I received phone calls from the company during my business hoursI am the owner of a licensed day care and we often do gain lesson plans via subscriptionThe staff was polite during the calls even during our busy mornings I was told they would be sending details about the books by post mailI did receive the information via post, realized this was not lesson plans for the pre k kidsThis information was a break down of pre selected magazines typical to family interest or supermarket linesNo books or magazines were sent at this timeThey call again to verify my information and I asked them to please cancel the order as it is not something actually relevant to my businessThey informed me that there is no way to cancel a subscription- to magazines (not books) The attitude turned and they just repeat their position that they are not able to cancel subscription to which I agreedI have not agreed to accept any of the magazines listed on the paperI do not want to participa

This company is a scamThey sent me a bill saying I had a $bill with them but cold not provide me with a copy of a bill or a signed contractI was very confused and afraid this was a scam company as I dont recall signing up for there servicesI repeatedly asked them to send me a copy of any contract I had signed and they could not provide itNow I have them saying they are sending me to collectionsI had a collection agency call me and asked me if I wanted to pay for $some balance with them but they could still could not provide me with any proof or documentationThe gentlemen on the phone that called me from the "collection" agency also got agitated when I asked him for documentation and hung up on meI called back and the number was disconnectedThis does not sound like an honest business to mesomething needs to be done to stop them

you take money from my bank every month but I am getting no magazines please stop taking my money

Ms [redacted] continues to stick with her skewed version of how her order was processed and seems to have a select memory of how things transpired All Ms [redacted] needed to do was ask Read America to replay any of her calls so she could refresh her memory to what was ACTUALLY said We will cancel Ms [redacted] order do to her diminished memory capacity Again, please except our apologies for this matter "unnecessarily" finding its way to your busy and respected desks Read America, Inc [redacted] V.P C.O.O

Upon working at a daycare, I thought this sounded like a good idea to get some magazines for the children When they call, they make it sound like you will be getting a great deal I had tried to cancel but was unable toI have paid the amount in full and yet received another bill saying I still owed money They will not receive anything from me after this pointThis business is nothing but a scam

[redacted] They called me and I thought it sounded too good to be true I told them I'd think about it then googled them for reviews I'm glad I found thisThe response from this one made me ***Goes to show they aren't the good respectable business they try to say they areHats off to [redacted] Bet he st his pants from that response

Dear Revdex.com, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention We here at Read America strive to eliminate any such comments That is why we go over each new account with each new customer times and once again after customer receives paper work, at which time we follow up with a final "verification" call We go over every detail and ask for "final" commitment from customer that all payments will be made And this is exactly what was done with this account It's also the reason we ask for permission to Record the final call with customers permission We hope that [redacted] , will work with collections and somehow come to a settlement By the way, we attempted to make several different payment arrangements with [redacted] to help out, which resulted in being hung up on

Dear Revdex.com, please accept my sincere apologies for this matter finding it's way to your respected offices As you are aware, we here at Read America, Incdo everything in our power to prevent scenarios like this from happening When I personally spoke with our clients husband, Joe (9:00am), he had no interest in reviewing the recorded verification that we have on file or he would most certainly understand that Mrs [redacted] committed FULLY to this order As you also know, Read America asks for permission to record the final verification call to make sure that all is as agreedWe do this for every client It's actually for the protection of our clients We are committed to clients by pre paying the publishers for their order, which is also explained.Read America never implies "Books" These are magazines and we refer to them as such Mrs [redacted] has the money part "almost" correct What she fails to mention in her complaint is the fact that her service is for months but payments are for only months Our clients pay nothing the 2nd half of their month service because its P.I.Fin the 1st months During the final verification call Mrs [redacted] even changed a few of her selections? Mr [redacted] obviously wants this stopped but his wife ordered it We spoke with her on then called Mrs [redacted] back same day to confirm orderThen on we contacted Mrs [redacted] again to make sure that all was correct on her copy of order that she had received from the U.S.P.S All was as agreed We thanked Mrs [redacted] for the order and for her permission to allow recording of verification I'm sorry if Mrs [redacted] thought our folks at Read America were rude That doesn't sound right and I will certainly be following up on that I do know that Mr [redacted] was not too understanding when I spoke with him and I had to cut the call short We have removed Mrs [redacted] from auto charges to her credit card She will receive old fashioned paper bills from here outBottom Line When we ask a new client if they want our service THREE separate TIMES and they say yes Each Time, then it's time to stop asking and enter the order with the publishers How many times should we ask if they want the service? timestimes, times I'll be watching for the ***'s replyPlease except our sincere apologies again for this matter finding its way to your respected deskSincerely [redacted] Read America, Inc

Dear Revdex.com please accept our sincere apologies for this matter finding its way to your respected officeIt takes more then answering your daycare's telephone for you to place an order with Read America We are sending [redacted] publications, not We initially spoke with [redacted] on We placed a follow up confirmation call approximately minutes later to make sure all was correct After sending paper work out to [redacted] we followed up with a final "verification" call on As with all new Read America clients, we asked for and received permission to record the verification call At that time we reviewed all details of the new order with [redacted] and all was correct and agreeable We then thanked [redacted] for her new order and for her permission to have "recorded" the verification Read America entered and Pre-Paid the publishers for the new account just as agreed with [redacted] [redacted] gave Read America her husbands name and phone number as a back up numberAfter having trouble reaching [redacted] regarding her account, we started leaving messages with the other phone number she gave us [redacted] had her Attorney send us a letter and we responded as we are responding now It's one thing when a client sincerely is having hardships and request's that we work together with them But when a client takes the path of [redacted] 's we have to stand up for what is right for Read America and it's employee's and family's.Once again, Read America did exactly what it promised to do and we only expect our clients to do the same, as would any other company or corporation.Sincerely [redacted] Read America, Inc

I run an at home daycareRead America contacted me about receiving educational materials for children, telling me it would only cost $a weekThey continued to call me trying to get me to confirm my order and I was finally able to speak with them while being very busy and rushedI was lead to believe that I would be receiving materials on the same day I made payment to my postal worker, instead we received a list of magazines we would be receivingThe majority of the magazines was a weekly tabloid magazine that I had no interest in and did not wantMy husband then checked the Revdex.com and saw all the negative reviews that involved very similar issuesWhen he called, he was told that most of the complaints on here were about a different Read America in Florida, when he explained that the complaints he was reading were similar to what we were dealing with, the woman he spoke with dismissed him and told him there was nothing that could be done to cancel the order This website sho

I was unaware that cancelling this order at anytime was not an option Since my order has been suspended and I didn't receive any product, I DO NOT wish to be involved with Read America in the future This should be final with no further payment forthcomingEvery business allows for cancellations if the product, sight unseen, fails to fulfill the expected need I contacted Read American on several occasions to cancel the product or subscription, but each time other options were given, like prolonging payments options and stressing the fact that due to an outside party being involved I could not cancel I was never informed that Read American would per-pay another party then charge me to pay them back I was only aware of this after I tried to cancel Again I do not want the subscription and I stand firm In business everyone has a right to change their mind and I exercised that right Thanking you in advance for your assistance in this matter, I remainSincerely, Scheerita ***

Our long time customer service rep [redacted] , has been working with and assisting [redacted] for years, literally! I challenge anyone to find a c.s.rthat has had the patience and that has bent over backwards to help a client with her accounts [redacted] has more then account with Read America, IncWe have been very active on these accounts, following up on service, doing change of magazines, per customer request etcetc We are very sorry if something has changed in [redacted] world but we need to insist that our customers pay their bills as agreed [redacted] could continue working with [redacted] but she has abrubtly stopped communicating with us I'm sure that we can find a way to help [redacted] continue to honor her obligation to Read America just as Read America has honored our obligation with [redacted] Regards [redacted] V.P.Read America, Inc[redacted]

My business signed up for what we thought was a monthly service that would send children's books that included activities to our childrenAfter the first few months after signing up we received a bill but had not yet received any booksAfter filing an initial complaint with the Revdex.com when then received a call informing us that it takes over 90days to receive our first set of booksAfter we were informed of this when then finally received magazines, later to find out that our service was for magazines not actual children's booksAfter a few more months the magazines stop but we were still responsible for payment, I made a payment with my checking account at which they went into times unauthorizedI then requested to cancel the serviceI was then told that because Read America made a commitment to the magazine company's that if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay over $to cancelI am very dissatisfied with their companyMy business is a small business on a fixed incom

Dear Revdex.com, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention We have reached out numerous times to Ms [redacted] , when someone answers the phone and we identify ourselves, they hang up We have worked with Ms [redacted] through out her time with Read America and apparently we cannot satisfy her She claims no knowledge that these were magazines, however listening to her verification call in 2016, we mentioned magazines numerous times and Ms [redacted] even made some "Magazine" changes However after trying to settle or make everything right after many attempts we will cancel this order and Ms [redacted] will not be liable for any future paymentsWe apologize for this matter finding its way to your respected officeScott G [redacted] Read America Inc

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I AM RESPONDING IN CAPITAL LETTERS BECAUSE I AM FURIOUS I AM THE OWNER OF A CHILDCARE LEARNING CENTER I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A LADY THAT TOLD ME THEY WOULD BE SENDING ME BOOKS FOR MY SCHOOL AND I WOULD BE BILLED $EVERY MONTHSI SOON FOUND OUT THAT THESE WERE NOT BOOKS AT ALL THEY WERE MAGAZINES AND NOT AGE APROPRIATE FOR THE CHILDREN IN MY SCHOOLAT THE TIME OF THE CALL SHE ASSURED ME THAT THE BOOKS WOULD BE APPROPRIEATE WHEN I TALKED TO HER AND TOLD HER I WANTED TO CANCEL SHE THREATEN MESO I PAID AN AMOUT OF $DOLLARS AND SOME CHANGEI ONLY DID THIS BECAUSE OF THE THREAT AND SHE ASSURED ME THAT SHE WOULD SEND OTHER BOOKS THAT WOULD FIT THE NEED OF MY CENTER I RECEIVED A LETTER STATING IT WOULD TAKE DAYS TO RECEIVE THESE BOOKS HOWEVER I STILL NEEDED TO PAYI TOLD HER ONCE AGAIN I WANTED TO CANCELI HAVE RECEIVED ALL OF MAGAZINES AND NO BOOKSI THINK THIS IS A SCAM AND I WANT OUT OF THISI FEEL LIKE I WAS LIED TOTHE LAD
