DO NOT PURCHASE!
Worst customer service experience of my life! Company sold me an engine that does not work...and then tried to charge me $500 to ship it back...their customer service reps are horrible and it's taken them 2 months to resolve this only to find that they won't refund me my whole money...had I known this in the beginning I would have never purchased from them do not trust them at all!

I bought a transmission from RTS that was no good...When I asked for a refund they tagged on processing fee of 250.00...we paid 958.00 for the transmission...I got back 708.00...the problem I have is the processing fee doesn't even apply to us...we didn't cancel our order or anything...RTS is not fair to the customer...I think this fee is something that they use to scam you out of more money...they did it to us..they will do it to you also...I contacted the FTC and RTS is being invested for bad business practices...RTS still owes money to us in the amount of 250.00...even though we got a refund...and they tagged a fee that we knew nothing about...they still kept $250.00 of our money...the transmission was shipped free...the transmission was junk...we should have gotten all of our money back..$958.00...Now it's costing us more than $2000.00 to have our original transmission rebuilt...If RTS would have shipped us a good transmission as it was stated to us ...RTS told us that the transmission had come out of a vehicle that only had 72,000 miles on it..this why we ordered it...we needed that transmission...when we got it and had it installed it cost us $400.00 to do that...the transmission was a piece of junk, it was stuck in 2nd gear and it had reverse...my problem is this processing fee they charged us. We were told that we could keep the transmission and junk it out...so we did...Now Irene there at RTS said if I sent the transmission back I would get a full refund...by the way the transmission didn't even have a transmission screen on it,we had to pay for that too..When I asked for the complete refund..this where the problem of the processing fee came in...this the problem I have..Irene admitted that we were not informed of this $250.00 auto processing fee..but charged us anyway...so instead of getting our money back, we only got a portion of it...This why I contacted the FTC...RTS practices bad business...scamming people and getting by with it...Robbing people without a gun...If we all work together...the American people...we can shut this place down...A legit business will do you right...RTS is not legit...their business is fake..these are a bunch people that call themselves a business just to steal and scam your money...STAY AWAY FROM RTS...READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THEM...YOU WILL BE SORRY THAT YOU PURCHASED ANYTHING FROM THEM..I WISHED I NEVER SEEN THEM...BUNCH OF THIEVES...

You still owe us $250.00 for the remainder of the amount of 958.00...your warranty disclaimer states fee for cancelation of purchases before shipping or after shipment has been placed...we didn't do anything like that, Irene even told me that an employee failed to inform me of this fee of 250.00...I have reported RTS to the FTC...I don't think this fee ever existed, someone thought it up to steal more money from their customers...You will be hearing from them..This matter is not resolved until I am satisfied..

My husband and I purchased an automatic transmission from Ready To Start Auto Parts..cost us 958.00...We had it installed on our truck...cost us $400.00 to find out it was no good, all the transmission had was 2nd and reverse...I called them and they wanted the mechanic shop to send them a document showing it was no good...then I was told we could keep the transmission...when I called them again to request a refund they wanted to send me a replacement transmission...No...I want a refund...I didn't get my full refund amount back...they kept $250.00 says it is for a Auto processing fee...scammers they need to shut down...American people...wake up...stop buying from this company...all they sell is JUNK..we are having our original transmission rebuilt...if these people were legit we wouldn't be having this problem...A transmission that costs us $958.00 is costing us more now because of installation and maintenance and uninstalling then reinstalling our rebuilt transmission when we get it back next week...the transmission we got from Ready To Start Auto Parts is still in our truck,our truck can't be driven because the transmission is stuck in 2nd gear..when we get our other transmission back from the specialist...this Ready to start transmission will be junked...the lady told me that I could get $300.00 for this transmission...no,I will be lucky to get $20.00 for it at a junk yard...The AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE THAT READY TO START AUTO PARTS ARE ROBBING YOU WITHOUT A GUN...THEY WILL SEND YOU JUNK AND TAKE YOUR MONEY...THEY CALL THEMSELVES A COMPANY...YOU MUST DO RIGHT TO PEOPLE...PEOPLE ARE DEPENDING ON THE PRODUCTS THAT YOU SELL ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AS YOU ARE LEADING THE PEOPLE TO BELIEVE..IF YOU CAN'T BE LEGIT THEN THAT MAKES YOU A THEIF ...

I just bought an engine from RTS, it's absolutely horrible, the customer service was horrible and the engine has so many broken, missing, and rusted out parts I'm having to purchase parts prior to installing, a very costly mistake dealing with rts

After receiving the engine and paying to have all the broken, missing, and rusted parts replaced, got it all done and installed only to find out the there is a hole in the block where they took of the manifold, one of the bolts were broken off and left in it, another they stripped and bore a hole in it, as you can see in the pictures we cleaned up and changed all the crap they sold me

Already leaking oil the more I look at it the more I find stuff I'll need to replace

Really, wait until you get it...you will sing a different tune...trust me,I just dealt with this company..I too ordered a transmission...it was no good...didn't even have a screen on it...I had to buy that to..Ready To Start Auto Parts said that it came out of a vehicle that only had 72,000 miles on it...the transmission is still in our truck and can't be driven because it is stuck in 2nd gear..that is all the gears this transmission has in it ...well it reverse also...good luck on getting your full refund amount back...they will add an auto processing fee to that and scam you out of your money..
Here is an example...we paid $958.00 for a replacement transmission for our truck..we only got back $708.00..they kept $250.00 for an automatic processing fee..our transmission was free shipping...so,did we pay for shipping that was supposed to have been free?

I order transmission paid $1334.00 and I received a broken transmission when I call
They telling me we need a statement and video to prove the transmission is not working I sand them and then they are telling me truck will be there to pc up I still wait for there truck to come nothing yet there respond is after we receive transmission back then we will tell you how we get to resolve this problem my truck still in the lift this is a business I m losing money weighing for them to pc up a transmission
All I can say stay way from those guys they are criminals I’m surprised how they let them operate this way.

Shipped me a defective engine
I ordered a 5.4L Triton V8 motor that supposed to of only had 72,500 miles on it. It arrived in 2 weeks. My mechanic took 3 1/2 weeks to get it installed due to pandemic and help issues. Once installed they noticed a lot of slop in the timing chain. Had to put new timing chain on it. Once it was taken on a test drive it was blowing white smoke and getting oil in my coolant reservoir. Turned out to have a blown head gasket and defective oil cooler. Talked to multiple mechanics and told that this engine is garbage and there was no way it had less than 80,000 miles on it. Called RTS and was told warranty was expired after 30 days. So basically It cost me $1350.00 for the engine that should have been scrapped and another $1900 in labor. Have $3250.00 spent and still no drivable truck. This company is a fraud. Their warranty is so short that you are screwed from the time you purchase their parts. They wont do anything but take your money and ship you defective equipment. Do not ever buy from this company unless you want to get taken for your hard earned money.

I ordered a transmission on 07.30.2021 the part came two weeks later things were odd from the beginning I ordered a transmission for a 2011 Chevy impala but I was sent a transmission for a pick up truck . I called the company they said why didn't you keep the transmission meaning accept the delivery of the wrong transmission. I said because it's not for my car . So they then sent me the right transmission but it was damaged. I called immediately to let them know and I was given a call from a Mr. Joey I was told by the transmission shop that it would cost about $125 to repair it. I told this to Mr. Joey . Mr. Joey then calls me at least 4 times a week about the damage part and truth is to me that's very professional it means to me that this is a company that stands by there stuff. I speak with Mr.Joey letting him know I won't have any information until the transmission shop finishes installation. I get a call from the transmission shop stating the transmission is bad it goes in reverse and not drive . It costed me $615 to install this broken transmission I have 10kids with no money to waste . I call Mr. Joey who is the manager I was told . I'm completely frustrated at this time but to me all he was trying to do was help me at the time . Mr Joey said he wants to get the transmission out of the car and send it back and he can send me another transmission. I asked Mr. Joey what if you send me another bad transmission? He couldn't answer. I don't have money like this to waste so I asked for a refund. He said ok let me know when the transmission is out of the car . He never told me I had 15 days to do so but even if he did I don't own the transmission shop that has to take the part out of the car. I called A few times just to make sure I had time I was told I was going to get a call back from Mr.Joey that never happened . I was told how long do I have I was told by a representative of that company that I had 90days to get my money back and to send it back and that also was the warranty. So I was at ease at this point because I stayed on the transmission shop everyday begging please remove the transmission so I can send it back but the owner stated that he already done my car that he can't put my car In front others so it took the transmission shop about 24days to get back to my car. The transmission is out I called Mr. Joey . I have never been so disrespected and humiliated in my life . I paid $1000 for a used transmission. The part came in the mail I recognized it was damaged. Called the seller .Mr Joey now tells me I had 15 days to send them back there bad transmission I was livid because the Mechanic couldn't remove there transmission until today which is almost 30 days out and now they won't give me my money back because it's outside those 15 days . I then said well there's a 90 day warranty on the bad transmission. I would like another one or get this one rebuilt. Because I'm only at 30days or a little less . The manager then tells me that because I failed to keep them in the loop my warranty is void ... I told Mr Joey that all there calls are recorded I never stopped calling that he wasn't returning my calls . Mr Joey then goes on to say that I said he can keep my $1000 and that I wanted to keep the bad transmission. I told MrJoey does that make any sense. To go back to your recorded lines and prove I said anything so blasphemous. Mr. Joey then tells me Why didn't you send my transmission back you aren't going to send my transmission back when you want to . I said Mr. Joey you sound ridiculous right now sir . The car is at a transmission shop I don't know how to install or remove a transmission. I can only send you the part when they remove it . Mr Joey then goes to say im not asking you to make it rain ! Mr . Joey that's exactly what you are asking me to do . You are telling a man with no tools to take a transmission out of a car. MrJoey then tells me that because the transmission shop wouldn't take my transmission out and jump the line for him isn't a excuse. This is a man of leadership. Where the chief goes the Indians will follow. Meaning if this company is corrupted up high then what is happening at the lower levels? Don't buy from this place please I beg you save your self litigation.

Don't ever by from them
Both an engine, asked for picture never received them I wanted to see what I was buying they assured me that they would send it, before sending, next thing you know the engine is here, rusted out in terrible condition, my mechanic calls them and tell them that he can't install that engine that going to make his business bad, by installing junk. So the same day I call them and tell them that the engine no good, two months later they offered me back 280 out of 1100 DON'T EVER BUY S[censored] FROM THESE PEOPLE EVEN IF A BAG OF CHICKEN S[censored].

That one will be bad also this company sells junk and I will be very surprised if the second one is in good shape...I just dealt with Irene..this company is a joke..they lure you in with their name and advertising and then steal your money...all I can say is Good Luck

For my transmission from them no warranty
I contacted this company and paid $793.99 for a used transmission. The money changed hands on 6/24/2020 through my credit card . They contacted K and K Salvage in Texas for the transmission. It was sent to my transmission service staff Interstate in Aston , Pa . Other parts were needed before job completed in November . Their bill was $2100.
Upon receipt of my truck I found the transmission is slipping . Interstate Automotive and Electronics does not open the transmission to adjust the bands, Ready to Start in Mass states they have a 15 day warranty from date of delivery and installation was not done in timely manner. K and K will honor 90 day warranty but the work was completed after 90 days . I am negotiating with K and K . Wish me luck, I will never but from Ready to Start again. I really feel they are responsible and need to work this out for me.

Avoid this place at all costs!!
Today I spoke with a gentleman named Derrick,I was quoted a price on a 2010 *** transmission for 3200 I asked to get it lowered he said that’s the lowest he can go,I told him I need to inform the person working on my car and see if I can get him to lower the price. When I call Derek back he never answered the phone and a woman answered the phone and quoted me a price $1000 higher, I informed her of the price that dear told me she said she’s quite sure he got the price wrong I told her that Eric spoke with the manager and the manager agree with that price, The woman in for me once again if I called Derek tomorrow I’m going to get the same answer I advise people to avoid this business you can’t trust someone who lies to you over the phone with your money avoid this place at all costs!

Purchase an engine for my 2000 *** Once received it and install it we notice one of the spark plug was wet. We pulled the number 8-spark plug and it had oil and antifreeze on. We pulled the radiator cap and realize that there was bubbles stating there's a crack head gasket. I called Carl to explain to him the situation. That was on Friday July 3 he told me that I should have new paper and my new engine by July 14. I still have not received any paper work with the new engine information or invoice information. I don't know about the place I have a feeling they are not testing this engine and hopping they do not get caught.

This is my second time I had business with ready to start auto and was great experience and I want to thanks Sandra for her great business.
