going to be charged $250, I would have gladly brought the car in for a service, but I was told it was not necessary and I would not be charged for something that was covered by a warranty. If this is service is covered under warranty, AND it was returned with less than 40,000 miles on it, then why I am being charged for it?

Immediately after the vehicle report was conducted, I called Rallye BMW and spoke to [redacted]. who told me that we would "take care of it", however, when I received my bill from BMW Financial a week later, the charges remained.

When I called [redacted]., he told me that he did not know who I was, he never agreed to take care of anything and he also claimed to have never called ed me to discuss the dispute even though I have a itemized bill from Verizon showing his phone call to me. [redacted] agreed to look into the matter for me and I have an email chain in which [redacted] tells me how he has called BMW financial services and is taking care of it. Interestingly, when I contact BMW financial, they told me that they had never received a phone call or email from [redacted] or anyone at Rallye regarding my account. Since this incident, [redacted] has ignored all of my emails and phone calls. Since he is the [redacted] at Rallye, I have no one else to contact to resolve this. For this reason, I have contacted the Revdex.com.

>Desired Settlement: I am currently being charged by BMW Financial Services $400.00 for damages which incurred prior to my leasing the vehicle and without my knowledge AND

I am currently being charged $250.00 for a service light which was on prompting me to bring my car in for a 40,000 mile warranty covered service, even though I returned the car with only 39,681 miles on it.

My desired outcome is to have these two charges dropped by BMW Financial Services and have my year end lease bill revised so that these charges are no longer on the bill.

BMW Sales Manager Richard D[redacted] has spoken to [redacted] and a refund for the balance of the road hazard contract has been processed and he will receive the check within 7 business days of today.

Review: Brought in to fix a recall. Told recall would not be covered if that were the problem.

Then told, I owed $190 for 1 hour diagonistics and that they couldn't find the problem. Dealer then informed me that it would cost an additional $150 per hour to determine the problem. When I asked for "worst case" on how many hours to find the problem, I was informed "they have no idea." So in essence the dealer wanted me to give them a blank check! No one would do that ... so I picked up the vehicle and had it repaired by a reputable BMW repair shop.Desired Settlement: $190 credit from debit card payment

Business

Response:

I contacted [redacted] and reviewed the details of his concern and the service visit. He explained he was concerned as we were unable to give him any defined maximum time it could take to diagnose the problem of why his vehicle would not start. I explained like any other diagnosis we could not finitely give him a number of hours but I do agree it would be difficult for him to go in blind not knowing what his potential cost were. I agreed that I think it would have been reasonable for the service advisor to consult with the technician and foreman and come up with a maximum game plan for the diagnosis. [redacted] also stated he was upset that we stated if we found that the part that was replaced under the recall in March of 2013 had failed it would not be covered again. I explained that recall or not, BMW warranties replacement components for 2 years and if that part failed it would not fall under any BMW warranty. I did also explain that if the recall part was the problem, I would have considered going to BMW to see if they would allow us to replace it as a good will gesture. I asked if [redacted] would please share with me the information regarding the repair he had done to the vehicle when it left us. He explained it was at a local repair facility and he was awaiting their determination but that he would contact me back with that information for learning purposes for me.Our discussion was both pleasant and productive. We processed a credit to his "debit card" in the full amount he paid us. Thank you Larry P[redacted]Rallye BMWService and Parts Director

Review: I recently purchased a vehicle from rallye BMW which had extensive paint damage. Ralle vowed to take care of the damage and the kept to their vows. but in the process they gave me a loaner car while the car I was purchasing was being painted. when I picked up the loaner car they took pictures of the car to make sure no damages were on it. when I returned the loaner car there was no damage brought to my attention and no pictures were taken. couple of days after I get a call from rallye saying there was damage on the front bumper of the vehicle and sent me pictures of a car with damage which I did not incur while the vehicle was in my possession. even though I believe the damage was not done on my part, I was still willing to take care of it but after a lot of back and forth with a [redacted] there and a [redacted] named [redacted] in their collisions department, they sent me a invoice of $1,322.51 which is OUTRAGEOUS! the total cost of the parts on this invoice equal $200 and the rest they want to charge in labor? this is mind blowing. so I offered to take it to another dealership, however they did not want to cooperate with my suggestion or at the very least reduce the price. I understand the economy is bad but it is a fact that they are inflating the price to fix a minor scratch. this is unjustifiable and needs immediate attention to prevent further incidents with other consumers.Desired Settlement: I shouldn't have to pay for something that wasn't done by me. no issues were brought to my attention when I returned the loaner vehicle.

Review: We unfortunately bought a car fro m this dealership with a bent rim. They denied any fault so we had to fix, then they started emailing us constantly with marketing. Like we would ever do business with them again. I have repeatedly requested to be removed from any solicitations. Please assist in having this sub par dealership from contacting us anymore.Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me.

Business

Response:

We have removed the customer from our in house marketing list and informed all external marketing firms to remove them from their lists. The vehicle was purchased February 2012 as a pre owned vehicle with over 31,000 miles.

Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[redacted], apparently Rallye ([redacted]) didn't do as stated and remove

me. I got another junk mail from them today. I realize junk is what

they are in the business of selling. But we would just prefer they

quite contacting us. Thanks and please advise.

Good morning [redacted],

I apologize that you have received another piece of correspondence from us. I am not sure if one of the vendors we are utilizing is not following our instruction or if a "Mailer" had already been processed and dispatched prior to the time I put in our request to all our vendors to cease sending your residence any mail.

If you would be kind enough to email me a photo of the mail piece or at least explain what the offer is I will be happy to tighten up on our vendor.

Respectfully,

Review: Bought a Certified BMW from Rallye. Did not get one. They delivered a vehicle to my home [600 miles away from there dealership] without a Certified Inspection report that is mandatory with such purchase from BMW. The sales people do not call you back. I have had this vehicle since Dec. [redacted] 2012. I've talked to my sales person once and a few e-mails. He got fired in April of 2013. The Used car Manager and the VP of sales have talked to me in a fwew sentences each about 4 times. This only happened with BMW customer service calling them to call me back and My Attorney as well calling them [[redacted] and [redacted]]. I have and interior and exterior finish challenge that I have tried to rectify without any solution. They will not even call me back so I can make an appt. to bring the car to them. I'm getting the dealership runaround.Desired Settlement: Give me a Certified vehicle that meets the requirements of Certified set forth by BMW. And pay me back for the additional expense I'm going to incur to bring the vehicle to them to see it. And any additional expenses that may occur during process. I also put down $2000 towards this vehicle. I just want what I purchased. I feel I was baited and switched.
