After receiving numerous catalogs in the mail, I took a chance on a casual shirt While the shipping (standard) is a bit slow, it was received two days earlier than the stated terms In contrast to many of the other reviews here, I'm completely satisfied with the product Summer weight materials, which was clearly stated in the description, good quality, and nice fit! I've since ordered two more shirts, and a pair of shorts Satisfied, and happy customer here!
I ordered an $shirt from the catalog What I got was a shirt only vaguely the same general color, but definitely NOT the same material - not even close They're getting the shirt back, pronto Ironically, today I got another catalog from this company in the mail Straight to the paper-recycle basket!
I hope you can help me get Carbon2cobalt (Carpinteria, CA) to stop sending catalogsI did not order from them, nor did I request their catalogsI wrote to them twice asking them to stop sending catalogs (copies enclosed)Yesterday I received yet another catalog, despite my repeated requests asking them to stop As a consumer, I find it unacceptable that Carbon2cobalt would continue to pester me with catalogs and possibly provide my contact information to other vendors despite repeated requests to stop I note that Revdex.com has set standards of performance (from your website): “Revdex.com’s mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trustWe do this by: Setting standards for marketplace trust Encouraging and supporting best practices by engaging with and educating consumers and businesses Celebrating marketplace role models Calling out and addressing substandard marketplace behavior Creating a community of trustworthy businesses and charities Revdex.com sees
Avoid this companyWhen item is out of stock you get NO NOTICE at all, even when you've paid for item AND the excessive overnite shippingObviously they wanted to retain the sale even tho YOU expected the gift to arrive the next dayRuined a Christmas presentAND you cannot get them to honor multiple requests to stop sales emailsHave no idea what expensive sweater would have been like; Will never shop there ever againBait and Switch: Advertise what they do not have
I purchased three shirts from this company. Two of the shirts were shipped and delivered within six days. However one of the delivered shirts was not the correct item I purchased. I requested a return and exchange which was authorized without return shipping charge. A week later I still had not received confirmation of the returned item, which was sent FedEx. Frustrated by this I called and was told it would take three to four weeks to process the return???!!!. I cancelled the order. The third shirt was on Back order for at least a month (not disclosed at time of purchase) so I cancelled that order as well. I'm frankly surprised this company can stay in business. The only positive note was that the one shirt I did receive that was correct, was a very nice shirt. Too bad the customer service does not match the product quality.
Carbon cobalt has made available my address information to unaffiliated third party vendors with out my consentAs result of this, my mailbox is overflowing with clothing store mailing advertisementsThey are similar in content to this company and there are so many that I am having difficulty keeping up with unsubscribing from them allI don't know how many more I will need to opt out from!
I just placed my first order with Carbon2Cobalt today, but I am already wondering about this companyTheir shipping rates are not honest and, please, don't give me the line that this fee includes "handling"Handling the item before shipping is a usual cost of business, and should be built in to the item's priceIf you are going to charge a separate fee for that, how about charging extra for unpacking the cartons from your suppliers, or to cover your advertising costs, or your rent and warehousing costsCharging for "handling" conveys the impression to me that you consider filling my order an imposition that requires compensation for your trouble And then there's the little notice that if you return anything, $will be deducted from your "return"This makes no grammatical sense, as you cannot deduct money from a "return"But I wonder if this is deliberate, in that perhaps they don't want to be too clear about what they are actually sayingBecause what they really mean is that you, the customer, will be paying the shipping cost for the returnThey state that a shipping label is included in the carton, which in the case of any other mail order company I've dealt with, means that the company will pay for the return shippingBut here, they appear to be playing the game of providing a label that, while it does cover the return shipping, the company then reimburses itself for the cost of the label they provided by taking $out of your refundThis is especially hard to swallow given that the initial shipping charges they impose are more than enough to cover the shipping cost of anything the customer might returnAnd you should not miss that in the catalog the $charge is described as a "small" feeA company that presumes to define for you what the impact of their fees are is being presumptuous at best, and subtly manipulative at worst, as in implying that you should be ashamed of yourself if you consider this fee as consequential I ask the company not to react defensively to what I've writtenA potential customer who gives an accounting of his first impressions after interacting with a catalog and website is actually very valuableWhile I finally did, with misgivings, place an order, I wonder how many people react to what I reacted to and don't place an order that they otherwise would haveI would ask this company to become straightforward and honestIf you are going to charge the customer for returns, then stop the little subterfuges and say so honestlyCut your shipping charges to reflect actual costAnd it wouldn't hurt to reward high dollar purchasers with free shipping instead of punishing them with shipping rates that become ever higher with the size of the order
Run away Bought two copies of same wallet days apart (separate orders)Both arrivedNeither looked like the color or finish shown on websiteReturned both in one package with letter explaining the ENTIRE transaction history including order numbersReceived refund for one returnCompany has ignored all other communication from me requesting refund for the 2nd walletEvidently they're just fine using theft as an alternative to selling merchandiseLike I said: Run away
I have purchased clothes from this company and found their service reasonably good and their merchandise ok What has frustrated me to no end is that I have tried for about years to get them to stop sending me their damn catalogs and they will not stop Every time I go through official sounding channels and am guaranteed that within a few months I will never receive a catalog again This is an obvious lieIf you value your privacy and don't want wasteful garbage mail, do not do business with this company They have taken the Columbia Record and Tape Club model and ran with it
My opinion is that the Carbon2Cobolt products have extremely poor quality productsI ordered a $shirt that looked like very impressive in their online catalogWhen I received the shirt I realized the quality was really poorOn top of the disappointment in quality, C2C puts all of the shipping burden on the buyerThey enclose a shipping label for you to return items, acting like they are doing you a big one if you don’t like the product, but when you read the fine print, they are going to deduct return shipping cost from your refundThere are much better companies out there that care about customersC2C does not care, the risk is all the customers I will never ever, buy anything from this company again
I placed my first order with Carbon Cobalt on 12/3/and I've yet to receive the merchandiseWhen I placed the order it did not say the item was on backorderAnd, I paid $for shipping which says - business days for delivery That is a long time to wait for a delivery especially since I paid $for shipping for a small $item....do they use the pony express??? I called customer service on 12/15/(although it didn't seem like the person was an actual employee of Carbon Cobalt) however, she was able to track my orderShe told me it was being processed that day 12/15/(what a coincidence) And, I did receive notification that the item was shipped on 12/18/17, however, it won't arrive until 12/27/ This item was for a Christmas gift, so I'm extremely disappointed that I ordered an item on 12/3/and it won't arrive until 12/27/ Again, there was no indication that the item was on backorder so I'm assuming that they are just so behind in processing orders I won't be ordering from Carbon Cobalt again So, if you do business with this company, be prepared for a long delay before you receive your merchandise
