Review: On December 15, 2015, I was using my hair dryer (Remington model TIStudio Pearl Ceramic Professional AC hair dryer AC-2015B) when I noticed a burning smell. I pulled it away from my head to see a glow coming from the inside then it shot fire out of the barrel. I immediately turned it off & unplugged it.

Because the fill-out form on the Internet was down, I sent Remington an email to [email protected] telling them about the fire and asking for a replacement hair dryer. When I didn't hear anything, not even a standard notification email stating they received my email, I wrote them again forwarding the first email. That was on Decemeber 18, 2015.Desired Settlement: A replacement hair dryer of equal value.

Review: Spectracide Weed Stop Plus Crabgrass Killer, UPC [redacted]. The front of the bottle advertises that visible results occur within 8 hours. When no visible results occurred, I e-mailed the company. This is the response I received from them: "Thank you for contacting United Industries.

Depending on the stage of the weed growth; it can take either 8 hours or up to 2-4 days for yellowing and wilting to occur and a complete kill can take as long as 30 days. We do not recommend to reapply the product any sooner than this 30 day period.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-800-332-5553." Clearly, this is not what was listed on the front of the bottle. Finally, after the bottle is purchased, their is an area to peel off to read directions. This area is not accessible prior to purchase. It states a similar response on this area of the bottle. So basically, the company shouldn't list visible results in 8 hours on the front of the bottle if it isn't true in all cases. I would have never purchased the product if this was the case.Desired Settlement: Refund

As Ms. [redacted] mentioned, much of the directions for use and more specific use tips aren't listed on the front of the label, but rather in the included label and pamphlet attached to the back of the product. Spectrum Brands is absolutely willing to honor the satisfaction guarantee for our product and is refunding Ms. [redacted] the purchase price requested of $15.00.

Review: This Black and Decker - The Classic Iron has a hole on top which lets you fill water so that you can steam iron your clothes; however, the super hot boiling water squirted out from the hole while I was ironing.

It happened while the iron was in the upright position. This is definitely a defective product design and very dangerous for anyone to use. So, the super hot water squirted out and burned my right hand resulting in 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my hand. I suffered great pain and was unable to use my right hand; and thus, I was unable to go to work.

It causes me great pain and suffering and financial loss by being unable to work. I would like to be compensated for this properly, considering my physical suffering and financial loss.

Please respond to me accordingly.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for lost wages and for physical sufferings due to what happened (as described above).

We contacted Ms. [redacted] in good faith with every expectation to resolve her complaint. An initial refund was ordered to compensate her for the product, and a claim was set up to evaluate her request for any additional compensation. As part of the claim process and per normal procedure, the product was requested so that we could examine it in our lab. Ms. [redacted] was initially cooperative with our efforts to address her complaint. However, as of this morning Ms. [redacted] reported that she will not be cooperating with our efforts any longer and will be contacting an attorney. We feel that we've put our best efforts towards resolving this matter in a mutually agreeable manner, and it is unfortunate we've arrived at this point. We continue to believe we can work through this matter without the need for litigation should Ms. [redacted] choose to do so.

Review: I purchased a Remington XR1330 hyper series shaver in the end of June for 150 dollars. The shaver kept shutting off and wasn't shaving properly so I sent it back as part of the 60 day money back guarantee. I mailed it via US Mail to the following address:

I sent a note in the unit that I wanted a replacement unit as mine was defective. I called several times in July only to be hung up upon or told that there was no file for me. The story changed each time. Very disappointed. I am out of 150 dollars and my shaver.Desired Settlement: I would like Remington to stand behind their product and ship me a brand new Remington Hyper Series XR1330 Rotary Shaver asap.

Review: purchased 12 cup coffee pot 4 months ago for $100 and doesn't perk or keep coffee hot. Purchased at Boscov's who refuses to do anything to help

bought in Aug 2013, worked well for about 2 months. went to Boscov's to get another or a refund and was told I had to contact maker. so I emailed 3 times and after telling them I would contact Revdex.com they sent email telling me I had wrong department, but never offered info on anything to continue for help.nHad to go get a cheap pot to replace it, I would like another pot or a $100 + tax refund!Desired Settlement: I would like another 12 cup farberware pot or a total refund

Ray-o-Vac D cell batteries are horrible. They leak while still in the package, long before their expiration date.
This has happened to me twice. The first time I complained and they sent me replacements. This time I am just going to throw them out as I'm sure the next batch will be no better.
It is April 20, 2014 and my current batch of leaking batteries is marked Dec 2017. They have been stored in a cool closet the entire time we've had them.
