Recovery Partners Reviews (61)

Recovery Partners is attempting to collect a Tort claim on behalf of [redacted] Insurance.  On 12/18/09 a Installment Agreement was entered into with [redacted] to make restitution for his claim.  All payments were made until 6/30/14.  We attempted to reach  [redacted] and talked...

with him on a few occasions.  No resolution was initiated by him to continue with his agreement.  The next process with the claim was to move forward with legal review, which was done with our client.  That information was communicated to his sister during a most recent conversation. Since talking with his sister a new agreement has been made to make up the missed payments and continue with the original agreement.

I was contacted by recovery partners pertaining to a debt from an insurance company. After being rudely spoken to, was given an ultimatum to pay $750 this month or they would submit a request to have my license suspended. I offered to pay them $1500 in about 4 to 6 weeks from a larger amount of funds I AM to receive in about that time frame. I have a stay at home wife and four daughters and I commute an hour everyday to work I could not on such short notice pay $750 and they were very unreasonable and very rude and threaten to have my license suspended

I received a call from recovery partners, [redacted], who came on line stating she was submitting a form to have my drivers license suspended and the registration on all vehicles I owned revoked because I had made no attempts to resolve the accident my vehicle was involved in on Dec 28,2012 in [redacted],KS.
She gained this information from my ex-husband, [redacted], not the first time he has stated I was responsible for an accident I was not involved in.
When I contacted the other insurance company, Farmers, they advised me that the registration did NOT list an aka with my name. Ms. [redacted] stated it did. When I asked what authority gave her power to suspend my license, what statute? She said she didnt wrk with statutes, she got her authority from Farmers Insurance Co. When I spoke to Farmers, the agent said he had never heard of this person nor of this company. He also stated that my name was not listed anywhere in the report.
I have not been in the state of Kansas in approx. 13yrs. It is just common sense to take information from an ex- with a grain of salt. I mean, really! If she had done any checking she would have discovered that I never changed my name when I married him nor have I ever used his last name.
If these people are selling a collection service tracking people, Id suggest they do the legwork necessary; otherwise, lest they end up as pawns used to harrass others.

Review: I was contacted by [redacted] December 2014, "account representative" of Recovery Partners LLC and told me that he was calling to start the process of having my vehicle title, registration and California Driver's License suspended and was informed that this action would happen within 4 days. I was thrown for a loop and unclear who he even was , but he "sounded" very stern and intent upon going after me to the fullest extent that the law permitted him to. After this abrupt introduction, he explained that he was attempting to collect on subrogation on behalf of [redacted] regarding an accident that my wife was involved in on 12/6/13. Under. duress, he informed me that the minimum I needed to pay to avoid this harsh action was 200 dollars a month or action would be taken to suspend both my and my wife's driver's licenses. I reluctantly agreed to his terms.

On 4/20/15, I contacted Mr. [redacted] again saying that I could not afford the $200 per month and needed to reduce my automatic withdrawal to $100 per month. He refused to do so and, again threatened to have my driver's license suspended by contact Sacramento DMV and requesting they take action against me. The same day, I contacted the DMV's financial responsibility unit in Sacramento and asked them if Recovery Partners had the authority to have my license suspended et al, and they told me that the DMV is the only institution governing the status of my license and that no outside agency had such authority. Essentially, they told me that I was lied to by Mr. [redacted] and that he was attempting to bully me into complying with his terms.

Another problem, I recognize my financial responsibility in this matter and , in good faith, wish to make good on this liability. Without my knowledge, Recovery partners has cancelled my ACH payment of $200 per month and is now demanding the full subrogation of over $2400 immediately or they will take action with California DMV.

Mr. [redacted] was also rude and out of bounds, not knowing me personally or my living arrangement, telling me that I should take out a loan against "my home" to repay my liability. I am living in my parent's home and don't think that they would appreciate me taking out a loan against their property!Desired Settlement: I Need to have my ACH reinstated to the amount I can afford which is $100 per month.

Response:

We will be reinstating your ACH monthly payments to $100/month as requested.

My husband received a call from Recovery Partners on January 11, 2016. He told them that he wanted to take care of the issue but he was working, that he ALWAYS works 8 to 6 Monday through Saturday, and sometimes has side work. He is a mechanic, was covered in grease and could not take down any info, so to please try to call him another day when he would be available. They called him back at 5:00pm that same day while he was still at work. He obviously did not answer, and worked that night until 9:30pm. After that, he forgot about the call due to the fact that he is constantly WORKING and we have a new BABY and he is still in SCHOOL.
Then, today Jan 27, 2016 another woman JEANETTE M[redacted] called again. She did not state where she worked or what she was calling in reference too but immediately started making threats that she would have his license suspended if he did not send money TODAY.
He was at work (like usual, and like he already told them previously) and could not take the call. She was rude, told him this call was more important than his job, accused him of lying to her and told him that if he did not pay $1400 today they would be submitting to have his license suspended.
He was obviously upset. He works on a mechanic's salary and needs his license and I stay at home with our newborn.
He was so upset he called me from work to have me try to deal with the situation.
When I called, I asked to speak to another agent because JEANETTE M[redacted] was so rude to him. They would not allow me to talk to another agent. When transferred to JEANETTE M[redacted], I was told that I needed to send money again without being told what it was for. When I asked questions, she became hostile. She would not allow me to talk to a supervisor, and told me that my husband was at fault and if he didn't pay and didn't have his license it was his fault for being incompetent.
I realize that this is a situation where we are at fault and need to deal with, but I have never been treated so badly by anyone on the phone. I am not even going to deal with it, I don't care if they send it to another collections, I will NEVER send them money.

The coustmer service team here is very rude and unprofessional. [redacted] has threaten me, Hung up on me, And just very rude and unprofessional. Good luck with any claims this place has on you. Im trying to go straight threw where the claim was recived from now.

Review: This company reported I have a bad debt at a doctors office when I have never been at that dr. or any dr. and my SSN did not match the person who actually made the charges nor does our name match completely. A charge for a [redacted] was reported as my bad debt, I am [redacted]. They even admitted the SSN does not match. They claimed they would fix it and it would take 30-90 days but now approximately 60 days later my credit report did not get fixed, instead it reported again as a bad debt. I've worked my whole like to pay every bill on time and now have two "Major Derogatory Account" listings reported that are not mine thanks to these guys. How do you report this data based on first / last name only? I called again today and [redacted] the umpteenth person I've spoken too said they've done all they can while I sit with these two bad marks.Desired Settlement: GET THESE OFF MY [redacted]. THEY SENT ME A LETTER BUT NO ONE WANTS A LETTER OR ACCOMODATES "A LETTER" IN THIS ELECTRONIC WORLD WHEN THEY RUN YOUR CREDIT REPORT. I'M BUYING A LAND ROVER AND HAVE A REFI ON MY HOUSE WAITING ON THIS ERROR TO BE CORRECTED.

Response:

Recovery Partners was attempting to collect on behalf of [redacted]. An account was forwarded to us on 11/13/14 with the name of [redacted] and an address of [redacted]. We sent a validation letter to that address and did not receive a response. We attempted to reach [redacted] via telephone and no response. On 3/19 [redacted] called us to say this was on his credit, we reviewed the DOS information with him and he agreed this was his and he needed to contact his insurance and would call back. On 3/27 [redacted] called in to say this was not his and needed it removed from his [redacted]. On that date we used [redacted] to request deletion from the credit bureau.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Unreal that they twist this to make it appear I agreed this could be my debt. I called when it appeared on my credit report and told them it absolutely was NOT my debt however I would verify that with the creditor. Recovery had NO information to help me ascertain if this was somehow a debt overlooked by me therefore I was forced to call the actual creditor. The issue still remains, regardless of the fact that I went out of my way to remedy this with zero assistance on their part, that they have not only NOT REMOVED THEIR ERROR after admitting it, but they ADDITIONALLY DUPLICATED THE ERROR BY REPORTING IT AGAIN SO THAT I HAVE TWO MAJOR DEROGATORY MARKS on an otherwise good credit rating. Their "letter" admitting they were in error does nothing to help my score as the scoring system does not take their letter into account and score is all that matters. Is it impossible to fix their error and if so what kind of company is this? Inaccurately report me as someone else one time is an error, duplicate it doubling the damage instead of fixing it when they fully admit they were in error is NEGLIGENCE!!! SIMPLY FIX IT, CORRECT IT, REMOVE IT FROM MY BUREAU.

Business

Response:

The deletion has been sent to the bureau's. Unfortunately we can not speed up there process. I would recommend reaching out to them as they are the ones that matched the information incorrectly that we sent to your record.

Recovery Partners is a attempting to subrogate a tort claim against [redacted] was responsible for a car accident on 11/12/12 and was uninsured. We have followed all rules and regulations in attempting to subrogate this claim from [redacted]. We have offered multiple options to repay and none have been accepted at this point. We have asked [redacted] to present a plan for repayment and none has been offered. We are here to work with [redacted] when he is ready to clear this claim.

This company called my cell at 7:30am this morning. I of course ignored it because I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know at unreasonable hours. They left no voicemail. I googled the number and saw nothing but comments saying the callers were rude, they wouldn't give up when told they had the wrong number and that they made threats to people they called.

Review: I received a notice from the debt collecting agent stating that I have $1036.63 due. I do not recognize this debt and I tried to contact [redacted], which is the debt collecting agent's client regarding this amount. Review: I recieved a notice from Recovery Partners requesting payment. They say that have a claim that has been placed with their office for collection against me and their client is [redacted]. In this first contact I have recieved it states 1.)I have failed to provide valid ins information as a results payment is due in full. 2. that failure to resolve this claim may result in them sending a license suspension request to my states DMV, 3) That failure to resolve this may result in their client pursuing legal action against me. It also stated that the balance may increase due to additional medical or porperty damage payments. It states that unless I contact them within 30 days they will assume that this is a valid claim. They also state at the bottom of the form that they are a licensed by the [redacted] of commerce.

It says that I owe 1614.00. This seems quite excessive for one broken window.Desired Settlement: I would like an copy of the actual cost with an itimized amount for the repair and replacement costs. I would like proof and verification ond a copy of the judgement that they mention in the letter. I would also like reasonable payment plan after a reasonable amount can be established. I am currently an out of work college student, and could only afford about $50.00 a month that I make doing short term work.

Recovery Partners represents Farmers insurance in this subrogation matter. The trailer was uninsured. We have tried to communicate with [redacted] without cooperation to resolve the matter. Please notify Recovery Partners if further action is required.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Prior to that I was on a Medical Leave of Absence starting on May 5th to September 5th 2012!

Review: I received a letter from Recovery Partners LLC around the second week of April. It stated that I owed X amount of dollars for an accident that I was involved in at the beginning of April. I called the company to inform them that I was not involved in any type of accident and that they had the wrong person. The representative was very rude and just came back with, "Well, this is your debt and you can either pay it or we'll send a request to the DMV to have your license suspended." I informed the rep that I was never involved in any type of accident at all this year so they had the wrong person, and that I was not paying for something I didnt do. The rep told me that if I wasnt the one driving my car, it was "someone else", which is impossible because only I have the keys to my car, and was not even driving around on the stated date. I asked the rep why I wasnt contacted prior to this letter about the accident, and he stated that he did not know why. I also asked for more information about this "accident", and all he told me is it happened in "OC", no specific city, streets, no location whatsoever. I asked for proof that this claim was in fact filed, and he stated that he didnt have anything to send me because it was still under investigation. I asked him how is that so if they had already sent me a bill for a certain amount. He said "thats just how it works." I asked him to send me documents of proof because I did not plan to pay this and he stated that they "MIGHT" have paperwork if I called in 2 days. I called back today and a new rep told me that they would POSSIBLY send me paperwork by next Friday. The whole thing sounds like a scam, as I was not involved in an accident, and when I tried explaining that to the reps, they didnt try to help solve the problem, but instead kept saying I had to pay them or else my license would be suspended. The reps are VERY rude. Ive already reported this to the police and DMV, and do not plan on paying anything. Both say its scam.Desired Settlement: I want this "debt" to be cleared from my name completely and do not wish for any of this to be placed in a negative way against my good credit. This is NOT my debt, and I want this resolved ASAP. No more letters or calls regarding this scam account.

Review: My complaint is regarding Recovery Partners, I believe they are a collections agency, however I was unable to ascertain much information over the phone. My first call was from one of their associates named [redacted], The company during the first few contacts represented themselves as a legal institution, stating that they were able to practice law in the state of "California". When I asked to be directed to a manager who could perhaps answer more of my questions the call was quickly terminated. My call was in response to a rather rude message my wife received stating that she was not covered from a fender bender she was in a few years ago, even though they seemed to have little information about the specifics of the accident. Only demanding that we pay them a fee of over $700 dollars within the next week or my wife's license would be suspended and our current vehicle impounded. Upon my third re-call to the company I was able to establish the businesses name, however many of their current business practices seem to be near criminal in the way Recovery Partners operates. During my Third call I was informed that I was being recorded... which in the state of California where I reside,is illegal to do unless you first inform the other party you are going to do so. Secondly all I asked for was any documentation they could send me for a billing purposes, when I asked if documentation could be sent out the same day due to the rapidly approaching penalties they had threatened, they informed me that they would send them "when they were good and ready". I was very rudely and unprofessionally talked to by both the representative and the management of the company. The manager hung up on me while I was simply requesting information, after I had been informed I was being recorded I asked him for a copy of the recording, he said I could submit a formal claim in writing then when I asked for the companies address he hung up on me. Frankly all of this sent alarm bells ringing that this company might simply be some sort of boiler room operation, and during the course of a rather intense internet search I was able to find that the business is located in Arizona, and that it is indeed a registered business. It seems ridiculous that this company is registered with an organization called the Revdex.com. This company did not know my wife's current address or any relevant current information about my wife, they also initially claimed that they were associated with farmers insurance company, which I can not ascertain as being true ( no one at farmers can verify this) . It is my advise that you seek legal council if you have been contacted by this company and even perhaps contact your local police if they have broken any laws in regards to your case.Desired Settlement: The Revdex.com should immediately end any association with this company.

Dear Samantha,

We have done a complete investigation into this file. We are attempting to subrogate against Mr. [redacted] wife [redacted] was involved in an accident on 1/16/13. The insurance she provided was denied, and we are attempting to recover this claim. Part of our process is to notify the state of that information and they will determine the status of her license. Our client had been in contact with [redacted] regarding this claim, she is fully aware what this is about. Since this complaint was filed, Mr. [redacted] has confirmed who we are through our client. We have been factual in all our communication with Mr. [redacted] regarding the details of the claim. All of the claims he made against us outside the facts of the claim are false.

Sincerely,

Recovery Partners

Review: Several months ago I began receiving calls from Recovery Partners. When I finally spoke to their representative I learned that they thought I had been involved in a motor vehicle accident. After some discussion the representative, John Hooker stated that I was not the person they were looking for as our names were spelled differently. However, he continued to call and harass me. Subsequently, on another call I asked to speak to his supervisor, he refused initially, but after I became agitated he relented. I was then connected with Kayla, the manager. She stated that my information would be removed from their list. Then today I get another call from a different representative. This time I was connected with Kayla without too much trouble. She says that my name will be removed but that certainly did not work last time and based on Revdex.com reviews and Google reviews it is not likely to happen. It also appears that they just hand it off to another person as a standard practice. She also stated that my drivers license number is not the same as what they have on file. (I never gave them my drivers license number so not sure how she would know this). I have requested a letter from them stating that I am not the person involved in the auto accident that they are looking for but have been refused.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter from them stating that I am not the person involved in the auto accident and a full copy of my credit report at their expense so I can ensure they have not put derogatory information on my record. If I find derogatory information in regards to this issue I will expect them to remove that from my record with any expenses being incurred by Recovery Partners.

Recovery Partners is pursing a tort damage claim on behalf of [redacted]. We mistakenly called Mr. [redacted] we apologize for the mistake. Our Manager confirmed the information has been removed from our system. We will forward a letter to Mr. [redacted] confirming the removal. Based on the type of claim these accounts are, they are not reported to the credit bureau, so no confirmation of that is necessary.

Review: Company failed to contact me in writing as required by law via a demand letter. It filed with the credit bureaus two days after it received the file.Desired Settlement: 1- A full explanation of its policies

2- A full description of ANY and ALL information about me or the account that this company transferred to all three credit bureaus. I need an actual image of what transferred, not what they say they transferred.

3- Stop automatic dialing of phone numbers that may not even be the correct number. STOP harassing people with constant auto-dialed phone calls.

4- A letter from the company explaining to me how they are going to correct the illegally reported derogatory entries into my credit report, and coordinate that activity with me.

5- A letter of apologies from the Company

6- Mandating disclosure of the contact information including phone and email of the manager upon demand. Clerks refuse to escalate calls.

7- Compliance with communication rules. When I called the company a few days ago, after 10 minutes of conversation, the lady tells me that the phone conversation is recorded!!! This is breaking the law. You have to obtain consent before recording not after it. STOP this illegal practice, and confirm in writing that you have done so.

Response:

Recovery Partners is attempting to collect on behalf of [redacted]. An account was received on 10/15/2014 and entered into our system. An [redacted] disclosure notice was generated and mailed on 10/16/14 to the address [redacted], IL [redacted] that was confirmed as a good address by Mr. [redacted]. On 12/02/14 the account was submitted to the bureaus. The information that Mr. [redacted] is stating is incorrect. Multiple attempts were made to his confirmed number to resolve the account.

I was introduced to this company because they were hired by [redacted] to collect money for an accident. I did have insurance during the time, but I was threatened that my license was going to be suspended if I did not pay the $700 of property damage. After working on everything and unsuccessfully asserting the course of action with my insurance, I ended up settling and paying out of my own pocket for the damages. All done, case closed. Or so I thought. I received a phone call almost two years later by RP Solutions. The man on the phone, someone I had never heard of before, introduces himself by saying something in the lines of "well well, this has finally caught up to you". I had no idea what he was talking about, and asked him who he was. Apparently, the man whose car I tapped, and literally, it was a tap, put in for medical bills and I was now expected to pay $3900.00. I did not know of this. The man calling me told me that he had sent a letter to my home, which I had moved from, and I told him that this was the first time I ever heard of this new claim. I talked to my insurance, and till this day, they have not helped me as much as they should have, I admit. I gave my insurance representative the number to [redacted], the man who works for RP and kept calling and threatening to suspend my license. When I checked back a few day later, she told me that she would no longer speak to him. She told me that he was extremely rude and unprofessional to her as well. I was also advised by my insurance not to make any payment to RP, and to tell [redacted] to give me an invoice of the medical charges done. When I called RP solutions today I told the operator that I did not want to speak to [redacted] because he was rude, and wanted to speak to someone else about getting my invoice. The operator transferred me to [redacted], his supervisor. When I told [redacted] my situation, that I was not comfortable speaking to [redacted], he told me to hold on, put me on hold and when the phone came back up I heard a voice I recognized on the other line saying something in the lines of "you did not have insurance during this accident". When I asked who this was, he said "This is [redacted]. Why don't you want to talk to me?" The fact that his supervisor, knowing that I explicitly asked him not to transfer me to [redacted], gives him the phone is absolutely the most unprofessional action I have ever heard of. The altercation with [redacted] continued and the conversation ended with him saying that he was going to turn in the paperwork to suspend my license, that he had recorded this whole conversation for [redacted] in order to tell them that I had denied payment and was not cooperating. I am sorry, but I have no reason to pay anybody any money unless I get an invoice or a letter saying that I owe that amount. All I know, still dealing with this in the present, that I cannot fathom the reason that this company is still up and running and that a "good insurance company, such as [redacted], has an affiliation with them.

Review: We have received a call today from this agency threatening to "Suspend my Driver's Licence". They stated they were calling on behalf of an insurance company.

The agent stated that they are going to file a request with the DPS today to suspend my licence, referencing an uninsured vehicle accident involving a [redacted] in 2013 that was allegedly under my name. They were saying the accident involved me at first, but then when I confirmed it was not, they stated I am still responsible because the vehicle was in my name, which is not true.

I have never owned a [redacted] and spent most of 2013 with my husband in the **. Also I have never gotten in a car wreck ever before.

I am contacting you seeking your assistance with contacting this collections agency and ensuring they have their facts right before getting me involved with anything like this.Desired Settlement: This agency must stop contacting me about this car that I have never owed, and a car wreck that I have never gotten into.

I would also like them to apologize for insisting that I was responsible for this and for threatening to suspend my driver's licence.

Response:

Recovery Partners is attempting to subrogate a tort claim on behalf of [redacted]. On 5/2/13 [redacted] was the driver of the vehicle owned by her sister [redacted] that was involved in an accident. In conversation with [redacted] she refuses to resolve and that the car is owned by [redacted] and it was insured. A claim was filed and denied as [redacted] was excluded from the policy. Upon contact with [redacted], she refuses responsibility and states the car belongs to [redacted] has yet to provide a bill of sale as she claims [redacted] owns the car. We will provide the state of [redacted] with the facts and they can decide if they will move forward with license suspension.

This company was rude, called my names on the phone, and did not do their due diligence before harassing me on the phone. They claimed I had not paid a bill, which I had paid 6 weeks prior. They said they had represented their client and needed proof of this bill payment. I asked them to confirm with their client before harassing me. But they said it was my responsibility to prove it. If they had only spoken with their client, they would have seen the bill had been paid. They continued to threaten me with legal action and called me names, told me I was being rude and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. When I sent them the proof that I had paid the bill- 6 weeks prior to their phone call - and asked for an apology for their mistake, they told me to "have a nice day!" I also asked for the company's address which they refused to provide. The representative refused to provide, claiming they sent it to me. His name was:

Review: Good morning,

I have called Recovery Partners in behalf of my brother, he had given verbal authorization to this company for me to speak in his behalf.

[redacted] was very rude from the beginning. As I was trying to get to a resolution on this acct. She proceeded to interrupt the conversation and disconnected me twice. Rqstd to speak to a supervisor, she said it wasn't necessary. She yelled at me, and told me to do whatever I wanted to.

Recovery Partners was handling this claim in behalf of [redacted] insurance, my brother [redacted]. and Reocvery Partners had an agreement, they were deducting $80.00 p/month out of his bank acct. He lost this card last summer, we went camping during the time was [redacted] was trying to reach him, she called my mother. At his return, [redacted] called [redacted] back, she sad because of this cards switch, they weren't able to take last pymt. He asked to make the pymt he had missed, she said "No" "You didn't call me back when I called you , now your acct is being closed and your drivers license is going to be taken away".

He have tried to talk to her in several ocassions and wasn't going anywhere. I offered my help as I have been working in this industry for a while now. I thought would be able to understand a little better the situation and try to find a resolution together.

I have worked as a customer service rep for several years an I can assure you that I have never encountered such an unprofessional person as [redacted],

disconnecting my call as she was yelling over me talking and telling me she is not going to transfer me to anyone.

When I called [redacted] back, she yelled and disconnected me.

I tried to call the regular ph# for this company that I located on the web. Explained the situation, she said, I will have her supervisor( [redacted]'s supervisor) give you a call. I never received a call. His name appeared to be [redacted].

Instead I got a call from [redacted] telling me this acct was not longer with them, she had sent it back to [redacted]. I don't have to call them anymore.

What kind of company is this.Desired Settlement: I need the supervisor to get this acct back from [redacted], reinstate the pymt plan with this company. [redacted] wouldn't accept since any pymts from this past summer. It doesn't make sense she wouldn't take any more pymts, it's been several months. She needs to have cust service training or be fired from this company.

I need an apology letter addressed to me.

Business

Response:

Recovery Partners is attempting to collect a Tort claim on behalf of [redacted] Insurance. On 12/18/09 a Installment Agreement was entered into with [redacted] to make restitution for his claim. All payments were made until 6/30/14. We attempted to reach [redacted] and talked with him on a few occasions. No resolution was initiated by him to continue with his agreement. The next process with the claim was to move forward with legal review, which was done with our client. That information was communicated to his sister during a most recent conversation. Since talking with his sister a new agreement has been made to make up the missed payments and continue with the original agreement.
